Hi everyone! After getting betas back I'm finally doing an intro.
EDD is May 14th. This baby was conceived with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears - literally. This was our first round of IVF after *TW* multiple losses. *End TW* My IVF coordinator just called to confirm my betas doubled, so I'm going to stop testing before I have give myself a panic attack. Seriously, the lines are the same color and I'm still squinting at them to see if the test line is darker than the control line. It's ridiculous.
I am 38 and live in the Bay Area with MH and our (almost) 5 yo son and our 3 yo daughter. I'm an attorney and MH is in law enforcement. We enjoy hiking, camping, and generally being outdoors. We have two Great Danes and are so excited to (hopefully) complete our family.
@ruby696 I feel you on this. My betas looked great, but now I'm just waiting for early u/s to confirm. They're trying to get me in late next week, but it's on a cancellation basis because there are no current appointments open, so I won't know with very much advance notice, which makes having MH there with me really difficult. And then I fly to Seattle on Saturday, and I'm just like "AHHHHH!" PGAL anxiety is through the roof! We'll get each other through it, though!

I've been a long time lurker on the bump, but this is my first post! My EDD is 5/11. I had been tracking BBT and ovulation but my cycles were a little weird after coming off BC in May. I got my faint positive a 9DPO on an FRER. I got antsy and tested early because I felt really good this cycle and also had a metallic taste in my mouth that I knew could be a symptom. Luckily I was right
I've been married for 4 years, and we have a daughter who will be 2 in a couple weeks. We also have a 3 year old golden retriever. Our family's hobby is drag racing though I go less often now with a little one. I'm excited to actually participate on the bump this time instead of lurking like I did in the September 2017 BMB.
Hey y’all!! STM here and was active on the waiting room but then we got evacuated because hurricanes are fun. Should be due May 7!
I knew it for two days before the test was positive because I was pregnant tired. Also my boobs hurt like mad. Woke my husband up with an I TOLD YOU SO after the BFP 😂
My DS was the last baby born in the Nov17 BMB and I still talk to those girls basically every day, so I’m excited to meet more people here.
I am a wedding and portrait photographer and when I’m not at work I love to bake and read. We’ve got a giant dog and are hoping to eventually have enough land that I can pull a Chip Gaines and surprise the kids with new farm animals all the time on our homeschooling homestead. This is probably a very unrealistic life goal but it sounds amazing so let me live in my joyous delusion 😂
Heyyyy! I’m TattoosandLace. We have a 4 year old, 3 year old, and a 1.5 year old. All daughters. This will probably be our last baby. I am seriously considering a tubal after delivery. We will be team green this time. I found out this morning when I randomly decided to test. EDD is May 18, 2020.
I work for county government and my husband teaches at a CareerTech.
I’m pretty easy going and still talk to people from my previous BMBs so I’m hoping to be active here as well.
I just found out this morning and haven’t told anyone yet.... I tested Monday at 10 or 11 dpo and got a negative but missed my period on Thursday/Friday. I was too afraid to test yesterday but hadn’t started by this morning and got an immediate BFP. I have been feeling early pregnant since late last week and just knew.
I am a pharmacist and and I am very nervous about maternity leave this time around.
I have a stepson who is 9 and a son who is 3.5. I was fairly active on the Nov 15 BMB and am part of one of the fb groups that was formed even though DS wasn’t born until December.
We were trying but DH and I were going thru some things and almost separated in early July so I am very nervous about telling my family about this pregnancy. Just to be clear, we had talked about trying way before anything happened between us, this isn’t a “fix it” baby but more of a ... we always planned on having two, DS gets so sad when SS leaves every other weekend for his moms and we wanted to give him another sibling. He is going to be such a good big brother
ETA I just turned 35 last weekend.... also nervous about having a baby at 35!!!! Eek!
@JStill0603 I turned 35 when pregnant with DD (I'm 38 now). Not only did I have an easy pregnancy and labor, I got lots of free extra testing since I was officially AMA. It was great! The risks really don't increase much at 35, so try not to worry.
Thanks for the encouragement... I am nervous for that but I am also nervous about feeling like a grandma when this LO goes to school! I am still trying to get over the shock of having kids born in 10, 15 and 20!
@ruby696 so excited for you, congrats! Like you, I’ve been staring at those lines and it looks like they are darker!
I had my FET in Aug 30th, with beta bloodwork on Tuesday and Friday this coming week. We have been trying for 4 years for baby #2. I have one son who is 5. We started IVF in January this year and I’m cautiously optimistic that this is it.
Hey everyone! - EDD - May 10 - How you found out - started testing at 8dpo and got a very faint positive on 10dpo. I didn’t even see it at first DH was the one to catch it.
I’m a SAHM with a DD that just turned two in August. *TW we had an early loss before DD so hoping that this little bean sticks as well. DH is a corporate pilot so our lifestyle is a little bit different than most, we know his schedule Thursday that he reports on by Sunday so we are pretty spontaneous day to day. We have two dogs, a standard poodle and labradoodle. We also love to camp and spend time at my parent’s lake house. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and having some community!
How I found out: I was tracking ovulation and tested as early as possible and everyday after that lol. FRER gave me a faint BFP on 8DPO and it got darker every day after that. I tested for 9 days after that because I’m obsessed with seeing that double line darken!
Who I told: DH was in on it all throughout the whole thing so I got to share my excitement with him. Waiting to tell the kids. We have three kids, 2 boys and 1 Girl. 8, 4, and 2
I am SO excited for this baby and definitely fighting off sheer exhaustion. Waiting for worse nausea.. but the really bad stuff usually comes in third tri for me so right now I’m enjoying myself haha.
Excited to be here! I feel like I’ve been waiting for this board forever!
Well. It’s nice to meet you here’s some TMI: I figured out I needed to test because I came down with a random case of butt acne 🤷🏻♀️ The only other time that’s happened is when I was pregnant with my daughter. We were actually OAD, so this is happy surprise, and apparently a little homecoming souvenir as we must have conceived the night my DH came home from 5 weeks away in Armyland lol
Hobbies- paddleboarding, sailing, lake life, yoga, dabbling with watercolors. Job- I’m a full time caregiver for my father and have my daughter full time as well.
Fam: Husband, 2.5yo daughter, and 2 cats
I was super active on my Feb17 board, we’re still dear friends to this day! This will be our miracle baby. Unexpected and improbable, I’d rather not get into my infertility experiences at this point and just enjoy, that for today, I am pregnant ♥️

EDD 5/18 - How you found out: I was out of town and worried about drinking just in case I was KU so I brought 2 tests. My temp was a little down the morning I tested but not too much (I was in a cold cabin). Got a light but clear BFP on a FRER at 12 DPO. I took another one at 13 DPO (a cheap Walmart one) and it was very clear and dark. Had to wait almost 2 days to tell DH so it could be in person! - Hobbies: Baking, decorating baked things, cooking, crafty things - Its me DH, DD, and some fish. - Excited to be here. I've had such awesome support on TB. I was active in Jan '16 and recently in TTGP.
- EDD I'm not entirely sure, my last period started on August 17th, but I ovulated on day 10, so I think I'm a little further than my EDD - How you found out: We've been trying for a few months, so I took a pregnancy test on Thursday and got a very faint positive - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I'm a social studies teacher - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: my husband is also a teacher, and I have a 4 year old son, and a 2 year old son. - Anything you’d like us to know: I'm pretty nervous about this pregnancy being successful, TW, I had 2 miscarriages in between my sons. @heatherlynn321 I'm so sorry about your losses. I just started up the weekly PGAL (pregnant after loss) thread, so feel free to join us over there if you want a group of ladies who are very sympathetic to PGAL anxiety!

Hi there! I'm Hannah, I am 19, and I'm expecting in mid-May 2020. I track my cycle with Flo, and pay close attention to my body. My partner and I were not trying, we were simply just not being the safest and were both open to having a child together. I knew I could be pregnant, and I took a test ONE day before my missed period. I was not expecting it to be positive...it was faint and I thought perhaps it was defective. I got a couple more tests and all were positive! This will be our first child. I'm nervous about miscarrying, but I am taking this one day at a time.
Currently, I'm a barista at a really laid-back coffee shop near Charlottesville, VA, and I also work at an awesome pizza place, making salads and desserts. My partner actually works with me at the pizza place and is a massage therapist (well, just working out the kinks with obtaining his license!). I love to paint, draw, create...sing, dance, work with kids. My partner has a doggo (who is also now my baby too!) named Mila. She is a pit-rottweiler mix and I've never met a dog with such great manners and so much love!
Anyways, I'm nervous but so, so excited! I'm hoping I don't miscarry, but there is literally nothing I can do to prevent it. That said, I totally plan on soaking up every moment while I have the chance. Good luck and much love to all you mamas!
@knottie76bfc9035730a1f6 Welcome. Thanks for the intro! When you have a minute, check out the pinned post "Read this first" for instructions on how to change your username to something more recognizable so we can interact with you more easily. Also, just a quick tip on board etiquette here: please try to use a "TW" (trigger warning) when talking about miscarriage, or perhaps consider not mentioning it casually. I understand that you are nervous, but many of us here have experienced one or multiple miscarriages, so it can be triggering to see someone with no apparent risk factors bring it up like that. Thanks for your consideration!
ETA: there are more detailed instructions about changing your username under the pinned thread titled "Knottie Usernames"

Hello! Third time mom here but very first time joining and posting to a community board like this! a friend of mine did these boards with her December 2016 baby and made so many awesome friends and connections. I hope to as well.
EDD: 05/20/20. Currently 11 dpo but found out at 9 dpo. This third was incredibly unplanned and we’re still wrapping our heads around it. I currently have a 5 1/2 year old and an almost 2 year old (2 in October) both girls. We had every intention of stopping at 2 but the universe had other plans. Husband will be getting a vasectomy ASAP lol. Husband and I have been married since June 2012 and we also have two cats that were my first babies (8 and 10 years old).
Found out by realizing we BD on the day before O not the day before my period like I thought 🤦♀️ I even have screen shots of my app saying we were clear lol. Watched symptoms and the lines begin on Frers since 9dpo. Cheers.
I have been a SAHM since my oldest was born. Prior to that I worked in the university library sector. Now I help my husband run our mobile auto mechanic business here in Long Beach and homeschool our ladies.
Other things? This is insanely unplanned but we’re excited. We will be moving from Long Beach to Riverside Ca early 2020. My first birth was a cesarean and my second birth was a home birth. Hoping to have another home birth with this one. Very excited to meet other moms, especially those local since I am entering a new world of 3 kids lol. Thank you!
Me: 28 - no previous children
DH: 33 - no previous children
03/11/12 - unplanned BFP, very excited
04/30/12 - D&C for Blighted Ovum at 12 weeks
Thanks for the encouragement... I am nervous for that but I am also nervous about feeling like a grandma when this LO goes to school! I am still trying to get over the shock of having kids born in 10, 15 and 20!
I am 35 as well! I turned 35 last May* and will be 36 when this little is born (not last week lol)

I’m a STM in New England and my EDD is May 15. I’m actually terrible with all these abbreviations, I get so lost, so you probably won’t see me use many outside of the very basic ones.
My DD is turning 3 at the end of October. She was born four weeks early without complications. I was active in Nov 16 board and am still connected with a great core group from there.
I had a cat who passed away in June, and we’re considering getting another one or two in the next few months.
I’m turning 35 on Saturday so officially entering the “old pregnant” age. Not that my age concerns me other than I’ll never be the young, hip mom.
*TW*
Like some here, I had a mmc with my first pregnancy so even though I’ve had a successful pregnancy since then, I struggle with my anxiety that this will also end in loss.
I’m determined to give myself permission to enjoy this pregnancy since I intend for it to be my last. Also terrified I’ll end up with multiples (I’m a twin so it’s always on my mind)!
@lajoliedreamer Hey, I'm in New England and also was in N16! I don't recognize your username (unless you changed it) so you might've been more active after I moved to a private group. @m6agua is here, too!

I saw that you mentioned N16, too, @shamrocandroll, but also don’t recognize your username. I honestly stuck mostly to pgal and missed the whole split to a private group until after it happened. 🤷♀️ I also wasn’t a New Englander then (Pacific Northwest) so maybe that factored in to you not remembering me.
Glad to see a fellow N16er anyway! (And it’s great to see you here, too, @m6agua!!)
Hey guys!
I'm a 21 year old Nurse from Victoria, Australia. My husband and I have been TTC for over a year now. We had a miscarriage last year in December at 6 weeks.
My EDD is 5th of May. I found out I was pregnant just 21 days after my dad died of a long battle with cancer. I was 9dpo when I got my faint line.
My husband and I got married in March 2018 and we have been together for 4 years.
I'm super excited but very nervous as all I know when it comes to me being pregnant is loss.
@lajoliedreamer i grew up with my mother telling me twins “skip” a generation and me, my sister or one of my cousins was going to have twins. This is the 4th pregnancy, so far all singles.
Hi all! Im newish here! However just found got a BFP on Saturday and am ecstatic to be pregnant with my 4th! - EDD of May 12th and first OB set up for 10/2! I found out a day after my husband's birthday! First early test was negative and then I took one the next night and presented it to him as a belated birthday present! 😁
I have a almost 11 year old DD - I was barely 17 when she was born but she was the best thing that could've happen to me, an almost 8 year old DS both from my first marriage and my current husband and I have a DD that just turned 2! We have been together for 4 years and married 1!
We have been trying for a few month for a little sibling for "the baby" as we call her (even though she's two) and are so happy it has finally happened! I am a loan officer and my husband does Pavement marking for a Traffic company which is a busy summer job! He finds himself out of town a lot in the summer which is stressful but we manage.
I am pretty involved in my community and love volunteering! We have a 120 lb white German Shepard and an orange tabby cat! Needless to say we have a very very busy household!
I am so happy to be here! Best wishes for a healthy/happy pregnancy for all!
- EDD: mid May - How you found out: I’m three days late today, and suspected but was afraid to hope. But today I suddenly had the nausea super hard, and I’ve been cramping for three days with no sign of a period. I sent DH to the store with both boys and then I POAS at 5 in the afternoon. And here we are. - Hobbies, Job, Etc. I’m a SAHM to DS1 who just turned 4 and DS2 who will be 2 in February. I love to read, love the beach ((but am currently stuck in the desert)), try to do yoga a few times a day, and am working on being more fit and healthy - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies DH and I have been married for 7 years, we have two sons, 4 and 1.5., we have two shih tzus, 12 and 5 years old, and one gigantic orange cat who keeps bringing me presents of baby bunnies, lizards, grasshoppers and baby quail. I do not appreciate his gifts. - Anything you’d like us to know: I was in A15 with my first and M18 with my second... both groups I moved to Facebook with and chat with daily. My M18 showed up at 36 weeks since he spontaneously decided to pop my water and then my contractions stopped. But he came and has been healthy, and small ever since. I grew up on a farm on the east coast and while I have enjoyed our time in the West, I do not enjoy the desert. Lol. TW: Loss
I had a miscarriage between 5-6 weeks before I was pregnant with my M18. PGAL Brain never goes away. I was active on TTGP and TTCAL the last time I did this. It takes us over a year to get pregnant when we try and I hadn’t joined TTGP this time around because I was trying to not be super anxious about TTC.
I had a feeling I might be pregnant, took a test on the 21st, line was so faint hubby couldn't see it and didnt show until 20-30 mins after. Retested on the 24th and 2 obvious lines!!! Went to the doctor to confirm because my cycle is out of whack and history of previous miscarriages. Did a beta and ultrasound. Beta was 3700 at 4.5 weeks. Ultrasound showed a gestational sac. I go back for another ultrasound on Thursday to see how things are progressing. Due date is around the 1st of May.
I run my own business from my home. I like to read, paint, ride horses, sing, and dance.
I am happily married we have 2 kids- 11 and 6. Girl and boy. We have 3 dogs and a cat.
My symptoms have been really bad so far. Constant nausea for the past week, and beyond exhausted, more so than previous pregnancies. Not sure sure if it's because I'm older now- almost 34- but hoping it eases up a bit as time goes on.
Hi! I'm a STM living in Maine. Due May 22 with this one. We just started trying again so I tested yesterday and got a BFN but it was still early. Got a clear BFP today. I work from home for a small nonprofit. Outside of work I love to bake and read. My daughter was born in April 2017 and I'm super tight with my A17 BMB. I'm kind of nervous about this pregnancy because of another one in daycare and my generally not liking being pregnant.
DD #1: April 2017 DD #2: May 2020 Baby #3: EDD May 2023; MC October 2022

@heatherlynn321 I'm so sorry about your losses. I just started up the weekly PGAL (pregnant after loss) thread, so feel free to join us over there if you want a group of ladies who are very sympathetic to PGAL anxiety!

Thank you!
DH: 33 - no previous children
03/11/12 - unplanned BFP, very excited
04/30/12 - D&C for Blighted Ovum at 12 weeks
TTC ever since.

@kaitieb14 Thank you! I'm always so afraid of sour dough starters. They're like creatures to me! 😂
*TW*
I’m determined to give myself permission to enjoy this pregnancy since I intend for it to be my last. Also terrified I’ll end up with multiples (I’m a twin so it’s always on my mind)!

TTC#2 April 2019Glad to see a fellow N16er anyway! (And it’s great to see you here, too, @m6agua!!)
- How you found out: I’m three days late today, and suspected but was afraid to hope.
I love to read, love the beach ((but am currently stuck in the desert)), try to do yoga a few times a day, and am working on being more fit and healthy
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies DH and I have been married for 7 years, we have two sons, 4 and 1.5., we have two shih tzus, 12 and 5 years old, and one gigantic orange cat who keeps bringing me presents of baby bunnies, lizards, grasshoppers and baby quail.
Lol.
TW: Loss
Just found out I'm preggo with baby #3.
