Hi Ladies! Just wanted to introduce myself - I'm Ashley from NC and expecting my second little one at the end of July! Excited and terrified to go from one to two kiddos!
Although my EDD is 8/1/2019, I'd like to join you ladies. My first came at 37w5d, so I doubt I'll make it to August!
I'm Heidi, mom to a 26 month old daughter born September 2016. My husband and I have been married for about 5.5 years. We've been TTC for #2 for 18 months and I got a surprise, very early BFP on Saturday! We are thrilled, but very cautious at the moment. So happy to be here!
I have two boys who are almost 2 and almost 4 so I'm still a part of my FB groups from my Jan15 and Dec16 BMBs.
It's still INSANELY early (3+4) so I'm trying my best to simultaneously have good thoughts but not get too excited (I've had a few chem pregnancies before).
I'm trying to figure out how to tell DH when he gets home from work but it will be even more torture because I'll have to wait until the boys go to bed too. I'm also going nuts (haha, it's been, like, an hour) not calling my midwife yet. She only takes one patient per due date month and I cannot fathom having a kid with anyone else - but she's not a morning person and is very open about not calling her before 10 unless it's an emergency
I'm also apprehensive about telling my BIL (DH's bro) and SIL (his wife but also my BFF from college). They've always told everyone that they don't want kids and she seemed pretty annoyed when she found out about our #2. Well, we recently found out that the truth is they would love to have kids but can't. Not sure how to handle that one. I'm thinking nonchalant text?
Anyway, those are all of the things on my mind right now! I AM SO EXCITED to be here and to get to know all of you lovely ladies in the next few months!!!
OMG so excited to be here. I'm brand new to The Bump and they made me wait before I could post. It was torture!
Hubs and I were told we couldn't have kids. Fertility treatment and adoption weren't in the cards for us, so we just went with it and created a good life with no children. Read: lots of booze, friends and travel. After 5 YEARS of just going with the flow, I saw "pregnant" for the FIRST TIME EVER last week and lost my shit (some good, some bad). It's a miracle it happened at all and we're still wrapping our heads around it. With my luck, I'm deathly afraid we'll adjust to the upcoming new normal only to have the dream of parenting get taken away again. I just keep reassuring myself that I know I'll have a great life with or without a child.
Current due date is July 15th, so I'm 6w1d today. Baby and I could share a birthday if he/she waits a little bit!
@brookert615 Thank you so much! I'm touched that you found me here. I'm so sorry to see you back on the WTO boards over there. FX that you get some easy, good news very, very soon!!!
lurking*** @sa0012 a nonchalant text is NOT the way to tell her. A text is fine, but please let her know that you understand this may be hard/painful for her and your telling her this way so she has the opportunity to process her feelings.

Hello! I’m coming in to join you ladies. I’m a mom to two little girls. One will be four in February and the younger will be two in January. We have been TTC a third since February. EDD: July 30
*TW: we had chemical pregnancies in July, September, and October, so I join very cautiously, but trying to stay positive*
Hello! My husband and I are both 32. This is our first... I believe I'm 7 weeks. I have my first appt tomorrow. It's both exciting and scary... Nice to have this group to chat with!

So happy to see an "older" couple with their first! I'm 33 and hubs is 34. Congrats!!
Hi! My name is Erin, and I'm from CT. I am a high school teacher. My husband and I have been married for a little over two years, and together for five. My husband and I have been TTC for about 3 months. I believe my due date is July 24th, and I am about 4 weeks 6 days along. My first ultrasound is on December 11th (the 5 year anniversary of our first date!). We have no other children. This will be our first!
I am so incredibly nervous that something will go wrong. Is this normal? Will the anxiety go away? I am so afraid of losing this little one.
@wabash15 Thank you so much for that insight. You're completely right. I was only thinking about how showing my excitement could be painful but there is no doubt that I need to actually address her feelings at the same time and make sure she knows that I care. I'm so glad I posted about this first. Sincerely, thank you.
@knottie0f234c784422e10a Welcome! Congratulations on your first and big milestones with YH. From my experience, the anxiety never goes away. I don't want to scare you even more! I think it's safe to say that the level of anxiety fluctuates but there will always, ALWAYS be something to worry about. You have to consciously decide to focus on positive things you can control. Just wait until they're born and your heart is walking around in the world outside of your body! Oh, the worries!!! Just try to kick back and enjoy as much as possible
knottie0f234c784422e10a the fear of something going wrong hit me HARD today. Like a ton of bricks! I feel you, but I keep telling myself all I can do is my best and trust that if it's meant to be, I'll meet my little bundle of joy in July. In the meantime, I'll worry and fret and fall more and more in love!
For the STM+, any advice for us FTMs in these early weeks? Anything you wish you'd done differently? Anything that was a lifesaver during your first pregnancy?
@cindler hello and welcome!!!! We have a thread going for STM+ advice for FTM, I encourage you to lurk around and check it out, there may be some helpful advice there. ☺️

Hi Mommas!! How Exciting! I am so excited to be a part of this group. **TW: I am 28 and my DH and I tried for 17mos to get pregnant, I have Stage 4 Endometriosis. I found out I was pregnant for the very first time in Sept. Unfortunately, I had a MC at 7wk4d. We have been seeing an amazing fertility specialist who calmed my nerves after and said we could start trying right away...well, we did! and here we are. I didn't get my period after my MC so I am not positive how far along I am but best guest is 7wk2d - I think I got pregnant 2 weeks after my MC. Anxious for this week to be over, so I can get passed the 7wk4d marker...* Anyways, we live in Calgary, AB and have a wonderful and silly goldendoodle. We're so excited but trying to stay cautious because the heartbreak from the MC was terrible. We havent told anyone about this pregnancy yet, trying to hold off until at least my first ultrasound on Dec 3rd. I think we may tell our parents, because they're worried about me, and then share the news at the 12 week mark. As of now, we think our EDD is July 8, 2019 but hoping the ultrasound will confirm. I'll be sure to post an update once we get there. In the meantime, just trying to take it day by day and stay positive!
Hi Ladies! Possibly bringing up the caboose here! I got my BFP on Monday and based on when I think I ovulated I have an EDD of either 7/31 or 8/1. I have 2 beautiful little ones at home with me, DD will be 5 next week and DS is 2.5.
*trigger warning* Ive had a pretty rough year. After 2 easy and pretty uneventful pregnancies I had 3 losses this past year. 1 CP and 2 MMC. I was temporarily part of the October 18 and January 19 BMBs before I had to depart early. Hoping this bean decides to stick around and this can be a longer journey with you all!
we literally just moved across the country so I’m on the hunt for a good OB who can get me in early considering my last years history. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 9 months!
@olivemomma I thing I’m bringing up the rear with you.
I was sure that I felt AF coming after a BFN on 13DPO Monday. I expected AF today but hadn’t had a temp drop, so I thought I’d better test before going crazy with the wine tomorrow. Got my BFP, so I guess no wine for me tomorrow! Very excited to join you ladies (and still in total disbelief)!
Hello everyone, I'm due with baby #3 on July 20th. I have a four year old daughter and 2 year old son. I just turned 35, live in Chicago, work full time as an event planner, and am currently shopping for a car with a third row
Baby J #2 due 11.12.16 Sydney Elizabeth born 9.24.14
Hi all, I found out on my birthday that I'm pregnant. We are thrilled. I'm a mom to a 7 year old son & 4 year old daughter. This baby will probably complete our family. I'm looking forward to interacting with you all.
Hey ladies! Sorry I am late to the game. My name is Robyn, and I am 29 (almost 30) and expecting my first baby! My EDD is 7/8/19, and our first u/s is on Monday. I am super excited, but also a little nervous. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve been super sick since the six week mark. No vomiting yet, but it’s mostly out of my sheer will not to. I am currently drinking lots of ginger ale and using ginger candies, they seem to help some. I just tried unisom and B6 for the first time last night, and have been less nauseous today, but feel exhausted. I am a therapist, so I am desperately trying to find a way to manage this extreme nausea while constantly interacting with clients. Hopefully things will be better in the second trimester. Anyways, I am excited to meet all of you through The Bump Community and to share in this journey together!
Hello! I'm Amber. Me and my husband have been married for 6 1/2 years. We have a four year old and almost two year old. Both girls. I'm about 7 weeks. Starting to get excited for baby number 3, though I have some fears with this one. My last was an emergency c-section. Really hoping for a VBAC this time!
Hello! My name is Kim - my hubby of 3 years (but partner in crime for 6 total) and I are expecting our first child at the end of July. I'm 32, and DH is 37. We have been trying for several months after stopping birth control and are SUPER EXCITED! It was really hard not to tell everyone at Thanksgiving, but it's only 4-5ish weeks. We will announce to BBF and close family during Christmas, and wait until later to tell everyone else.
Hi there! Thrilled to be here! I am 7.5 weeks pregnant, and live in Canada. Let the adventure begin! Does anyone know how to change the avator/profile pic?
Hi Everyone, My name is Karly and I'm a first timer. We werent trying or planning to get pregnant but a miscommunication in my birth control refill caused it to come late. Fastforward a few weeks and here we are! After some initial apprehension and a lot of soul searching I'm very happy with our decision to become a family. The timing couldn't be worse as we are moving from Indiana to Montana at the end of the year for me to start a new job, but we are taking it one day at a time.
Hi ladies! I'm currently 4+3 with #2 and have an estimated due date of 7/30. H and I had a bit of a rough time TTC on our first go around, but now have a delightful 15 month old son thanks to IVF. We were also fortunate in that we were able to freeze several embryos.
TW We decided to TFAS in September, but that FET sadly ended in a CP. End TW
We did another FET on Nov 12 which brings us to where we are now! So far our betas are looking good, and I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. I wasn't super involved in my last BMB, but I'm hoping to be a better participant this time around. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Hi everyone! My name is Carmen, I’m a first timer from Bundaberg, Australia. Super excited to be here, much earlier than expected! I had my implanon removed 8w2d ago, and had my first scan 11/22 and am currently 8w1d! This Bub seems very eager to enter the world I didn’t really believe it until I seen that little heartbeat on the screen, I literally feel no different except for my boobs being a little tender. Been with my partner for 3years, engaged for 1year. Sometimes I think he is more excited about this Bub than I am! It’s super adorable. Looking forward to getting to know you all, anybody else from Australia here?
