@murph145 - Good for her! My husband doesn't want me to, but it's really not up to him I can't find a benefit to doing it. On the negative side, I've got a 260-mi roundtrip for my Beta (I really flippin' hate that) so I can't imagine taking that drive, knowing it'll be negative. @MamaK225 Thanks! I couldn't imagine driving that far! You are a trooper! Luckily for us ours is like 20 minutes away and 1 of the top clinics in So Cal so we kinda lucked out. I will be sending you positive thoughts and prayers....
I think I was more stressed out than my wife over this, luckily she had a real laid back attitude the entire time. Also kinda a plus she got laid off right before we started this entire process. I am not sure how she would have been able to do all this while working and being stressed.
Our next blood / beta test will be Saturday and hopefully it will have doubled.
@murph145 - For most on here, there isn't much travel involved, just series of appointments within an hour's distance. After all of the treatments, I told my doc he's got enough capital to invest in an office in the town I live in Hoping you guys get that doubled beta (or better) on Saturday!

Thanks! she goes back Saturday morning for her next blood test so I guess we wait until then to confirm things are good... Seems like their is a bunch of "hurry up and wait" with IVF. Such a process, never knew until we went through this. Hats off to everyone that has to do experience this, definitely makes me appreciate the miracle of life that much more!

Hi ladies I’m late to the party here! I had my FET on 11/26, they checked my protesterone/estrogen on 11/28 and both were good. So now I just waitttt until next week for my beta. I’m feeling tired and nauseous (coffee is grossing me out usually I love it) so I’m hoping those are good signs! I’m on the extrace and pio injections (my butt is killing )

Hi @firstivfoct2018 welcome Sorry you've been in pain with PIO. Are you sticking the needle in the upper outer quadrant in the ventrogluteal area? That's where I read to do them and I have barely felt any pain. There's a bone area called the iliac crest that connects the lower back to your butt. If you feel for that and make sure you're in the outer quadrant, track a few centimeters below that crest and that is where you can stick them. Draw an imaginary line on the top of your butt crack and then cut that line in half, the upper outer quadrant is the area. When I researched this, I learned some ladies think they should be sticking it in their butt cheek but it's not the correct area. Apparently that area hurts.
You probably know this. Saying it in case you don't and can possibly have pain free shots.

Thanks Suzy. My husband did inject into the cheek this first time and it was agony the next day. I recently got circled by the nurse so were in the right spot, I’m still just so sore the next day always.
Hmm, this might sound really creepy but I don't stab myself with the needle. I poke it in and then allow my skin to take it in and press gently. It's really important that I completely relax all of my muscles on that side because any contraction, then it will be sore the next day. That happened to me one time. Lol I don't let my husband do mine at all because he has tourettes, the tic kind. All I could imagine is him having a twitch with the needle in me, shrieeeeeeek!
The first couple of weeks, I was giving myself Estrogen shots and now I'm doing both. The ritual of candles, relaxing music, unicorn bandaids, an ice pack, heating pad, pineapple socks and whatever else made me happy really helped. Last night was the first time I drew and stuck it in without all of the other stuff. Are you going to test at home before your beta?

I've got a pretty busy day scheduled: My friend is doing acupuncture this morning and then I'm off to my clinic for a counselling session. My counsellor only works Fridays so I booked this before knowing my transfer date and I thought it good to keep it. I then have an hour to kill before going back to the clinic but there's a huge and wonderful bookstore around the corner so I plan to have a chilled-out hour there (while discreetly filling my bladder!) and then meet DH and go for transfer. I'm hoping to be a peaceful bundle of zen when I get there! Then home to watch 'The Late Late Toy Show' which is an Irish pre-Christmas tradition that just happens to be on telly tonight!!

@roisis - that sounds like a perfectly relaxed day for your transfer ... FX and sticky dust to you! And, unfortunately, I live perfectly in the middle of TONS of great RE facilities. Perfectly 2 hours from any of them. Very frustrating, but it is what it is ... another reason I refuse to drive anything other than a hybrid @suzycupcake - your ritual sounds very relaxing. Mine is just draw, wipe, stab, push, wipe. Cold and clinical. I'm just thankful with the PIO ethyl oleate I can use the much smaller needle so it's a less intimidating venture. My husband does a majority of them, but I do some if need-be. @teenad82 - how are you feeling/doing? @roisis good luck! I did laser acupuncture before and after my transfer because my clinic offered it and why not. What’s pupo? @suzycupcake I love your ritual. My husband kind of just stabs it in while I try to breathe lol. I do heat before and after.
i think I’m not going to test at home too nervous!!! But I’m hopeful because I’m already have morning sickness and hate coffee suddenly which are kind of pregnancy symptoms for me so fingers crossed!!

I've been dealing with this cough still and it's starting to drive me nuts. Every now and then I am feeling very short, stabby pains close to my right ovary. @suzycupcake It was a good sign for me. Another long time bump girl on here reassured me of the same thing when it happened to me. Everyone is different. There are girls that have no signs at all. A few days after, I also got pulling / stretching sensations.

I didn't have any symptoms with my first (successful) transfer, so I have no reason to think this time will be any different. However, we've been suchs inside all day because of weather and I have been symptom-spotting for the last 6-7 hours when I started getting some mild cramping on the right side of my uterus. On top of that, my temp has been consistently up about 0.8*F all day (though I don't feel hot nor cold and my temp has already been on the very low side), I've been grossly gassy (progesterone always makes me bloated, but no gas), and I've started craving clean, whole foods (the only craving I could say I've ever had) ... So I'm going to refrain from POAS, but I've still got FX. I mean, it's only 3.5dp5dt, it would be crazy to think things would be going on this early.

My wife didn't have any sensations either for the first 9 days after the transfer, she said she felt 100% normal. She's now 11 days and feeling some mild cramping but she didn't experience anything before so as MamaK225 said everyone experiences it differently I guess. I do hope all you ladies do great! Its good to read the updates.
As for me and my wife.....
She had her 2nd beta today which is 2 days after her first (11 days post implantation) her first was 425 and they wanted it to go up at least 70% and today it was 1037. So they were excited and so are we. What's going to be weird is now waiting until the first US which isn't until Dec 14th. They said we were good and just beto taking estrogen pills and PIO shots at night and we will be fine. Here's to the next 14 days.....

@suzycupcake My clinic doesn't offer valium but I had huge difficulty with my first transfer so now I always ask for valium (actually had a higher does this time which REALLY hit the spot ). Sounds like you had a eventful trip home! And yeah - all parts of IVF involve waiting - but the TWW does feel like it should somehow be 'special'. If the unicorn shows up - do let us know!!!
Regarding the colds/coughs - I also remember a veteran saying to me that our bodies can actually drop our immune system slightly - to prevent the body rejecting the embryo - which can make us more prone to getting a sniffle shortly after transfer. I'm not sure how true this is - but I've seen many people say they've had a bug afterwards - so anecdotally it's quite comforting!!
@teenad82@mamak225@firstivfoct2018 I have seen so many people here have all combinations of symptoms/no symptoms resulting in positive and negative results! It's amazing - I just don't think we can trust our own bodies at this point. I'm already having mild cramps (or 'crimpies' as I like to call them) but I know they're from the crinone so I'm not attributing them as a symptom. I'll be looking out for food cravings in a week or so though (food cravings are kinda fun - I predict I'll want ALL THE CHOCOLATE.... it's for the baby.... Ahhh - the first few days of TWW while I'm still happy and the stress hasn't kicked in yet.....

Ooo - and my sister gave me an advent calendar of Lindor by Lindt chocolates (not sure if you have these in the US - but they are seriously yummy!) - so rather than me having one a day for actual advent, myself and DH are having one each per day for the 11 days wait

All my ladies still in there TWW feeling colds, food aversions, or just icky could be a good sign!! The whole 9 day wait I felt Like I was Coming down with either a stomach bug or some awful cold AND I had A 99.3 fever the first few days nothing to worry me just took some Tylenol and felt better . I also started cramping (pulling/ twinges) around 2dp5dt. thats just me, other women feel absolutely nothing. Point is everyone is different. I’m rooting for you all!!!
@roisis ALL THE CHOCOLATE!! YAAASSS! Friday I was Craving apples and caramel so I Specifically went to the food store to get apples and caramel. I was so happy Friday night eating them I even shared some with DH... wellll the next day I went to go have some more and MH decided he wanted to use practically the whole tub of caramel on his ice cream while i slept 😡. I said To him “ WHEN A PREGNANT WOMAN HAS A CRAVING YOU DO NOT TOUCH HER FOOD , EVER!!!” he ran right out to get me some more.

I think I was more stressed out than my wife over this, luckily she had a real laid back attitude the entire time. Also kinda a plus she got laid off right before we started this entire process. I am not sure how she would have been able to do all this while working and being stressed.
Our next blood / beta test will be Saturday and hopefully it will have doubled.

Thanks! she goes back Saturday morning for her next blood test so I guess we wait until then to confirm things are good... Seems like their is a bunch of "hurry up and wait" with IVF. Such a process, never knew until we went through this. Hats off to everyone that has to do experience this, definitely makes me appreciate the miracle of life that much more!

The first couple of weeks, I was giving myself Estrogen shots and now I'm doing both. The ritual of candles, relaxing music, unicorn bandaids, an ice pack, heating pad, pineapple socks and whatever else made me happy really helped. Last night was the first time I drew and stuck it in without all of the other stuff. Are you going to test at home before your beta?

I've got a pretty busy day scheduled: My friend is doing acupuncture this morning and then I'm off to my clinic for a counselling session. My counsellor only works Fridays so I booked this before knowing my transfer date and I thought it good to keep it. I then have an hour to kill before going back to the clinic but there's a huge and wonderful bookstore around the corner so I plan to have a chilled-out hour there (while discreetly filling my bladder!) and then meet DH and go for transfer. I'm hoping to be a peaceful bundle of zen when I get there!
Then home to watch 'The Late Late Toy Show' which is an Irish pre-Christmas tradition that just happens to be on telly tonight!!

@suzycupcake - your ritual sounds very relaxing. Mine is just draw, wipe, stab, push, wipe. Cold and clinical. I'm just thankful with the PIO ethyl oleate I can use the much smaller needle so it's a less intimidating venture. My husband does a majority of them, but I do some if need-be.

As for me and my wife.....
She had her 2nd beta today which is 2 days after her first (11 days post implantation) her first was 425 and they wanted it to go up at least 70% and today it was 1037. So they were excited and so are we. What's going to be weird is now waiting until the first US which isn't until Dec 14th. They said we were good and just beto taking estrogen pills and PIO shots at night and we will be fine. Here's to the next 14 days.....

Regarding the colds/coughs - I also remember a veteran saying to me that our bodies can actually drop our immune system slightly - to prevent the body rejecting the embryo - which can make us more prone to getting a sniffle shortly after transfer. I'm not sure how true this is - but I've seen many people say they've had a bug afterwards - so anecdotally it's quite comforting!!
@teenad82 @mamak225@firstivfoct2018 I have seen so many people here have all combinations of symptoms/no symptoms resulting in positive and negative results! It's amazing - I just don't think we can trust our own bodies at this point. I'm already having mild cramps (or 'crimpies' as I like to call them) but I know they're from the crinone so I'm not attributing them as a symptom. I'll be looking out for food cravings in a week or so though (food cravings are kinda fun - I predict I'll want ALL THE CHOCOLATE.... it's for the baby....
Ahhh - the first few days of TWW while I'm still happy and the stress hasn't kicked in yet.....

Specifically went to the food store to get apples and caramel. I was so happy Friday night eating them I even shared some with DH... wellll the next day I went to go have some more and MH decided he wanted to use practically the whole tub of caramel on his ice cream while i slept 😡. I said To him “ WHEN A PREGNANT WOMAN HAS A CRAVING YOU DO NOT TOUCH HER FOOD , EVER!!!”
