@cmbt2 I admit there were some interesting characters on my S16 group a few years back. There were some heated exchanges and ruffled feathers and definitely one or two people who had to have been pure MUD.

I will say I spend wayyyyyy less time on TB (which is probably a good thing), compared to my first in 2012- oh the drama that would go on 😆
Confession: I hate having visitors after leaving the hospital. I’m a wreck, my house is a wreck, trying to establish a good breastfeeding connection and routine sucks balls. I bought YI cameras so I don’t have to answer the door unless I really want too. I also install a big TV in my bedroom so that no one is sure if I’m home or not with the baby.
I appreciate that they care but I would rather spend the first 2-3 months at home with no visitors. My mom caught on to this after baby #2 and started arranging for me to go to her house for a few hours once a week where people could come see me there, it was so much better.
@sweetteaandswingsmama I have a no visitors rule for the first month. It’s mainly for my overbearing, can’t take a hint, ILs, but it works well. Only visitor is my grandmother who helps with the boys for the first week while moving around is hell

Lol! I lived it. I was 9 months pregnant, already on maternity leave, and both my labor buddies were in labor the day things hit the fan, so I had nothing better to do haha. I’m really freaking snarky when I feel like it. I’ve toned it down for now...
Confession: I have an important professional exam Tuesday and my mind keeps wandering from studying to all things baby and also tracking down the threads above.
My boss asked me how things were going last week and I had to admit that I wish they were better. I can’t wait for Tuesday to be over so I can feel less guilty about focusing on baby! My mom and I are going to Minneapolis shopping this weekend and I’m so excited!
@sammygirl18 Good luck in the final push to study and on your exam! I also have a tough accounting exam coming up on Saturday and I’m trying very hard to focus and commit to one more week of studying.
@geminigirl16 Good luck on your exam too! I feel like the last week is the hardest, torn between wishing you had more time to learn more and just wanting to get it over with. Mine is an actuarial exam on regulation and reporting, so there’s definitely some accounting aspects on it!
Confession: we had a late night last night — visited H’s family and didn’t get home until 9 pm (don’t even get me started on this, was already salty about the timing). And of course, DD didn’t fall asleep on the way home as planned (her bedtime is 7, that’s when we left). And I’m SO GLAD that I’m going to work today and that H is going to be the one dealing with her crankypants because you know she’s gonna be a bear today! 😂

This is me!!! I'm sorry, I can't help it(took a lot of strength not to here ...I also use lol or lmao waaaayyy too often. My best friend actually yells at me all the time, cause we're in a group chat with 3 others and she's constantly saying you don't need emojis or we know you're not mad stop lol'ing....whoops 😂
@jenferlee82 SO wants a suburban. I hate driving our damn Avalanche, much less a freaking bus!!! And I grew up in minivans, I hate them as well 😂 my 1st and 3rd SIL have SUVs, a Traverse and a Highlander and I love both of them. He's likes the high lander but not the Traverse. We both really like the Siennas. We want to stick with Toyota if we can, cause I have a Corolla that has been amazing for us. My grandma wants to sell me her minivan and I said nope, she was like "well you're gonna have to be a minivan mom now, nothing else will hold 3 carseats" not true, that Highlander does amazing with 3 in it!
That breast duct picture is freaky too me too. Makes me very uncomfortable, and of course Every breastfeeding page I follow shares it like 6 times a day.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE OLDER GENERATION. My grandma told me after DD that I needed my tubes tied cause now I have a boy and girl. Then just at Easter asked me 3 DIFFERENT WAYS if I was getting them time, why did we need a new baby, we were already set up perfectly, we had one of each and they are perfect kids so why add another hassle, THIS IS THE LAST ONE RIGHT???? Wrong. I'd like 4, always wanted 6 but SO compromised at 4. We were gonna wait til DS and DD were 5 and 4 and then have 2 more back to back again but totally excited for this. And to be honest, 3 may be it for us, but I'm not gonna tell her that. She's so mad we're having one more. Like it's the end of the world ughh.

Once he started showing me why he thinks that, I immediately recognized it as nub theory. My first thought was that TB ladies would have a field day. Then I got excited and went and put headbands on my registry. 😂 Still waiting on the ultrasound on May 16th though haha.

I had a tech guess with DS1 around 13w that she saw the makings of a scrotum when we went in for a sneak peak (DH wasn’t feeling attached at all, so I thought a sneak peak would help him), and she ended up correct. I didn’t ask how she knew 🙈

Yes! There's a mom group I'm a part of on FB and god the amount of snark on there is just ridiculous. I've gotten flamed just for the use of metaphors lol.
Also, the snark is def coming out of me, there's one person who sits with us at lunch and he's annoying. I try not to sit next to him so that I don't snap at him, but I don't want to be rude and ignore him, but he's young, and a "know it all" so....
When people make a spectacle of the sex based on early US, I always hope they are wrong 🤷♀️
We had a woman on Jan’15 who was told girl at her A/S and went for a 30w+ growth scan... guess what? Tech discovered that it was a boy. So, when I see someone say they found out via ultrasound before 15w (which is the earliest you can definitely see), I always am like “yeah, about that... Congrats on your [insert opposite sex]!”
i also know someone’s who’s NIPT said boy and, surprise, it was a girl, which is why I always hope the ones who get told boy get it confirmed at their A/S. It’s rare, but it does happen
