@kiki047 - Last March my sisters and I did a girls weekend trip to Orange Beach, AL. It's not as popular as Destin, FL but just as nice! We went biking, to the beach, shopping, etc. And it wasn't busy since it hadn't hit summer. What you might want to do it make sure you're not hitting a popular spring break week for the surrounding colleges.

my birthmom got pregnant with me at 15 and then went on to have 3 other kids by 3 different guys. So it really frustrates me that fertility issues obviously don’t run in the family, so wtf.

I have a sister and 2 cousins who are pregnant right now. All on the same side of the family. My sister started in February and got her BFP in early July and due in March (5-6 cycles). 1 cousin came back from a mission trip in June and is due in April (I'm guessing 2 or 3 cycles) and the other cousin who is on #2 is also due in March. She had a C-section with her first so they were benched until earlier this year so they took no more than 6 months as well.<br><br>If you're counting, that's 3 pregnancies cumulatively conceived in less time than we've been trying for one. I'm happy to become an aunt, but it all still stings a little.

We had a baby shower for a woman at work. As the party was going on, two other women (one of which is my friend) were talking and I guess one said to the other "who do you think is next?" and my friend (who knows I am TTC and tried to deflect to a new topic) was like "well it could be a wedding we celebrate next, not just a baby" and then this woman started pointing to me as I walked by!!! So being confused, I stopped to ask why she was pointing at me and she goes "First it was ____'s turn, now its ________'s turn, so you're next, right?!"

Agreed. I know they think it's harmless but it's not. I get it constantly, always from people ages 60+. And since we're not married yet (because his divorce wasn't finalized until last week) they were always asking when we're going to get married yet. Like, mind your damn business! Good for you for saying something @lillywonderland. I'm sorry it was necessary, but some people just don't get it when you're trying to subtly change the subject. I can see my SO physically recoiling when he's asked about babies. If he had a shell he'd make like a turtle and just hide.

@lillywonderland the plan is to have a small wedding sometime next year. I suspect he has a ring, because he reluctantly admitted that he wasn't sleeping a few weeks ago (remember back in Sept he was in a funk?) and part of that was because he custom designed something and he was freaking out that I wouldn't like it, so he didn't sleep for a week. Then maybe 2 weeks ago he had this weeeird 30 min "meeting" in his [shared] calendar that he wouldn't give me details on and never spoke of it again. I pressed him lightly but he got all weird and defensive, which he never does because we tell each other everything, so I backed off. Of course my brain went a little crazy over that but 1. he's normally so good when it comes to planning little surprises so I didn't think he'd be that obvious about it and 2. I'm really bad at ruining things for myself because I know him too well and I guess things before he has a chance to tell me.
We have an interesting history and I do love to talk about it so I'll PM it to you because it's really long and I don't want to leave out any details. I was going to put it in a spoiler but it just occurred to me that this is a public forum and maybe I don't want this out on the interwebz for the world to see if they care to come looking for it.
TLDR: we've been friends for over 9 years but he was in a relationship... I later found out he's been in love with me from the get-go but never thought he was good enough. He eventually left her, and we've been together ever since.

Me: Haha, yeah. It's a little late for that. We are now in the Two Week Wait.
