I'm not planning to find out, though DH wants us to. I'm still making my case to him for not finding out.
I’m the same way. This is our second child, I’d like it to be a surprise for me, but my spouse wants to know. I told him he can know the sex, but don’t spill the beans to anyone, including me.
@jcbh2018 oh man I could never do that! If I knew he knew I would be like OK FREAKIN TELL ME! It definitely has to be a team effort for me to make it team green all the way 😂 which I really want to do! Yet I was already googling all the things last night about what it could possibly be... so shameful.
Eta: just saw about not clogging the thread... I promise not to comment any more 😆
I'm about 99% sure I want to find out (my H is definitely 100% sure), but I don't think I'm ready to know yet!! So we might sit on that portion of the test results for awhile before opening them, or possibly wait until the anatomy scan.
I'm quoting myself because LOL to thinking we'd ever be able to "sit on" the sex results without opening them for any length of time at all. 😂 As soon as I knew that information was available to us, I had to know. I caved in less than 10 minutes.
Sneak Peek tells me It's A Boy!!!! I'm cautiously excited! Keeping all receipts until we confirm with ultrasound. Now to pick a name. That's the hard part!
It’s a girl for us too according to Harmony test! 😍 Super excited but also a little nervous since my 4 year old son says he wants a baby boy and that he’s ready to sell his 2year old sister to his friend. 😂
No blood test results yet but the Dr at today's appt said her gut feeling tells her it's a boy. I feel slightly deflated but the silver lining is both SO and I are absolutely on the same page for boy names. We'll know for sure when blood test comes back next week. Also makes me super thankful for all my unisex clothing choices for DD1 and DD2 until they were 2. Ha!
It's official, we're TEAM PINK and I'm sooo very excited! Double edged sword though. We were definitely wanting to have one of each, but lol to the "crap, they can't share the same room after 2 years" and "what to do with all those boys clothes?". I think this little girl will be wearing a lot of monsters and dinosaurs and I'm actually totally ok with that 😂

I know this is irrelevant and kind of a silly question but how is everyone finding out early! I am offered the blood test for all that prenatal testing but I don’t think I get the option to find out gender from it, at least that’s the impression i’m getting from my doctor.
Not to derail the thread, but...
There’s different levels of blood tests- kind of like there’s different levels of cars made by the same parent company. The normal screen offered to your non-AMA, non-high risk mom is what I’d call the Ford level of testing. It looks at different levels of hormones and such in your blood to make risk determinations. If it comes back high risk, you’ll offered the Lincoln level
The Lincoln is more of a genetic test than a screen, but they still call it a screen. It looks in the mother’s blood for fetal genetic material and analyzes it for specific mutations and trisomies/monosomies. In addition, they are also able to determine if there is the presence of Y chromosomes because they’re looking closely in your blood for fetal DNA. If there is, they declare boy. If not, they say female.
Back in 2014, these tests were really only offered to the AMA moms. In 2016, it expanded to include all high risk moms and certain providers. Now, it’s becoming more mainstream to offer it to all moms as the tests become more widely available, but it’s not always offered.
We did the sneakpeak test and found out it's a boy! We both wanted a girl due to already having a son, but we are happy. Just not telling anyone until confirmation from dr. Since the sample could have been contaminated.
I know we are supposed to post gender here but we got out NIPT results and the nurse was staring there reading what we are having and I have held off on finding out since I really want to be surprised and I am proud of myself I did not crack yet! We have two other kids and found out with both of them so just really trying to do something different this time, but not finding out is not in my mature hahaha so I am living vicariously through you all though! Love seeing all the gender posts!!
I originally wanted to have the gender revealed at birth. My SO was going to be the one to find out, because he couldn’t not know. Anyways, ever since I got the blood work done, I kept having dreams, literally EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I finally caved and told my SO that I want to know the sex.
Today, they called and we’re having a baby GIRL! I started crying instantly, just because that’s all my dreams have been about. I’m so happy knowing that Elliott will have a little sister.
I’ve had the gender results in an envelope for 24 hours and haven’t peeked...! I had a cake made and asked them to put either pink or blue frosting inside between the two layers. Hubby and I will cut it tonight ❤️
The woman at the bakery may have accidentally let the gender slip but I don’t know for sure. I was SO bummed yesterday and it has been driving me crazy. But as it gets closer to find out, I’m feeling excited!!
Dr called yesterday - we're having a boy! I stood in front of DD2's closet and it really is a lot of gender neutral stuff in there. I think we're good. I'm getting baby a new high chair and a name quilt; aside from that I think they're going to be all set until well past 3 years.
I am laughing at the "test" in quotations, as if it's not a real thing. Serious LOL to the Ramzi method being as real as a silly little blood "test."
The "test" you speak of pulls actual fetal DNA from the mother's bloodstream. It's the baby's actual real DNA.... so the sex chromosomes found there are going to be conclusive.
I should probably post this on the FFFC but you can lite me up if you’d like.... 🙈 I did the Ramzi Therory (for fun ONLY) and it said I’m having a girl. But the fetal DNA says boy. So obviously, I’m having a boy.

Ok, I’m ready for my tar and feathers... 😂
Don't you mean this means that you're having a girl? We all know which method is accurate here
