@kyashley1227 oh man, I'm so sorry. Make sure you stay on top of the doctors to pay attention to YOUR health as well as baby's. Especially your heart, long term. We will all be thinking of you and sending you good vibes.
I've been REALLY struggling with pelvic pain/discomfort, braxton hicks, leg cramps, headaches, etc. Just normal pregnancy stuff, but it's been making me pretty miserable. I've decided that it's time to start taking it a little easier with work, especially because working on a college campus I end up having to park kind of far away and do a lot of walking. Today I basically decided to take a half day, and I do not regret it. It has been AWESOME. Slept in, let my kid lounge around and took him to school late, went by my favorite bakery, made a target run, took care of the pile up of dishes. And now I'm relaxing on my couch about to work on a couple lectures. Hell freaking yes to a little self-care, and having the the privilege to be able to indulge in it.
@kyashley1227 good luck with everything. Thinking of you!
@professormama sounds like a great and productive day I'm glad you have a flexible schedule and are able to take care of yourself.
I'm so bored of being home on leave. I feel like I've watched everything worth watching, and it's so frustrating to not be able to move around like I want to. My walking is down to a bare minimum since I hobble down the street like a penguin in pain. Today I went to the grocery store across the street and a car almost ran me over. When I screamed because he passed so close behind me and didn't stop he just yelled out the window that I should start f*ing moving my legs. It got too much so I just wobbled home sobbing over a stupid comment from some road rage douche bag. I felt so silly though, and like everyone was just looking at me like why isn't she walking like a normal person. Sorry for the novel, I just think this pregnancy is really starting to get at me.
@honey_suckle awww, that guy sounds like a super douche. I'm hobbling too, and I'm not even having twins (I'm pretty sure I remember that you're having twins). I don't have any very good suggestions to entertain you, but you have my sympathy. Do you like to read? I just finished "Educated" by Tara Westover and I could not put it down, it was incredibly compelling.
@honey_suckle that guy sounds terrible. I’m sorry for a rough day.
I have this terrible headache so I’m hanging out in L&D for now. I keep getting pop ups on my phone that my lab results are in so hopefully everything is normal and I get sprung soon.
@kyashley1227 thinking of you and little Noah today. I hope you’re able to make it another week, but if not I am sure you’re in good hands and it’s for your health and safety.
@honey_suckle I’ve cried from way less, I would have been a mess after that. Some people just have no consideration for others. I’m sorry!
Anyone else wear a Fitbit? Mine is very angry with me over my lack of sleep. Got a little “hint” that I haven’t been active enough the last two days and that could be why I can’t sleep. Nope, definitely isn’t because I have pregsomnia. (Edited to put giant screenshot in spoiler)
@honey_suckle What an asshole. Drivers like that are the worst- I yelled at a guy today who almost pancaked me too, it’s amazing how some people don’t care that they almost hit a person
@honey_suckle it’s not like you’re not obviously pregnant, even in a winter coat. Dude is a horrible person and should be ashamed of himself.
@mrdcle hope that headache goes away and or that all tests show nothing abnormal.
i just poured coffee into this morning’s tea mug because I didn’t want to do extra dishes. I now have a mint teabag floating in my hazelnut coffee 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks guys! I was just feeling so upset about not being able to walk properly anyways, it just felt like the last drop with someone else yelling it at me.
@professormama I'll check up that book! I should maybe just make a little reading list for myself 😊
@lyse01 I definitely mostly feel like I look fat under my winter coat, but either way he should be stopping at the crosswalk like a normal person. Also, maybe you've invented a new coffee flavor?
@thatbaintforbetty I talked to DH on the phone after it happened he said it probably was good he wasn't there because he would have kicked a dent in the car. He's normally the calmest person, but bad drivers makes him mad and protective.
Tests are fine. Low potassium but that’s NBD. She’s sending me home with an Rx for potassium (duh) and some migraine medication if the headache still won’t go away.
We we have a rain storm, flooding, a dog that won’t sleep when it’s a downpour so the hubs slept on the couch to get her quiet.
I got to play in L&D too because of too many Braxton Hicks for too long. Fundal height went from measuring a half week big to 1cm small. Whatever that means, so we get an ultrasound on Saturday to check his size.
@MRDCle glad you and baby are ok. Eat some bananas to help with the potassium and migraine @kyashley1227 prayers for you and baby. @professormama can you ask for a closer parking spot for the rest of your pregnancy. I know for my pelvic pain walking is the worse
Update: Baby girl looked great on ultrasound and is measuring exactly 32 weeks so no worries about growth restrictions
@mrdcle glad it isn't something more serious! @blueberrymomma glad baby is growing well!
I cannot keep my eyes open at my desk. I have another hour of work to go and my blinks are getting longer and longer. The sun is beating in through the blinds onto my back and I'm so content. It feels like cruel punishment to force myself to stay awake.

You guys. They are installing a TUB at my hospital. I am thrilled. Two years ago we were told there was zero chance of being able to labor in a tub and assumed it was still true. (technically it is still true, but only because they haven’t completed the installation.)
less thrilled about the clear fluids diet during labor. Planning on sneaking in some granola bars.
Thinking if you @kyashley1227 and hope all goes well.
@honey_suckle wow. I’d probably be shouting/hobbling after their car after a comment like that. Some people are next level rude.
Had a break down at my doctor appointment today and if there’s no improvement on the sciatic pain in the next 2 weeks then I have to stop working. Fingers crossed that everything my doctor suggested to me today helps. I’m not supposed to do anything at all today and tomorrow which is going to be incredibly difficult. I’m no good at relaxing.
@ysotte maybe you can do stuff like work on a registry, set up amazon prime orders and grocery delivery orders, and catch up on email or thank you notes? Anything that can be done while binging Netflix from the couch, basically.
Check out this super cheesy dessert I made for DH today. I got it out of a parenting magazine I don’t remember subscribing to. Pretty sure it was meant to be made for children, but I just can’t resist a pig! He’s supposed to have legs, but I didn’t have room in the bowl.
@rennie1108 Today I asked my OB about AMAs getting induced early and he said that around these parts that starts at 40, so we’re clear! Although at this stage of the game, shaving a week off doesn’t sound too bad....
@blueberrymomma yay for no IUGR!! And I actually called our parking office and asked about a spot. Nope. I can get a handicap permit, but I’m really uncomfortable doing that. I’m not going to take a parking spot from someone with an actual disability!
@ysotte I hope the docs recommendations actually work for you!
@MRDCle how are you feeling? Any reprieve from the headache yet?
@honey_suckle sure you might feel fat, but this far along, pregnancy is almost always unmistakable. I'm sure people around at the time knew you were pregnant. And yes, legally he should have given you all the time in the world to cross a cross walk. Yield to Pedestrians is a real and legal thing. The likelihood of onlookers feeling sympathetic towards rather than annoyed by a pregnant woman, clearly in pain, is high.
@lilpotatomama Hi! I have a similar device. Not as fancy as a fit bit, but does most of the same things. Today is my first day using it so I'm looking forward to seeing how it does. I've been curious about my own sleep patterns as well. DH bought it so I could track my heart rate during excercise and occasionally my BP. I Iike the "hints" I think they're helpful. Not sure how motivated I would be to get up and walk around after the novelty wears off, but for the next 2 months, this device is going to be my fitness coach. It automatically set me to walk a goal of 8,000 steps. Do you have a steps goal and what is yours, if so?
I’m sorry I posted and ran today y’all. We’re in l&d. Things progressed quickly and we’re being induced. He’ll be here tomorrow! Kind of exciting because tomorrow is SO’s birthday too and Valentine’s Day. Silver lining. I’m in a lot of pain and things are going slow but, we’re okay. Thanks so much for all the prayers. I’m exhausted. I’ll uodate more when I can. 💙
@kyashley1227 I'm so glad for this community that there are several women here to love and support you through this scary time! You are so strong. ❤ Prayers for your little Noah 💝
@lilpotatomama this is how my night turned out I definitely slept for more than 1.5 hrs. It stopped keeping track when I got up to pee unfortunately.
Btw, my watch has an option to turn off the movement reminders in the settings on my phone. Not sure if that was something you were looking for too?
Here’s hoping for a smooth delivery @kyashley1227 ! Good luck and you guys are in my thoughts.
We have a social committee at work and they bought Krispy Kreme doughnuts and got everyone a little box of chocolates for Valentines Day. It’s super cute but I’m just sulking over not being able to have any of it. Currently doughnuts are at the top of my after labor food list.

@lilpotatomama@mighty_montgomery I have a fitbit Charge 2 that tracks steps, sleep, workouts, calories etc...I like it! But agreed the novelty of the "You haven't walked your 250 steps this hour" wears off fairly quickly. I like it because it's pretty good at tracking my sleep and tracking how effective my workouts are (were) even when I didn't hit my 10,000 step goal I would still hit my active minutes and calories burned goals because of an awesome workout.
I had the worst morning and I'm over it. I was near tears coming into the office and telling my closest cubicle mates that I'm in an awful mood hasn't stopped them from chatting with me. Major traffic delays and accidents meant my 25 minute commute was actually 90 minutes and I tried 3 different routes. On top of it all the girls were not cooperating getting ready, as always. I complained to H that I'm getting real tired of doing all the drop off and pick up and getting myself to work in this weather. There's nothing he can do about it. He starts work at 7 and that's when the dayhome opens. I'm not blaming him, I'm just feeling sorry for myself.

@mermaidca traffic is horrendous in my city today too, so I feel you there. That sounds like an awful morning, and I’m sorry people won’t give you your space!
@mermaidca - I am with you today! I don't know what happened but I really HATE today. I am in the worst mood and even little things are bothering me. I feel bad for DH bc nothing he did this morning was right (according to cranky me). I can FEEEEL the tension in my back and its making me hormonal and twitchy. I seriously am battling bettering fighting and crying. I need everyone to stay away from me.

Thanks @lilpotatomama@kosmo86 and @cabearit! Usually I like Valentine's @mrstmoose!! A silly reason to do something special for your loved ones. But not today and not this pregnant. I'm ready to throat punch someone.

@lilpotatomama: I measured 1 week ahead for most of the 3rd trimester and had DD 3 days early.
(Disclaimer: I was put on pitocin after my OB found me 4cm dilated at my 39w checkup. So I’m pretty sure--but not 100% sure--I would have gone early on my own. [The pitocin was because I had consistently high BPs in the office and he couldn’t be medically certain it was just white coat hypertension.])
