Re: I like to move it, move it {Baby Movement Thread}

  • Another anterior placenta here. I feel like baby has been pretty active though. Lots of what feels like her somersaulting. DD1 was lying on my belly the other day and got a solid kick to the head, lol. Welcome to being a big sister!

  • @madreofdragons - I'm so excited for DD to be able to feel it. She's going to be such an amazing big sister again since she's capable of so much more than she was at two.

  • Baby was really active earlier this week, but yesterday and today it's tapered off quite a bit. I get a kick every few hours, so I think he's moved to a spot right behind my placenta (anterior) and so I'm not feeling his kicks. Kinda nice to have a break, but also kinda nerve-wracking. Welcome to motherhood, eh?
  • What do hiccups feel like compared to movement?
Babe has been doing some kickboxing this evening!
  • To me it feels similar at first but it’s the exact same movement over and over with about 10-20 seconds in between.
  • It’s movement that feels rhythmic and doesn’t quite feel like a kick or a punch. You literally feel your bump jump a little bit.

  • I’d describe it as rhythmic as well.
  • I think we had our first hiccups today... they were pretty strong though, but they were def rhythmic. Dh got to feel when it was happening
  • Ok the hiccups are fun and cool the first time, but 4-6 am? Really?

  • Omg there are butthole hiccups!!?!?  :D
  • I do believe I have experienced hiccups! To me it felt a lot deeper than the usual kicks (not butthole deep though :D). Definitely rythmic.
  • ive gotten butthole kicks.. at least that's what I thought they were, but maybe they were hiccups??  Whatever it was it was tapping at my butt!
  • Ok, so I'm not looking forward to the baby hiccups now!  This little lady moves a lot but I have yet to experience hiccuping.
  • I’ve definitely gotten butt and vag kicks. Last night she was kicking my bladder over and over and over.
  • I have yet to experience butt/back/vag/bladder kicks. He seems to be mostly kicking outwards near my belly button, and punching near my pelvis. He was head down during the AS, so that makes sense.

  • I’m waiting to the feel the hiccups at every ultra sound we have had he gets the hiccups at some point during the appointment! I’ve heard they can get a tiny bit annoying in the middle of the night but I can’t wait!

Lots of movement here - this is my first time without an anterior placenta and I'm a TTM.
Same! I have never felt this much constant movement. This babe must take daily kickboxing classes!

  • this LO is a mover and shaker for sure.  Felt him moving around as I went to bed, when I woke up at 1:45am bc DS was crying, and again this morning when I woke up.  Now I'm just sitting at my desk and he's wiggling all around in there.

  • @grebretso I hate those quiet days, too!
  • @grebretso I had a quiet day on Monday. I kept trying to make her move and she was very stubborn. That was until I tried to sleep and then she went full on dance party and hasn't slowed down since.
  • @hannahbananas11 I love that ahahah

i had a couple days last week with really strong, see them from the outside, kicks. Now I think baby has moved, so I can feel them but can’t see my belly bouncing around for now.
  • This baby has made a bit of a habit of kicking me right when I'm trying really hard to focus on something at work. It's still cute though!
  • This baby is good/reliable kicker. I like that! Posterior placenta. Kicks when I sit down after her sister’s are asleep until morning.
  • I've been feeling kicks with my hand for a couple of weeks but DH didn't feel anything until last night! It wasn't much but I'm glad he finally did!
  • My baby keeps kicking down, into my cervix, and sometimes it feels practically like the kid is in my vagina, or anyway pounding against it, and that is not a comfortable sensation. Is this happening to anyone else? I’m like kid get out of there!
  • @jessier19 I've had that, too! I don't know if kid is kicking or headbutting, but it's not appreciated. He'll do it once per day or so.
  • Baby doesn’t like me using my belly as a shelf. Kicks at me every time.
  • @jessier19 YES. He is doing this so much.

I know alot on here wish to feel thier LO more often.  I feel guilty because I just wish mine would be calm at some point. It's sweet but this dude moves all the freaking time... Like non stop. Yesterday until 3am I was up because he just kept dancing/karate/drumming whatever. I just wanted to sleep. Insomnia is already a thing, now add LO constantly moving. I get a lack of sleep and then feel crappy because of it. This makes for a grumpy momma. I do like feeling him, promise. And if I ever get a quiet day I would probably freak.
  • @hnbergeron I have a feeling that once LO gets bigger and I feel him more frequently, I'll find myself in your boat!
  • @jessier19 I’m definitely having lots of cervix kicks. Last week was lots of bladder kicks. Not sure which is worse lol
  • @jessier19 Add me to the list of cervix kicks. It's definitely not the best feeling.
