Re: Nov 2018 FET

  • @leilee101 Best of luck with your appointment today!! I'm back in on Friday for a lining check, lining is the one stage of all this I've never actually had a problem with - but that just makes me nervous that a problem will rear it's head this time. I'm hoping all will be well they'll give me a transfer date on Friday.
@suzycupcake I'm still hanging in here with ye all!! I hate this waiting part - and it doesn't help that it's followed by an even worse waiting part :/
According to our spreadsheet there should be still a few of us - plus a few newbies joined in last week - all the ladies waiting to be impregnated raise their hands :) !!
@murph145 Congrats on being PUPO!!!! Sounds like you've had a relaxing evening. So your mission now - should you choose to accept it - is to tactfully stop your wife from peeing on things for the next few days :)

Can I ask - is anyone else seeing a counsellor during this stage? My clinic offers counselling as part of the package and while I've taken it sporadically in the past I decided to go once a week for the next month. I really found my transfer cycle incredibly stressful last month and I'm trying everything to reduce stress this time - so she put me on a complete de-stress "self-care" plan and I'm being very careful to stick to it. Firstly I'm trying to identify when I'm getting upset/stressed. I found last month that from the moment I started taking oestrogen I felt very down - almost to the point of depression. I've been feeling kinda the same over the last week so I'm trying to just acknowledge it and basically do anything that will lift my spirits (for some reason* watching clips of Hugh Jackman seems to really help!). Also I'm just so incredibly tired - like stupidly, painfully tired. I can't tell if that rooted in emotion or if it's the oestrogen or what, but I'm finding it so hard to get out of bed in the morning. Anyone else feeling really fatigued? I guess emotional tiredness is to be expected at this stage...

*ok - that reason is pretty obvious mmmmmmmmmmm

  • @roisis *raises hand* ... I saw a therapist when we first got our diagnosis and needed to come to terms with needed to use a donor and all the stress surrounding that. It was extremely helpful, and good to know she is always available and knows my story if things get too overwhelming. I always find that videos of baby animals lifts my spirits lol, for a different reason than Hugh Jackman but I'm gonna give that one a shot sometime ;)

Lining check went ok.. I am up to 6.1. So relieved that it's at least going up (up from 4.2 last Thursday) but a little bummed that I will probably be pushing December at this point. My clinic likes to see at least 7 (I was 7.1 last transfer and *TW* that was a success), so I wonder if they will have me come back in this weekend or wait until Monday.

  • @babyvibes Thanks for being understanding and for responding so quickly <3 Congratulations on your result - and Happy Birthday !!

  • Heys guys so had a lil scare today. I started spotting. I know it can be common in early pregnancy but it still doesn’t make it any less scary. I guess what made it worse was it was red and I was super crampy , like AF cramps.  Since i’ll only be 5 weeks tomorrow it’s too early for an U/S so I’ll be going in for blood work in the morning I guess to check my progesterone, estrogen and a beta test.
  • @ndz2018 I don't know much about all this stuff but wishing you the best and that everything will be perfectly fine!!  I know the Dr told us the same thing that spotting and cramping are both possible.  So hopefully that's just part of the process.

Hi all - beta came back. Not great news. Very, very low for 13dp5dt. Was basically told to prepare for the worst. I'm pretty numb right now. Have to go back on Friday and I guess we'll know more either way but obviously we know what the outcome will probably be. Might take a break from these boards until after the holidays when we jump back into everything. Thanks for being there everyone <3

@ndz2018 your levels are so amazing, hold on to that and stay positive. As you know/mentioned it's absolutely common. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow girl but it's going to be okay!
  • @murph145 Thank you so much! I had been warned that this may happen as well. Let’s hope it’s exactly what they say.

@ellemarie7 I’m so sorry, this process sucks sometimes! If you need to chat I’m a PM away. Thank you so much for your kind words! They are appreciated my friend. Be kind to yourself and take all the time you need.

Hello everyone. My beta came in today and was super low. It's not official negative, but looks like a chemical pregnancy :( The worst thing is that I'm still taking all meds until Monday, that's when the official negative will be announced I guess.
@ndz2018 Stay positive, since it's normal symptoms for early pregnancies
@ellemarie7 I guess we are going on the second round about the same time, I also want to jump right in on next cycle.

  • @dukie001 I’m sorry you’re going through this too. It’s so cruel. Thinking of you ❤️

    @ndz2018 thank you ❤️
  • @ellemarie7 Hang on there girl <3 I know it feels unfair and it sucks...but it is what it is. And we got to stay strong. By the way, I'm talking this brave only because I had this wonderful bottle of wine standing in front of me (half empty already lol).
  • Hey all! I had my FET today and have officially started my TWW. GL to all you ladies!
  • @dukie001 & @ellemarie7 I'm so sorry.

@ndz2018 good luck tomorrow. Like everyone had said, splitting is a stressful, but fairly normal early pregnancy occurrence. Keep us posted!
  • @dukie001 & @ellemarie7 Guys I'm so so sorry. This process can just utterly suck sometimes.

@ndz2018 Just echoing that spotting is really scary - but it is so so common in early pregnancy. I'm glad you've got an early appointment - try not to worry <3

  • @ellemarie7 and @dukie001 so sorry to come on here and see this news ladies. After my CP, everyone kept telling me how high the odds are of having a take home baby after a CP. it was no consolation to me at the time but helped a little bit later down the line. Thinking of you both ❤️

@ndz2018 yes spotting is very common but also very scary. It is probably just your little bean snuggling in. Please keep us posted - and take it easy!
  • @ndz2018 that's great news!  Glad it seems all is well!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and best wishes to you all.

My wife is just taking things easy.   7 more long days until our first blood / beta test.   She's not going to even pee on a stick she's just going to wait it out until the blood test and let the dr tell us.   Im nervous and she's completely fine.  Makes me wonder who the "girl" is in this relationship haha!

Happy late Thanksgiving all, been absent this last week because I was trying to get all my work done so I could actually relax and enjoy the holidays. I think I've got a case of bronchitis sneaking up on me, which sounds about right, given my FET is on Wednesday 😬

Starting the PIO with ethyl oleate today. Has anyone done this, in lieu of Sesame oil? I developed a sensitivity and my insurance actually approved this compound (though it's still almost $300 for 3 vials, instead of $30), so I decided to give it a go ... At this point, it's just a couple hundred more dollars on the burn pile.

Hoping everyone is doing well and hope to see some great betas soon! Congrats @ndz2018 ... Glad it was just a precaution and things are going so well! :)

  • Hello everyone

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I've been lurking a few weeks now but love how supportive this group is to everyone during this difficult journey.  I hope its not too late to join:). We have been extremely nervous and we haven't shared anything with anyone yet.  It was hard yesterday during Thanksgiving dinner but have decided to share with family when we get into a safe zone.
    Background
    - I'm 4:)  and DH 50
    - FET 11/6 (2 non PGS day 5 or 6). I cheated at 6dp5dt and got BFP on CB digital
    - 1st Beta: 993 (11/20)
    - 2nd Beta and US: ??? 11/27
    - 2 miscarriages (1CP and 1-10weeks) of natural pregnancies, 2 FET transfer (BFNs).

Continuous prayers and thoughts for everyone on this board.
  • *lurking*
Glad to know that everything is going well for you @ndz2018! I'm still spotting and yes it us normal but I'm too scared to resume intercourse because of that. FX for you!
  • Hi Everyone, sorry I have even a bit MIA but I have been reading keeping up with you guys.
Hope all you Americans had a great Thanksgiving, we are just getting into summer here yay!
I had my first FET on Tuesday, seems strange to think there is a possibly a tiny human in there. First blood test on Fri 30th, husband is so keen on doing an early hpt but I’m trying to convince him to wait.
They gave us a photo of the embryo which is really cool.

Is anyone else on progesterone pessaries? Am not liking these at all, but you do what you gotta do.

@ndz2018 congratulations! So excited for you
@teenad82 congratulations on PUPO, the TTW is tough, I wish you all the best
  • @mico2019
Congrats on the lovely beta! How many dpt was that?

    @ndz2018
I was too freaked out to enjoy 'woohooing' the entire pregnancy -- and honestly, aside from a period in the 2nd trimester, I felt too tired and uncomfortable. I always got some spotting after intercourse so that freaked me out and I decided I'd rather not get freaked out.  /shrug  Whatever works for you, but it is ok once the doctor gives you all the clear. I'm just paranoid.

  • Hi ladies; Happy Thanksgiving!!! Still hanging out over here doing my Estrogen shots. Another one on Saturday and then PIO starts Sunday. Lining check Monday and if all looks good, transfer will still be 11/30. I don't feel like there are any updates really. Hey, by any chance, is anyone here in the midst of the foster to adopt process, or anything like that?

  • @mbradfo2 -  I was 19 or 20 DPO. Clinic waits two weeks after transfer for beta, which felt like eternity.
@secret-snowdog - HA! That is serious will power. I was super anxious and caved at 6dp5dt. How long did your office require bedrest?
@suzycupcake - Starting PIO is a good sign that everything is on tract for 11/30.

  • Hi ladies, I’m officially out for November. My lining is stuck at a 6 and they want to cancel my cycle. I’m so upset.. waiting for a call back from the doctor now to see if there is anything we can do.. add patches or delestrogen IM. I’m only on estrace now (vaginally and orally) but it’s been like 3 weeks. My dose was increased last week but apparently that wasn’t good enough.

Im especially annoyed because at the appointment prior to starting this cycle, I told my doctor I don’t think I respond well to estrace can we try something else (my lining last FET was only 7.1). he said that since I’m thin that is normal. That was his friggin explanation. I wish I pushed more then, I just assumed he knew what he was talking about.
  • I'm so sorry @leilee101, that really really sucks. That is a crappy explanation. Hopefully some shots can be added and it won't have to be cancelled. I've actually asked my RE to email the science of when he says something that seems off. Not sure how gladly he does it, but he does it.

  • The on call dr said she can add patches but she highly recommend cancelling. She said it would likely not even work and too much estrogen also might create a “toxic environment” which does not sound good. We only have one embryo left so I don’t want to chance it, I would rather call it and start over fresh. Total bummer!
  • My RE saw that I had some lining issues during IUI because my previous RE kept meticulous notes. So he has me on Delestrogen injections for FET. Not sure what is happening yet until Monday, but hopefully a change next time around will work for you. There are other ladies who have mentioned success with some kind of a stim protocol. Good call on not wanting to risk it! I'd probably wanna do the same thing if I were in your shoes. I know waiting for AF will seem like forever, but she will come and you'll be right back on the FET wagon in no time. Hang in there!
