Hi ladies! It looks like I'm the first one here. Let's use this thread to get to know each other

. Feel free to add / remove bullet points. I just took ideas from other boards.

Due date? April 16, 5 weeks today.

How’d you find out? After enjoying some treats and watching Star Wars with hubby, I took an early test before hopping into bed. The line was so faint that time & I was driving hubby crazy trying to get him to tell me if he saw it too! Aha!!

Other children/pets? I have a son, almost 20 months old. TW: I also have an angel baby that was due this September, whom I lost in February with a missed miscarriage.

Job? SAHM, I was a teacher for a year before having my son.

Things you like to do? Spend time with my son, niece & nephew, talk to friends, boating, swimming, biking as a family, doing HIIT hop workouts is a new exercise favourite of mine. I'm not as fit as I'm making myself sound - oops lol. Movies & sit coms!

Spouse/partner? Hubby owns an electronics recycling company. We've been together since high school, almost 11 years, and married 7 years. We're both 27.

First appointment? September 9. I had my first round of blood work today though. I will be doing this every three days to check my HCG levels. Due to my loss, my doctor just wants to cover all the bases this go round.

Any symptoms? Not much. I didn't even know I was pregnant with my first until almost 8 weeks though, with symptoms starting around 6 weeks. I think I am slightly fatigued - but that's also part of toddler mom life lol. Probably Mommy brain a bit.

High risk / concerns? We're cautiously optimistic due to our experience last time. My doctor has prescribed prometrium for me, more as a preventative measure.

Can't wait to "meet" you all.

Due date? 4/22 (4+1)

How’d you find out? Took a cheap test at 10dpo and got a very, very faint positive. Took a few more during the day that got slightly darker. Asked DH to look but he was no use b/c I'd never done that with the previous pregnancies.

Other children/pets? 2 daughters: my first turns 3 in a few days, my second is almost 15 months

Job? Marketing

Things you like to do? Cook, bake, garden, sometimes I get on running kicks but I can also go months without.

Spouse/partner? He has a boring desk job like me (which is a TV tray these past few months, not a desk). We've been together for 15 years, married for 4+.

First appointment? 9/9 @ 7+6 before my OB goes on vacation for a week and a half. By LMP I'll be 8+2 but I tracked my cycle so I know that's 4 days earlier than actual. I already wrote to my OB to make sure that timing for the first scan would pin down due date since a 4 day difference could make a big deal that direction with induction protocol. I went to 40+5 with my second. My due date was 3 weeks different than LMP and we used my chart + scan which lined up perfectly so I'm fairly confident she'll adjust it for this one as well given my history, especially if the scan lines up.

Any symptoms? a bit crampy and tired which is normal for me at this point but at 4 weeks, barely noticeable.

High risk / concerns? I am lucky to have only had small complications with both prior pregnancies/deliveries but nothing that is likely to recur (any more than it was the first time).

You sound like a rock star when it comes to knowing your cycle. I'm curious if my due date will change as my cycles were different by 10 days recently.

My son was a late baby too, I had him at 41 weeks and 2 days aha!

@kelseyyh breastfeeding and postpartum made my cycles super wonky. I never charted until trying to get pregnant and have only done it for 5 cycles total but it's absolutely come in handy.

How’d you find out? I took a test at 9 dpo and got a very faint positive.

Other children/pets? I have one son who is 20 months old and a dog who is 13.

Job? PhD student

Things you like to do? I think I spend most of my time now keeping my kid alive, which I mostly enjoy. I also like to read, garden, and spend time outdoors generally.

Spouse/partner? My husband is a tech guy/teacher at a private school.

First appointment? 9/14

Any symptoms? a bit of nausea and dizziness

High risk / concerns? none yet, though I failed my blood sugar test the first time around so I hope that doesn't happen again.

@kadeephd good to see you here, too! Was it you who was using expired cheap tests starting early? I ended up doing that b/c of whoever in TTGP said that lol. But mine were really old so nothing at 9dpo. I'm impressed you got one that early. I think we both got our positives last Sunday, then.

@kvh22 Yes that was me! I was pretty dubious about getting a bfp at 9 dpo with an expired test, so I went out and bought a frer to confirm. And yes it was on Sunday for me too! I think I must have implantation on the early side because I got a relatively strong positive on 10 dpo last time.

Due date? EST. 4/1

How’d you find out? I took a hpt a couple days after my never late missed period

Other children/pets? No other children or pets

Job? Work from home/server when it’s not covid lol

Things you like to do? I love to read and cook but lately it just feels like I love to sleep

Spouse/partner? I’ve been with my boyfriend for about 5 years now he is a professional poker player and this pregnancy is a first for both of us

First appointment? First appointment is scheduled for 8/24 but I’m debating calling to try and move forward for fear of UTI

Any symptoms? my first symptoms were only fatigue but we had just gotten back into town so I didn’t immediately place it. I had sever gas and bloating and constipation and wayyy too much saliva but now I am 7 weeks and really struggling with constant nausea and dry heaving with no production. It feels horrible but im just trying to remain thankful and positive!

High risk / concerns? This is my first pregnancy so I feel concerned about every little cramp of feeling lmao but I struggle with UTIs and I’m nervous it will present itself differently as I have read and I will miss it.

@grilledcheeezin Sorry you are so sick! I had a UTI with my first during the first tri and I just assumed the constant need to pee was a pregnancy symptom. My OB must have tested for it routinely because she called and told me I had one, and wrote me a script for it. I also get UTIs fairly frequently so I'm surprised I didn't realize that's what it was.

@kadeephd yeah I’m not really feeling the typical “burn” but I am peeing a lot and not seeming to get a really full pee every time and not sure if that’s just pregnancy or what. So I’m still on the fence of moving the appointment or just keeping it as is. Did you get any more throughout the rest of the pregnancy?

Due date? 4/20/21

How’d you find out? Faint positive in the middle of the afternoon first day after missed period. I had just spent an hour sobbing my way through a virtual work thing and knew something was off..

Other children/pets? DD is 3.5, DS will be 2 in a week.

Job? Administrative assistant

Things you like to do? Reading, running, shopping (not doing much shopping these days, sadly)

Spouse/partner? Yep, DH and I have been married 6 years this month

First appointment? 9/8 phone intake, first actual visit isn’t until 10/2 when I’ll be 11 weeks

Any symptoms? Nothing too bad yet. Gassy, peeing more, clumsy, tired, racing heart. Just waiting for the nausea to kick in and my boobs to start hurting.

High risk / concerns? I’m AMA this time around (just turned 35), and also had some complications post CS with my son, but I’m hoping for a relatively smooth pregnancy!

Due date? 4/5- pending see below

How’d you find out? I was taking those cheap Wondfo daily and saw a faint positive around 10DPO

Other children/pets? DD is almost 7 and DS turned 4

Job? Dental Hygienist

Things you like to do? Being outside doing anything, exercising, up for an adventure.

Spouse/partner? DH is a teacher and we have been married for 12 years.

First appointment? I had my first appointment that was an intake at 5.5 weeks.

Any symptoms? Some, but they are very minor. Some nausea, breast tenderness, and peeing all the time.

High risk / concerns? I’m high risk due to having Factor V Leiden, so I take lovenox injections daily. I started spotting last week so I had an ultrasound, and the gestational sac was seen, but nothing else. I was asked if I was 100% sure on my dates, and was told to come back in 1 week to determine viability. I’ve already had 1 M/C back in 2017, so I’m a complete mess over this. I’m praying I ovulated late, so maybe that’s why they can’t see a yolk sac or pole.

Hi everyone!

Due date? 4/26 based on ovulation. 4/24 LMP.

How’d you find out? I felt off 7dpo so I tested two days later. I thought it was a BFN but came back to it later and saw a VVFL. Retested that afternoon and got a faint but clear line within the 3 min window. 4 days of line progression and I’m here!

Other children/pets? One son, turning 2 this month.

Job? hospital SLP - on voluntary unpaid leave because of the pandemic

Things you like to do? Almost everything is on hold for now - travel, wine, dining out, shopping, hosting family (most live across the country). We have been enjoying our pool and mornings at a quiet beach a lot recently!

Spouse/partner? Husband, married 5 years.

First appointment? 9/14 at 8w1d. Feels like a forever wait. Last pregnancy (different state/OB), I found out a bit later and was seen at 5.5 weeks

Any symptoms? All mild - nausea, fatigue, heartburn, dizzy spells, and random 5 am wakeups where I can’t fall back asleep

High risk / concerns? Yes, my pregnancies are high risk for a medical condition and my babies are immunosuppressed for 6 mo after birth

April 24th

How’d you find out?
I had some weird cramping and felt off so I tested a few days before my missed period while my husband was out shopping, even though he told me not to test so early. When he came back I said, "Yep, I'm pregnant." He shook his head, rolled his eyes, and hugged me. Ha!

Other children/pets?
I have an 8 year old daughter, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 chickens.

Job?
I blog and work as a Pampered Chef consultant.

Things you like to do?
I love writing, cooking, playing video and board games.

Spouse/partner?
I've been married for over 9 years, been together for 12. He's a craft beer salesman, which means I'm probably looking for some fun non-alcoholic beer options for the next 9 months.

First appointment?
I'm scheduling one on Monday, I'm sure they'll want to see me early again after our losses.

Any symptoms?
Lots of nausea, lots of cramping especially on the right side. So tired.

High risk / concerns?
My pregnancy with my 8 year old had a SCH bleed at 9 weeks. My 2nd pregnancy 6 years ago was a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks, baby measured 8 weeks. My 3rd pregnancy was a chemical pregnancy the following cycle. We gave up on having more kids, husband had a vasectomy. We changed our mind at the beginning of this year and he had a vasectomy reversal in June, and we got pregnant our 2nd cycle. We're so nervous about this pregnancy and hoping that it's a very boring pregnancy.

Due date? Tax Day!!! (4/15 for non US)

How’d you find out? My cycles are still a little wonky after giving birth in late January, so I take a test at 4w, 5w, and 6w from my last LMP. I broke the test at 4w1d on a FRER. The control line was almost invisible. So, thinking something wrong with the test, I bought a digital CBE and took it and the stick at the same time. The stick came back positive before the liquid even hit the control line, and the takes 3 min digital popped positive after 45 seconds.

Other children/pets? 24 year old daughter who is living with us waiting for COVID travel restrictions to be lifted. She is a TEFL teacher (English abroad). I have an 8yo son who lives with hsi dad 51% of the time. And, a 7mo son whom I'm still nursing.

Job? I'm an IT Goddess, current title SCCM Admin, but I prefer to do Windows Admin work.

Things you like to do? I read, game, mom a lot, cook, I used to do monthly 5k walks. Efore COVID-19. Just moved to a small town outside our previous city, so we're still learning what we cna do here.

Spouse/partner? He's ironically also an SCCM Admin, ATM. Total coincidence. We are reunited HS sweethearts that met randomly one day when he was a new hire at the company I was an IT Trainer for.

First appointment? N/A. I haven't called yet. I'm... Scared.

Any symptoms? None at first, which worried me. I know symptoms do not equal healthy pregnancy, it still rings true. However, in the last few days, my breasts have started hurting, my sense of smell kicked up, I'm nauseated off and on, and I've become a total female dog. <--- That one is new for me.

High risk / concerns? I'm 43. My last pregnancy was 7 months ago, I'm breastfeeding. I was diagnosed GD and Hypertensive, and anemic. While everything ended up fine, it's safe to say I'll be GD, on BP meds and Baby Aspirin starting at 12w, in addition to age related issues.

I had a loss in Jan 19. With my loss, I had very few symptoms, so with this one being easier, PGAL Brain is setting in. It's hard to remind myself I have NO SYMPTOMS AT ALL with DD, and everything ended up fine.

@thedomesticgeek I also had a subchorionic hematoma at 9 weeks (then some off and on bleeding for a while). Luckily, there's no increased risk of recurrence (unless you have a certain blood condition, I think). I was freaked out and asked my OB at my 6 week postpartum appointment last year.

Due date? April 13 based on LMP

How’d you find out? I woke up and had a bloody nose... i never get bloody noses, except when i was pregnant with my daughter. Took a test and i could barely lay the thing flat before the line showed up.

Other children/pets? Daugher- 20 months

Job? Marketing and Operations manager for a county tourism bureau

Things you like to do? bake, garden, binge watch corny netflix shows, indoor cycling (love my peloton)

Spouse/partner? Husband of three years. He owns a dental practice with his siblings, and does all the IT/ordering for them.

First appointment? Sept 2nd for my ultrasound and Sept 15th for initial doctor visit

Any symptoms? some cramps, a little bit of tiredness, lots of gas

High risk / concerns?I ended up being induced at 35 weeks with my daughter for PreE. I have hypertension normally, and all 6 of my mom's pregnancies ended up with PreE... so i'm trying to mentally prepare myself for it again. I had my PC switch me to labetalol when i had my IUD pulled out in June, so with that and diet and exercise my B/P is pretty well controlled right now. Not going to lie though, birth is terrifying for me.

How’d you find out?
I started remembering my dreams every morning and the dreams were so VIVID! Then I started getting crampy for a few days. So the day after my period was due, I took a pregnancy test and it immediately came up as positive!

Other children/pets?
I have an angel baby that was due 9/9/16 and a DD that was born 10/14/16- she truly is our rainbow baby

Job?
Magistrate- soon to be SAHM

Things you like to do?
read, bake, hike

Spouse/partner? DH is an IT guy, which is why I keep him around since I’m technologically stupid

First appointment?
Haven’t made one. I know I should, but after my first pregnancy I get nervous that I’m tempting fate when I make an appointment after I find out.

Any symptoms?

Peeing all the time, vivid dreams, super dry mouth when I wake up in the morning,slight nausea and as of 2 days ago- sore breasts and dizziness. Most of these are completely different from my previous pregnancy as I really only experienced sore breasts and no other symptoms

High risk / concerns?
not high risk, just general concern that I’m going to experience another miscarriage and the anxiety is terrible. But I’m trying my hardest to just take it a day at a time

Due date? 4/6, 6 weeks and 5 Days

How’d you find out? I woke up nauseous and feeling awful and then I realized my period was two days late!

Other children/pets? DS will be 3 in November!

Job? I am a caregiver for special needs adults.

Things you like to do? Right now I don’t really do anything but work lol! 60-75 hours a week.

Spouse/partner? Ehhhhh. My husband and I are separated because he was TW TW extremely abusive in quite a few ways, I’m honestly not sure how I’m going to keep him out of our lives now.

First appointment? Had a dating scan 8/14, baby was measuring 6weeks 3 days, heart was beating and everything was looking good!

Any symptoms? Fatigue, sore breasts, nauseous, back pain, hip pain, just lots of pain

High risk / concerns? 8th pregnancy, one live birth and I have been bleeding on and off since I found out I was pregnant, almost feel like I’m just waiting for my body to fail me.

Due date? 4/4 7 weeks today!

How’d you find out? I was a raging anger monster for a few days and so so hungry. Those were my first symptoms with my daughter. I was also 5 days late. Finally decided to take a test and it was undeniably positive.

Other children/pets? One daughter who is 16 months. She is literally the best part of my life. Her birthday is also in April so hopefully they won’t land on the same day!

Job? Mostly SAHM. But I’m also in school for nursing and work pretty part time as a doula.

Things you like to do? Read, clean, learn, be outside, box, anything involving relaxation haha

Spouse/partner? DH works for a commercial construction company. He’s the best. We have been married 5 years, but have known each other since high school!

First appointment? Dating scan is on the 26th but I’ve been interviewing midwives all week and still have a few this week as well. My first birth was unmedicated in the hospital but I’m hoping to have a birth center or even home birth this time around.

Any symptoms? All day nausea. So so tired. Pretty sore boobs. Weird dreams. Very easily annoyed. All my symptoms have seemed to start way earlier than last time around so that’s not super exciting. Haha.

High risk / concerns? No concerns really... my last pregnancy and birth were actually really good. I’m hoping to be lucky enough to have a similar experience!

How’d you find out? Took 3rd test after missing period (first was a few days before missing and second was around when it was supposed to start—both negative). Was convinced I wasn’t pregnant but I was having these flutters around my uterus...

How’d you find out?
Welllll got my first period right after weaning our 1yo & was expecting a second period early July. Waited a few days after it was late & then took a really old (expired) test and it was negative (it was a leftover from last baby). Waited a few more days, bought a new test & BFP.

Job?

SAHM (but only super recently - I coincidentally quit my advertising job to stay at home with the kids literally right before all the covid craziness)

Things you like to do?

Aiming to get it set up this week but kind of dragging my feet a little.

Any symptoms?
Just this past weekend I started feeling totally and completely exhausted. Besides that, a tiny bit of nausea. This weekend was my birthday (today!) so it was a bit weird not saying much (aka anything) to family and friends about #4

High risk / concerns?

I miscarried between #2 & #3 at 7/8 weeks so mentally just stressing a little but no real reasons to so trying to stay optimistic.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to jump in. I was pretty active on the boards with my first-born, but I waited a long while to join when I was pregnant with him because I really wanted to feel secure in the second trimester. This time around, I'd really like to enjoy all of the fun pregnancy things more!

Due date? I believe it will be 4/27 (we'll see!)

How’d you find out? Woke up all through the night waiting and waiting to take the test and agonizing over whether or not it was too early, and finally got the positive this weekend after 6 months of trying!

Other children/pets? One son and one big crazy puppy!

Job? Kindergarten teacher (Wish me luck as we return in a week!)

Things you like to do? Hang with my two year old and hubby, dance, eat!

Spouse/partner? Hubby of three years, he's lucky to work from home for a while!

First appointment? September 17th!

Any symptoms? Not really. I didn't have any symptoms with my first either.

High risk / concerns? We had a very stressful first pregnancy and were considered high-risk the entire time, but things kept coming up...high-risk for down syndrome, high-risk for heart abnormalities, and then, during the third trimester, it was discovered that my earlier 10 week bloodwork had irregularities that they should have been monitoring from the start, then we had an emergency C-section to deliver and spent a while in the NICU. I'm really hoping that we have a better experience this time because, in the end, we got a beautiful, healthy, wonderful baby boy and I am determined to have fun, stress less, and get excited for this new baby we tried so hard for. And if anyone needs support through extra genetic testing and anxiety, I'm here to lend a virtual ear!

Due date? 4/3/2021.

How’d you find out? This was my 3rd FET so found out by a good old-fashioned blood test.

Other children/pets? One super energetic DS (16 months) and one equally energetic dog - Charlie is almost 6!

Job? I work in insurance. It's super glamorous!

Things you like to do? Spend time with my friends and family which can be challenging in COVID land. We also have a lake place that we spend quite a bit of time at in the summers!

Spouse/partner? Yep, DH. We've been together for 14 years, married for 11.

First appointment? I have had two beta blood draws and my first ultrasound is tomorrow which will be 7+4.

Any symptoms? Oh yes, I've been really nauseous and the food aversions have kicked in.

High risk / concerns? I have this on my list to ask RE/OB -- I'll be 35 when this babe is born so I am considered high risk because of my age at delivery OR am I not because the eggs used for the embryo are age 33?

Any symptoms? Very tired, a little crampy, occasional sore breasts, and very light nausea

High risk / concerns? None. Had a very uneventful pregnancy last time so am hoping for the same now!

How’d you find out? Took a test before starting my new pack of BC.. 3 days before AF was expected and the BFP was boldddd.

Other children/pets? 21mo old DS, a cat and a dog both 6

Job? Teacher

Things you like to do? Dance, play with DS, go for long walks on trails by our house

Spouse/partner? DH and I have been married for almost 4 years, together over 6

First appointment? Tomorrow, 8/18, is my initial bloodwork and such. First US is 9/16

Any symptoms? The absolute worst morning (read: all day) sickness. Headaches, fatigue, has cramps for days but they seem to be done with.

High risk / concerns? Not that I know of or expect. This pregnancy is already way different that DS, so I’m just along for the ride. ETA: I did have a 4DT with DS and I am terrified of that happening again, but that’s so far away I’m not to stressed about it quite yet.

How’d you find out? I had my IUD removed over 2.5 years ago and was TTC. I took many negative pregnancy tests over that time and finally got sick of it and no longer kept any in the house. I don't have consistant cycles. One night I took off my bra before bed and my boobs hurt so bad. So the next morning I ran to the local store to grab a test and it was positive! We were both very surprised!

Any symptoms? Nausea, exhausted, sore breasts

High risk / concerns? Yes, so many things I am nervous about. First child lost due to NTD, my DS has a genetic blood disorder, my DD is a cystic fibrosis carrier, I am 37 and overweight. Sometimes it feels like too much can go wrong, but trying to remain hopeful.

@jackhazel I'm so sorry to hear about your first child. I honestly feel like even in 90% of "happy, healthy" pregnancies, there's all these little things that are scary along the way. DD1 had a heart murmur that resolved itself (but I couldn't have any caffeine, even chocolate for half of my pregnancy). With DD2 I had significant bleeding due to a subchorionic hematoma and was at serious risk of MC and a 10lb lifting restriction for 3+ months. It's so nice to be on the other side of those things and all turned out fine but scary while they're happening. I feel like I'm coming into this pregnancy with a much more realistic expectation of what to expect but then there's always curve balls. I am also a CF carrier, as are my sister and cousin. I do not believe that either of my daughters are but the only effect it has had on my life was a (scary) 2 weeks when pregnant with DD1 where I found out I was a carrier and had to have DH get tested to find out he wasn't. Our kids all have a 50% chance of also being a carrier. The testing and finding out before you even get pregnant with the next generation is amazing and so helpful to avoid those scares. My sister got tested b/c I was a carrier and basically will need to have a future partner tested before TTC. If he's also a carrier, IVF should be covered by insurance 100% or close to it.

Hi everyone! I'm glad I found the group.

Due date? 4/16

How’d you find out? Took an at home test when I was 2 days late to appease "DH". I've never been so surprised.

Other children/pets? 5 year old, 3 year old, 2 dogs, a cat, and some houseplants, haha.

Job? RN, but not currently working

Things you like to do? Besides spending time with my kids, who take up most my time, I like reading, being outdoors, beach/pool.

Spouse/partner? My husband though we've been separated for about 2.5 months

First appointment? September 1st

Any symptoms? Fatigue, sore breasts, enhanced sense of smell. Luckily that's it so far.

High risk/concerns? I just turned 38 so I'm curious to see how this pregnancy compares to my previous two. My second was pretty seamless but I had pre-e with my first.
