@mandk1233 With DS the comments were rampant and confusing! I’d get “you’re so huge” and “wow you’re so small” in the same day from total strangers. Idk what was wrong with that office culture, but at this office it hasn’t come up at all. When I mention I’m pregnant I’ve gotten a few relieved “I was going to ask but I didn’t want to make assumptions” which is nice. I agree “you look fabulous!” is the only acceptable thing!
Also does anyone else ski or snowboard? I'm sobbing over here as the season ramps up and everyone is talking about which mountain passes they're buying. It's supposed to be my toddler's first year on the mountain. I think we still might drive him up there and I'll knit while he does ski school, but I had purchased him tiny skies and a safety vest and gear already and I was really wanting to get to teach him... My H is an awful skier so it's either private lessons or wait until next year for DS. I'm feeling way too bummed about this today.
@craftywitch I dont do either but just wanted to say I'm sorry you're bummed! My family talked about doing ski lessons when my brother and I were kids. We even went to the local "ski mountain" (as good as you can get in Ohio anyway lol) and basically just sat in the car and had a picnic while watching others ski from the parking lot...it was a weird trip lol
Crazy busy here but we had our repeat AS and they got some great images. The radiologist needs to review the images but I felt great about spine looked. However he is over the 95% and measuring a little more than 2 weeks early!

We're having a surprise baby shower for team prego #1 tomorrow. They didnt give people notice to go in for a group gift so I wanted to do something nice for her. I've heard they're doing the nursery kn woodland creatures/national park sort of theme so I made these! Not too shabby for 3 hours time!
I made the mistake of giving DH access to the registries. Last night we got an unexpected delivery from Amazon. Someone who can't make it to my upcoming shower sent a gift, and got one of the items DH added. 🤣🤣 He was SO thrilled...
I think my weird pregnancy cravings have hit because some of my coworkers were talking about a PB&P sandwich they read about (Peanut Butter & Pickles) and how disgusting that sounds... I think it sounds good! haha
@craftywitch, we ski and it was also going to be DD’s year to try it out and I’m equally sad she won’t get to try it this year. She’s only 2 1/2 so I wasn’t going to attempt ski school for her. I learned (and broke my leg) at 2 1/2!
So a randoms from a few weeks ago popped up today because of a rando, and I saw everyone's adorable clothes they got at target! I have had this psychological barrier about buying baby and clothes, not sure if I feel like it's unfair to Bella which is ridiculous or what. BUT last night my local MOMS group had a kids swap and this really nice mom picked up some sleepers for me, for some reason all my newborn sleepers (handmedowns) have snaps.

@leksiL, we have started to get some stuff for baby and I hope DD isn’t getting jealous. I was thinking of letting her pick out some outfits so she feels a part of it.
@jvk2012 - I've tried to have Bells pick out the outfits the problem is she likes every single outfit without even looking at them. She is very picky about what she wears but doesn't seem to care about what baby wears

Oh my lord. I started an registry per my MIL's request and holy moly I forgot how much I really need for this baby. I am trying to go bare minimum since with my first she had SO. MUCH. STUFF. that things either barely got used, or not at all. But my brain just forgot about all the little things I will need. lol
Wooo busy day with lots of appointments but all great news. First I had my glucose tolerance test, and I passed!! So happy I don’t have to do the 3-hour like I did my last pregnancy.
Then I had an MFM appointment and my placenta still looks good, can’t see any blood clots behind it. And kiddo is measuring 41st percentile at 2lb13oz. The marginal cord insertion appears to have improved slightly, as the cord moved slightly away from the edge since last time.
And finally, I also had my 28-week check up with my midwife and I’m measuring great and his heart rate sounded good.
@daffodil_shoe wow! For having so many things looked at, it's fantastic that everything appears to be well (especially after your really scary experience a few weeks ago!) So glad you got good news today!
@daffodil_shoe, we lived parallel lives today. I had the glucose test (no word yet), regular OB appt, ultrasound to check on marginal cord, SUA, and stomach concerns all with great news.
My parents finally got to feel the baby moving a bit today! It is very into stretching lately so I was showing them that and then the baby wiggled for them. 😊😍
I’ve been trying to read the birth announcement threads and it doesn’t seem like many of the bmb before us are doing that thread. So sad:(. That’s one of my favorite threads to read in months before us.
Anyone else feeling a little anxious about stuff that needs done before babies come? It doesn’t help that I have no idea when that will realistically be!
@Swiftlet +1 on the irrational anxiousness. The last couple days it has been over a lack of sleepers.
I also cried yesterday because I was hungry and tired and nothing we had that was easy sounded appealing. 😂 When I calmed down, my husband told me this is helping him get ready for having a baby in the house. 😂😂😂 Then he made me perogies.
@Swiftlet yes! There is so much around the house that I want to get done before the baby arrives that I just realized I haven’t focused at all at pulling out the baby stuff and looking at what I need for the actual baby 🤦♀️
@Swiftlet yep. Especially since I am not really sure when our house will be done. But there’s always something to be anxious about when waiting on baby.... hang in there!
