@laurabridget@firewife2021 that's so crazy! They don't want to do a dating ultrasound around then?? What info would they even have to give you at that point? Hopefully you guys can get an U/S soon after!
@firewife2021 Interesting! I guess that's cool if you have some questions, but it kinda reminds me of the whole "have a meeting where an email would have sufficed" type of thing. I had a Telehealth appointment for an unrelated thing a couple weeks ago, and sure enough, it concluded with "we don't really know anything unless you come into the office". Yeah, figured that was coming
That’s what I said! Basically to confirm my due date, which I obviously did with a due date calculator off the web so I’m getting charged for nothing! 😫 My friend is an MA for and on ob/gyn and she said because of Covid they haven’t seen a lot of people till they’re 10-12 weeks and sometimes not even till 20 if you can get blood work and stuff done at a lab!
How did you find out? Took a pregnancy test at 10DPO hoping and there it was, a pretty positive! I removed my IUD in January thinking it would take a few cycles before anything transpired.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is baby #3, but child #6 for our household. 4 boys and a sassy daughter. Our youngest is 6. My fiancée and I are both school teachers and professional coaches with strong backgrounds in boxing and kickboxing. We were planning a nice wedding in August after track season ends but before school starts. Now, it’s all up in the air. Our life is simple, lots of love lots of crazy and lots of laundry detergent.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Feeling good. Blessed and Loved.
@justjenaya Welcome, so glad to see you here! What do you teach? I was a high school social studies teacher for 10 years before becoming a SAHM, I miss teaching so much!
Welcome and congratulations @justjenaya! I am also a teacher. I've been teaching 4th grade all online this year and can't wait to get back to my regular classroom!
Introduce yourself: Hello everyone! I am Marijke, originally from the Netherlands, I am residing here in Texas, happily married to; you guessed it, a Texan 😄 and of course we are expecting. It is lovely to virtually meet y’all. (See, i’m already adapting to the lingo lol).
Due date? January 7th.
How did you find out? ....I was late
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Well, I am the proud stepmom of two teenage boys. We have... wait for it: 2 Dogs 2 Cats 2 Snakes Own 2 houses
So.. perhaps at this rate I might be expecting twins. 😅
Hubby is an officer in the military and teaches military science at the university in our city.
I used to be a Dutch language analyst at Apple, but had to wait for my permanent resident status which has been granted last month!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): I am feeling well, a little bit of pressure in my lower belly, making me somewhat fearful since i’ve recently had a MC, which is twice in a row. No problem or so it seems in getting pregnant, but staying pregnant is more challenging. Still have to make my first appointment. I was actually in the middle of finding out if there was anything amiss, going through several tests.
Either way, it is lovely to be part of a community.
Due date? Best guess is Jan 22nd, but did not record date for my LMP
How did you find out? Just had a feeling yesterday that I wasn’t alone in this body (lol) so I decided to swing by the store for a digital test. Sure enough, it said 1-2 weeks pregnant!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am 31, DH is 35. I own a small business and DH works in government. We’ve been married for 10 years. We have a boy turning 5 in June and a girl turning 2 in July. We’re Canadian 🇨🇦 This will probably be our last baby. We seem to have our hands full already, but we couldn’t resist one more! We were not actively trying, but we also weren’t trying to prevent. I am obsessed with all things baking and cooking, mostly plant based 🌱 I am also in love with travelling, especially to warm places.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally? feeling lucky and excited. Went by the doctors office today because she had a drive in clinic. She gave me a requisition for blood test and ultrasound. No symptoms yet, but I have already convinced hubby to drive to the store for ice cream due to my “craving” as well as watching the kids while I napped today 😆
How did you find out? I took a test yesterday morning (and then 2 more and one this morning...) because I just hadn't been feeling "right"
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have two other children, almost 5 and 1.5. One kitty cat. I'm a chemist at a nuclear power plant. Love reading, hiking, traveling.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) My appt isn't until 5/26. I'm tired, bloated, and a little sick. Emotionally I am trying to wrap my head around things because this 100% wasn't planned. I think I'm still just in shock about the whole thing.
Due date? Based on LMP, June 14th but I went at 38 weeks with my first and my doc said that is likely to happen with another. So I could potentially have a NYE baby
How did you find out? Pregnancy test when my period was a few days late. I always know when I am pregnant though so I had a feeling.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have one daughter who is 4 years old. I have had three miscarriages over the last 2.5 years so I am cautious about whether this one will work out but I have finally gotten to a good headspace where I know I will be ok no matter what. This will be my last attempt for my rainbow baby though. I am 39 in July and my husband and I decided after the last loss that we would try one more time and then be at peace with whatever happens. I own a family a company with my siblings so work is always super busy for me.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am still in shock to be honest. I only found out yesterday and I am still processing. I haven't reached out to my doctor yet. No major symptoms bar the one that always tells me I am pregnant- sore boobs!
How did you find out? On Mother’s Day I felt waves of nausea but assumed it was something else since my oldest daughter didn’t feel real well. The next day my boobs were really sore which was my first signs with my other two. I started having suspicions and got some tests this morning and right away it was positive and dark. We just had our 2nd loss a month ago so I was really surprised.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have 2 daughters (One is almost 8 and the other is 5) We have a miniature dachshund. My husband and I have been together almost 10 years, married 9 in June. And we close on our first home Thursday! One of my favorite things to do is read.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) First appointment is May 28th. I’ve been experiencing morning sickness off and on, sore breast, and some pulling. Emotionally I’m excited but being cautious. We both are nervous about losing this one.
BFP#1- April 24th. M/c-April 30th. BFP#2-September 11th. EDD: May 25th.
It's a girl!!! (:
Madison arrived on May 19th at 6:35 am (:
Hello everyone!! Due Date based on LMP is January 16
Found out by being a few days late and taking a test
I have a son who is 2, two wiener dogs, just got a new job this week (eek not excited about breaking this news!!), and my spouse- tony. We just bought a house, so lots of changes and craziness happening at once, which I’m really nervous about. We were not expecting to get pregnant anytime soon (should not have trusted my Ovia App lol), but of course, it’s a blessing.
My boobs are sore. I feel tired and have headaches, but I also got sick from my son this past weekend, so I’m not sure if those symptoms are from that. I didn’t get sick with my first at all, so I’m curious to see if I will with this one. Super lucky!!
Nice to meet everyone and ride this out together. Here we go!
Hi knottie! Glad to see you here. It helps if you come up with a unique handle so we can recognize you and get to know you better. I'm pretty sure you need to do it through The Knot, not The Bump.
Introduce yourself: Hi! Excited to be here! I’ve changed my username, but I was part of the April 18 BMB and made the move with them over to fb. That BMB had the most amazing group of women! They helped me so much though those sleepless newborn days especially, so I’m hoping to get that experience again this time around!
Due date? January 17
How did you find out? I had a feeling so I took a test and it was positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a son who recently turned 3. MH is an accountant and I teach third grade.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) feeling great, but also super nervous. I’m finally getting into the routine of having one child and we’re changing it up by throwing another one into the mix! My first appointment is a phone appointment with the nurse June 15. I think that puts me around 9 weeks? And then my first US and appointment with my OB will be around 10-11 weeks. It’s not scheduled yet. The timing wasn’t like this with my first.
How did you find out? Third day my period was late.. took two stick tests. Undeniably positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have one daughter who is 16 months & a spunky 15lb cat. We both work, but I really would like to take a break after my second is born. We love to mountain bike and lift weights.. don't do much else now that we have our one year old. I'm determined to have our second as soon as possible since I'm 38 - not sure I can go through the sleepless nights much older!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Dont have my first appt yet. I was exhausted a week ago- but other than that I feel fine. I'm a little bent out of shape over the due date since I totally did a calculator that I thought would give me a later date.. but oh well! Can't go back now! Our first was born two weeks early- so I'm really hoping this one is born in January still... Dont know why I care so much (I only found out yesterday!- I should just count my blessings). Now that it's real I feel like I need to plan my life! (Gotta do the budget.. what else in the house needs fixing.. am I really going to quit my job this time!? Not sure I have the courage!!)
I was on the Jan 2020 board last time & missed the jump to FB.. looking forward to this group!
@Limes030 Welcome! I feel you on the age thing and sleepless nights - I'll be almost 40 when this kid is born, and the thought of sleepless nights again is less than exciting
Thanks @Lisa3379 💕 I'm wondering if I'll try for a third and I'll be 40 then.. eek. I know people do it, but I'll have to find the extra source of energy!
How did you find out? Home pregnancy test this morning.
Tell us about yourself- My husband and I live near St Louis, MO. I am a wound specialist and he is in the military. We have been married for 5 years. Bringing children into the world has not been an easy task for us. We have a 3 year old Daughter, and our son was stillborn at 34 weeks about 6 months ago. I have also had several first trimester miscarriages.
How are you feeling? I have a call out to my OB to inquire about early checkups, as well as we will be followed by MFM. I have no appointment date yet. I am feeling nervous, very unsure, but so hopeful that this pregnancy will end with bringing home and living child. 🤍🤍 My only symptom right now is tender boobs.
@dani_0921 I did. Hmmmm maybe an app glitch. Just heard back from OB. I’ll have my first ultrasound at 6 weeks! Trying to keep busy and not obsess over all the bad things.
Hi My name is Rachel. Due date is January 19th. I have one DD 5. We have been dealing with secondary infertility for 3 years. Completed IVF - we got a positive after our first FET.
@Knottie1428519564 When i changed mine, I did it through the app. I am mobile. I went to the top right where my profile picture is. Tapped "edit my profile" thanks changed my username
How did you find out? Home test Friday confirmed again this morning even though I am definitely starting to feel symptoms.
Tell us about yourself: this will be baby 4 for us 3rd pregnancy. Feeling like I am Little crazy to go for a fourth 🤣 haven't told my husband yet because he's been away working and I am trying to think of a cute idea to tell him when he comes home.
How are you feeling. anxious all my pregnancies I've had horriable first trimester miscarriage anxiety and I was hoping the third time will be better other than that little nausea no vomiting yet. Boobs are sore and a symptom I never had before is headaches and dizziness drinking plenty of water. I see my Dr in two weeks when I'll be 7 weeks so just gotta stay calm till than.

Very interested in tracking workouts with my fellow fit mamas and stressors with my fellow professional mamas. Also, I'm old! Just turned 37 in March so would love to talk to the gray hairs of the group too! So far feeling good! No symptoms so far *knock wood*
