@noxacanthus Real ramen sounds good and smells way better lol. This was the cheap stuff where you add water. I’m just going to have to avoid the work kitchen because my one coworker eats it every day and honestly I’m worried about his health LOL.
@sunshinegarden I didn't eat a lot of Asian food in college, but now I regret all those wasted years. It's so delicious. When I dream about food, it's usually Mexican food because it's so rare here. One of the many things that I'm excited for when we move back to the U.S.
So I am beyond frustrated ladies. I have been dealing with what I strongly believe is a UTI for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, with the holiday weekend I wasn’t able to get into my OB so I went to a walk in. They tested my urine and said it was negative for a UTI 🤯 I was completely confused but the doctor heard my frustration and prescribed me a 5 day regimen of pregnancy safe antibiotics. Well tomorrow is my last day of them and I still have no relief. I’m going out of town on Monday and terrified that I will be miserable the whole time. I am going to call my OB first thing in the morning and demand to be seen and get some much needed answers. Have any of you ladies ever experienced anything like this? I’m at a loss. 🥴 oh and the only thing that seems to provide temporary relief is drinking 2-3 glasses of cranberry juice as quickly as I can.
Yes I had this with my first. It was awful!! I just had to deal with it. But they should have sent your urine off for a culture. With my second, I had at least 3 UTIs during the pregnancy. I was so worried with all of the antibiotics I took with him. 3 or 4 UTIs, strep throat, and a sinus infection
*Trigger Warning* Well, after about three weeks of bleeding and cramping, and blood tests and ultrasounds, they've finally ruled it as a complete miscarriage. So, it looks like I'll be saying goodbye. But I really wish everyone else here the best for the rest of their pregnancies. Lots of love to you all and thank you all for the support
AFM, I'm finally over the stomach flu thing, hallelujah.
It was scary though (TMI ahead) - I was vomiting so severely the first night that I started having bright red spotting and even a big clot pass (no cramping). It wasn't actual bleeding like into a pad or anything and but all night I was terrified. It has since settled to brown spotting again, and lessened. Last night was my last progesterone suppository since I'm at 8 weeks so hopefully the spotting continues to peter out to nothing. UGH
I’m at work right now and actually had some brown spotting myself. Since I’m in a birthing center, I just asked the OB here on call if it was fine because brown means old. She goes “how about we just go over to the clinic and do a quick ultrasound to make sure everything looks ok!” Perks to working with OBGYNs 😁
Sure enough, kiddo looked great- measuring on track and HB was 168. She even printed a few pics!
@daffodil_shoe Honestly, I didn't I had a similar episode after my first ultrasound and my NP told me to let her know if there was any actual bleeding versus spotting. The spotting was reddish right after the profuse/prolonged vomiting but turned brown and lightened pretty soon after it stopped. I have an US scheduled on Friday with my OB. I can send them a note on Monday and make sure they don't want to see me sooner, though. Right now the spotting is just brown as it has been through a lot of these first few weeks.
almost 8 weeks and so far Iv gained around 7 lbs. My stomach is so incredibly bloated. I feel so fat. It’s all in my stomach and I’m getting “rolls” lol Iv never had them so I can tell right away. I worked out almost everyday before getting pregnant and now I have zero motivation to do anything. I’m just gaining weight like crazy!
Then on top of that my very strong early pregnancy systems ie sore breast, sick/ nausea, headaches have all subsided so that has me freaking out. I have been flying for 4 days so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, I feel like my symptoms are stronger when I’m at home for some reason.
I threw out my back on Wednesday. I have back issues because I walk different due to a neuro disorder. Anyway, it was the worst ever... could barely move. And my chiropractor is on vacation for 2 weeks. I’m finally feeling better today, although still getting around with a walker. It’s way too early for me to be having this horrible of back problems! Time to do more core exercises. Ugh!
I have what I think might be an infected Montgomery gland on one of my nipples and it hurts so badly. It feels like somebody scraped the skin right off my nipple. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and will ask her about it then, but does anyone have any recommendations in the meantime of ways to manage it?
Today I am in smell overload and someone in the office is wearing too much man perfume. I'm still nauseous and the heat is overwhelming. Super emotional too. I'm hoping to get some motivation this week but Thursday is our summer picnic...at a brewery...so I might just go take a nap instead

Week 9 and the morning sickness has decided to kick it up a level. What goes in comes immediately back out. 🤢 And here I thought I was getting over the hump cause I had a pretty great week 8. 🤣😩😭
How important are prenatals? I mean I know taking them is good. I’ve been experimenting what time to take them and I get super sick about an hour after. If it take it at night I’m fine. (Problem is I often forget or don’t take t at night and do during the day the next day) then I remember why I don’t take them during the day...
@kives22020 It's very important to take them. But it's not the end of the world if you forget a couple times. I would talk to you doctor to see if they can recommend another prenatal that might not make you sick!
@swiftlet and @daffodil_shoe I’m also having some spotting. I remember spotting with my other pregnancies and know it’s probably ok. It’s still really unnerving. Hoping it stops for all of us soon.
Ms is killing me this week and its only Monday. With the AC at work broke it said 85 on the thermostat. Combined with long sleeve ppe and moving aroudn and working, being pregnant always turns my heat up. I got sick three times. The last time was dry heaving and my stomach is cramping do to that. I came back to the line (gone 2 min max) and my coordinator yelled at me and said i cant leave the line until someone takes my spot. I snapped back that im trying not to puke on the floor. Then i left at lunch i was so mad. I still got sick twice once i got home. And ive basically laid around all afternoon with a migraine. Im ready for the second trimester.
Yesterday at work was rough; hoping today is better. I was nauseous all morning, just couldn't seem to focus, and almost fell asleep during a meeting. It's actually a busy week for us, so I really need to figure out a way to overcome first trimester-itis.
@kives22020 Try to find one you can tolerate. It's great to take a prenatal postnatal as well. I can't tolerate any DHA in my vitamins, pregnant or not. Makes me really sick. Maybe that's an issue?
It’s almost hilarious how my cravings are so typical. Pickles and chocolate milk for dinner tonight. I ended up cooking dinner for DH and quite literally gagged the whole time 😂.

I just came to complain about exhaustion and how unreasonable it feels to even be asked to meet anything close to my regular daily expectations.
