I've been creeping here for a few days, waiting for posts to start, and then figured why not start it myself.
Looking forward to connecting with other January '22 mom's!
Due date? Based on LMP, Jan 7 (but I've been having short cycles, and my 1st born was 6 weeks early, so I have a strong feeling we'll have a Dec baby.)
How did you find out? I had a funny feeling one Sat morning and decided to test 3 days before my expected period (3w1d) using a WONDFO and surprisingly, it was a faint positive. I took a digital later that day and it was also positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm celebrating my 10th anniversary this June with my DH, Jake. We have 1 son, Ethan, who just turned 6 in March. I'm a little nervous for such a large age gap, but I'm sure they'll still be close. I teach 4th grade. This year I've been teaching exclusively online for those that requested it. It's a ton of work and I'm so ready to go back to the regular classroom! I like to binge watch shows and bake.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm feeling okay. A little queasy, but I don't know if that's nerves, in my head now that I know I'm pregnant, or actual symptoms. I called today and my first appointment isn't until June 8, which feels like a lifetime away. I don't know if my sanity can wait that long for medical confirmation that everything is ok. Having had a spontaneous pre-term birth and being "advanced maternal age" (gosh I hate that term), I'm a little more anxious. But overall very excited!! And also scared because we have gotten very comfortable with our very easy and independent son, lol.
@magalina_h I did the same...hoping someone else would make the first "move" 🤪
Due date? Jan 5 if I go by LMP. Could be earlier since I also have shortish cycles, but I went 3 days over with DD so I'd rather go with a later date.
How did you find out? POAS last week. Had zero symptoms but wanted to test early for a Dr appointment. Got blood drawn yesterday for betas but no results back yet.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have 1 daughter (2.5) and 1 dog (almost 5, but still thinks she's a puppy). I'm a chemical engineer by degree (and so is DH-we met in college). I like to travel (not so much with a toddler 😬)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Remembering how much morning sickness (aka all day sickness) sucks. Started kicking in yesterday (still mild thank goodness) which has me thinking I'm crazy and it's in my head because I'm still not even 4 weeks at this point. I found out at over 5 weeks last time and definitely didn't feel like this at 3 weeks and change. Also been having the 3 am insomnia I know and hated so much last time, so at least I'm consistent.
Looking forward to "meeting" everyone! My BMB from last time (O '18...I've since changed my user name😉) was such a good source of support, and I love that we still have that after we made the move to FB.
@pajamstagrams welcome!! I'm so excited to have someone else besides DH to talk to! We decided that we're going to tell put families on Mother's Day. But no one else knows and have such a hard time keeping secrets. I'm most excited about telling our son, but of course we can't because a)I need to be much further along b)he will tell everyone!
I'm with you on feeling crazy about feeling things when you're not even 4 weeks PG. That's definitely how I feel. I've noticed I definitely feel hungry right away in the morning, whereas normally I don't care about eating breakfast. No major morning sickness...yet, just a little bit of queasiness in the morning. I was terribly nauseated the first 12 weeks of my 1st pregnancy.
@magalina_h I had bad nausea last time. Never really went away, but at least once I hit middle of second tri I started gaining weight. Never threw up though!
Not sure when we're telling family. I imagine my immediate family (parents & siblings) will know soon enough because they've been in our quarantine crew so we see them on the weekends, and it's going to be obvious when I'm not drinking or when I'm not eating any food, or start losing weight lol. Or if DD somehow picks up on me not feeling well and decides to just spout off random things like "mama sick?"
@pajamstagrams we see my in-laws every weekend too. That's why it'll be so hard not to say anything. And I talk to my parents who live out of state multiple times a week.
I'm definitely going to miss my summer moscow mules and Trulys. I literally picked up a multipack of them the day before I tested positive, lol.
I had terrible food aversions last pregnancy and basically lived off of pasta and bagels/cream cheese because I couldn't stomach anything else. I can't remember when that started. So far I've been okay!
Haha! I've totally been lurking for a couple days now, thanks for starting this! Hi @pajamstagrams Also an O18er here, not active on the Facebook group but was there on the BMB the whole way.
Due date? January 5, based on my IVF transfer date of 4/19. Hoping it'll be at the very end of December for insurance reasons, haha.
How did you find out? I told myself I'd wait until my beta, but yeah, couldn't do it. Tested at 11 dpo, got a faint positive. Still peeing on sticks, still getting positives Beta is tomorrow morning.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 39, MH is 40, and I'm a stay at home mom (former high school teacher) in Northern CA. We have two boys, 4 and 2.5, and 2 old Miniature Schnauzers named after soccer teams, haha. What do I like to do... well, since the boys went back to school a couple weeks ago, I like to clean my house! Haven't been able to really do that in a year. I love my Peloton, and am looking forward to getting back on soon when the doctor clears me to do so. I'm also way into politics and I love the Howard Stern Show. I also crochet.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm feeling optimistic! (TW: loss - I have had a couple losses over the past year and and trying to temper that optimism a bit, and that bums me out. My first two pregnancies were a breeze and I wish I could just breeze through emotionally now, but I don't think that's possible until I'm way far along, fingers crossed.) My boobs hurt, which is meh - my arm and lymph nodes just stopped hurting from my second covid shot and now I'm hurting somewhere else! I'm enjoying my coffee until my aversion kicks in, which has happened in the past 4 pregnancies I've had during the first trimester. Booooo.
@lisa3379 👋👋 hi and welcome! I'm also trying to enjoy my coffee while I can. This morning my first sip was only "okay" and I got worried, but thankfully it got better.
@Lisa3379 Hi and welcome! I'm glad I'm not the only "older" mom . What subject did you used to teach?
I've never been much of a coffee drinker (except for the occasional sugary Starbucks ones), thankfully. I hope you can continue to enjoy yours for a bit longer!
How did you find
out? We’ve been trying for
a while so I was testing early like I always do. Honestly didn’t expect to see
it. I’m still in shock. I haven’t even told MH yet. Lines are still super super
faint.
Tell us about yourself
(Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Hi! I’m LJ, and I’m from the mid-west. MH and
I have been married for 5 years and we have a son who’s 18 months. I work for a
university doing research in nano technology and MH is a lead operator/first
responder/firefighter for a large company. We love to be outside, camping,
hiking, kayaking. We have a camper and are thinking about buying some land to
park it on soon. Then build a cabin in a few years. We also love to travel and
explore new places!
How are you feeling?
(First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) It took us nearly 2 years and infertility
treatment to conceive our son. This time, we’ve been trying since Nov/Dec last
year. We did a few cycles of Letrozole and TI, then I decided I needed to take
a break, mostly for my mental health. And I knew we were ready to move on to
the RE to do another IUI. So this month we were on a break. Not really tracking
like I usually do, but not preventing either. Yesterday we both went for some
required blood work we needed done before we could start the IUI cycle and I
decided to pick up my meds for the IUI too. I got home and that afternoon I
turned a test! I’m so incredibly nervous because the test is such a squinter,
but the line is there. I of course tested again today and the line is MAYBE a
little darker. Not much though so I’m still holding my breath. I didn’t do
anything special to announce my first pregnancy, so I decided I wanted to for
this one. I ordered a cute brother bear shirt that I’ll put my son in and we’ll
see how long it takes MH to notice lol. Should be here on Thursday!
So excited to meet you
all! I was part of the Sept ’19 group and made some incredible bonds with those
ladies. Can’t wait to do the same with you all!

How did you find out? Very early faint positive last Tuesday after experiencing breast soreness for a couple days! We were a bit surprised as we didn't "try" as much as we normally do :-).
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I live in NJ with my husband and our new puppy. I enjoy working out at the gym, cooking, decorating my house and organizing. Unfortunately we experienced two miscarriages last year, but this will hopefully be the double rainbow baby we've been longing for.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Physically just tired and still have breast soreness. I was also extra hungry with early cravings last week. This seems to happen every time. And then naturally just feeling super nervous and will be for a while I think, but trying to stay as optimistic as possible. Going for an early scan at 6 weeks given my history and then another at 8.5 weeks. Congratulations all!
@magalina_h Yeah for old moms! I taught US History and AP Microeconomics predominantly, and a bunch of other stuff. I started the WWII elective class at my old school. Ugh, I miss it so much! I'll get back to it eventually, when all the kids are older. I'm sure you're excited to get back to your classroom! I can't imagine how hard the past year has been. Teachers are such unsung heroes (not to pat my own back in the process but it's true )
@LJMoon6 Yay, you're here too! Congrats on your positive! Isn't that crazy how things work out sometimes? After all that effort, and then boom. It just happens.
@amanda690373 Nice to meet you! I hear you about the nerves after losses. This whole process is such a roller coaster.
@lisa3379 Hey girl! So happy to see you here! Congrats! I
know I kinda just dropped off of TTGP. I just really needed to for my mental
health. I’m trying to kick my caffeine habit until at least the first trimester
is over. Today has been a struggle with my decaf lol.

Due date? According to my tracker. January 7th, 2022
How did you find out? I was projected to get my period and had light spotting which came to a halt, howeve I felt "off".
Tell us about yourself? I have 1 son who will be 5 in June, and am happily married to my best friend. We enjoy staying active and getting outdoors!
How are you feeling? I am feeling excited. Nervous. Overwhelmed. We have been trying for 10 months. And ironically April was the month I took a break from all the tracking. My husband is on shift and works 48 hour shifts. I am surprising him in the morning. I'm so excited to see his reaction!
@BusinessWife Haha! Yeah... while I'm stoked about the test, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that my numbers are good and keep progressing, so there's the optimism but trying to keep it tempered thing.
Hi, Knottie! Glad to see you here. You should give yourself a proper handle, it makes it easier to get to know you. I think you have to do it through your account on The Knot? Maybe someone else has better instructions to do that, haha.
How did you find out? I have been SUPER hungry and decided to take a test... BFP 4 days before my missed period.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm a manager for a coffee shop, and I am in a long distance relationship with my man. He streams for a living.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Nauseous and nervous 😭
How did you find out? I was a day late and my brain was super foggy. Took a test on a whim and honestly expected it to be negative. But it was a super strong positive immediately at 4+1
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m a SAHM to my 3.5 year old son and 1 year old daughter. DH is military but we just got here so we shouldn’t have to move before or right after baby is born. So yay for that! We have a dog, a cat, and I also have 6 chickens and a horse at my mom’s house 😅 I do a little photography on the side and am hoping to build it into an actual business on the side. I also sew. A lot. Lol
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have my first appointment Monday. My anxiety is through the roof. I stepped away from the TTGP boards because I just couldn’t deal and was trying to get my mental health right. TW: loss
I had a early miscarriage at 5 weeks in March. I had previously had one in April 2019 before I got pregnant with my daughter. The first one something felt off from the beginning. The second blindsided me and I still had pregnancy symptoms for weeks after. I thought getting pregnant again would make me feel better but now I’m just utterly terrified that it could all come crashing down at any minute. I had the tiniest spotting when I wiped the day after I tested and I cried in the bathroom because I just knew it was over. But I’ve not had any since. Yet I still can’t convince my brain I might actually be ok
Hello everyone. My name is Ashley. I wasnt on the TTC board. This kinda comes as a surprise. Especially since I am only 4 months postpartum. (Cue panic).
Due Date: According to LMP Jan 7.
How did you find out: I wasnt for sure how my periods were gonna be since I so recently had a baby. Ive only had one since delivery. I was always regular outside of pregnancy. So when I was two days late I thought I'll take one to ease my mind. Really was not expecting ot to be positive.
Tell us about yourself: i am 32 and married.we live in Tennessee. Together we have 6 beautiful children. 3 boys and 3 girls. And 2 dogs. I am a PCT at the hospital. I work the inpatient rehab unit. My husband is currently on unemployment.
I had an apppintmemt in two weeks to have my nexplanon placed. Apparently God has other plans. I have my 1st apppintmemt scheduled for June 2nd.
I'm so excited to be here. My husband and I have been trying for about 2.5 years and got our BFP last Thursday!
Due date? According to LMP, January 8th!
How did you find out? We've been trying, so I was testing at 10DPO. Ended up getting my BFP at 12DPO and am now at 18DPO!
Tell us about yourself - This is our first human baby, but we have two dog-ters at home! My husband is an ER tech at a local hospital and in nursing school. I work in the health office at a high school and am the dance coach here. We're high school sweethearts and have been together for 10.5 years!
How are you feeling? I'm EXHAUSTED! Have definite waves of nausea and just overall exhausted, but so beyond excited. My first appointment is May 27th and honestly it can't come soon enough!
@Knottieb5c7085731bdfb62 I think you have to do it through The Knot's website, not The Bump. It's been a long time since I had to do that, if I'm wrong, someone let me know.
Looking forward to being on this journey with you ladies!
Due date? I am thinking January 14 but my period has been wonky leading up to this!
How did you find out? We've been trying since Fall 2020, and I just had a feeling. I took a test and had the faintest of faint lines, then confirmed with a digital test. DH and I watched it together.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 30 (for another 10 days) and my husband is 32. We live in Queens, NY with our two adorable, spoiled cats. I am a television producer and my husband is a journalist covering theater/Broadway.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Nothing severe so far, but feeling mild cramps/breast sensitivity/not really hungry, and queasy after eating. **TW** My 1st pregnancy was a chemical in March, so I am EXTREMELY nervous and anxious about this. I keep taking it day by day, and I telling myself i am already further along this time than I was last time. My 1st appointment is May 26th and I pray I don't need to see the doctor before then and we get good news! But the anxiety is real, y'all.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner? I’m married with 2 kids ( a boy 7 and a girl about to be 6) and little Pug mutt. I’m a pre-k teacher and I love going out to dinner, hiking, and playing video games with my kids!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) STRESSED. I’m about to be 35 and I know that’s not old but I didn’t want to be starting over and having kids late... but I did want one more. I feel like this is my last chance so I’m just terrified of miscarrying and haven’t enjoyed it this time around! And I can’t get an appointment till I’m 8 weeks and even then it’s over the phone 😫😫 so that’s just stressing me out too! Trying to be excited and positive!
Found out the good old fashioned way...peeing on a stick (more like 5 of them...) Took one test and it was SUPER faint, so I just kept taking one every other day. Now its a dark line!
Feeling pretty lucky since we had only been trying 2 months, and I'm 36. This will be our first and likely only. So far feeing pretty good. Have been exercising and eating all the healthy things. Morning sickness hasn't quiet kicked in yet, but I think its lurking right around the corner. The exhaustion though, that I have. Very grateful to be working from home and able to take a power nap here and there. We're on the fence of when to tell our families, but also want to wait to mention it to anyone until NIPT comes back.

Due date? I am thinking January 14 but my period has been wonky leading up to this!
Baby Girl Due: 1-1-22
Due date? If I’m correct, January 8th!
How did you find out? A pregnancy trot
