I did rIVF so I knew early. EDD is August 6th. POAS 5 days after a frozen embryo transfer but also got official blood test results. My wife had cancer a couple years ago so we froze embryos before she did chemo, and this was our first transfer round with those embryos.
My wife and I have DD (I carried her via IUI), aged 4 and a cat. DW is a college professor and I work in tech. DD has the same donor as the one we're expecting.
Symptoms - Just a crazy sense of smell and my boobs hurt. Started decorating our tree today and I couldn't stand the smell of some ribbon in our Christmas box.
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
@claireloSC yay! Glad to see someone start this board out, and happy to have another IVFer!
Due date? August 1st
How did you find out? MH and I did IVF, and I started testing 4 days after our FET. I've had 2 betas now to confirm rising levels.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) No other children. We've been through several rounds of infertility treatment, and this is my first pregnancy, so this still doesn't feel real.
I am a therapist working in private practice. MH works in tech. We have 4 fur babies who keep us pretty busy right now.
First appointment? I'm followed by my RE until 10 weeks. I have my first ultrasound on the 4th.
Any symptoms? Sore boobs, mild cramps, increased sense of smell, some nausea, mood swings. I'm sure the PIO I'm on isn't helping!
Due date? Not exactly sure, about August 6 as well based on guess on LMP.
How did you find out? Well. I took a test this morning. I've been loosely tracking. TW unplanned-
We've wanted another kid but didn't feel we were ready but have been so-so on how careful we've been. Realized after the fact that maybe that was timed pretty close so made a note of it and it's been a while. My cycles are usually very short and this one not so much so I took a test and it was very faintly positive despite not being FMU. I wanted to test ASAP since I have needed progesterone in the past and had a bottle around just in case this happened.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have a 4 year old daughter. Four Border Collies. I am a nurse and spent most of my career in long term care but since the fall I have been interviewing healthcare workers exposed to COVID and monitoring them, so I get to work from home while I work on my BSN. I show my dogs. I've done conformation, agility, obedience, and rally and there's a ton more I'd like to do. Lately been focusing on herding because that is pretty COVID friendly. My husband is a high school English teacher and we live in MN.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I have not done a thing yet. Right now I am very bloated, maybe a teeny bit nauseous here and there.

@HotSauceSwagBag that's awesome that you do agility! I did it for a little bit with our doberman, but it was more for therapeutic purposes than competition. (He's a rescue and has confidence issues. Agility helped a lot with that). If we ever get another dog, I'll probably try to do it with them on a more serious level.

I love Dobermans! I was very close to switching to them. Agree it helps a lot. I used to have a very very shy Sheltie and she was never great at it but it really helped her confidence!

That's so cool @HotSauceSwagBag! I just watched this border collie agility video earlier today and cried at how cute it was that the puppers jumped to the trainer.
Our border collie mix passed this summer, they are so cute.
@shoogapoff OMG the PIO is the worst. I tried a shot in my leg and couldn't walk for two days. I found this great video about backside shot placement though and since then it's been much better. Excited to have another IVFer too! Congrats on getting your positive. Totally get it not feeling like it's real. DD took 2 AI and 7 IUI and I was mega stressed for most of the pregnancy thinking I wouldn't possibly get a baby at the end of it. I'm excited for you! I have my second beta on Sunday but I'm not really concerned, I'm feeling zen this time. My first ultrasound will be in two weeks but you can't see anything much at that one.
Also want to say my friends from my first BMB are my best friends and we still talk daily, so I'm looking forward to the relationships that will develop here!

@claireloSC I literally cry every time I watch P!nk run lol. They’re amazing.
Agreed, loved my old BMB and looking forward to meeting a new group of moms!

How did you find out? POAS Addict here. Took a few test but my for sure positive test was in a Target Bathroom. 😂😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I have a DS that turned 4 in July. He was an August Due Date but came 4 weeks early. My family includes my hubs, DS (JJ), 2 labs. I am an assistant office manager at a Family Medicine Practice and love it!!
I’m a big crafter and football fan.
First appointment is 12/23.
Only symptom is some slight pressure and majorly sore boobs. Nausea is starting to peak in but nothing 100%.
TW
I had a 3 month miscarriage that started in July and ended in September with a DNC so I’m very paranoid.
34 Mother of 4 year old and 2 Labs. Happily Married to my Hubs of 6 years.
Due date? According to the calculators between August 2nd-4th but my 2 others I have been induced early due to being high risk. So it will probably be July.
How did you find out? A couple of days ago, I started crying when I saw a positive hpt on TV. I have been having weird dreams and I have been so hot while sleeping. Yesterday I had (TMI) bad constipation. Apparently I also have implementation cramps but I thought my period was coming.
So I took the test this morning and was shocked to see the postive. Haven't told my DH yet.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/ppositive.
I have a DD who is 8 and after 4 years of secondary infertility, we finally had our rainbow baby. My DS just turned 2. I am in my 40s and my last pregnancy was hard so we didn't think we were going for a 3rd. However, I recently lost 35 pounds by cutting out carbs and sugar and I guess that was the magic bullet. To be honest, I am freaking out a little.
Just a little bit more about me, I am a teacher. We also have 2 dogs and my husband is in the law enforcement field.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I will be calling the doctor on Monday because I need to get on progesterone. I have had to take it on each pregnancy.
Hi ladies, excited to be here with you all! This is my first time posting so hopefully I don't mess up too bad!
Due date: Aug 6 How did I find out: Had an inkling because I kept waking up in thr middle of the night to pee. Tested 3 days before AF.
We're in Nova Scotia, have a big fluffy 3yo bernedoodle. I'm 31 and SO is 33. Big fans of Netflix. I'm about to finish up a grape growing and wine making program, so I'll be hopefully working in a vineyard up until the due date.
TW
I'll call for an appointment Monday. We had a D&E at 17 weeks this summer, so I expect to be in around 11 or 12 weeks for an ultrasound to check in. Also Rh-! We do fewer tests in Canada than the states and appointments are less frequent.
@TCUFrog08 sorry to hear about your loss. That must have been a rough few months.
Just some anxiety for now, and peeing a lot. I'll expect nausea to start around 7 weeks👎
My due date is Aug. 4 and my husband's birthday is August 5!
I tested a few days before my period and left the test on the counter. Came back hours later and it was positive! Tested a few days later and now it's a clear positive.
My husband and I have a two year old, a dog, and two cats! I'm a production planner and my husband is a mental health therapist.
I am calling on Monday to schedule my apt! Ive waited a few days because I had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago... Hoping everything goes well with this one!
Hey guys!! I was on this forum years ago with my first baby, but started after I entered 2nd trimester. I am so excited to be on this journey every from the very beginning
Due date? EDD is August 6th based on my LMP
How did you find out? I am a POAS addict I started trying last month, tested every day the entire week before my period started. Did the same this go around but got my BFP 9 DPO.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a divorced mama with a 10 year old daughter from my previous marriage. Remarried last month on October 8th. We have 5 cats (I have no idea what we were thinking lol)
First appointment? Any symptoms? I haven't set up my first appointment yet. I am calling the OB/GYN on monday to set one up. I am super anxious though, and cannot wait for my first appointment! Symptoms I have had: slight nausea, mild cramps, mood swings, and I have been pretty tired lately!
I look forward to getting to know you all Congrats to everyone!!
@doodlemom131That makes more sense to me honestly, I had a ton of monitoring last time cause of my cyst and you couldn't see much until week 12's ultrasound anyway! That was my favorite one, baby was the right size to look like a baby but small enough to see her all on the printout.
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
How did you find out? IVF baby. Tested 5 days after transfer. Had official level yesterday. My clinic does second level after 4 days so I go back Tuesday.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a DS who is almost 2.5. We had 3 embryos in total after doing IVF about 3 years ago. We still have one frozen. DH is a manager. I just recently left my job and working on starting my own company. Hopefully lots of exciting things in future.
First appointment? Any symptoms A lot of cramping and bloating so far. Just hoping for the best for us all. Congrats to all of you. I was active here for a long time before my first so hoping to make a lot of new friends.
Welcome, everyone! Im glad this board is getting active!
@safire3 Its great to see another IVFer! Going through IF treatment has already brought up some unique issues for me in pregnancy. I'm trying to stay positive and trust that just because everything has been hard to this point doesn't mean things will stay that way.
@ashkel215 5 cats sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm sure it gets chaotic. I love my fur babies!
@kding I'm sorry to hear about your chemical. I hope you are able to relax with this pregnancy.
Well hi everyone - insomniac checking in here! I’ve been around TB throughout my last two pregnancies and am still super active with a group of my Ap’16 and F’19 moms on another social media platform now, so I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!
Due date?
8/7/21 based on LMP, I think. I had my IUD removed on 10/28 and then had a 4 day (what I assume was) cycle starting on Halloween.
How did you find out?
POAS addict, I got my first BFP at 3w2d with a Wondfo strip and confirmed the next day with a FRER.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m 30. I’m an occupational therapist working in inpatient rehab, primarily with post-stroke/neuro patients. I have a speciality cert in post-stroke care. I also run a small side biz making custom crayons, so I’ve been pretty busy the last month on holiday orders. It’s been helpful since my husband was laid off over the summer due to COVID cuts. Sigh. I’m recently re-married and I have 3 kids 1B/2G (almost 2, 4, and almost 10) from my first marriage and I have 2 bonus boys (6/10) from my husbands first marriage, so this is #6 between the two of us. We don’t have any pets, the kids keep us busy enough, lol. I enjoy trivia/word puzzles, reading, and spending time with my family. I work a lot so I don’t have a ton of time for other hobbies these days outside of late night online shopping and now spending too much time on here probably.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I haven’t called my doc yet but maybe will next week. This is my 5th pregnancy, my youngest was my rainbow, so I don’t expect to be seen anytime soon. I have super fatigue, but I’ve also had to cold quit taking my ADHD medication, which I’m sure contributes to that. Also sore breasts, which is about par for the course for me.
My oldest had COVID and we just got out of lockdown today, thank goodness. We were all getting a bit stir crazy, I think.
Due date? August 8th - but since this will be my third c-section they will schedule me for 39 weeks, so baby will be here closer to August 1st.
How did you find out? This was our 4th month TTC, so I was testing. Got a positive on DPO 10
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I live with my husband, my 5 (soon to be 6) year old son, and my 2 year old daughter. We also have a chocolate lab named Finnegan and a cat named Oliver. I work an office job and have been working from home since March. No plans to go back before April of 2021 as of now! Enjoying the time with my daughter that I feel I missed out on with my son. He went to kindergarten this year so I was happy to be quarantined with them soaking up all that time.
First appointment? Any symptoms? My first ultrasound is Dec 28th. A little nervous to be going by myself.
I have two living children but this is my fifth pregnancy. I had a blighted ovum that we didn't find out about until 8 weeks, and I miscarried at 10. The next time I got pregnant after that I miscarried at 6 weeks. My husband had finished chemotherapy the January before we got pregnant and so we thought maybe we wouldnt be able to have anymore since they told us we'd have to do IVF anyway.. but I then went on to have my daughter. It still makes me nervous to go to the dr between my husband's cancer diagnosis and the two back to back miscarriages I have so much health anxiety. It stinks I have to go alone but I'm trying to stay positive it will be good news.
Excited to be here. This will be our last baby so trying to enjoy it all instead of spending every minute worrying about something!
Hi! I'm Elaine. This little baby is unexpected but we're very excited. It'll be baby #6. I had a miscarriage before so a little nervous. Suddenly this baby is everything. I found out a few days later than with other pregnancies as I was in a bit of denial. We use natural family planning and we tried for over a year to get our daughter. Husband is on TRT which is pretty much male birth control too, so who knows. 🤷♀️ Sent him to the store for a triple pack of FRER and the first one was undeniably positive. Had labs done yesterday and hcg is 1800. Progesterone on the low side so they are supplementing. I had to do this with my daughter and she is here and healthy. Fingers crossed it goes the same way.
We live in Texas on a few acres. We have chickens, a Great Pyrenees, 2 cats and a bearded dragon. Our kids are 18,15,10,8,1. So basically I've been raising babies for 20 years. This is an insane thing to do. Don't try this at home.
If hcg doubles by tomorrow they asked me to make an appointment for 8 weeks. Pretty worried about tomorrow, but I have no control.
Looking forward to getting to know you all. Congratulations everyone!
@mamabirdlonging Welcome! Hoping for the best news for tomorrow! It's hard not to worry about all the bad things that can happen. I get it. Especially following a loss, but each pregnancy is it's own and there is no reason this one won't be healthy and uneventful!
@claireloSC thanks for the good thoughts! Iwasn't offered shots. I actually didn't realize it was an option. They offered suppositories or pills. I did suppositories last time because the pills made me dizzy. They are so expensive though, so I am going to try the pills again first.
@mamabirdlonging I have number envy!! That is a great first number! Mine is only 48.2. I also have a blood draw tomorrow. Got my fingers cross for 100 lol
@mamabirdlonging Not sure if it's just an IVF thing, they offered me the suppositories/pills as well and I said no and I just do the shot every day. It is expensive though, it's like $250 a month or something like that.

Hello everyone, I am posting here tentatively because my last one was ectopic. Hopefully this one sticks though...
I'm amused by my positive test because my husband and I literally have an appointment with a specialist for infertility next week (we had tried for 12 months and no luck) and this morning I got a positive test.... Lol. Such is life, right?
If this one pans out, I'll be due August 9th. I have none of the symptoms I had with my ectopic so fingers crossed!
As for me, I'm a teacher (which means August is the worst month to be due in, right before school starts!) And have a dog that we love and is too smart for her own good.
Got my HCG done today and I'll get it again on Friday so here's hoping! Also, I'm starting to feal a bit queazy but it's unclear if that isy anxiety or the pregnancy lol!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) H and I have two kids (almost 4 and almost 2) and a dog. I work in an independent school as the assistant to the headmaster, teaching one class and (currently) as the all around covid guru. I’m in daily communication with the local health department, manage cases and set quarantines.
First appointment? Any symptoms? First appt will be 1/5. I may push to come in earlier - TW I had a 10 week MMC that resulted in two d&cs and an ER visit over the course of 4 months. So I’m really anxious and don’t think I’ll feel better until I get past 10 weeks.
