We did a Google spreadsheet in my last BMB after we moved to a private group. I'm all for it - but wouldn't feel comfortable sharing anything until we've moved.
I made the Google spreadsheet for either my July ‘18 BMB or August ‘20 BMB and it was so nice!! Color coded and quickly was able to reference info If we wanted to remember something about someone ETA fixed date
@mdfarmchick The odds of that are super slim with the NIPT, but it would feel like such a shock when you thought it was going to be a 4th boy! Being certain will be exciting!!🥰
Aww thanks everyone. I am very excited… not sure that it will sink in until I confirm it on the ultrasound in 3 weeks. 🤣🤣🤣 I am always worried that I am the 1% where it is wrong. 🤣 I am also a bit terrified of girls. I don’t know what to do! I rock at tractors and monster trucks and refereeing wrestling matches.
@mdfarmchick lol! I literally understand how you feel. I'm still in a state of disbelief over finding out baby is a girl. I had in my mind I'd end up a boy mama, and since I know what to do with boys, I could handle it. Adjusting my thinking to also being a girl mom... that's going to take some time.
We got our NIPT results today and baby is low risk for everything and a boy!! We were hoping for a girl (it just seems to fit us better?) and I thought I’d be disappointed but I was just really excited and happy. It feels so much more real! Also everyone I know here has a boy (this will be the 5th boy in my smallest social circle) which is kind of fun. Definitely more hand me downs!
@darkrose88 exactly!! I am so excited and especially for MH to have the whole father/daughter bond which is different but also just a huge adjustment. 🤣 My friend was like, now you can buy all the “mom of both stuff” and I said, or maybe just stuff that says Momma on it? Haha
@pastabilities congratulations! I can say with experience that little boys are just amazing. You are going to love it. They are very sweet with their mommas.
I feel the exact same as you @mdfarmchick & @darkrose88 I’m still in shock and disbelief. I’ve wanted a girl so bad that it’s almost like a too good to be true feeling. Also, it is going to be so strange to be a mom of a girl. I’ll also definitely have to change my thinking a little. It’s all trucks, trains, and tractors over here! Lol.
@pastabilities congratulations on your boy!! As @mdfarmchick said, they really are so special!!! And they definitely do love their mamas!!
I did not grow up with brothers, nor was I a tomboy, but I loved all toys as a kid, especially trains and building toys, probably why I'm in the STEM field now. My mom was buying presents for a relative's kid recently, and got her a dress up box with a bunch of princess like dresses. I'm not usually one to point out gender things, but I suggested that maybe she gets some other outfits, like doctors or chef outfits too instead of just dresses. Turns out she loves the chef outfit to play in her kitchen. So don't worry if all you know are trucks and trains. Your little girls will probably have a blast with those too.
@mdfarmchick@paytonpedro FWIW DD loves trains, trucks, and dinosaurs just as much as her baby dolls and kitchen set. She only recently got into being a princess. I plan on buying exactly 0 toys for this baby. Try not to over think it.
@paytonpedro I have always wanted a little girl too. But it definitely feels too good to be true and if feels SO weird to say out loud that I'm having a girl or "my daughter".
@mdfarmchick we definitely have way more traditional boy toys in the house, but we've always bought toys based off of his interests more than his assigned gender, e.g. he loves playing kitchen & carrying around a baby doll. I suspect a little girl in a house full of boys will enjoy playing with her older brothers' toys.
My daughter loves her baby dolls but she also loves playing with dinosaurs and trucks and getting all up in the dirt (more so than her brother ever did even) and lives to tackle her brother at every opportunity so trust me, girls can hang.

I feel very unsure now that I went to my dr appointment. My OB said 14 weeks was a bit to early to correctly identify the sex of the baby. And while the ultrasound place did show me what look like boy parts, I’m reading that girl parts can be swollen and look very similar. And there are other photos from the scan that look like it’s a girl. So I’m confused. I didn’t look through all the photos until now but I guess I’ll know for sure in a few weeks
@and_peggy I’m sure it’s confusing to not know for sure. I’ve read and heard the same thing and that it’s more common for girls to be misidentified as boys than the other way around
@and_peggy I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the girl parts at my ultrasound, if it weren't for the missing middle part, I would have sworn it looked like tiny boy parts. It is definitely possible baby was just swollen that day. Like others, I'm keeping my FX for you that baby is another girl.
@and_peggy did the u/s place give you any kind of disclaimer that it may not be accurate that early? Seems odd they would offer a gender scan if it was too early. I just looked at some boutique places near me and they all say gender scan starting at 15 weeks.

@coco2787 no but they were the only in town that would do it that early. Their disclaimer was if they couldn’t tell for sure, they’d bring you back for another scan at no charge.
@and_peggy I don't mind sharing a picture of baby via a PM although it sounds like @wigglyicecream was on top of it! But if you still want to it, just let me know.
@and_peggy having two girls, their parts are definitely swollen and I thought DD2 was a boy when I saw the scan before the tech said GIRL. They definitely know what to look for!
Also, girls play with all toys! My daughter's love dinosaurs, superheroes, trains, cars, ninjas, bugs, mud, etc. They just also love glitter, barbies, nail polish, and rainbows.
Eeek...we find out the gender on Tuesday and I'm soooo eager to know! I have no guesses this time.
@mdfarmchick Growing up, I was both girly and a tomboy? I played with toy cars on a piece of trim as a ramp, and my little sister would push me in my tonka dump truck. My 2 older sisters used to play “sled dogs” and one ripped something out of the other’s mouth along with two teeth (they weren’t loose, but grew back a couple years later..) They would wrestle like boys. We all played outside, in trees, and in the sandbox. We played cowboys on stick horses, pretended to camp and have restaurants and stores. I loved my cabbage patch and other dolls and stuffed animals. My older sisters preferred stuffed animals to dolls. We did a lot of imaginative play. Also we had pet frogs in a tank that I loveddd! All this before our only brother came along. Very little changed, except he didn’t get our hand-me-downs. He had a boy doll, but they didn’t get too many more toys, because we already had toy animals and cars, etc.. growing up, we played the same things. All this to say, don’t feel like it’s automatically going to be a calm, sweet little princess that only like girly things. She may surprise you!😅 When she’s about 1-2, she will show you everything she likes in the toy aisle anyway, so you’ll pick up any cues about her preferences. What colors she wears and toys she has an infant, will of course be whatever you prefer. It’ll be a fun adventure to see how she’s both different and similar to her brothers!🥰
@and_peggy I read that a swollen bump pointing up is likely a girl, and pointing down is a boy. I don’t know the accuracy or how obvious that is though.
@paytonpedro your chart was correct for me twice. I’m super thankful to be having another baby boy, but the superstitious/gender disappointment part of me wishes I planned with the chart.
Re: I’m just here for the SEX
@wigglyicecream I love that gif! Thanks.
lol at your husbands comment about this costing him more money…. My husband said something very similar 🤣🤣
