  • @ramzlau Thanks for the tidbits! When is your IUI?! We're cycle buddies, that's fun!!

    @emeraldduchess yes! I felt so much better after it was over! I felt silly for being so stressed about it lol

    @whitealbum29 thanks girl!!

    Rx: Femara &Trigger with IUI

    3/20/2020- Benched due to COVID-19

  • @inthewoods23 - I guess the endometrial dating was a test developed by a Boston hospital back in the 60's that they still use. They basically just look at the cells of the lining on the day of the biopsy and make sure it all lines up for what it should be on that exact cycle day. My biopsy was done 10 days after starting PIO. It doesn't tell them the receptivity of the lining, or if I need X amount of hours more of progesterone before transfer. Sounds like the ERA test was developed using somewhat of the same mindset, but better (wish we could've got my lining to cooperate and done that as planned).

    @emeraldduchess - My doctor said that Harvard Pilgrim and Blue Cross Blue Shield will almost always count the cancelled IUI as a failed IUI, and my insurance (not one of the above) also counted it.

    @pom9207 - I'm so glad your embryo numbers increased from the initial count!

    @whitealbum29 - Happy to hear that your SO is more on board with the testing!
  • @mvt2003 Fingers crossed for your beta's!!! glad you and DH were able to talk about who you were telling what because that can be very difficult at times if one wants to share more than the other!

    @nitnat007 gotta love cold and flu season eh! I am in the same boat just trying to stay healthy!

  • Diagnosis (if you've been): still in the diagnostic phase

    Status (WTO/TWW/TTA):WTO, positive OPK today

    What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting to hear back from my RE. I think I'm done with all the requisite testing.

    How are things going?: I emailed the nurse on Monday but haven't heard back yet. I'm gonna just call the office tomorrow. Trying not to be an annoying patient but I also want to make sure we're set for next cycle, and if not, then maybe I can at least get started on whatever else has to be done.

    Any questions?: none at the moment

    GTKY: What was the last movie you saw in the theaters? Despicable me 3, lol.  Hoping to change that this weekend! we're either gonna see the Impractical Jokers movie or Fantasy Island. Looking forward to going to a movie theater with recliners! I've only been there once before and H and I felt so fancy then  :D

    @manillabar thank you!! I hope you hear back from your RE soon!! I wouldn’t worry about being annoying...you need to know what’s going on and to be prepare for the next cycle (if that’s even necessary)!
    @nitnat007 thank you! We are pretty good at the EOD, but the every day can get to be a bit much! I can only imagine that if my dad was on social media, he would be the exact same way!! 😒 I like your attitude though, just gotta put out the fires as they happen!

  • @mvt2003 I'm sorry things were more definitive today, I've been thinking of you! Praying for a better result Saturday!

    Thank you everyone for your thoughts! IUI went well yesterday. I did have one question, not sure if anyone has any insight. They said that I could expect diem spotting, which I did a little when wiping after using the bathroom. But also, in the toilet there was a little bit of what looked like it could be tissue (not toilet tissue), idk what to think about that. 😕

  • @abarr723 It's likely that it's just from being probbed during the IUI and from the catheter. It's happened to me a few times too. It's totally normal. <3

  • @mvt2003 Sorry the news wasn't definitive. I am keeping everything crossed for you. A first positive beta is the first step! What was the number?

    @abarr723 Sounds normal!
  • @mvt2003 I will be hoping for the best for you for Saturday

    Thanks @kpearse99 @nitnat007 @bluetickgal! I went ahead and gave them a call and spoke with the nurse. Apparently since I was just started on the meds for my thyroid, they want me to wait for the repeat labs (in 4 weeks  :( ) before starting a treatment cycle. I'm really disappointed, though I know in the grand scheme of things this is not the worst thing to be dealing with. I guess I just got myself too excited. At least it gives me a little more time to lose some more weight before getting started.

    @manillabar That's obnoxious but I get it. Did they tell you ahead of time that that might be a possibility? Seems like that's something they could've given you a heads up about.

  • @looeeze no, they didn't, which is annoying. And honestly, I didn't think to ask either because my TSH wasn't that high so I didn't think it'd be a huge barrier. But I am glad I called today instead of waiting around lol
