AFM. I decided to have my embryos shipped back to San Diego and just continue on here with my transfers. It will likely cost just about the same if not less and the fee to move them is somewhere between $500 and $750. My doctor here is all about it and im happy to once again use my RE who did my initial ERA and knows me and my history. I just feel like its the right move. Both sides know my intent, tomorrow is about making those moves happen. Im hoping my hcg is 0 tomorrow so if I get my embryos back here, I could possibly go ahead with a transfer before the holidays.

claireloSC - Welcome! The board according to its name is for low amh/poor responding ladies. Several of us were on here when TTC #1 in 2017/2018 and now we're back for #2. Others are here trying for #1. Some are using OE, some are using DE, some (like me) had a successful transfer but have stuck around to cheer the other ladies on. So there's a wide variety of us here but bottom line we all have been through hell to get to this point and are very supportive and welcoming, and we root for one another in good times and in bad.
Awwwww @c-town18 I love how you described our group! And I so agree. Getting my labs drawn this morning so we will see! Thanks @lrynwnab Welcome @claireloSC.

@claireloSC Hi and Welcome! I can imagine this thread being super overwhelming because it's years long. I actually didn't use it my first go around a few years ago because it is a beast BUT this is a great group. If you have questions about treatment options after a low AMH dx this is the place to be. Lots of different perspective.
AFM: all is well and I'll go to my first visit with my OB next Tuesday. I'm very much looking forward to hearing a hb since it will be a couple of weeks since my last ultrasound. Saturday is my last day of meds and tomorrow is my last PIO shot. I've been on meds for over a year so I'm pumped.
Happy Thanksgiving my ladies. I'm so thankful to have this incredible support system in what has been a very challenging journey. xo

@laurad75 How exciting that you will be graduating to the OB soon and to be off the meds! How are you feeling these days? @andreamm31 Hope the results showed it drop to 0 today and hoping you can get started on your next cycle. I think having the embies shipped close to home is a good option for you to chose. @c-town18 That was so well said about the group I do not even know how I would be managing without having you all to chat with and experience both the ups and downs.
Thanks gals! Yeah, RTT basically turn into support threads too. I used to lurk this board when I tried for my first but never participated until I actually got a BFP and joined my BMB so I’m more familiar with those. Glad you gals have each other for support and questions. I had a lot of trouble conceiving my first because as a lesbian couple we used a sperm bank and the nurses there were NO help in conceiving, we had to figure out the timing best we could and arrange IUI on a their schedule. Finally after months of no success we switched to another bank and got a real doctor not associated with the bank who was much more helpful. It was a lot of money though. Now doing rIVF with my wife’s eggs and same donor as our daughter was conceived with as my wife had cancer and did a retrieval before chemo and now can’t carry, is in induced menopause in fact. So IVF so far has seemed easier, although PIO sucks. Anyway, nice to meet you all and wishing you all luck in your cycles this month!

@claireloSC Oh that sounds so frustrating to not have the medical support from the donor bank. I’m glad you found a doctor to work with! I’m so sorry about your wife’s cancer diagnosis and hope she is doing well now although induced menopause sounds unpleasant.
So where are you in your cycle. If your doing PIO (I agree, PIO stinks), are you getting ready for another transfer? Did you carry your daughter or did your wife?

Thank you @Hopeful_mom. I hope you are well! I have lurked on this board on and off for years. Not as good about posting but I definitely remember you from before! Sorry if that’s creepy!
AFM
at 3dp5dt i have felt a few symptoms; I thought I felt a twinge like implantation the night of the transfer, then had some very light spotting the day after the transfer. I have had some nausea but that’s been the case since I started taking estrogen. I’m kind of just reporting the symptoms now as sometimes it’s interesting to see what symptoms people have, then what their result is, to compare it to your own situation. I just went back and read several of the month FET threads for this reason.
Also, I’m having some sort of allergic reaction to the PIO at multiple injection sites— having done this dance many times and never having that happen before I found kind of strange. Annoying ... I don’t ice or anything, just jam it in
@Hopeful_mom Thank you so much and it was sooooooooo nice to hear from you? How are you and how have things been? Glad they fixed the glitch and you had time to catch up with the group. @lrynwnab Some good signs, do you know when you will test and if you will test early? I do not ice before the PIO and it hasn't been too bad for me, but definitely feeling the sting a bit more this week.
Happy Thanksgiving! @Imajin99 what is the tsh for? Hope the third beta gives you peace of mind. I'm anxiously awaiting my docs call with the results though I'm sure it's fine on the rational side of my brain.
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
lrynwnab - Good luck to you! Re PIO reaction: I would always warm up the a little PIO first to make it less viscous by wrapping a warm washcloth around it. I always iced my skin just a little before, then had a warm wet warm washcloth ready to go and would massage the area with it right after the shot and that seemed to help a lot with the PIO. Although if it's an allergic reaction I don't know if this will make much of a difference. *TW* I know you already know this, but try to not read too much into symptoms b/c the progesterone can cause the same ones (it's impossible not to, I know). With that said, I've always felt a brief but persistent twinge a couple days after my successful transfers as well as very light cramping. I assume the twinges were implantation but maybe it was just the PIO messing with me. *End TW*
Hi friends! Happy thanksgiving for those in the U.S.! So good to see some old familiar faces come visit the board in the last week...@Hopeful_mom hi! Thanks for cheering us on! Lol, I was the one eating Twix but apparently those days are over because I failed my first gestational diabetes screening boo...I was so upset. I got the call literally in between rolling out pie dough and making cinnamon rolls *eye roll* I'll have to go back for another screening to see if I really have it, because I only failed by a couple of points. But it literally sent me into downward spiral for a bit...lots of "I'm failing the baby!" tears...but now back on the upswing, trying to do more short walks during the day and eat more protein.
@andreamm31 Said this before, but I'm glad you have a plan that feels right to you. So important in IF treatment! Hope your last beta pull was 0 or close to it and that you were able to indulge during Thanksgiving. Sending you lots of hugs
@lrynwnab Crossing my fingers for you too! Also, I had allergic skin reactions to PIO as well. I think the default oil carrier is sesame and peanut (which is dumb b/c hello peanut allergies are so dangerous!) so I ended up getting a different formulation, I think with linseed oil. TBH, I get skin reactions from both estrogen and progesterone and the new formulation def helped, but I still have weird spottiness on my back that started with PIO (even though my PIO shots ended 14 weeks ago). Skin reactions to hormones are fairly common. My skin gets really dry and scaly with estrogen, which is made even worse by the dry Utah winter so I'm a total lizard over here.
@c-town18 Yes, don't worry, I know. I had POAS which I said in another thread but not here so that's why I was hopeful. But I do appreciate it. And yes I'm doing all of the PIO tips and tricks with warming them and massage and all that. Thank you for the support and wishing you guys luck!
Nurse called and I got the official positive. Don't know the exact level, they'd closed by the time I called back.

@claireloSC Great news, did they indicate in the message when your repeat will be? TSH is for thyroid levels, mine has always been borderline and they say with pregnancy it can go up and will have to adjust the medication. @lucyb1954 How you been feeling these days now?
3rd Beta:
Got the results and it is a whopping 3220 which is a very good increase from 679 which was done three days ago. I am 5 weeks 1 day and now I wait 9 days for the first ultrasound.
@Imajin99 Great numbers!! Now for the long wait to u/s...!
@lucyb1954 I also failed the first GD screening by a few points; the nurse I talked to after I calmed down (since I also turned into a sobbing mess of 'I'm failing the baby') said about 2/3 of the patients who fail the first screening go on to pass the second (longer) screening, so since my numbers were so close, not to get too worried. I passed the second screening (which was a PAIN in the butt since I had to sit in my doctor's waiting room for 3 hours).
I hope everyone who celebrates had a good (albeit different) Thanksgiving!

@claireloSC How exciting, thats great news! You are so calm for not knowing the exact number I was always obesessed!!
@Imajin99 Holy numbers that is a perfect rise! Lets FF 9 days can we!
@lucyb1954 I'm sure the 3hr test sucks but hoping you'll be just fine AND you're not failing your baby at all its really just your body needing you to take better care of you! I'm actually amazed you were in the middle of making such tasty treats! *TW I was so sick throughout my pregnancy, I was first able to enjoy chocolate at the end of my 2nd trimester. Probably better for me that was the case! Don't stress especially since it was just a couple of numbers. Keeping fingers crossed for you!
@lrynwnab haha not creepy at all! I had some journey I lived on these boards! Is your reaction bothering you at all? Hoping not. My allergic reaction to the suppositories (the name is escaping me) killed me beyond that I could only use PIO...so crazy how different the meds react for each person. *TW As for the symptoms mine where I thought I could be pregnant was some boob soreness. Sounds good so far! Are you having any other symptoms?

@Hopeful_mom I was so nervous the entire time with DD, I just can't do it again. I made myself sick with worry and it totally ruined pregnancy for me. I'm determined to just enjoy this time this go round since we aren't planning for more. I didn't even tell you guys, with DD I had a complex ovarian cysts and they told me at around 8 weeks I might need a termination. Thank goodness we were able to wait till after birth to deal with it (thought it might be cancer) but that didn't help either.
@lucyb1954 Definitely don't worry about the glucose screening, try to eat healthy for now and you'll probably pass on the 2 or 3 hour since you only failed by a small amount. I failed my 1 hour too! Good luck!
@lrynwnab What kind of allergic reaction? Are you ok?
I wanted to ask you guys also btw if it was normal to get a bleeder/big bruise from PIO. Happened yesterday even though DW pulled back to check for blood and only got bubbles. It hurts like hell.
Oh and @c-town18 I just realized you weren't talking to me lol but still good advice none the less to not read too much into symptoms if you're on PIO!
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
@claireloSC I have been known to bruise from PIO now and then. It depends on where the injection goes in.

@lmajin99@laurad75@lucyb1954 Thanks ladies. Im feeling really good about my decision and I think it has really helped in my grieving process to have a new plan and not feel stressed about flying back to Utah with covid so rampant. I know this is the best decision to get all my embabies in San Diego and continue on here. Should have more information about the process on Monday or Tuesday. Also, Getting my results back is taking forever. I had my blood drawn Wednesday before thanksgiving at 9am, and its now Saturday and no one has released my results. looks like Im waiting till Monday to find out what it was last Wednesday! So annoying! But my hormones now feel pretty balanced and Im thinking I gotta be at zero at this point. At least I hope so!
@Hopeful_mom You are so sweet. Thank you for your kind words and well wishes.
@lucyb1954 I cant believe you were borderline with your diabetes test. hopefully your next one shows all the measures you took will reverse it a bit and get your numbers down.

@Imajin99 lady!!!! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am for you!! I am cautiously over the moon!!! I’m counting down the days until your ultrasound! I’m sure you are too:)
@JamieH2000 sorry for the delay in response, I did the Lupron before my OE pgs normal last embryo transfer and for me that did not make a difference. BUT I got that crazy miracle pregnancy the month directly after that failed FET! So maybe it did help me?! Pretty sure the miscarriage was due to
Chromosomal issues.
@claireloSC hello and welcome! Congrats on the positive!! I’m sorry about the PIO bruise. I had something similar happen once, not sure what exactly went wrong but just check with your doctor if you are going in for bloods anyway.
@lrynwnab I’m so sorry you are having a reaction. Is this a new prescription of PIO? If so I would def check what carrier oil they are using in it like LucyB said. I wonder if this one is different from what you have used in the past? My body likes to react to all sorts of stuff with often no rhyme or reason which is V annoying. Crossing everything for you!!!
@lucyb1954 oh girl! What terrible timing for those results. The holiday season is hard to try and cut back on stuff too! I’m glad you are in better spirits about it now, you are def NOT failing baby! But I think that’s a thought that basically continues from now until the rest of their/our lives, lol! I hope the repeat test shows that you don’t actually have GD.
@laurad75 Your update made me so emotional, being able to stop meds after such a long haul is such an amazing feeling. Crossing everything for a strong HB Tuesday!! Sending love!
@andreamm glad your embabies are coming home, it will be nice to be working with your doctor whose been with you through so much. I’m sorry you had to wait on the results of your bloodwork! Why is it always so damn hard?!!!!!
@Hopeful_mom all the tears. No I still can’t believe I get to be a cheerleader. I showed my girl that amazing video of your adorable babe and she was just mesmerized! I don’t let her watch screens unless it’s FaceTime OR when one of my long time infertility ladies sends me videos of their little ones. Then I let this quarantine baby watch their little ones and she adores it. This holiday weekend she was a lucky girl with a few videos to watch!
-Trigger warning-— gushing over DE baby, be warned- -— - I also can’t believe that I get to support so many other women going the donor route as I know it comes with so many heavy emotions and also a lot of obligation for raising these special children. Sierra just decided she couldn’t fall asleep in her crib on her own for her first nap of the day. This is the easiest nap for babies and we’ve worked really hard on it so usually she can do it on her own after practicing her tripod stand (I like to call it her triangle pose) and rocking on her knees a few times. She will just close her eyes and sleep. But she started to cry and was clutching the bars with sleepy eyes, so I crept in and sat on the floor and held her tiny hand through the bars and just quietly shushed her until she fell asleep. How is it that this gets to be my life?!!! All. the. Happy. Tears.
Happy holiday season ladies. To anyone I missed I’m sorry! I’m writing yet another email to the bump people asking if they have any intention of fixing this on Mac computers so I can more easily read updates and respond without scrolling and loosing stuff on my iPhone :-/. Cuz like some of you have pointed out, it’s a total beast of a thread, lolololololol. But I LOVE IT! Xoxo
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
@claireloSC@mbradfo2 Thank you, those are such heartening thoughts! The test failure has spurred me to walk a lot more even if I still feel like crap from the nausea. I also froze the leftover pie in small squares so I can take it out in small amounts, although honestly the biggest ingredient in the pie is butter I did tell my boyfriend that I just might pass the second screening and he was like, okay, just don't set yourself up for another meltdown! I honestly just didn't think I would have an issue with GD...my sister did, however she was very obese and unhealthy whilst pregnant and I'm def more healthy with a normal BMI and thought I would be okay. There's probs a genetic component too...Honestly we really hit the genetic shit pool with depression/anxiety, Fragile X mutation, MTHFR, etc!
Also @claireloSC Congrats on the new beta!!! Excited for you! Also, I def got lumps, bruises, and bleeders. My coordinator said it was all normal and fine and nothing to worry about. My boyfriend was always super careful about the shots because they made him so nervous, I think it just happens esp after doing them daily for awhile, your body just gets tired of them.
@andreamm31 For sure I think you made the right decision! Cases are totally skyrocketing in Utah because stupid people won't wear masks or social distance and I think both mentally and physically this is good for you. Seriously we get anti-mask groups who gather and descend on grocery stores en masse to protest the statewide mask mandate. I can't even begin to understand this!
@hopefuljj I honestly couldn't have even gotten through this process without having people like you around, esp going through it at about the same time as I was. Without having someone to reassure you that yes, this is something people do, and yes, it's going to be okay even though it involves some hard emotions, it just would have been lonely and so much harder. I already felt cursed by IF and it would have been that much worse. The DE IVF thread that @laurad75 started was awesome too, I love having you and @c-town18 around to help. Also @hopefuljj omg that pic of your doll on IG in the RBG costume...I can't even! Cutest thing I have ever seen!
@Imajin99 Congratulations to you too! Fantastic rise in numbers! I know it's a nerve wracking time, but I continue to be very positive for you and very excited

@andreamm31 I think you made the right decision in having your embryos shipped. How did your blood work go today?
@JamieH2000 How's it going with you? xo
I'm so thankful to have this incredible support system in what has been a very challenging journey. xo

@c-town18 That was so well said about the group I do not even know how I would be managing without having you all to chat with and experience both the ups and downs.

Also, I’m having some sort of allergic reaction to the PIO at multiple injection sites— having done this dance many times and never having that happen before I found kind of strange. Annoying ... I don’t ice or anything, just jam it in
@lrynwnab Some good signs, do you know when you will test and if you will test early? I do not ice before the PIO and it hasn't been too bad for me, but definitely feeling the sting a bit more this week.
@Imajin99 what is the tsh for?
Hope the third beta gives you peace of mind.
I'm anxiously awaiting my docs call with the results though I'm sure it's fine on the rational side of my brain.
@Imajin99 let us know how third beta goes!
@claireloSC Welcome! and GL for your beta!
Nurse called and I got the official positive. Don't know the exact level, they'd closed by the time I called back.
@lucyb1954 How you been feeling these days now?
3rd Beta:
FX for good numbers!
@Imajin99
Great numbers!! Now for the long wait to u/s...!
@lucyb1954
I also failed the first GD screening by a few points; the nurse I talked to after I calmed down (since I also turned into a sobbing mess of 'I'm failing the baby') said about 2/3 of the patients who fail the first screening go on to pass the second (longer) screening, so since my numbers were so close, not to get too worried. I passed the second screening (which was a PAIN in the butt since I had to sit in my doctor's waiting room for 3 hours).
I hope everyone who celebrates had a good (albeit different) Thanksgiving!

"When all is lost then all is found."

@lucyb1954
Definitely don't worry about the glucose screening, try to eat healthy for now and you'll probably pass on the 2 or 3 hour since you only failed by a small amount.

@JamieH2000 sorry for the delay in response, I did the Lupron before my OE pgs normal last embryo transfer and for me that did not make a difference. BUT I got that crazy miracle pregnancy the month directly after that failed FET! So maybe it did help me?! Pretty sure the miscarriage was due to
@lucyb1954 oh girl!

I also can’t believe that I get to support so many other women going the donor route as I know it comes with so many heavy emotions and also a lot of obligation for raising these special children.
Xoxo
Homozygous MTHFR Cr677
DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)
2 iui's to start - BFN
IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
Chemical pregnancy
FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
Also found this cool study on transfers and hCG levels and their indication of predicting miscarriage. Thought this might be helpful to share.
