Due date? April 28 based on LMP. I'm wondering if I ovulated early since I turned a test positive so early.
How’d you find out? My boobs were killing me last week and I thought "oh, it's because my period is starting Tuesday!" And then I realized my period should be starting NEXT Tuesday (as in today) so I took a test the next morning. I was really expecting it to be negative...surprise!
Other children/pets? We have two daughters, ages 6 (July 2014) and 3 (December 2016). We have a golden retriever too.
Job? SAHM, homeschool teacher! (Of course let's decide to homeschool and then get pregnant five seconds later) I was a 4th grade teacher until our first was born.
Things you like to do? bake and crochet. I have a little Etsy store where I sell my crochet projects!
Spouse/partner? My husband of 8 years! He's been on the "no more babies" train for some time so I was little nervous about sharing the news. He was excited though and said he's been thinking about possibly having more children the past few months. Good thing, haha! He's a youth pastor.
First appointment?September 14. My OB does a viability ultrasound which I'm excited about! We lived somewhere different during our first two pregnancies and they didn't do that there.
Any symptoms?insanely sore boobs (like the water in the shower hurts them), random queasiness, extra tired
High risk / concerns? TW I had a miscarriage between our daughters. It rocked me pretty hard. I have some obvious anxiety due to that. Other than that, I'm really hoping not to have gestational diabetes this go round. I did with #2 and that was just not much fun! With my girls I was nauseous 24/7 from the second I found out until end of 1st tri with #1, and until she was born with #2. I haven't been experiencing that this time and I'm trying to not read too hard in to that. My husband keeps reminding me to take it one day at a time. I'm thankful for his encouragement and wisdom!
How'd you find out: We did IVF, so it was pretty easy to find out
Other children/pets? I have a son who is 2 in Nov. One cat and one dog- currently hate the cat because he meows all night and I'm already exhausted from the first tri
Job? Speech therapist
Things you like to do? Be with my family, hike and exercise, travel (back when we could), watch tv.. hard to remember what life was life pre covid times!
Spouse/partner? Been married to my husband for 7 years
First appointment? I had an appt at 6 w 3 day- good heartbeat already! I have another one on the 26th, when I'll be 8.5 weeks..
Any symptoms? Super tired, nauseous, food aversions... the usual fun stuff. I always forget how TIRED you get.. like walking up stairs leaves me breathless..
High risk / concerns? Life concerns about being pregnant in a pandemic, but glad I have you ladies as support!
@kvh22@kadeephd its so good to see you guys here! I was hoping you had moved on!
@cait32 I know how you feel! I keep wanting to test every couple of days to make sure lines are progressing. My husband keeps telling me to just enjoy it and not obsess. Realistically I know there's nothing I can do to prevent anything from happening, but I keep wanting to look for reassurances.
How’d you find out? I felt like I was out for the month, so I just decided to test to get it out of the way. I got a faint-ish positive 11dpo, retested this morning at 13dpo and its now a darker positive on FRER, lighter on the cheapie stick but getting darker.
Other children/pets? No children, no pets
Job? I am a pathology resident
Things you like to do? Cook, bake, read, spin, go for walks outside
Spouse/partner? MH and I have been together for almost 3 years, married for 1 year
First appointment? I don't have one yet. I had an early miscarriage in my last pregnancy, so I told myself if I still have positive on Friday I'll call her to get an appointment.
Any symptoms? I'm exhausted, mild nausea, really sore boobs. No real food aversions, but nothing sounds good.
High risk / concerns? I had a prior early miscarriage in my last pregnancy a year ago. I am so worried that this is going to result in another miscarriage. I'm trying not to stress and to keep myself from testing everyday to see if the lines are getting darker.
How’d you find out? I found out July 25th... My 4 y/o son looked at me and told me that I had a baby in my belly randomly. So, I decided to take a HPT and got a BFP two weeks before my missed period. It was a huge surprise as I was on oral birth control pills. So I initially thought that I was due in March. I think my HCG levels were just higher than usual, because I am only measuring 6w3d per ultrasound done today.
Other children/pets? 2 children, ages 4 and 2, one dog age 9
Job? Psychiatric nurse practitioner
Things you like to do? Running, when I feel good
Spouse/partner? I am currently separated. Got pregnant by current boyfriend.
First appointment? Today, 8/18
Any symptoms? Nausea, vomiting, tender/enlarged breasts, heightened sense of smell
Hi @rexnie So I moved from central to south Florida in June. I'm going back to school. I was considering putting off a job search since covid is so rampant here, and this pregnancy sealed the decision.
Hi! I got through the first page of intros. I'll go through page 2 tomorrow. @kvh22 and @kadeephd glad to see you both here! ETA: @bbrahmbhatt congrats! Happy to see you here too! Late introducing as I was without service all weekend until today.
Due date? 4/2 (7+4)
How’d you find out? Had basically given up for this cycle. Took 2 expired FRER from last pregnancy, both negative. After AF didn't show up, took a cheap test and there was a faint line.
Other children/pets? We have two dogs (10+5) and DS, almost 18 months who still breastfeeds. Happy to see other bfing mom's here.
TW:
I have three angel babies. I lost two at 8 weeks in 11/2011 and 06/2012 missed miscarriages. My other loss was at 20 weeks in 08/2013 due to a clot in the umbilical cord. So even though I have my rainbow a I'm a ball of nerves while pregnant.
Job? SAHM
Things you like to do? Read, watch movies, go for walks.
Spouse/partner? DW, 30. We've been together for 6, married for 4 years. She works at a warehouse
First appointment? I have a phone appt tomorrow and a physical appt on the 27th. No dating scan unless the Dr decides at the appt.
Any symptoms? Nausea all day, first time vomiting this morning. Last pregnancy I had all day vomiting the entire pregnancy... Tired, bloating, and nothing sounds good.
High risk / concerns? I'm high risk due to being born with a heart condition and having so many losses. As far as concerns go, my last pregnancy didn't go how I wanted. Due to the extra medical care, it ended in unnecessary cascade of interventions. Hoping that doesn't happen this time, so I've switched Dr offices.
@bumpadmin please pin this to the top of the board. Also, on mobile, this board still does not show up. Can you please add it? People can only find it via the desktop site.
How’d you find out? I took a HPT as soon as I knew I missed my period and was happy to see a BFP!
Other children/pets? I've a cute little leopard gecko whom I love.
Job? I was a grad student, but I had a career goal change and I'll be reenrolling to school for nursing.
Things you like to do? Biking, going for walks, painting and drawing. But recently, my favorite thing to do is doing dance workout videos from youtube
Spouse/partner? My handsome FI, we've been together for 4 years (engaged 1).
First appointment? Already had it this week!
Any symptoms? Sore boobs, and queasiness if I don't eat in time. Food and smell aversion to scrambled eggs lol. High risk / concerns? TW
I've had 2 missed MC's early on (about 6 and 7 weeks), so this is actually my 3rd pregnancy. I'm hoping for my rainbow baby. In my last 2 pregnancies, my levels weren't good at all, but this time around I have an RE who is awesome and has me on some P4, baby aspirin, and special PNV. Last apt she comforted me by saying my levels are amazing and that I met my milestones for my U/S! The last 2 pregnancies, I had no symptoms, but this one I do, so I'm keeping optimistic and taking things day by day. I'm still nervous and scared, though, but I won't overthink!
Hi everyone! Bumping from my phone for now so please forgive whatever signature I have. 🤣 I will update all that tomorrow.
Due date? April 30.
How’d you find out? We had been trying for the last 6 months and I decided to POAS about 4 days before my expected start day and I was very, very surprised to see a line. I continued to test and continued to get BFPs so I decided to join.
Other children/pets? This will be our fourth child. We have DD1 who is 8, DS who is 6, and DD2 who is 2.5. We also have a sweet cat named Neville Kittybottom.
Job? Surgical RN and currently enrolled in a NP program to become a women’s health nurse practitioner.
Things you like to do? I love to spend time with my family. We have a large extended family so we always have something going on. I also have recently taken up golf, I am terrible but my husband likes it so I’m giving it a try. I like to read the smuttiest, corniest romance novels in my spare time. 😇
Spouse/partner? He is a saint and the best dad! He works about 40 mins from home in a food production plant. We have been together for 9 years, but finally decided to get married at our county courthouse approximately 1 month ago. That kind of sums up our lives right there ha. I am 27 and he is 35.
First appointment? September 21. I am using a new OB this time around and I’m so excited to have her.
Any symptoms? Headaches but that could be due to weaning a medication that I take. It’s deemed safe for pregnancy but I just prefer not to take it while pregnant.
High risk / concerns? Not considered high risk but in my previous 3 pregnancies I developed cholestasis and had to be induced at 38, 37, and 38 weeks respectively. I would absolutely love to be able to go into labor on my own and not have to deal with the insane itching this time around. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
I look forward to sharing this journey with you all! 💕
How’d you find out? Funny story We went through fertility testing and a few IUIs about two years ago. I was told I have poor quality eggs and we would need to do IVF. After a lot of thought, we decided we were happy to be one and done. We would have more time, sleep, money, travel and could focus on DS. Friday night, in the middle of my second glass of wine, I was talking to DH. We have been really sick for two weeks at this point and hadn't had sex the whole time. I told him I was checking the app to see when to expect my period so we made sure to have some fun time before it started. Whelp, I was late which never happens. Immediately took a test and got the shock of our lives.
Other children/pets? DS will be 4 in November. He was a first try honeymoon baby so the infertility came as a big shock. As we were one and done and have been stuck at home, I finally convinced DH to get a puppy earlier this year. She's an almost 7 month old (62 pound!!) English Lab.
Job? Insurance adjuster
Things you like to do? I love to cook, travel, beach time, reading, wine, and Peloton
Spouse/partner? Married for 4 1/2 years
First appointment? Next week
Any symptoms? Tired, insomnia, nausea, vivid dreams, night sweats
High risk / concerns? I am 38 so considered old and risky. Going to talk to my OB next week though as I don't know how or if the low quality egg thing translates into higher risks now that there is a sticky pregnancy.
How’d you find out? I was out of town for work and brought a test with me. I took it on Monday and it was inconclusive as the line showed up after 10mins so I went out and got another test for the next morning. The next one had a second line within about 20secs.
Other children/pets? I have a four year old son, two dogs and a cat.
Job? I’m a nurse case manager for an insurance company.
Things you like to do? Watch Disney movies with my husband and son.
Spouse/partner? Married for 11yrs.
First appointment? I haven’t called my OB/GYN yet.
Any symptoms? Sore boobs
High risk / concerns? I am 37 so I think I’m high risk based on age? **TW I had a miscarriage in March 2020 so I can’t shake the feeling I’m going to start bleeding at any moment end TW**
I recognize some people from TTGP, I participated a little and lurked a lot. I was hesitant to jump in here because I started in the October 2020 group and then had to leave.....
@speach13 yay for another HP fan! Love the kitty name!
@slord33 I know what you mean; I was hesitant to start posting here *TW* I had a miscarriage very early, around 4+3 about a year ago, so I have been afraid of the same thing happening with this pregnancy *END TW* MH and I have been trying for over a year now, so we are very excited, but also extremely nervous. Our due dates are very close, 4/28 for me. How far along are you, if you don't mind me asking?
@Kenneylynn3 we took our 4yr old son to Disney the last week of February right before everything was shut down, he would have been so disappointed if we hadn’t been able to go!
When I was in October 2020 birth month group they had a Disney thread, maybe we should make one!
@slord33 Welcome! I love Disney too! A thread would be fun.
TW I wanted to say that I also had a MC this year in Feb & was hesitant to pop on here already ❤️. I never said anything in the Sept 2020 group, I just left (I had only responded to a few things in general). We’re glad to have you & celebrate our babies together. Praying for healthy pregnancies for all!
Hubby & Me: Born 1993 Married: August 2013 Son: December 2018 Baby in heaven: February 2020, was due Sept
@bbrahmbhatt we’re due date twins and my bump page tells me I’m 4w1d today! That’s based on my last period. I feel like I may have ovulated earlier than I thought I was going to...which is kind of why I’m here, haha 😂
@speach13 best cat name EVER!! *edit to add: & yes HP fans!! @Kenneylynn3@juliebird6@bbrahmbhatt!!! At the beginning of the year I started listening to all the HP audio books for fun (of course have read them all!) & I’m currently on #5 and they are SO good as audio books!
@speach13 oh they're SO good! Especially HP. Read by a (I imagine) little old british man with awesome voices for each character. I usually listen to audiobooks (or podcasts) when I'm folding laundry, vacuuming, solo in the car, etc.
How’d you find out? Period was late, so took dollar store test and looked negative. Period still late 5 days later so took a FRER and definitely positive. Total shock.
Other children/pets? We have three kids, ages 6 (girl), 4 (boy) and 20 months (girl). We have two dogs too.
Job? I work in corporate finance.
Things you like to do? Run and ride my Peloton (hence creative user name)
Spouse/partner? My husband of almost 8 years! He's was very much done despite Never getting his vasectomy, so this has been a huge shock for him.
First appointment? September 16. Ultrasound and dr appt. I should be about 9 weeks.
Any symptoms? Very tired and emotional. I’m not a crier and have cried a few times this week.
High risk / concerns? I am 36 so that will make this a bit different then my other babies.
I was super hesitant to join as this has been such a shock and I’m still coming around to a 4th, but loved my boards from my other babies.I hope y’all will have me! I think excitement will come.
@slord33 I hear you- I have a history of infertility and, even though this baby is an IVF one and I've had a good u/s and have a son from IVF, I still am waiting to tell most of my family until it's farther along just because it feels odd. Here for you if you need to vent in those nervous moments!
How’d you find out? I was 2 days late (usual 25 day cycle). I had been weepy and moody & woke up with horrible chin ache that popped up over night. I was on the last morning of a family beach trip to the Tx coast w/my family of 5 and 5 of my in laws that were visiting from IL.
Other children/pets? DS 14, DD 8.5, DSS 8.5, 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Australian Cattledog named Tex.
Job? Realtor
Things you like to do? Anything relaxing, cooking, trashy reality tv junkie, beachin’, staying up way too late
Spouse/partner? Husband, Brandon. Together for 5 years, married for 8 months today!
First appointment? HCG checked Mon/Wed/Fri this week & first OB appt next Fri, 8/28
Any symptoms? Everything but the kitchen sink. =\ So much bloat, tugging, stretching, minor cramps, chin acne, increased discharge, bouts of nausea, boobs are starting to get sore, so much hunger!
High risk / concerns? I am coming from the Dec 2020 group, as I had a MC on May 4th, at 7 weeks. It was my first MC and I’m definitely traumatized after going through it. Praying this precious babe is going to make it full term!
@pelorunningmama my leaderboard name is cward0112 if you want to follow each other! I'm interested to know what other pregnant peloton people are doing for classes. I was really into power zones, but scaled back a lot to mostly low impact because my normal rides were making me cramp!
I am super into Powerzone too! I am actually starting the new challenge with it today but let my team know I may be dead weight since I anticipate feeling terrible pretty soon.
Due date? Somewhere around April 29-May 3? Will be requesting an ultrasound, but all my babies are 37 weekers so should be an April baby.
How’d you find out? Was planning to test this upcoming week, but stood up quickly and got the unmistakable round ligament pain so thought why not?! Sure enough, it was positive!
Other children/pets? Three boys ages 4, 2.5, and 13 months and one kitty
Job? SAHM
Things you like to do? read and crafting when I get a chance... come up with crazy projects/ideas for DH
Spouse/partner? DH and I have been married for 7 years!
First appointment? Haven't called my provider yet
Any symptoms? round ligament pain (seems early but it's for sure that same feeling), fatigue, congestion (this happens to me with every pregnancy... its not covid)
High risk / concerns? I've had cholestasis of pregnancy with all of my pregnancies so there's a good chance I will have it again which requires early delivery
Will try to keep up around here as I have loved my other boards! I'll probably be the due date caboose and may peek into May too.
How’d you find out? Kept getting negative tests leading up to the day of my expected period. The day after my expected period, I decided to take a test just in case and got a positive test!
Other children/pets? Our golden doodle Scout is more like a child than a pet lol
Job? Criminal Defense Attorney
Things you like to do? Love reading, riding my Peloton, and traveling
Spouse/partner? Married 2 years in September
First appointment? September 8
Any symptoms? I am SO TIRED! Maybe a little morning sickness but I can't really tell if it's psychosomatic because I want to make sure I'm feeling something so that everything is ok...
High risk / concerns? No risks that I know of. I've been an anxious mess since I found out because my best friend had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and it was naturally incredibly difficult for her. Now I'm hyper aware and terrified at every twinge. Trying to remain positive, but am anxiously awaiting good news from a doctor to solidify that everything is progressing as planned.
