Thank you everyone! feeling much better today, keeping busy all weekend. Going to distance myself from the internet for the week to stay sane. Wishing you all a happy and healthy week
Measuring 6 weeks, 4 days yesterday though I think I was actually 6 weeks, 6 days. But good heartbeat at 129 and my progesterone levels rose so I don’t have to go on supplements!
My appointment was actually over a week ago but I’ve been super exhausted and nauseous so I haven’t been on here much. Such an emotional moment for me and husband, I was so anxious to hear that heartbeat! Lots of happy tears! Due date confirmed at June 1st! I’ll be 9 weeks on Monday
It’s tough to navigate the chat through the app. I hope I do this right! This picture is from our first ultrasound. Friday October 25th. Exactly 7 weeks. This is all a first for us, so it was really exciting to see the heart rate, which was 124!
@saladflambe I met a genetic counsellor a few months ago for some cancer stuff and he told me he’d put money on my next pregnancy being twins 🤣. I have a scan next week. Watch this space 😐. Scared. Can not afford twins
I totally asked the tech if there was only one in there, right!? I don't know what I would do with twins! But yea, considering I'm due June 3 and just had my first US last week, there is still looooooottttsss of time left
I'm June 6 and not getting an ultrasound until Nov 18!

Hi all! I had my long-awaited first ultrasound yesterday. Little baby is measuring a week behind at 7.5 weeks (I expected 8.5 weeks based on LMP). Very strong heartbeat, though, at 165. The doc didn't seem worried at all and simply changed the due date. I know it's absolutely possible that I ovulated late since my cycles have never ever been regular, but it was still a little jarring to hear that you're a whole week behind where you expected to be! My next US isn't for another month.
Well I didnt get a picture but had an adventure to the ER this morning for bleeding but had one healthy baby with a good heartbeat measuring right on track at 6+1 and by dates I'm 6+2. We have an appointment with the fertility MD tomorrow so I will get to see it again tomorrow and will get pictures then.
I wasn’t scheduled for my first appointment for another two weeks but I had some brown spotting Sunday and a little pink on Monday. I assumed the worst because I never had any with my daughter. I went in for a blood test Monday, at 5+6, hcg was 42,000 something and progesterone was 17.7. Had an ultrasound today, 6+1 based on LMP, measured at 6+0. Heartbeat of 118. The spotting has stopped and she isn’t concerned about it at all. Still nervous but feeling so much better. Next appointment and ultrasound at 10 weeks (the week of Thanksgiving.) That seems like forever away!!
Dating ultrasound yesterday pushed my due date back to June 20 which was somewhat expected due to irregular periods, but I must say I'm more anxious now that i know I'm 6 weeks instead of 8. Just want to get out of this risky stage. We did find the heartbeat though, 140. 😁

Got another ultrasound Tuesday so they could give me a due date. I was surprised to be measuring right on track since I have been reading that other mommas are not as far along as expected. I am 9 weeks and 2 days as of today. Heart beat was strong, 157 bpm. We have genetic and gender testing at our next appointment Nov 19. Wwe can't wait but we aren't telling people we can find out that soon so we aren't pressured to do a gender reveal 😬
Measuring at 6+1 (lining up exactly when I ovulated) but they’re sticking with 6+5 as that’s the LMP, so June 19 it is. But isn’t the ovulation date more accurate? 🤷🏻♀️
The midwife spent TEN minutes hunting for my uterus and baby with no luck, eventually gave up, and had me move into a room with a better machine and let an OB try. Uterus and baby were found in 10 seconds. Heartbeat of 115. Very scary start to the appointment. There’s more drama with the appointment but I won’t get into it. Bottom line, there’s a beating heart 💗
@booksbarrebaby mine asks me if I know when I ovulated and went off that date (it did match with what I was measuring). But if you know when your ovulated and it was either early or late, I’m surprised they didn’t adjust it. That said 4 days doesn’t make a huge difference when you’re talking 40 weeks and so many people go early or late I would try not to worry about it!
@horsesmeetbaby yep, I'm right there with ya! I rationally know it's probably totally fine given my irregular cycles but it's still jarring to hear the doc say a number that was smaller than expected! I was so happy to be at 8 and half weeks, and then... haha
Had another ultrasound to check on the hematoma, which is still there but getting smaller. Baby is looking great! 9+1 and HB of 167. Was wiggling around quite a bit at first—wouldn’t be surprised if he/she could feel my anxiety (and pounding heart) going into the ultrasound room. HUGE sigh of relief after seeing the little one safe and sound!
P.S. It sure is hard getting a good digital picture of a hard copy ultrasound picture. Why do they make them sooooo shiny?!
I'll add a picture later- First ultrasound was yesterday. Baby's heart beat was 141. So excited to meet this little peanut!
Very blurry but here my little peanut is! ❤️ Because we went through the IUI process, I have another ultrasound on 11/14 before I can be released to my normal OB. Thankfully, I was able to schedule a appointment with the OB for the first week of December.
