Because for you to know multiple people who fell into the 0.1% would be crazy unlikely odds.

That's very true. You wouldn't believe how many people I've come across that don't know that antibiotics interfere with BC too. That's the most plausible explaination to me! I can't say for certainty that it was, but more than likely it was the case.
