About a month ago I entered a picture I took into a photo contest and ended up winning an incubator and hatching eggs. Just checked on them and they're beginning to hatch! I'm so stinking excited!!

@chichiphin all the feelings from Call the Midwife season 7. I will say Lucille and Valerie teaching the feminine hygiene class was one of my favorite moments.
@lillywonderland chickens this time around. We have done ducks in the past. Waiting for our Indian Runner ducks to start laying again. I'll definitely post some pics a little later!

They are hatching a bit early because of slightly high temps (first time with this incubator). It's killing me that I can't open it yet. I promise better pics later! 5 so far!

I never knew how uneven my feet are until I put on my new booties this weekend. It fit perfectly onto my right foot but such a struggle to put on my left. I got them off of zulily so trying on before hand.
@nopegoat awwwwwwww!!!!!! I loved baby ducklings when our ducks had them, and baby chickens are just as cute!!!!! Squealing with joy over here!!!!

Besides our cow, Beefy, the ducks and geese are my favorites on our little farm! We currently have 20 ducks and 2 geese. 🙈🙈 We may have a problem lol!! But I seriously could watch them ALL day!

These are a mixture of all different kinds. I'm pretty sure I won some barred rocks and Ameraucanas and then we added a few of our own Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers. I also won a few black copper maran and serama eggs but they didn't develop right and were dead before I locked the incubator down for hatching.

I am seriously envious of all you duck owners! I am obsessed with ducks and baby ducks. They are my favorite!! Thank you @nopegoat for sharing some pics!! (I may have also YouTubed the Indian runner ducks and I was not dissapointed!!)
@nopegoat we used to have geese but haven’t had any for many years. Right now, we just have chickens and ducks. We keep saying we are getting goats again, but it didn’t happen. I have been trying to talk my dad into a donkey for years ( all my stuff is at his house, they live about a mile away).
ducks can be so sweet and social. I had one years ago that was attacked by the chickens, so he was in a pen by himself for a while, so I would get him out each day and he would follow me and my dog around all afternoon, he would even climb in my lap when I sat down.
@lillywonderland runners are my absolute favorite! They are so stinking funny. I call them my bowling pins!
@holly321 I want a donkey and another cow so bad!! If we had more land I'd do it on a heartbeat. Aww!! I want a lap duck. Some of ours will come eat out of your hand but that's as far as it goes.
Miss Broody has officially adopted them. 8 chicks so far. 😍😍
ETA wrong pic but still a cute one. Here's one with more fuzzy babies!

@b_1029 - I don't know if I "violated" the blackout, but I stalked the Bump while not signed in to my account. There was this crazy cat troll that made no less than 5 accounts and went to each of the posts about the blackout and posted tons of cat gifs. She even trolled a troll that came in here asking about meds and "baby dust." The way she was trolling was hilarious and harmless and made a lot of people think it was a reg. All cat accounts were created the day we brought up the blackout. She even made an entire post called "When the cat is away, the mice will play." SOOOO many cat gifs.
It was definitely harmless most of the day and entertaining. But when they started posting screen shots of regs account activity, posting polls on regs, and screen shots of other things multiple times all over TTGP, it went a little far.

For those asking (@chichiphin), the reno is moving along so fast. They finished the plumbing yesterday, and finished framing/put up the drywall for our new pantry off the kitchen. Today I think they're going to finish drywalling the ceiling in the pantry/dining room, then tomorrow is finishing off the electrical and putting in the new potlights throughout the main floor.
We took out the gas fireplace in the family room because it's kinda long and skinny and we would rather have use of that wall for seating now that we've taken out the half wall.
It looks so much better re-framed, and they're going to do crown moulding around it to finish it. I'm having a hard time picturing it but he assures me it'll look nice.
This is what it looked like before (Realtor photo). We found it was so crowded, and we want that to be open to the kitchen instead. We also hated those columns. It's a supporting wall so we had to keep them but it'll look so much more modern with cleaner lines.
It was dark out by the time I got home (and no lights on the main floor lol) so no photos of the pantry with drywall up. You can see it better this way anyway. We'll have cupboards and counters on both ends, with open shelving along the long (back) wall. Doing a glass sliding door (is it still called a barn door if it's not rustic/wood?). Opposite side along the wall is going to be a coffee/wine bar.

oooooh @kiki047 I love the decision to remove the fire place and to replace the half wall with traditional, clean support columns. It will look so good!
@chichiphin thank you! I've had mixed reactions to taking out the fireplace. I think we'll put in a modern electric one if we eventually do built-in shelving on the entertainment wall, so we really had no use for the gas fireplace. My feelings about my reno are a lot like TTC - I try not to tell people too many details because everyone has an opinion on what they think we should do.

@kiki047: this is some SERIOUS reno! It's going to look so good. Are you going crazy while it's in process? Our 5 year plan involves a serious kitchen reno, and I'm nervous about it already!
@lcking82 I'm surprisingly not as anxious as I thought I'd be, I think because this part moves relatively quickly. We have a seriously amazing contractor though so he's been really open and good about communicating exactly what's going on and what to expect day to day. The dust/mess is driving me a little crazy because evvvverything is covered in a film of dust, no matter how much we tarped and how careful they are. I also can't find anything, lol, but what else is new.
ETA: My only advice at this point is plan plan plan, be clear about what you want/don't want, and just make sure to find a contractor that you're comfortable with and get along with. We had a clear idea of what we wanted going into this but we also trusted his process and his eye. He came over 4-6 times before we started, saw how the space functioned/how we wanted it, he took us to see some of his completed work and we talked to the homeowners who had nothing but good things to say about him. We interviewed two other contractors first and we just clashed in so many ways, they disagreed with some of our designs and we hated their suggestions. I would not be this calm if I had any worries that things wouldn't be done exactly the way I asked.
This is basically my inspiration, our layout will be different but same cabinet colours (white with grey island) and countertops, same paint colour, and I'm looking for lights like that too.
