Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I’ve been lurking for a bit & hope it’s ok to go ahead and post this! I’ve been waiting a few weeks to join in, so here we go!
Ages (you and SO): 27 & 29 (he’s turning 30 next month)
How many months have you been TTC?: 4
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, working on charting CM & temping. Just ordered a BBT & it’ll be here Tuesday!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): This is our first time TTC. I’ve been waiting for this season of life since I was like 19, so I’m struggling with patience! Haha. We have four pets: Two dogs/two cats. We’re both teachers, and getting back into the swing of the school year. I’m a MS choir director & he’s a JH band director. I’m looking forward to getting to know the people here!
@gingermama29 oh no way! I actually have taught for the last 5 years in elem gen music (pk-5), and this is my first year in middle school choir. Nice to meet you
@singing_koala hello and welcome 👋 well I definitely feel left out of the teachers club here haha 😆 I am not a teacher. That’s cool that your both teachers. Sounds like you have a busy house with 4 pets lol. that’s cool. I only have 1 cat and 1 dog. I’d love more cats though lol. I also struggle with patience like you haha 😆 Feel free to join in on the other daily threads.
@mindyb2019 I’m glad I’m not alone in my lack of patience!! Yes, our 4 pets are very busy & they are the reason we also have a robot vacuum! Thanks for the welcome.
My husband refuses to get a robot vacuum. He must just want to complain about the dog hair! :D. I was a music teacher for two years, too! ...before life brought a career change. 🤷 Now I'm just counting down the days / weeks / months???? Till I can SAH. 🤞🤞
Welcome @singing_koala thanks for jumping right in there!!!
Hi! I’m dumb and started a thread but I’ll intro here!
Ages (you and SO): 32/35
How many months have you been TTC?: not preventing for a few months, but doing a lot of pulling out as we weren’t certain this was the right time. Last month didn’t pull out during fertile window but not KU. This will be the first month really trying.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: nothing too involved just yet. Just trying to get the BD in at the right time, may try more in the future.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): SO and I have been together about 4 years. We’ve been engaged for the past year and a half but I’m awful at planning and don’t want to spend the money on a big wedding so we’ll likely end up eloping. I have an 8 year old daughter from a previous relationship. She’s made a lot of comments about wanting a sibling over the past few years so I hope she’ll be happy if I do get KU. Also hoping she’ll be into helping, lol. SO has two daughters from a previous relationship, they are 16 and 13 and I couldn’t have gotten luckier in that department. As far as hobbies I’d say yoga, I was doing like an hour+ a day but fell off and am now trying to get back into it. I’m sure there’s a lot I’m missing but I’m tired of typing about myself, lol
@BusinessWife lol well I will tell you that our robot vacuum CHANGED our LIVES. I can never go back!! Good luck on that front 😆 maybe he’ll cave one of these days.
FX for your SAH days 😊
@kikigreat0 sounds like y’all have some really sweet kids that are going to love all over a potential sibling one day! FX for you and I hope your stay here is short.
Thank you @singing_koala! They are very sweet despite the older two’s occasional teenagerness coming out 😂 I know they’ll be really excited. Hoping your stay here is short as well, and also, I would looove a robot vacuum! Haha
@kikigreat0 Hi there and welcome 😁 eloping can also be romantic and beautiful ❤️ That’s awesome that you lucked out with the two daughters from your SO. My DH also has a daughter from a previous relationship and I lucked out too. We have a good relationship. She’s close to your daughters age. She’s 9. She has also made numerous comments about wanting to have a sibling lol.. She loves babies so much and would be really good and help out. FX for you and really trying this month.

Thank you!!! And heck yes to already having little helpers! Good luck to you as well
@singing_koala welcome!!! I I am not a teacher but my brother and dad are both band directors! your house sounds so fun with all of your pets!
@kikigreat0 welcome!! Dh and I got married at a courthouse and it was so nice because we didn't have all the hustle and bustle of a big wedding and could really just focus on us. But big weddings are fun too though!! I'm sure whatever you choose to do will be lovely
@kikigreat0 I'm new myself (I'll get around to introing so I'm not a dirty lurker I promise guys) but just wanted to chime in on the eloping thing. My husband and I actually eloped. If I could go back and change things I don't think I would. I might would have hired a photographer instead of just using the lady who ran the B&B but yeah. It was all very romantic. My mother still gives me grief over how she didn't get to go to my wedding and my dad didn't get to walk me down the aisle and all that. It has been 6 years and at this point I'm convinced she will hold it against me forever. But whatever. I hope that whatever you decide to do whether it's a "real wedding" or eloping that you are obviously happy and it is full of wonderful memories.

How many months have you been TTC?: This is cycle 1.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPKs, checking CM. I tried temping to kinda learn my cycle but it was an epic fail. At least it wasn't during a cycle where it mattered?
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): My husband travels for work and is gone basically every other week and sometimes more often than that. I'm a SAHM to 2 kids. Our son is 2 and our daughter is 1. We would ideally like to have baby 3 soonish since the first two are so close in age. It took 2 years to have our first so I know there is no planning these things really. I never know what to put on these GTKY things but if anyone wants to know anything I'm an open book.
