  • If there aren’t any grads this week, someone else is going to have to make the grad announcement thread next week. I think I’m bad luck
  • @bows22 I sincerely doubt you're bad luck on grad posts! No way, no how!

    @bows22 no way you’re bad luck!
    ETA: But also bows22 - I actually hope you don’t wind up making the grad post next week because you’ve graduated and moved on. FX!!!

    Ugh. This time change. I can deal with losing an hour of Sunday once a year.... but I can’t deal with it being dark as night when I‘m supposed to wake up for work in the morning.

  • @emeraldduchess the Michael Scott gif is just what I needed today!

    So the snow is melting here and we have been anxious to see what vole damage we have. So far the front and sides of our house has none 🙌 just waiting for our backyard hill but it appears the street behind us may have gotten the majority of it this year. Considering we have spent an insane amount of money and time fixing our yard for the past 3 years it is great to get some relief from it. Perhaps our exterminators finally made our yard undesirable.

  • @bows22 I was just thinking that last week. The grad thread has been so quiet! But I in no way think it has anything to do with you though.

    @inthewoods23 Loving that positivity!  <3

    @allthingscozy FX all things are good when the snow is gone. We always have some interesting finds when it happens.
  • @allthingscozy I am glad I could make you smile!

    So Facebook's latest "suggested friends" for me is one of the nurses at my RE's office. I guess we have a mutual acquaintance. 😐
  • @emeraldduchess the perinatal group I went to for scans with my DSs requested to follow me on Instagram like 3 weeks after my latest MC. 😐 I hadn't even been there in 3 years so idk that happened.

    Any other teachers being told to make plans for weeks of online teaching in case of school closed for coronavirus? My district wants to to do 4 weeks of plans in case it comes to that ! 🤯
  • @_orchid_  and @emeraldduchess that is so weird! It seems like a HIPPA violation. As a therapist I could never follow a client, request them as a friend or anything. Even if I stopped seeing them I would not be able to engage with them on a social level for 5+ years.  I run into clients in local town Facebook groups but I don’t comment on their posts and we discuss how I won’t acknowledge in public unless they initiate to protect their privacy. It just seems so weird and inappropriate to me.

    @_orchid_ we are looking into to teletherapy options in case of it but more so since we have such extreme cold and weather issues. We already do a lot of online learning days when the temp is in the extreme - degrees or blizzard. So I imagine our teachers are planning for school closures for the same just in case. We just had 2 confirmed cases but I swear I am so over the fear mongering. We are nearly out of TP and I have been searching for it all weekend!

  • @_orchid_. They closed a school district near us, since one of the teachers was infected.  Not sure what they are planning to do for the rest of the week, but the school is getting aggressively cleaned.
  • @_orchid_ We have! We had an emergency meeting today to figure out what we would do and we will be meeting by grade level the rest of the week to be coming up with plans that have to be finalized by Friday.

  • @mindyb2019 you actually saw a hot firefighter?! I have only seen them in calendars. I feel like the ones I see are like ready to retire and have had one too many desserts.  :D

    @dobiemom11 they closed schools near me too because a teacher was infected. are you in the southern NE area?? although I am sure that its probably happening all over.

    I have a test in school tomorrow and its for the class I am struggling in and i am so paranoid i wont do well. I have been studying like a lunatic, so hopefully it pays off.

  • @abarr723. I am in GA, but I am sure it is everywhere.  Sending you all the good vibes for your test tomorrow!  Deep breath and then dive in!
  • @abarr723 hahaha  😂 too many desserts lol. Your funny. Yes I did, but not just 1 hot firemen. 3 lol. All in the same place. I was shocked. Ya usually you only see them in the calendars. They were all younger too. Like later 20’s/ mid 30’s.
  • @_orchid_ we haven't been asked to do that yet, but we are trying to figure out how to make it work if we do need to close.

    @allthingscozy luckily this nurse didn't try to friend me. It was just really funny to see her name and face pop up!
  • @mvt2003 gotta love the spam of miracle treatments! Also gotta love that they provided NO detail on what was actually done.

    @mvt2003 thankfully I'm already WFH tomorrow! But I want to go home NOW!!

    @bluetickgal not unreasonable at all!!

    @inthewoods23 neither have I! And now I'm terrified I'll need to haha Right?! Someone totally brought it in with them at some point!! But who knows who and who knows how long it's been happening for! Thankfully it's at the other end of the floor that I'm on, in one corner, and I NEVER go down there way anyway....but still!!

  • @kpearse99 Just in case, you should probably take precautions today - I was pretty sure I had some bedbug bites from a hotel I stayed at for work two years ago, so to be safe I brought my bag of clothes into the house and put them directly into the freezer to kill anything off. I would put my purse and any clothes I'm wearing today in the freezer in a plastic bag, shower and hair wash immediately, then wash everything from the freezer tomorrow. Better to be safe than sorry!
