@cmd723-z omg hahaha! My husband is like really bugging me to take my first “bump” dress picture, it’s kind of cute. I’m like oh honey, that’s just bloating and carbs...
Monday the ms seemed to hit really hard at 630 am, half an hour into my shift. I got sick once and 20 min later i got super hot and almost passed out. Like everything started going black and i couldn't breathe. Ive never has ms that bad, and its been pretty mild until this. So my supervisor and the safety lady took me to the cafeteria where we have a.c.. They had me sit for a bit and cool down with ice packs. I was so embarrassed. Im like, this is going to happen everyday for a while and youre making a big deal out of nothing. But today my husband is sick so maybe it wasnt ms related. Has anyone else had this happen?
@nhh11: has yours come and gone? I was so bad the last few days and today feel semi normal. Food still sounds gross, but I can at least function without feeling like I’m going to be sick.
Yes mine totally comes and goes. Which of course I read into as a “bad sign” (although just got back from an US appt and all looks good!🙂). So I’m just going to try to be thankful for the days I feel good!! I hope yours stays gone!!
@cmd723-z My condolences for your loss, but it was a natural fate.
My husband suffered a similar fate this morning when he implied that although I am fatigued I can't possibly be as tired as the first pregnancy because I am up taking care of a 3 yr old already, some how this is easier??? Oh what a revelation!
@robynlynn83 how scary! I get bouts of low blood pressure (not in pregnancy) that are similar to what you described and I think pregnancy causes lower blood pressure so it could have been related to that too.
You guys! I have found a hack for the bloat. Put on your cutest sweatpants and pull them up to the smallest part of your waist, pair with a black or white tank, and voilà! Instantly you are transformed into a sexy, kurvy Kardashian 😂 I swear. I am feeling myself today.
@doodleoodle nice! I started wearing these sweatpant/shorts that I got from target to my sons’ baseball games. Pretty sure my husband thinks I’m giving up on life, but too bad. It’s almost 100 degrees outside and I’m tired and nauseous. Real pants after work are not acceptable right now.
@therealbitts you should be proud of yourself for staying for an entire game in this heat! My go to outside look is capri yoga pants, a loose fitting Nike or Adidas shirt and a baseball cap. Idk why it feels put together to me, but it does. Although most of my yoga pants are high waisted and it literally hurts my stomach to wear them right now.
I thought maybe I’d gotten past the vomiting thing, but this morning proved that wrong. I’m feeling less of the nausea type I felt before and more like sour stomach...does that make sense? Like I’m still nauseous but in a different way. Lots of heartburn last night too which is new. Burping a ton, ugh.
@Swiftlet I know EXACTLY what you mean! More sour tummy than nausea, and definitely heartburn. I've been burping a lot too, and it seems to help!
Today was a WEIRD tummy day for me. Exactly what I described above, but also a CONSTANT feeling like I wanted to gag. I didn't really feel sick, but still had to fight the urge to gag all day long. Then, when I finally got home I couldn't help it-- all it took was one gag and I was sprinting for the toilet.
So I am beyond frustrated ladies. I have been dealing with what I strongly believe is a UTI for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, with the holiday weekend I wasn’t able to get into my OB so I went to a walk in. They tested my urine and said it was negative for a UTI 🤯 I was completely confused but the doctor heard my frustration and prescribed me a 5 day regimen of pregnancy safe antibiotics. Well tomorrow is my last day of them and I still have no relief. I’m going out of town on Monday and terrified that I will be miserable the whole time. I am going to call my OB first thing in the morning and demand to be seen and get some much needed answers. Have any of you ladies ever experienced anything like this? I’m at a loss. 🥴 oh and the only thing that seems to provide temporary relief is drinking 2-3 glasses of cranberry juice as quickly as I can.
@kayteep27 how awful! I have had something similar happen, but it just eventually went away. I wouldn’t recommend my wait and see approach while pregnant though. Keep us posted
@daffodil_shoe I have no itching though so I don’t get how it could be a yeast infection. And I haven’t changed my soap 🤷🏻♀️ I was just given the full gambit of tests and no STIs showed. I have contemplated a stone but I have been drinking so much water.
@kayteep27 I think an infection/irritation that doesn’t go away with a round of antibiotics should probably be referred to your OB for further testing. The other possibility is the bacteria that is causing irritation might have been resistant to the antibiotic you took. I’d call your OB even if they can’t get you in with your time frame. Maybe they can call you something or clear you to take AZT. That usually helps me with temporary relief, but I have never taken it pregnant and don’t know if it’s pregnancy safe.
I agree with @DDRRT1982 A lot of women need a specific antibiotic to get rid of their UTI because the common one prescribed doesn't work for them.

So I’m pretty sure I got food poisoning at lunch yesterday. I’ve been vomiting since yesterday evening and felt alive enough to nibble on a roll which i kept down. Now I vomited breakfast which I don’t know if is because I ate so little (eating more helps my MS) or because of the stomach thing. I am so miserable that I stayed home from work which i rarely ever do
Okay ladies the verdict is in! I am a carrier of group b strep 😬 which my previously prescribed antibiotic does not treat. Soooo onto ampicillin! Doctor is confident that I will have relief soon 🤗
@kayteep27 That makes two of us on this GBS+ train. I got put on meds earlier this week because I have a CVS scheduled for Monday and they need to clear it from my system ASAP. I don’t think I’ve ever been this regimented about my antibiotics.
great news @kayteep27! I might look for an OB who can see you sooner when you have an issue like this. I have recurrent UTI and my OB suggested sleeping sans underwear to let everything breathe.

When does the nausea get better? I'm supposed to be 10 weeks and I thought it starts to get better then but it hasnt for me. MS is worse when I'm at home for some reason. I guess I eat more at work? Last night I had delicious chicken wings fresh from the oven ready for me to devote and I couldn't eat them I ended up eating more beige carbs later to make my tummy feel better... Sorry for the rant! Just over this nausea
@clearlyclara, in my 1st pregnancy I was able to eat in the teacher's lunch room again without wanting to vomit at 10 weeks. By 12 I was feeling mostly better. By 15 weeks I was definitely hungry all the time! Hopefully you are nearing the end of your MS.
@clearlyclara all I've heard is that MS disappears at 12 weeks for 95% of women.

@clearlyclara 10-12 weeks is when mine starts getting better, but still comes and goes. I swear a few weeks into second tri feeling human happens in earnest though. You’re probably close! Hopefully you’ll start having normal days soon.
I thought my nausea was kind of behind me but I forgot my unisom last night and then today at work someone must've had ramen? Instant gag. And bonus points - a coworker watched it all. He's not very intelligent so hopefully he didn't get suspicious LOL.
@leksiL thanks for the idea for sleeping 😀The only reason my OB wasn’t able to get me in the first time was because I called late in the business day on 7/3. 😐 It wasn’t physically possible for me to get to them in the 15 minutes before they closed. They were wonderful with me today though. I walked right in and they had me seen by a doctor within 5 minutes!
@lanie1000 my doctor made it seem somewhat “normal”. Now that they know I am a carrier it helps with my treatment through delivering baby.
I was group b strep positive with my son. I dont remember with my daughter but she was csection so im sure i had antibiotics anyway. With my son they said a) we dont know what causes it and b) testing positive once doesnt mean you always have it. When my water broke they insisted i come in immediately to be put in bed on a monitor and have antibiotics through IV. Which means your stuck. No walking or getting up unless its to go potty. I was so frustrated because my daughter (18 mo) was running around the room and i was getting super p*ssed because my mother wouldnt deal with her. She left with her for an hour saying they would head home. Then she came back and was like "i couldn't stay away".
I do remember having an awful burning sensation after sex while pregnant with my daughter. The NP I saw suggested more lube, or that I had a reaction to new soap, etc. But literally it was like I was allergic to my husbands semen. How dumb I looked 7 mo pregnant and buying condoms.
@brookert615 I was telling hubby last night about the awkward "pregnant or too many tacos" stage but how for me it's ramen. Real Japanese ramen, not the brick of dried noodles stuff. It's like a cure for MS for me. I can be nauseous on the verge of vomiting, but eat ramen and I feel great afterwards. Unfortunately, too many bowls of carbs and broth will exacerbate the awkward in-between stage.
@noxacanthus, yum ramen, not the cheap kind. I know what you mean. I get mine at the huge Chinese grocery store by our college and drop at least 20$ a month on good noodles.
Is it too soon to start having vivid dreams about food? Fresh sushi rice topped with free caught salmon. I'm so hungry but I don't know why. I have put on at least 5 lbs already. Whatevs, if baby says eat I eat, just not sugar junk.

@doodleoodle thanks for the toothbrush tip!! I’m going to give it a go. Focusing on my breathing seems to help a bit, too.
