Re: July Symptoms

  • @Swiftlet you just can’t have anything IN your vagina. You can still enjoy orgasms by other methods 😉

Ah. When I was on pelvic rest, my midwife just said “nothing in the vagina.”
  • Here is a new one: bloody gums. I took my retainer out this morning and was shocked to see a ton of bright red blood suddenly appear. It looked like I got punched in the mouth! Swished some water and after a couple rounds was totally fine. Zero blood when brushing, oddly enough.
  • @malloryfrommn Yes! I have a nurse that calls from my insurance for their maternity program and she mentioned that when saying that my insurance should cover three cleanings during the pregnancy! But boy was the bleeding crazy at the dentist lol

  • @daffodil_shoe @jvk2012 they didn't specify whether or not I was allowed to have any orgasms :D Honestly, all of the bleeding and spotting I've had has freaked me out enough that I'm afraid to even consider it right now. Hopefully that means after 12 weeks everything will be AWESOME after having abstained for so long haha!
  • @optimism3 yeah i had to get up at 2:45 am, leave the house at 3:15 to be at work at 4am. I definitely wasnt feeling it. Worked 10 hours and im exhausted. And my husband wants to go out and browse flea markets. Like i just want to rest lol

Headaches here too! Took a 1/2 day sick day and got a two hour nap which seems to have helped but we will see what happens when I get out of bed.

Im also jealous of the good sex? Right now it’s just painful. 😑

  • @nhh11 hope it went well! Made it through Monday!

@jessieR358 I may have to look into B6 lol.

@jvk2012 lol. Yay for you. I will admit - I put us on pelvic rest without doctor’s orders. 😬 IF + one CP prior = paranoia. Your post is hope for the other side - dropping this at 12 weeks
  • Yay for MS getting worse before it hopefully gets better.
Today was the first time in my life I was ready to open a ginger ale before I paid for it just to make the gagging stopped. I walked out of CVS with tears streaming down my face bc of all the gagging lol. I'm a mess, and it's only 8am...
  • @babyroma Oh no! I hope you're able to feel better, stat!

  • @babyroma I’m on the same boat! 😭 I started off with minimal nausea, I was so excited. A week ago it ramped up, and I gag all the time. This morning I learned that McDs breakfast tastes a lot better going down than it does 5 minutes later coming back.
  • @daffodil_shoe Oh no!! Yeah I was pretty good until about last week (8 weeks).
Thankfully I've only thrown up once so far but all the gagging is just as bad to me! Lol
Also strong smells have started to trigger my gagging....which is super fun when you have to walk by 2 smelly garbage alleys to get to work!

I am so sorry that it’s ramping up on some of you guys.  I would probably lock myself away if mine was getting worse.  I usually love being pregnant, but I just can’t with MS and four little ones anymore.  For those that feel worse this go around it might be because you are older.  When I had my first son at 20 I had almost no symptoms.  At 30 with my daughter they were minimal, a little worse at 31 with my son and the last three have been miserable.  I am 37 now and I think my body is like “girl, you need to stop!  Take this!”

Because we are a large family I follow a lot of large families on IG and these women have upwards of 10+.  The thought of dealing with MS that many times is overwhelming for me, but the common theme is that they all seem to have minimal symptoms and easy pregnancies.  I guess I wouldn’t be as opposed to more if we had assuming we had the time and money if I had it kind of easy the first tri.
  • @DDRRT1982 I think age has nothing to do with MS. My SIL got pregnant at 24 and had horrible MS. She had to have a bucket with her at all times.
This is also my first pregnancy and I am 37 and I haven't puked yet. I am nauseous all day but Unisom + vit B6 is helping a ton.

  • @rikiteacup thank you for coming here to discount my experience.  Of course, my comment is completely anecdotal and just an observation I have noticed over the years.
  • @DDRRT1982 I have noticed each pregnancy gets harder the older I get too. This one at 30 is kicking my booty, my first at 23 was easy(minus wicked sunburn) on me with very little symptoms.
  • @DDRRT1982 I am not discounting your experience. My point is that each pregnancy is different, no matter the age.

  • @rikiteacup thank you!  I don’t want to keep living this life thinking all pregnancies are the same.
  • @DDRRT1982 My anecdotal experience is that pregnancy at 27 was ridiculously easier than pregnancy at 31. I'm sure the fact that I had no tiny humans sucking away my sleep and sanity for years prior, and that my DH and I could just relax all evening and weekend every day was helpful too... The before and after photos are legit- at 27 I didn't have a wrinkle, grey hair, or black eye circle anywhere! I kind of can't wait to see my face 6 months in with this baby. It's going to be like the presidential before and afters- having kids isn't for the faint of heart.
  • +1 for each subsequent pregnancy being harder. It would be cool if I could sleep whenever I felt like or give into all of my carb cravings to curb nausea without ruining my children’s healthy diets. The emotional stress makes it harder too, I think. I’ve been turning the tv on for hours every day to cope and I feel like a shitty parent.

@doodleoodle Although it probably doesn't feel like it, there really is no shame in doing what you have to in order to survive right now. You aren't a shitty parent and your kiddos are going to be just fine. 💕
  • This one has also been harder for me than the first three. But I agree that every pregnancy is different - I’ve had crazy symptoms with all of them (carpal tunnel, rhinitis, you name it). The upside is it’s making me never want to be pregnant again, so I’m feeling at peace stopping at four. Lol
  • @mandk1233 thanks! I know that I’m in survival mode right now, but it’s easy to mom shame yourself. As I’m sure we all know too well.
  • @doodleoodle So true! Try to be gentle with yourself and find some supportive people who will remind you that you are growing a human when you start to get down on yourself. Hugs to you.
  • Talk about mom shame, every year I take my kids to a theme park or at least a couple fairs with rides. This year the heat is beating me. We dont leave the house besides work. Pregnancy was a lot easier for me at 20-22 when i was a part time clerk supplementing husbands income. Now im working mandatory 60hr work weeks and im older lol.
  • @robynlynn2000 this heat is no joke! And working 60 hours per week would have me wiped on a good day, not being pregnant. You’re basically a rock star.

@doodleoodle thanks but i dont feel like it. I felt great taking my kids fishing and swimming on Sunday. Our first time out for fun in weeks. Im exhausted from work and growing a baby. I basically get the kids, come home, go to the store for dinner, make dinner (sometimes my husband does) take a bath, eat dinner and crash on the couch until everyone goes to bed around 9pm. Then i get back up at 3am. Its not enough sleep but i cant cut out family time and sometimes my husband doesnt get home until 7pm from work. Hoping the overtime doesnt last, and the MS fades completely. I do feel better this week.

Anyone else really dragging today?? Ugh I’m just so tired and feeling a little crummy. Doing my best to appear like I’m working since I sit right next to my boss!

@alseltzer I’m so glad your headache went away! I’m such a baby when I have a headache.

I hope everyone who was feeling mom shamed feels better today! You definitely have to do whatever you need to survive right now! And I’m sure you’re all amazing moms 😊
  • @nhh11 that was me yesterday. Today I had to get up, dressed, and do my hair/makeup for a job interview. It was brutal first thing but now that it's over I feel like I have energy again. Go figure...

    @nhh11 The drag is real.

Is rage a pregnancy symptom? I feel beyond angry that I'm expected to work today. I want to serve breakfast in my PJs until 10:30, take my toddler to the zoo, make a late lunch, nap together, and then fold laundry, watch TV, and play in the garden until dinner. Why isn't this my life right now?!
Yes, rage is fully warranted in this situation! :)

@mandk1233 very impressed at you getting all dressed up and functional!! Go you!

  • @nhh11 It happens rarely these days. Yesterday I slept most of the day. 😂 And I have generally given up on properly doing my hair. It's summer, it's hot, and I'm tired so I have been rocking my natural curls for a month.
  • @nhh11 I felt great this morning but now I’m exhausted and feel a headache coming on.

Okay question, Iv just spent 10 mins googling and searching and I’m not really getting answers and I think I might just be freaking myself out. This is kinda tmi but that’s half the reason I joined this community so here it goes...

But, discharge. Just a lot. This is technically my 5th pregnancy. 1st pregnancy everything normal, 5 years ago and I don’t remember much. After that I had 3 miscarriages so everything scares me.
I am 9 weeks, we saw the baby yesterday heart beat was 171 but now I’m freaking out.
Today, no morning sickness, boobs not so sore, and I went to use the restroom and I had so much discharge and it looked like I peed a little in my undies. What the heck. Lol I’m sorry, but my doctors office is closed right now or else I would be sharing this with my doctor. I’m also experiencing some back cramps...

Im freaking out because obviously having 3 mcs before anything out of the ordinary scares me. I just don’t remember this much discharge before or peeing and not knowing this early on.

Has as anyone else experienced something like this at 9 weeks :(
  • Has anyone else been having problems with leg cramps? It feels like every night I get cramps in the same spot on my left calf. The pillow between the legs presses on that spot, exacerbating the problem, but I'm at the point where it's uncomfortable to be without the pillow. I'm drinking plenty of water every day.
  • @babyspice5 My doctor told me that I should contact her if I am bleeding AND cramping. And, as @daffodil_shoe said, swamp crotch is totally normal.
  • I’m also dragging today despite the fact that my husband took the girls today and I got to sleep until almost 11 this morning. I was ready for a nap by 1. I now feel so sleepy that I feel like the headache I have right now is solely from being tired.

@craftywitch I think being irritable is definitely a symptom. A person can only feel miserable for so long without being agitated.
