@rachelredhead I thought I was crazy thinking the same thing lately!
@313Meg I feel you. I was excited once I got past the initial shock. But now that I feel like crap and I feel like both my kids have been acting out I find myself thinking "what on earth was I excited about". I think it's normal? I cried a lot with my 2nd thinking I was hurting my daughter by taking my time away from her but she loves her brother more than anything in the world. And we love our kids, even when they're sucking all our energy out. So I'm sure in my heart things will be perfect. But whoosh, hard to get there right now.
Ugh. I'm soooo nauseous. The only time I'm not nauseous is literally while I'm in the process of eating something. So of course I ate too much today because I was feeling like dirt, which made me feel worse, which made me throw up, which made me eat again:/ I need to just stick to tea and peanut butter tomorrow and see if that helps. If I keep doing this I'm going to gain 3000lbs by the time my first ultrasound comes around...and I don't even know if it's viable yet:/
@Panaceia ugh, I remember that very feeling from my first pregnancy 😫 I just ate constantly to help the nausea - sour cream and onion chips and rice cakes were my saving grace…. And 8mg of Zofran daily. Here’s to hoping the tea and pb gives some relief tomorrow.
This morning I had my first big wave of nausea. The source: looking at the 6 week fetus formation update. The words "arm buds" made my stomach turn, and then I felt super guilty for being grossed out by my own kid already, haha.
@rachelredhead I’ve had a lot of round ligament pain going on a week or two now as well. It’s baby number 3 so that has come earlier with each pregnancy.
And today even water isn't staying down. Maybe it's a good thing I ate so much the past few days...because I may never be able to eat again:/ I hope this isn't the start of HG again. I've never had it start before 10 weeks before...
Is anyone else feeling EXTREMELY bloated? I started this journey in a size 4 jeans and recently bumped up to my old size 6'ers and still feel like I can't breathe! I'm only 7+4 so it feels like it's too soon for this 😂
Last pregnancy I gained WAY too much so this time around I have even been more conscious about what I'm eating.
@panaceia Oh, no! I'm so sorry. I hope you can find some relief soon.
This might sound weird, but the area near my belly button (internally) is tender. I know that the uterus will be pushing up, but could that be what this is? I feel like it's too soon. I also have moments of lightning nipples, which are totally fun and not annoying at all.

@313Meg I’m also kind of having a hard time being excited, but I think it’s a mixture of being constantly nauseous and feeling guilty for my son not being an only child anymore. @michelle_bird I’m feeling the exact way you said you did before your second, so I’m hoping we have the same experience and that my son just adores his sib!
@Panaceia I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this! As bad as my nausea is, I’m at least thankful I’m not throwing up yet! 😔 hugs to you!!
And so pretty much like I just said, the nausea is in full force, and it is making me miserable. It was hard enough dealing with nausea the first time, but now that I have a toddler to take care of, it’s excruciating. I’m finding myself wishing away my summer so I can go to work to at least potentially keep my mind off of how awful I feel.
I'm finding my lack of symptoms worrisome. I'm approx 7w+2d, and in the earlier days all i had was extreme fatigue for about 5 days and a couple random days with bad headaches. Now all I'm feeling is slight fatigue still but not too noticeable, and very bad bloating. Thats it really. Possibly some slight food aversions, more carb cravings than usual. I had an US around 6 weeks and they saw the heartbeat but it was too hard to count to get the bmp. I am going back this Saturday to get a better reading. I know everyone has different experiences, but this is my first pregnancy and I just can't help it! Possible I am one of the few that don't experience any morning sickness, in which case I should probably just shut up! Lol
@newmamab89 I’ve had 4 term pregnancies and only in 1 did I have morning sickness. It was HG so it was pretty terrible. I had maybe a touch here or there but I basically felt completely normal in 3/4 so it does happen. But I get the headspace of it - I haven’t had any symptoms yet and it fills my head with unwanted thoughts for sure but it’s totally normal to feel normal.
@newmamab89 I also had a pretty uneventful first tri with my first pregnancy. Mild nausea started between 7-8 weeks but hardly noticeable most days and never puked. This time around I have been sick as a dog since 5 weeks. So crazy how one body can 2 completely different experiences.
@elle-0409 ugggghhh, I'd forgotten about lightning nipples
Starting yesterday or the day before (7ish weeks) heart palpitations. I can literally feel my heart beating and a fluttery feeling in my chest... it's awesome.
@newmamab89 I totally understand the head games that having little or no morning sickness plays on someone, but I think statistically speaking 20-30 percent of women don't get it. Which is actually a decent number! I think it is more likely that on boards like this those women remain quiet instead of announcing it over and over. So, it can seem like everyone has morning/all day sickness on a board like this and that you are out of the norm.
So this is the furthest I've made it in any pregnancy. I'm at 9+2 days and things seem good albeit I'm going to be 36 and having my first child. I've been good symptoms wise minus heartburn and constipation, and feeling extremely tired but can't sleep. No really nausea or anything so definitely lucky there.
@newmamab89 I was sick with my daughter, but barely knew I was pregnant with my son. No symptoms at all. A friend of mine has the exact opposite symptoms with her son/daughter. Totally normal!
I hardly had symptoms with my first 2. I was nauseous for a bit with my first and with my second I had some food aversions. This time I just have sore nipples. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m still breastfeeding but they are so painful!!
@newmamab89 I didn’t have any morning sickness in my first 2 pregnancies. It freaked me out so much the first time around I was convincing myself there was something wrong and praying for nausea every day. Second pregnancy I just relaxed and thanked the pregnancy gods that I felt good. This time around I’ve had two mornings where my tummy felt a little off but not much to write home about. @Lcardinal04 is so right about mammas w/o morning sickness not always chiming in, but we exist and it is totally normal!
oh no. My coffee aversion showed up. Partnered with bigtime increase in nausea. I may start b6/unisom soon. I hate to complain because i'm happy to have symptoms that result in a baby (fingers crossed) but woof.
Symptoms finally came on strong the past few days. This is what I remember from my last pregnancy. Exhaustion and terrible nonstop nausea. I feel like garbage.
Ok I thought I was crazy with the round ligament pain/cramping so early this time around. I definitely feel like my uterus is stretching and can’t suck in my stomach well and I’m only 5+2! Not sure what I’m feeling move around in there because it legit feels like phantom baby movements which is ridiculous.
@michelle_bird I just got a prescription from my doctor yesterday, she has be on 25 mg 3x daily. She didn't really give me a time, so I'm going to do before bed, when waking, and midday.
Did you find it worked right away, or took a few days? The nausea is really starting to build, but thankfully no vomiting.
Y’all talk me off of the ledge. I have been cramping on and off since yesterday. It’s not super painful or anything and doesn’t feel like period cramps. But I’m def noticing it and I have unfortunately had 2 losses before. I know cramping is normal but of course I’m panicking and it’s the weekend 😭. I’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow. Do the stretching pains start this early??
@Nik102 if you’re just cramping, it’s likely your body stretching. If you start bleeding also, that’s more of a concern. Just take a breath and try to stay positive. I’ve had 4 healthy pregnancies and have cramped or bled in all of them. It’s normal, albeit scary.
@v2hb Thanks! I worry about not bleeding because I’m on progesterone so that would delay things if the worst happened. Keep trying to remind myself it’s totally normal and if this were my best friend asking, I would tell her the same. Just sucks 😩
@Panaceia thanks! I remember cramping with my son but that was almost 8 years ago. Crazy how the only people who truly understand what we are going through right now are strangers on the internet. ❤️❤️
@Nik102 I've had mild cramping on and off, and had the same with my daughter. Similar to the cramping I would get the few days leading up to my period, but never progressing to anything more.
Oddly enough, I've only had this mild cramping with my daughter and this pregnancy. The loss that I had where I was 10+ weeks I had it around 6-7 weeks, then it went away. All other losses didn't have cramping aside from around implantation. The only cramping I got were the strong cramps when the loss was actually occurring.
Walking through the grocery store today I couldn't tell if I was going to sh*t my pants or vomit... I knew something was going to happen, but couldn't tell which. Apparently, even constipation can make you feel like you're going to have diarrhea, who knew.
