I’m a late joiner! My name is Megan, and my EDD is July 31st.
I found out when, after months of heartache decided not to “try”, my period was two days late. Woke up on a Saturday and took a test that was very clearly positive. Just kinda sat there for a little bit!
I enjoy spending time with family and friends and for my job I am a medical staffing account manager 😃
I have been married to my husband Tom for 5.5 years and we have an almost 4 year old named Evelyn. Also a Great Dane/German Shepard mix names Isla.
I didn’t join until 11 weeks 2 days because of previous losses and still having a hard time with anxiety. But ready to feel excited.
Hello everyone my name is Randi, 31, I am currently pregnant with a baby girl; found out gender by panorama blood test. My EDD is July 16. I am a mom of two boys 8,5 and two step kids 14 boy, 9 girl. I am a paramedic. I am so excited to finally have a baby girl especially since I had an ectopic in May in which I lost my right tube. I was starting to worry it would never happen!
I found out....because I was breastfeeding my baby (currently 9 months). Right around when she was 7 months, my milk supply started dropping drastically, and there was nothing to explain it--I was eating enough, getting enough fluids, keeping up with a pumping schedule (even adding pumping sessions to see if I could increase), hormones balanced...until my mom asked "are you pregnant?" to which I responded "no way! can't be." Sure enough, a couple of days later, the though lingered, and I got not one, but two positive pregnancy tests!
I'm a 4th year PhD in applied economics.
Have been happily married for 5 (going on 6) years and have a 9-month-old daughter (born last April).
Finding out about this new baby was terrifying for me, considering the age of my girl and the fact that I really want to finish my PhD, but I have slowly come to accept it and am even happy about it. I've received nothing but lots of positive support from my family and colleagues. I will say that having them close together like this makes me feel like a veteran mom, since everything (newborn stage, breastfeeding, diapers, etc) is still really fresh on my mind! But of course, there's still plenty to come (toddler years, school, teenagers..) and much to learn
How you found out: period app let me know my cycle was 45 days long or so I took an at home test to confirm.
Hobbies, Job, Etc: I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. I also like yoga and have recently started doing hot yoga, sad to put that on hold for now. I am a Social Worker.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: just me!This pregnancy is a massive surprise for me. Didn’t think being a mom was in the cards for me. Father of the baby, aka baby daddy (is there an abbreviation for that?) and I were not in a committed relationship when I found out. We had decided to go our separate ways a week before. He has a drinking problem, it was time. He is now trying to be sober and show up more. Not sure if that’s what I want? Neither of us are wanting to force a relationship. We both own our own homes. Stay tuned!
Anything you’d like us to know: turning 35 this month. Excited to connect with other moms here, especially those that do not have a DH in the picture.
@firefly5829 welcome! Does sound like a surprising situation, and we’re here to talk through whatever’s on your mind!
I haven’t done hot yoga in a while, but a friend recently invited me and I was sad to say no. Always made me feel so good! First pregnancy I did warm yoga a few times and then got nervous about it and stopped, though in retrospect I think it was totally safe.
Hi, Late joiner and not usually one for message boards but being a FTM thought it could be beneficial.
EDD. JULY 16
Went off BC mid August, had 1 cylce that was 6 weeks long so when i was 2 weeks late the next time didn't think much of it but POAS to make sure.... sure enough. This is mine and my husbands first, we are nervous but excited and the last couple in our group of friends to have a kid so we have lots of experienced support.
I work on a beef farm in Ontario with my dad and ride horses in my spare time, so he will have some time off while I'm KU.
Along with the cattle we have a barn full of goats, pot bellied pigs, 3 horses, a pony, 3 house cats, 2 dogs and a handful of barn cats
Hi everyone! My EDD is July 27th. We did genetic testing and found out we are having a girl. I’m so excited I always had a feeling I’d have a girl first. My mom past away when I was in high school so we have decided to name her after her so I’m so unbelievably happy.
We were not, not trying just trying to keep the stress down due to cyst problems and other issues we didn’t want to add more stress to it. So we were surprised when 7 months later we found out I was pregnant.
I’m a 28 year old hairstylist who lives in Colorado with my husband and 2 dogs. We got married 2 years ago but we celebrated it just 1 year ago. We’ve been together for 10 years so we are feeling ready for our next adventure. We are also remodeling our house so we have lots to get done in the next 6 months. We’ve been doing lot our selves but I’ve been so tired and I can’t lift as much so we are depending more on friends and family to help. Thankfully I have more energy now so hopefully we can get some things done so we can feel more settled in.
Hi everyone! My EDD is July 29 2020. and this is our 1st child! we didn't want to say that we were trying, but we were not also trying. 4 months after we decided to that, I peed on a stick and here we are
I'm a baby lifestyle and textiles designer. I design anything from bedding to toys. I've been in the industry for quite some time now and I'm very excited to decorate our own nursery.
My husband and I have been married for a little bit over a year 12/15/18. Very excited to start our family!
We live in Orange County, we love going to the beach and eating out.
I'm excited to be in this community of fellow moms who are going the same journey as I am
Welcome, @reereetc, glad to have you here! I hope you share your nursery plans with us once you come up with them, sounds like you might have some good ideas 😉
Hello! My EDD is actually August 03, but I've been lurking here as it's nice to hear from people that are the weeks ahead of me rather than being behind! I hope that's okay
No exciting story about finding out.. just took my 5 yo DD to the Frozen 2 opening and swear I could smell EVERYTHING. We weren't actively *not* trying anymore so I took a test when we got home and here we are!
I'm a dietitian, but I promise not to judge anyone on their cravings or food choices!! I've been including gummy bears with just about every meal.
My husband and I got married this summer, August 3 actually. So should be an interesting 1st anniversary. If this pregnancy is anything like DD I'll be celebrating our anniversary swollen and still sober! She was 1 week overdue.
Hi everyone! My name is Amy, and this will be my first baby. I’m due July 20 and got super depressed when my husband pointed out the other day that we have another 5 months until baby arrives, ha. It just seems like I’ve been pregnant forever at this point and I still have SO FAR to go. Just ready to be a mom already I guess.
- How you found out: I was due for my period and when it didn’t arrive like clockwork, I knew something was up. Funny story, we’d been trying for over a year with no luck. I REMEMBER the sexy time where we conceived because I told my husband we shouldn’t try anymore for a while because there was a significant possibility that my husband would be leaving the country for research for 9 months almost immediately after giving birth if we kept trying. He was like “just once more.” Well...it worked, I’m pregnant, and my husband has a 99% chance of leaving for Spain 2 months after I give birth 🤣
- Hobbies, Job, Etc: I am an 8th grade English teacher. I love spending Saturday’s walking around town and popping into our local grocery stores and specialty shops. I love browsing mid century furniture looking for deals, and dream of refinishing furniture even though I have no talent or know how of doing so.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Fur-babies: my husband is obsessed with my growing belly and couldn’t be a better supporter during pregnancy. He makes my life so much easier taking care of the house and dogs while I commute over 1.5 hours (one way) for work. We have 2 pampered and spoiled fur-babies. Slightly worried about how they will react to baby.
- Anything you’d like us to know: I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada and commute to Washington state each day for work. I’m an American living in Vancouver while my husband completes his PhD. I’m slightly worried about the long commute when I enter trimester 3.
Hi! I did this bump board thing when I was pregnant with my daughter nearly 6 years ago! Didn’t like it much then but I have significantly less questions so hopefully I won’t run into the same problems lol.
Hubby and I have been married since 2012 and together for 15 years! (Off and on.) I’m 30 and my little girl turns 6 next month, with this baby girl due on July 2nd.
First pregnancy I was sick anywhere between 1-3 times a day for the whole 9 months plus all of the other typical difficulties that come with pregnancy. Hence the 6 years in between haha. This time around I’m only sick maybe once or twice a week but I am able to eat this time and I’m just sooooo thankful I’m doing so much better, although it’s still not exactly a walk in the park.
My first came nearly a month early, in 5 hours and 3 pushes and was perfectly healthy. I wonder if I will experience something similar in which case this little girl would be a June baby.
Anyway, good luck to you all during your pregnancies, I can’t wait to have another precious daughter to snuggle soon!
@mrs_sheddy I’m fully bracing myself to potentially be very pregnant or giving birth on our 5th anniversary - both my daughters were induced a week late, and my due date (7/27) is 6 days before our anniversary (8/2). Hoping I can at least avoid having them be the same day... but really hoping the baby just comes early or on time for once!
So many fellow July Mamas - wow! Happy to join the community! I'm coming a little late to this party as I've had several early losses in previous years and didn't really dare to believe this adventure really is happening this time. But given I've reached half time without any issues by now, I'm beginning to feel a little more positive and hopeful! My EDD is 11th July but I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, so let's see if that gets adjusted at all. I'm 43 years old and live with my husband and cat in the French countryside. Hobbies currently include eating (I know... ) , sleeping and reading as well as planning baby's arrival. Looking forward to speaking more with many of you over the coming months! Bisous from France x
@chenufa welcome! Glad you're here - last time around I tried to join when I was like 6 months in, and everyone was gone. Totally get waiting a bit to jump in, and happy to hear about your eating hobby!
@Pascal86 I was born on my parents' wedding anniversary and for many years that meant my birthday always took up all the attention and their anniversary almost got completely forgotten about - so I can imagine why you would like to avoid the scenario! Hopefully this time baby can be enticed to come "on time"
Hello to all the new members! Nice to see a few more from Seattle/Washington. Sorry I've been a little MIA since my last post, I kept forgetting and then when I did remember I was away from my computer. That baby brain has been in full effect lately.
EDD is July 27th We just got married in September after 7 years of being together and it just kinda happened. We were trying but not trying at first.
I’m 24 and DH is 27 I work in commercial HVAC taking care of rooftop heating/cooling and refrigeration for manufacturing and also chillers. DH is a operator and does ground stabilization and also works on the equipment when it breaks down.
Our main hobby is off-roading/rock crawling. We have a few trucks that we built/building that we take off road and just have a blast. We also have a lot of other toys that we like to take out sxs/four wheelers and dirt bikes. If we arnt off doing that we are usually working on the trucks or the house. I make plenty of projects around the house it’s not too often that I drag DH into them but we got our house as a sheriff sale and remodeled the whole inside and rearranged some walls. Now the main focus this summer is to get as much down outside before the baby comes. (So much to do yet). We put up a barn so I should get the house garage to myself now (very excited) I’m going to make a mini wood shop in there. Oh and also mountain biking! (I’m not very good at it though!)
We have 4 fur baby’s 2 Australian Shepard’s that I love so much and 2 our door cats that drive me crazy!!!
We will be first time parents we are excited but I’m a huge range of that plus afraid of our lives changing and not having the freedom and extra expenses ect. But I know it will be okay especially when I see her sweet face!
Brand new to this message board stuff - but giving it a try because I'd like to find a community of like-minded mamas-to-be.
- EDD: July 30th (I'm barely making the cut off for July moms ) This will be my first! - How did I find out? I was tracking like a hawk since I had an MC earlier last year, so it wasn't a huge surprise. Grateful for my rainbow. - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I love to cook and I work in video game marketing - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: One very "Ron Swanson-like" husband (shout out to the Parks and Rec fans) and a very quiet chihuahua - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂: I've waited to join a group until I felt like this was going to stick, but I'm finally allowing myself to plan and participate in mom communities. I live in Orange County, CA and would love to connect with other moms in this general vicinity!
Welcome to the newbies! Make sure you check out the post on changing your knottie name. Impossible to get to know you without a unique name. Welcome and hope you find some great support here!
Hi mamas! Excited to follow along with all of you and your lovely littles.
Here are my deets:
- EDD: 28 July (3rd baby, 5th pregnancy) - We found out pretty early as we had been actively trying (using FAM and Ava bracelet for almost six months prior). Took a home test and boom! Didn’t see our midwife for confirmation until 12 weeks though (long story), so feel like it’s going so fast! - I’m military and my husband owns an Italian ice franchise, so we’re both busy busy. My hobbies include working out, cooking, photography, and making our new house a home (bring on the projects)! Hubs is into sports and watching just about anything on tv (avid review reader). - Husband is Joe, kiddos are Nash (9) and Nova (2). No pets right now. - The mamas from my last Bump group got super close and still chat via a private FB group, so really looking forward to all the friendship, advice, and laughter from this group too.
Hi all! I'm a FTM due 7/12/20 with a baby boy! I'm a speech language Pathologist working with elementary and high school aged kids in Oregon. I have 2 fur babies and an amazing hubby who cannot be more excited about our upcoming bundle of joy! I love to hike, swim, sing, and do arts and crafts. Always looking for the next outdoor adventure, although pregnancy has slowed me down a little bit
Hello lovely ladies! I’m new to this board - transferring from a different app’s birth month board because they’re kinda negative over there. It all seems to be family drama etc., and I have enough drama in my own life not that I mind being supportive, but there’s such a thing as too much. Anyways, I’m 32, wife of 9 years and Stay at home mother to a four year old son and two year old daughter with a third unknown on the way, due obviously in July. I’ll find out boy or girl next week hopefully! I don’t have anything else very exciting to add other than I’m looking forward to getting to know you all
Hiii everyone. I’m expecting my love bug on July 21st, 2020. So excited to kiss on their little feet. Looking forward to sharing my love of music with my love bug as well.

Baby daddy abbreviation is BD, it sounds like you're being logical, things will work out however they're meant to.

@mdallam216, glad to have another Oregon lady here!
Where abouts in Oregon are you?
