@andromedacorrine2, Oh, I didn't mean to imply you were lying or trolling! I believe you that these people conceived while they were on birth control. I was just saying that I am assuming some of your friends/family/acquaintances might have been improperly using their birth control when they conceived. Most forms of birth control are very effective and, when used correctly, the failure rate is super low. For example, Google says the pill is 99.9% effective when used correctly. The failure rate is much higher if you skip doses, forget to take it at the same time every day, use antibiotics that interfere with its effectiveness, etc. I just meant it's highly likely that some of your friends made these kinds of mistakes, so while they may have been on birth control, they probably weren't using it properly. Because for you to know multiple people who fell into the 0.1% would be crazy unlikely odds.
That's very true. You wouldn't believe how many people I've come across that don't know that antibiotics interfere with BC too. That's the most plausible explaination to me! I can't say for certainty that it was, but more than likely it was the case.
