Only been physically sick 1x when I got my BFP, consistent annoying headaches which seem more noticeable in the evening, heightened sense of smell-went for a walk on trash day and needed to head home!I've been super indecisive about food-pulled into 3 fast food places before finally committing, 1 random cry out of nowhere, soreness across my whole body, tired from standing quickly. So far no morning sickness, everything seems more noticeable for me at night!
No sugar or dairy this time around ☹️ Every time I go for ice cream or even milk in my coffee, I’m nauseous not long after. All I want to eat are veggies!
At this point I pretty much have an aversion to everything. Literally the smell of fresh air sent me running to vomit the other day. I'm very thankful my Dr. Appt is coming up in just a couple days! The only thing I've found I can eat at this point is French fries Haha.
Is anyone not feeling nausea? I'm 6+3 and my lack of nausea is giving me so much anxiety. My only symptoms are thirst, a little fatigue (in part from my inability to sleep well due to anxiety), and boob soreness, but even that comes and goes. I am constantly feeling myself up to see whether I am still sore or not. I would give anything for all the symptoms I'm reading about here. No spotting or cramping, so at least there's that.
@goldensunshine19 With my kids pregnancies I had very few symptoms. I constantly worried and wondered why I felt like the only one. This time I am feeling it and I know the symptoms are reassuring but I miss the lack of symptom pregnancy for sure.

Easier said than done, but try not to let yourself overthink it. One night I felt totally fine and stayed up all night because I made myself so anxious thinking something was wrong. It’s normal for symptoms to come and go.
@babymamadimo Yes! I don't think I've ever been emotionally tested quite like this before. It's hard work to not feel unhinged. I have a scan tomorrow (will be 6+4) so we'll get some info.
@pom9207 Thank you for the empathy! It feels good to know someone understands.
We had our US today and everything looks good and on track for about 6+4. I'm so relieved! I still don't have nausea and now even my breast tenderness is coming and going but I'm trying to stay calm, take each day at a time, and focus on the fact that I'm still pregnant.
You guys, I fell asleep during a virtual meeting yesterday. Not like barely nodded off for a minute, like full blown passed out only to wake up 2.5 hours later slumped over my laptop with my headphones still on and the only one still left in the virtual meeting...yikes. I had slept for 12 hours the night before, thrown up all morning while trying to take care of my 18 month old whose school is closed due to a COVID exposure and my DH took his shift watching our DS while I was supposed to be "in a meeting" aka napping apparently.
thank goodness that 1) My camera was off and my mic was on mute and 2) I have the powerpoint slides in my email to catch up on the content on my own. But wow, just. wow. This whole thing (pregnancy + no childcare + working remotely) is really wiping me out.
@KLS123 I literally slept through a two hour faculty meeting last week in exactly the same way. I'm definitely older during this pregnancy, but working with no childcare has to be the clincher in why it feels SO HARD.

Anyone else having heart palpitations with this pregnancy? I get them sometimes in normal life (like maybe once or twice per week for a minute or two), but since getting pregnant I’ve had them almost daily for up to 5 minutes at a time. It feels like my heart is racing, and my Garmin does show an increase in my heartrate of about 30-40 bpm. It’ll happen when I’m just sitting or doing something low-key. Dr. Google says it can be normal in pregnancy, but I’ll definitely check with my ob at my appointment next week.
@hannahbananas11 I have gotten them occasionally this pregnancy and have had it in the past. Definitely let your doc know and let us know what they say!
@birdiejo I’ll definitely keep y’all updated! Hear things make me anxious, especially with the things I’ve heard about covid being hard on the heart. Come to think about it, my anxiety about the palpitations might be making them even worse... sigh.
@hannahbananas11 I have palpitations and a high heart rate at baseline. Both have already worsened being pregnant as pregnancy causes extra work for the circulatory system. I’m not terribly concerned as I’ve had full cardiac work ups in the past and my heart seems to be fine. It’s just annoying bc it is limiting my exercise tolerance.
When I had my IUD removed my OB said she would likely want a repeat echocardiogram once I’m pregnant (last was 10 years ago and normal) due to a medical condition I have, but she has left the practice so I’m seeing someone new for my first prenatal appointment in a few weeks. Will see if they think the echo is needed. Considering my symptoms have already worsened I won’t argue about getting one just to be safe, even though I suspect it will be normal.
Definitely something you should mention to you OB, especially if you have them at baseline and haven’t had them evaluated.
@lena1024 I don’t know but if you find something that works please let me know. I got a probiotic and have been trying to up my dried fruits and water but it’s not fun.
I have also been having improvements with apple juice daily, plus tons of fresh fruit and veggies as snacks. It’s still not great, but better than it was. I also hope to start acupuncture soon, but I’m waiting on the clinic to reopen next week to schedule an appointment.
Breast soreness doesn't even begin to cover how my chest feels. I'm insanely thirsty all the time. Like a gallon and a half a day thirsty. I have no morning sickness. I will have constipation if I don't get enough fiber so I make sure to keep my fiber up.Some spotting but not really. Lately, I frequently feel like I can eat an entire buffet alone, but not sure if that is a symptom or not.
Exhausted. nausea comes and goes. Mild sore breasts. I'm hungry but for something I cant place. Crampy belly area. Is impatient a symptom lol I want this over with asap
For about 5 days I suddenly felt a loss of symptoms but I continue to test & keep getting positives, I got extremely tired out of nowhere and napped for 5 hours today and am pretty nauseous now. Hoping everything is ok😔..suddenly feeling less symptom-y was startling since I feel like I just don't know what's going on in there! This nausea is promising though!! I have 2 weeks go go until my first dr apt😬
@ajbelle It can be such a mind game! I barely slept last night because I was so anxious that symptoms were going away. I have 2 days until my first appt and I cannot wait!
@babymamadimo I totally feel you on the anxiety, I read that symptoms or lack of symptoms really doesn't mean much so I'm trying to relax 😒😆 Hopefully the first dr apts will be reassuring 🤞🤞
@ajbelle I hear you. I have been trying not to worry about my lack of severe symptoms during the entire time I've been pregnant. Focusing on the symptoms I DO have and not the ones that come and go is helpful to me. If you still have nausea and slept for 5 hours those are pretty strong symptoms! But I truly believe that every pregnancy is different and some women just don't experience every classic symptom and that's ok.
@s_montgomery I have RLP earlier this time, too- happens if I’m sitting still, sitting/laying the wrong way, just in general. God forbid I sneeze! My OB said bc I am on progesterone suppositories, it could be bc of that. But I think it’s more so just muscle memory and my body being like, “oh yeah, I remember this when growing a human last time. Enjoy it earlier!”
@lena1024 try taking calm at night. It’s magnesium, I take the powder mixed in water. You want to start low and increase
I’m nauseous all day every day. I’m only 8 weeks and I’m already just exhausted by this. It’s my 3rd pregnancy and I’ve never been nauseous all day (I even wake up in the middle of the night nauseous). I haven’t actually got sick, so I feel weird complaining
@Krysta6 this is my third too and my most nauseous. I haven't thrown up but have come close several times. My doctor had my try taking 50mg B6 3x a day and it helped a little. I ended up getting medication from my doctor because I could hardly function during the day and it has helped a lot.
@Krysta6@jumpy57@birdiejo I was wondering if that was a thing...this is my first pregnancy, and all day every day I feel like I just got off the teacup ride nauseous. I never actually throw up, but smetimes I wish I would because maybe it would make me feel better? Just counting down the weeks in hopes that it goes away here soon!

I mix it into oatmeal and coconut yogurt. It will definitely help move things along without creating gastric distress.
This pregnancy is the same as my last so far; I nap almost daily and have the same sharp cramps on left and right abdomen. Round ligament pain?
I am right on track. 9w1d today. Definitely a singleton. Thanks for asking!
