Just wondering how @harrierwife and @srscott3 are doing? Hope you ladies are just busy from the holidays. But I miss you around this joint.

This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to have a Graco Lauren crib? We lost the hardware when we moved and can't find the right size barrel nut. I looked at the manual online and it doesn't say what size the barrel nuts are of course. The manufacturer they used is out of business and the new one won't send replacement hardware for the cribs they didn't manufacture for safety reasons. We ordered a universal crib kit, but the barrel nuts were too small. I'm just trying to figure out what size they are!
I went shopping today with my parents for maternity clothes. I don’t know why but maternity clothes are just so hard and depressing to buy. I don’t feel that excited by most of the options and it just reminds me how much larger I feel. I wish it could be more positive of an experience and that I didn’t let myself feel so self-conscious about getting bigger.
@chrssyms I completely understand how you feel. I went maternity shopping two weeks ago and it was really stressful and made me feel insecure. I don’t enjoy clothes shopping anyway, but trying to fit my changing body is even harder.
My current dilemma: we are replacing the non-functional 1980s dishwasher in our house. Should I go with the workhorse Bosch or get the fancy double-drawer Fisher and Paykel? We got kitchen money as a Christmas gift so the price isn’t an issue. Do any STM think having a second drawer that could be just baby gear would be helpful? I know I’m overthinking it, but I’m totally overwhelmed.
@TJtheGoat Fisher & Paykel! I upgraded to one a year ago and it has been amazing! It is so quiet, efficient, solidly built and because the two drawers run independently, you can run one and fill the other -- never any dishes on the countertop waiting to go in. You can also customize the layout in each of them for your needs. The only new thing is that it takes only powder or tablet detergent, but I was able to find a great eco-friendly powder one that I like.
Fwiw, I had a Bosch for the first 6 months of last year in a rental and I hated it. It beeped incessantly at the end of each cycle until you opened the door. There was no way to turn it off. I'm not sure if it's the same on all models but that was enough to turn me off the brand.
So DS was laying on my stomach listening for the baby. He sits up and says "I hear something!" Me: yea? Think it was the baby? DS: no poop. Me: did you just say poop? DS: yep! M: that is probably legit.
Yesterday we stopped to visit friends on the way home and they have a 2.5 year old girl. She came up to me with something in her hand saying "I'm gonna make a poopy!"
Apparently her dad taught her that her play dough ponies get poop shoved in their butts to push out and make hair. Some men seriously never grow up.
Thanks for the tag and check in @meatballs37 ❤️ Definitely just busy from the holidays! Also, we’ve been in Canada for the past 10 days, so I haven’t been on my phone much at all since I refuse to pay roaming/data charges here. Going home tomorrow though! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far!
I’m really getting sick of the mono-di mom making gushy one off posts about her twins. She’s made three now and seeing her constant posts about her specific mono di twins has been really triggering for me. Especially since she just likes to come in and post her intro, ultrasound, and gender all separately and then nothing else. I just want to scream, I don’t care!

@meatballs37 I'm very sorry you have to deal with that. I swear some people are deliberately pulling this crap to start some shit (Sorry about the potty language lol)
So worth the warning I’m going to get. I can’t stand people who come in here and think “this is the internet I can say whatever I want” without any regard to anyone else.
People like her don’t understand loss, how to not make something all about themselves, or the word community. I can spot a “taker” rather than a “giver” from a mile away these days.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I've had a rough day and once she tagged me and brought me back in, it was all over. Ugh. Why do people think this shit is ok?

Warning....totally worth it, although next time I’ll use some different language if I had known they’d give me a warning for those words I would’ve let the F’s fly 🤣
