@emeraldduchess I'm glad you can move forward with this next cycle now!
AFM - I'm still waiting for mine to appear... I've been off of the progesterone for 6 days now and still no sign of her. She usually shows up 3 or 4 days after stopping the progesterone, so I don't know what her deal is this time around! ugh!

Of my 17 eggs retrieved, 14 were mature, and 9 of those fertilized!
My clinic does not update me beyond this until transfer now. I was told yesterday that if I had 4 or fewer fertilize, then they would do a 3-day transfer, but if I got 5 more more, I do a 5-day transfer on Monday. I am ecstatic!

Ugh this benched situation is starting to annoy me. It's only like 6 weeks more but still feels dumb to be putting any energy or headspace into avoiding something that it really doesn't seem is going to happen for us without help. I was thinking I O'd yesterday or this week, and we HIO last night but used protection. Afterwards I was just like, seriously?? We already know I'm not going to get KU, why are we trying to NOT get KU. The Zika thing seems pretty overly cautious to begin with since there aren't even any current cases where we were, plus....uh, we're not fertile! Plus this morning CM didn't particularly seem like it would if I was around ovulation so don't even know if that was really an issue. Whatever, it's just annoying!
@mvt2003 that's the best news friend!!! What a great update. FX FX for your upcoming transfer, holy crap you could be PUPO by Monday!!! @nitnat007 I was told no baths, hot tubs, swimming, or hot showers for 2 days after the transfer (because it can raise your core body temperature too high and the water can cause an infection), no lifting anything heavy (over 30lbs) for 2 weeks, no strenuous exercise or core work. Not that I exercise in the first place but that all seems a little overkill. MH and I do about 40-60 mins of really light yoga at night before bed that's more just breathing exercises and gentle stretches. I will take a break for the few days after the FET and then resume my normal routine because it's mostly for my sanity than actual exercise. @emeraldduchess maybe YH's silence on the topic is just his way of internalizing his feelings/grief about needing IVF to move on? You know YH better than anyone, but if he's anything like my DH he tends to get quiet when he's reflecting on something painful and difficult and doesn't want to burden me with his own pain. I'm so sorry that seems to be where your path is leading you, but I am so hopeful that you will get your THB!!! @inthewoods23 I'll be on estradiol and progesterone but they're not suppressing ovulation with lupron. When they first explained it to me they said they'd be controlling my hormones with the estrogen/prog and the FET would happen 5-ish days after ovulation, but then when I expressed concern that I may not ovulate on my own suddenly it didn't even matter if I ovulate so I'm confused. I'm trusting their process but I don't like vague answers.

@whitealbum29 agreed on the Zika thing. @b_1029 was in the same situation last year when her DH went to a Zika area and they were benched for a few months. It's such a weird headspace to be in. I hope the 6 weeks go by quickly for you.

@kiki047 Thanks for that info. I guess maybe I should take a bit of time off from the gym post transfer then. Tough to actually schedule that though, so will have to see what happens.
@mvt2003 Whoop Whoop!!! Amazing!! So thrilled for you. Come on Monday!
@whitealbum29 I know right?! The things we do for the men we love.
@emeraldduchess glad AF showed up and you can get going on IUI #2! Fingers crossed this is the one!
@mvt2003 those are great numbers! How exciting!! Monday will be here before you know it!!
@whitealbum29 im sure that it does seem like it's forever. It'll be here before you know it, try to find something to keep yourself busy!
AFM- went for my baseline u/s and bloodwork this morning. Office just called and said everything looks great! I begin letrozole tonight for 5 nights. Also, going for the Sonohystogram tomorrow morning. I'm nervous they'll actually find polyps and I'll have to cancel my cycle.

@abarr723 good luck tomorrow! @mvt2003 omg omg omg!! Such awesome news!!
Guys, what is with my ovaries and uterus ruining holidays? Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve I had to have ultrasounds, MLK weekend I had ultrasound and bloodwork. Now Valentine's Day is CD2. I SAID NO SHENANIGANS IN 2020, ute! Get you act together.
I had my consent signing and some labs yesterday. Infectious disease stuff and what not. They also tested my vitamin D and I am happy to report that it went from 20.6ng/mL (insufficient) to 77.5! Winter has been a bit of a drag, but my efforts to keep my vitamin D up (6000IU and my light therapy lamp) are working!
And I completely missed my opportunity to ask about her thoughts on gluten/dairy sensitivity or intolerance. Oh well. Maybe next time. I might actually contact that dietician I talked to a month ago and get her thoughts.

@inthewoods23 what, that doesn't make sense at all! why would ER be billed under anything else? insurance are so weird... Also glad that your vitamin D level went up
@abarr723 yay glad everything looked great! Hope the sono tomorrow is nbd!
AFM second follicle check today after 5 days of stimming; 6 follicles above 10 on the right and 3 follicles above 10 on the left. Leading follicles are at 14mm. E2 at 1629. They started me on cetrotide today, which gave me rash and burning sensations... but at least the shot itself doesn’t hurt as menopur!

@kpearse99 No! That is disappointing you are still waiting for AF. It happened last cycle for me too after I stopped progesterone instead of just the usual 3 day wait it was like 5-6. Hope she shows up soon, or that you are at least using this extra few days to decompress.
@whitealbum29 Being benched sucks. What helps me is to do things that I normally TTA while doing treatments. Jacuzzis, scuba, horseback riding, long runs, drinking, etc. Hope you find a way to pass the time quickly!
@inthewoods23 Paperwork ✅ Way to go on getting that vitamin D number up, especially in winter!
AFM: Cyst shrank! It is still there, but has reduced enough to get me off the bench! Woohoo! Starting Letrozole and Dexamethasone on Sunday. I can’t remember if I have done dexa before. Anyone have experience with it?
@ramzlau That's great news about the cyst shrinking and that you are unbenched!!!
@pom9207 those are some great numbers so far!! Keep growing little follies!!
AFM - I called my RE this morning about AF still not being here (Not to mention I've gained another 2 lbs in bloat so I'm up like 6 lbs from the start of this cycle and I hate myself!) They brought me in for bloodwork on my way to work to check my estrogen and progesterone levels.... They said it could be a cyst which would make my body keep producing progesterone...ugh. I've never had a cyst, and I may be getting ahead of myself here, but if it is one what does that mean exactly?
The one girl, who usually draws my blood, just got back from maternity leave. It was nice to see her but I can't believe she's back already! Like, time goes so fast when you're TTC. Both of the girls that usually take my blood were pregnant when I started going there last June and they both had their babies and they are both back at work and I am still just trying to get KU. I talked about that a little bit with them, and I cried a lot in front of them. They were super sweet and gave me a hug and said that they completely get it. The one, who's my favorite there, said that she just knows it's going to happen for me, sadly, it's just taking longer than we all hope, but that it doesn't change her mind one bit that it's going to happen. I can't believe I completely broke down but I guess I needed to. Sigh, I'm struggling today, my friends.

@kpearse99 Friend, sending you all the love today. That is so tough to have put in front of you like that. Especially in a place where you want to feel safe. My coworker from head office just told me that she is ku too and will be on maternity leave in July. So hard when it is in your face. I am glad that you were able to talk to them about it and that they were so supportive. And they are right, this will happen for you! For all of us.

@kpearse99 - I'm so sorry you're having a tough time, friend. If it's a cyst I hope they get it taken care of quickly! I'm sorry you broke down with the ladies at the RE, it is SO hard to mark time by other people's pregnancies while TTC. I'm so glad they were sweet to you and I hope it was at least a bit cathartic! Hugs to you!
Thanks friends @whitealbum29 I strangely did feel a little better after confiding in them, but I'm still stuck in this funk and I don't wanna be because it's Valentine's Day and I wanna be all sunshine and rainbows and butterflies! haha I wish I could just go back to bed!

Heard back from the RE - my estrogen is pretty elevated at 473 which tells them that I basically have a cyst. She said I should expect my period in about 2 weeks and that once I get my period the cyst will be gone/resolved. booo-hiss I'm thinking that Clomid was the culprit, as that was the only thing I did differently this cycle and I read that it can increase your risk of getting a cyst.

@emeraldduchess Same here w no emotions at the sight of a bfn. It’s self-preservation, I think... Have the most wonderful relaxing winter break!
@bluetickgal Sorry for the bfn. Hopefully the next steps are the right steps.
@pom9207 Welcome back! So much has happened since we last heard from you—exciting!!
@ramzlau So glad everything seems to be resolving with the cyst situation! And thank you for your supportive words last week. I never got a chance to respond after posting (so lame!!) but I really appreciated you recommending using the benched time to do things we can’t normally do. I drank some mimosas, ate some rich food, and may actually paint my nails with chemicals, hahaha! (I haven’t done my nails with any polish in a whole year.)
@abarr723 Hope all the testing went well this week!
@kiki047 Glad things started moving along. I always think of you as the poster child for a cycle that runs like clockwork. SO so sorry for the fake-out & crushing bfn.♥️
@whitealbum29 Sounds like you’re making headway with all the important initial testing. Glad to hear the waiting is going by faster than you expected.
@inthewoods23 Congrats on the increased Vit D levels!!!🌞 and Hoping the new diet also does the trick for you!
Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, Elevated NK Cells & activity, Blood-clotting disorders, AMA, DOR
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Benched
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Had my uterine MRI this week. Missed the biopsy after ovulation because my cycle started early—the day before the biopsy appointment. 😩
How are things going?: Just going. The MRI didn’t give definitive results thanks to my tilted uterus making the images hard to interpret. So my RE has to consult with the imaging radiologist, then get back to me about next steps. We clearly saw that my uterus is indeed heart-shaped, but my RE isn’t sure if it’s severe enough to warrant surgery. So still waiting for answers. Plus it looks like I might be getting diagnosed with yet another thing on top of that, but now my saga is becoming so drama-filled that I’m feeling like my story sounds like something out of Kels’s playbook🙄 so I will spare you the details until my RE gets back to me next week.
Any questions?: @emmasemm I’m finally going to PM you with some questions!
GTKY: What dessert do you order most often? Roll your eyes now at my goody-two-shoes answer lol: I rarely eat dessert. But when I do I love all things fruit (fresh, sorbet, gelato, on top of cheesecake or shortcake, etc).
@keikilove hi friend!! Good that you went for the MRI and I hope you don’t need the surgery! sorry if this is something you’ve explored, but I randomly read an article about RPL. Have you looked into DQ-alpha matching?
@kpearse99 so nice that the Phlebs were so kind and supportive of you and allowed you to blow off a little steam!
@keikilove I hope you get your results soon! I hate waiting around. And of course it's Friday, so now you won't hear anything til Monday! 😒
AFM: had the sono this morning. My fears were confirmed, and as suspected I do have a polyp. The RE told me to continue with this cycle as planned. However I should plan on having it removed if I don't get pregnant, especially if I must move forward with IVF. I'm stressed about it. What happens if I do end up pregnant, can a polyp increase my risk of miscarriage?! Of course I came up with a bunch of questions after I left the office. And I can't even spend Valentines with DH, we both worked today, and he's working a double so he won't be home til almost 8am. Ugh. 😞

AFM - I'm still waiting for mine to appear... I've been off of the progesterone for 6 days now and still no sign of her. She usually shows up 3 or 4 days after stopping the progesterone, so I don't know what her deal is this time around! ugh!

Edit: add tag
@kpearse99 hope AF comes soon! With the suppositories she'd usually arrive for me within 3 days or so but the PIO it was a week!
@emeraldduchess

@mvt2003 9 fertilized!! That’s awesome

But when I do I love all things fruit (fresh, sorbet, gelato, on top of cheesecake or shortcake, etc).
sorry if this is something you’ve explored, but I randomly read an article about RPL. Have you looked into DQ-alpha matching?

Ugh. 😞

@abarr723 I don’t really have any insight about the polyp, but I’m sending hugs your way! 💜 Can you call/email the RE and get your questions answered on Monday?
