I fainted at work today and hit my head. as if its not bad enough, I was asked 7 times (7 TIMES) if I was sure I was not pregnant.
I was so close to loosing my mind. 
Apparently my blood sugar was at a 2.7 and my blood pressure was extremely low. but no one seemed all that concerned and I was told to relax but not too much because of a concussion. I'll survive. 
Also hope everyone is OK where the storm is going to hit

@kels0091 Oh that is not good! Glad to hear that you are ok though. I have some experience with being anemic, it is not fun. Get those sugars up.

Thanks to everyone that was concerned. We managed to miss the worst part of the storm. Just had some strong wind, but no power outages. It was a nice day off from work and I was able to almost finish my box of apples and make the rest of the apple butter. 

@kels0091 - I'm so sorry! Do you have a history of low blood sugar?

I was super anemic about a year ago and would faint often but the emergency Dr said my iron levels were OK and I wasn't dehydrated. 
I want to get my thyroid checked to just make sure its going as is.

For those following, my reno has started. We're gutting the kitchen, ripping out the gas fireplace (and not replacing it as of yet), removing a half wall between the kitchen and family room, building a walk-in/butlers pantry and dry bar between the kitchen and the dining room, and painting the entire main floor/staircases/upstairs hallways. There isn't much to see yet but our current living situation (in the basement) is really quite comfortable.

Love our contractor for doing his best to minimize the dust/mess from demolition. 



We have a pretty comfortable setup in the basement bar area, other than not being able to find anything I think we're all set. 


Gutting the kitchen - putting in a 9ft island and cabinets will be built right up to the ceiling.

@kels0091 That happens to me sometimes when my blood sugar and BP get too low, and I'm dehydrated. Sugary alcoholic drinks seem to be a trigger for me, but its also happened just from overheating. My doctor said it's common in people with low BP. I've learned to put a cold, wet cloth on my head/wrists when I feel it coming on and that helps it clear up before I start to black out.

We had snow flurries this morning... The high for today is only 39. We currently have a wind chill of 28. There are tears in my eyes as I type this. Where did fall go!? We went straight from summer to winter. I can tell already that this is going to be a long one.

Home now, and holy crow my kitchen is gone. We also discovered what was hiding in the bulkheads. This may change our plan slightly but we’ll have to see how it goes.

@kbrown2385 a few that I thought were fun when I was getting ideas for our date night jar: movie night complete with popcorn and movie sized candy (or a scary movie, cuz October?), "Chopped" competition using only what's in your fridge, couples spa night, or make your own wine and cheese tasting. We have yet to do any of these so I'm not sure how they are

Today’s update from my SO (I’m still at work):

Him: ”Hi baby, what colour should we paint the basement?”
me: “We’re not painting the basement yet.”
Him: “are you sure about that?” 

We have a drop ceiling, we thought they could run the gas line and plumbing that way. I guess not. Should I be upset that they didn’t consult us first? lol I’m amused right now but I can feel my stress levels rising.

Re: grey. I love grey and pretty much anything. We did a light grey in our open concept living/family/kitchen/hallways with a turquoise (more of a robin’s egg blue Crayola crayon) accent wall. I love it sooooooooooo much. I think it’s fun and lively. 

Our master is a darker grey. LOL. We have a grey problem!

I love gray too, it is my favorite r color.  I honestly didn’t realize it was “in style” so go me for my accidental good decorating our new house.

@brookert615 @lillywonderland @holly321 the rest of the house is already/will be grey/greige, with accents. Kitchen is white with a grey island. Master BR we did a dark blue accent wall. Spare BR was supposed to be a purply grey but it’s actually just lavender oops. Basement will be some complementing shade of grey too, now that we’ll have to paint sooner than later lol. We hoped to put that off a little. 


In other news, I am drinking alllllll the wine tonight because my SO just found out that’s his divorce finally came through!!!!! (From his ex, not me hahahaha). Hallelujah!! Now we can finally move on. Thankfully there were no kids involved so it was a relatively simple process, just takes so damn long even when it’s mutual. And she refused to get a lawyer of her own so that brought on all sorts of other complications. Yaaaaayyyyyyy. Sorry, I just needed to tell someone.

I just need to brag for a minute since I cant with my friends or social media (they have big mouths and would tell him) but I made my bf the cutest birthday bouquet! I'm just really proud of it because I love pinterest but I fail a lot on what I try to do haha. Picture included ! 
I also got him a housecoat that he wanted. im resisting every urge to not give it to him right now lol
