Alright ladies I’m gonna hop over to December FET group but will keep lurking here to check in on those who are waiting for your transfers and results! Wishing all of you the best of luck!
Omg @ndz2018 congrats! @suzycupcake PIO and estrace atm. I didn't test yet, too scared. Maybe I'll try again Thursday at 10dpt... that seems safe. What day should it for sure show positive?
Hello Ladies! I'm new here. I'm 35 and DH is 39, TTC since 2013. This year we finally got through IVF and I had my first FET on Monday. For the first two days was very nervous and doubtful. That when I found this forum and really wanted to share and find support, but as you all know it won't let newbies post anything. So, on Friday I couldn't help myself and I tested with HPT with negative result. Then I kind of talked myself out of all the negativity and now cool as a cucumber...well trying to be...and waiting until my beta day.
I’ll show you how. Whichever paragraph you want in a spoiler, make sure there is a space between paragraphs. Click anywhere in that paragraph. Then you click the little paragraph icon above and click spoiler. You’ll see a gray box around what you typed. Then you just hit post reply. Here is picture of it in spoiler.

Hello all, I am probably out of place here being a husband haha but I have been reading through these forums and lots of helpful info for sure.
My wife's first FET is scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday morning, shes pretty calm and cool about it. I feel like I am more worried and nervous than her (which I guess is a good thing so she can relax). This has been a pretty long and expensive process to say the least..... My wife is 38 (39 next month) and I am 40. Neither of us had any reproductive issues other than I suppose age and timing. It's been nerve wracking to say the least... We had 14 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilize naturally, 4 make it to day 5/6 and then we did genetic testing and we were left with only 1 4AA genetically good embryo and 1 4AA Mosaic Embryo. The other 2 were 4AA also but had various genetic issues so those are obviously out.
It's so scary that all our luck rest in this one embryo. But the Dr seems very positive (I am sure they all do) and my wifes body is at least in perfect condition for this transfer. All her hormones have always been spot on and her uterus has been ideal according to the DR, we did a saline ultra sound and a biopsy to make sure their was no endometriosis and all came back perfect. I have been giving her the nightly butt shots and those are some serious needles!! I am not sure I could handle someone sticking one of those in me every night but shes a trooper!
Sorry for the long post and all but just finally gave in to joining and posting. Also what can I do as a husband after the FET Tuesday to make things easier on her and give her the best chance as possible? Luckily she is not working so she has no stress about a job but any other helpful hints would be great. We are suppsosed to go to Thanksgiving at one of her aunts house which is like only 15 minutes away from our house is she ok to go to this?? I am sure you ladies know what works and what doesn't
Hi @murph145 welcome! You’re definitely not out of place here. There has been a handful of husbands over the years Good luck to you guys on Tuesday. It seems you are already doing what you can by doing all of the worrying so she can relax and minimize stress as much as possible. This process is hard on you too so please make sure to relax some with her and take care of yourself.

Hey @murph145 and welcome! We had our transfer earlier this month. Unfortunately it didn’t work for us by my husband was Uber supportive so I figured I’d tell you what he did. He held my hand the whole time during the transfer...he got me all my favorite foods for the day of when we got home and I was on bed rest. He made me tea, put flowers in our bedroom and took the photos of the transfer when we were at the doctors office. I wish you and your wife all the luck!!
Great beta @Lauren3617. Super congratulations to you!

@ndz2018 OMG - those Betas are amazing!!!! I'm extremely interested to see what your u/s shows!!! And yay @Lauren3617!! Congratulations!!!! Have you ladies started any symptoms yet? @hclausen85 That does look promising! Personally I leave it until Day9 or ideally Day10 and you should get a clear line then - but looking good!! If you could I'd hold out 2 days before testing again (although generally once we start testing it's hard to stop!!) but a two day difference should be easier to gauge at this stage @dukie001 Welcome and congrats on already being PUPO!! Do NOT stress about that negative - 4days post transfer? - too early lady!!! But it sounds like you've realised that now! Here's hoping you get someone wonderful news later this week - when is your Beta? And how are you feeling? Hi @murph145 - I love seeing supportive husbands here It sounds like you're off to a good start in caring for your wife in being here! Best of luck tomorrow - I guess the best thing you can do for her now is to help minimise her stress levels and help keep her calm. Thanksgiving should be fine - it's best for her to be up and moving about from the day after transfer (just no heavy lifting or high-impact workouts). Everyone here will agree - the TWW is one of the worst stages in this - particularly the first few days when Beta feels like an eternity away. So buy a bunch of DVDs or pick some Netflix series that you've been meaning to get through - also books, jigsaws, colouring books - anything that can while the days away. Thanksgiving will probably be a nice distraction in the middle of it all! And take care of yourself too - it's important to be there for each other at this time.

@murph145 Welcome and you are absolutely not out of place! Supportive hubbys are the best! Also your wife is absolutely ok to go over your Aunts for thanksgiving! My clinic required no bed rest after transfer. Here's how my husband and I looked at our transfer which was our first as well. We did everything we could and It was up to the embryo whether he wanted to stick around in there or not( yup we know its a he, we did pgs testing as well). You can't predict the future .... also don't count that mosaic out just yet, I've read plenty of articles where women are having healthy babes with mosaics ....shoot even with abnormals. Remember when they do pgs testing they only test the placenta, the cells inside could be absolutely normal and pretty much PUSH those abnormal cells out. I'll try to find the one article I read and send it to you. Good luck my friend!
@dukie001 Welcome!!! Agree with OP way too early I didn’t even pick up a test till 6dp5dt. @roisis thank you so much! I’m hoping there’s just one really strong baby in there. If it’s twins I may have a little freak out moment Lol! This U/S seem like an Eternity away
@murph145 welcome and good luck tomorrow! After transfer, just let your wifey relax and keep her hydrated! I love seeing husbands hop on these boards, just please put on earmuffs for the TMI question I am about to post below lol @dukie001 Welcome and congrats on the transfer! You def tested way too early, you're going to drive yourself crazy. I usually wait until at least 8 days past.. @hclausen85 agreed you should wait a couple more days to test again... FX for a line to appear!
Ok I have a thing that I have not posted yet because I feel like it's way TMI, but then again you guys are regularly cheering on my uterine lining so I'm just going for it. I am taking the estrace vaginally, but last week on like Thursday I started feeling like I had a yeast infection. I called my dr and he said that's super common in IVF cycles because of the hormone fluctuation etc, prescribes me some diflucan. Come this morning it's much improved but I still have quite a bit of irritation, so I Call back and mention that I have been taking ibuprofen to help with the inflammation and the nurse is like NO do not take that it thins your lining, stop right now. I am now freaking out because I have taken it the last FOUR days!! So now I am freaked out about thinning my already thin lining, wondering what the hell is going on down there, and nervous as heck for my next check on Wednesday. Someone tell me I didn't screw myself
@leilee101 Ibuprofen CAN thin your blood , which I suppose can thin your lining but it doesn't mean it did! When is your next morning monitoring? Keep doing all the natural remedies for lining PLUS the meds. Personally I don't think your lining shrunk I think she's just warning you that it could.
@suzycupcake thanks for the welcome. I will def take note of keeping her as stress free as possible. I am just amazed at how easy going she is with this whole process... I mean I am the one online looking up stuff and she's just going with the flow and doing what the Dr's tell her to do.
@manders85-2 good advice on food and drinks I will make sure to grab stuff tonight that she can have while at home the next few days. Sounds like most of all I can do is just be supportive. Sorry your transfer did not work
@roisis appreciate the heads up for Turkey Day. Wanted to make sure she was good to be out and about. I will make sure she doesnt lift anything heavy as well. She did record all of the new Hallmark Christmas Movies lol so she says she is going to binge watch all of those next few days.
@ndz2018 good info appreciate it. I need to call the genetics lab actually to discuss with them the "mosaic" embryo and see what they say / suggest. Just so crazy how you can have all these eggs retrieved then fertilized then after testing only 1 left that is "Ideal" crazy and now I see why it is so hard for some older couples to conceive.
@leilee101 Thanks! Yea I will put those on lol. I think I have become numb to the stuff I have been seeing and learning over the past few months..... Some interesting stuff I never even knew about reproduction process to say the least!
Keep everyone posted on how things go. Sounds like this whole process is a lot of "hurry up and wait". I am an impatient person so this sucks!
So I’m so scared to get happy.. it’s the oddest feeling. Beta is tomorrow and I’m just hoping that everything is ok. But thank you so much for the encouragement

Hey @leilee101 - Ok - first of all - don't panic!! I completely agree with @ndz2018 that even through Ibuprofen can thin your blood it doesn't mean it's going to attack this lovely lining you've already grown. It can be really scary when you're your told you shouldn't have taken something that you've already taken but try to relax - it's a super-common over the counter drug that people take all the time (and I've never even heard that it was a blood - thinner - I thought that was more aspirin). So my point is - it's taken - just put it out of your mind if you can. Also - in regards to the yeast infections - try taking a pro-biotic supplement - it can really help to stave them off @AlohaKumu I"m still not sure my transfer is going to be in November or possibly early December - so I'll be waving at you from that side too

Beta 1 is in. I can't figure out how to enter it as a "spoiler" from my phone so I entered it in our spreadsheet!

Beta #1

And yay @Lauren3617!! Congratulations!!!! Have you ladies started any symptoms yet?
@hclausen85 That does look promising! Personally I leave it until Day9 or ideally Day10 and you should get a clear line then - but looking good!! If you could I'd hold out 2 days before testing again (although generally once we start testing it's hard to stop!!) but a two day difference should be easier to gauge at this stage
@dukie001 Welcome and congrats on already being PUPO!! Do NOT stress about that negative - 4days post transfer? - too early lady!!! But it sounds like you've realised that now! Here's hoping you get someone wonderful news later this week - when is your Beta? And how are you feeling?

@dukie001 Welcome!!! Agree with OP way too early I didn’t even pick up a test till 6dp5dt.
@roisis thank you so much! I’m hoping there’s just one really strong baby in there. If it’s twins I may have a little freak out moment Lol! This U/S seem like an Eternity away
@dukie001 Welcome and congrats on the transfer! You def tested way too early, you're going to drive yourself crazy. I usually wait until at least 8 days past..
@hclausen85 agreed you should wait a couple more days to test again... FX for a line to appear!
@ndz2018 & @Lauren3617
