    These are a mixture of all different kinds. I'm pretty sure I won some barred rocks and Ameraucanas and then we added a few of our own Easter Eggers and Olive  Eggers. I also won a few black copper maran and serama eggs but they didn't develop right and were dead before I locked the incubator down for hatching.

    @nopegoat we used to have geese but haven’t had any for many years.  Right now, we just have chickens and ducks.  We keep saying we are getting goats again, but it didn’t happen.  I have been trying to talk my dad into a donkey for years  ( all my stuff is at his house, they live about a mile away).

    ducks can be so sweet and social.  I had one years ago that was attacked by the chickens, so he was in a pen by himself for a while, so I would get him out each day and he would follow me and my dog around all afternoon, he would even climb in my lap when I sat down.
  • @nopegoat all of these pictures are so adorable!
  • I’m very curious as to what happened yesterday on here after stalking the June board!
  • ::lurking::

    It was definitely harmless most of the day and entertaining. But when they started posting screen shots of regs account activity, posting polls on regs, and screen shots of other things multiple times all over TTGP, it went a little far.

  • @marebear15 Honestly, that did occur to me but I would've had to log out first and it would've bit a hit.  And I wasn't sure if they would still get the hit if I wasn't logged in.  *shrug*  What really matters is that it worked!

  • @chichiphin thank you! I've had mixed reactions to taking out the fireplace. I think we'll put in a modern electric one if we eventually do built-in shelving on the entertainment wall, so we really had no use for the gas fireplace. My feelings about my reno are a lot like TTC - I try not to tell people too many details because everyone has an opinion on what they think we should do.

    @lcking82 I'm surprisingly not as anxious as I thought I'd be, I think because this part moves relatively quickly. We have a seriously amazing contractor though so he's been really open and good about communicating exactly what's going on and what to expect day to day. The dust/mess is driving me a little crazy because evvvverything is covered in a film of dust, no matter how much we tarped and how careful they are. I also can't find anything, lol, but what else is new.

    ETA: My only advice at this point is plan plan plan, be clear about what you want/don't want, and just make sure to find a contractor that you're comfortable with and get along with. We had a clear idea of what we wanted going into this but we also trusted his process and his eye. He came over 4-6 times before we started, saw how the space functioned/how we wanted it, he took us to see some of his completed work and we talked to the homeowners who had nothing but good things to say about him. We interviewed two other contractors first and we just clashed in so many ways, they disagreed with some of our designs and we hated their suggestions. I would not be this calm if I had any worries that things wouldn't be done exactly the way I asked.

    This is basically my inspiration, our layout will be different but same cabinet colours (white with grey island) and countertops, same paint colour, and I'm looking for lights like that too.
