I had my first appointment yesterday and I had to take my two year old daughter with me. The dr. decided to do a quick ultrasound to check the hear beat so he leaves the room so that I can undress, and my daughters all "mama mama what are you doing?!? do you have to poop?" it was too funny and definitely calmed my nerves while waiting to see that little flicker.
Is everyone else seeing this annoying bump video on every discussion post randomly between individual posts? I thought it was someone's annoying signature at first but it's around different users every time.
@RoseShadow873 yes! And on my phone it's really annoying to scroll past, as it takes up almost the entire screen. I've started it playing more times than I can count, accidentally hitting it instead of above or below.
Speaking of signatures, I hate how you can’t see them when you are on the app. I rarely ever get a desktop anymore and primarily only bump from my phone.

@DuchessOfCambridge I’m only a FTM so I don’t have the stretched uterus, but seriously, I have a bump! It’s different than my other “bumps” that would go away in the morning. It’s starting to stay! 😂 My DH keeps telling me to stop pushing out, and I’m not!
@eatinwatermelonseeds have you ever seen/heard the Dane Cook sketch about Burger King and Whoppers? That's all I think about every time I order a Whopper now.
I'm so excited to be pregnant for Christmas and wear maternity clothes! Last Christmas I had a 2 week old and felt like everyone was staring at my stomach to see if I still looked pregnant which spoiler alert, I did.

@eatinwatermelonseeds Dane Cook gets a bad rap, but his early comedy albums are friggin hysterical. Kool Aid man. Oh yeaaaah! Oh no, Kool Aid, you just burst through my wall, that's not cool/
@kbeers13 I dont think you need to worry about it. What kind of cheese did you eat and where did you get it from? They say avoid soft cheeses like Brie because they can be unpasteurized, but almost all cheese sold at the grocery store here in the states is actually pasteurized. It will say on the back of the label.

@sleepy33@robyn2201 Thanks, I ate quite a bit of feta in a sandwich (no deli meat) from a hole in the wall greek place. I'll keep an eye on how I'm feeling and check back in the the OB before the end of the day if they don't call.
I’m attempting to cook chili at SO’s bachelor pad. The man has no onion of any type. No onion salt. No dried onion. No frozen. He has 3 kind of beer and 2 kinds of vodka (which he doesn’t drink). No damn onion.
@sleepy33 I remember being surprised by the contents of my now husband's fridge when we were dating. Lots of leftover Chinese food, opened potato chip bags, and a huge never opened bag of Skittles. He explained that he worked so late so often, the Chinese place on the corner was his best option. He kept everything once he opened it in the fridge so there was no risk of attracting bugs. And his mom bought him the Skittles, but he didn't like them. When we moved in together, the Skittles came with him. When we moved apartments, the Skittles came with us. When we bought a house and moved 3 hours away, the Skittles came with us. It's been at least 7 years since he got them, and they are still unopened in our cabinet. (His mom passed away before we got married, so we will probably never throw them away.)
@peachy13 I felt the same last Christmas! I had a 4 week old and had emergency gallbladder surgery over Christmas and I felt so horrible. I'm looking forward to looking more presentable and actually enjoying the good food!

Why am I SITB?! Anyway, I believe you! Each woman’s body is different. Btw, STM+ uteruses (uterii?) shrink back to normal 6-8 weeks after delivering ☺️ There is, of course, other anatomical stuff going on so while I know at 6w3d my bump is not baby, I know it’s more than bloat because it’s firm. Though, my after dinner bump was TOTALLY a 5 month food baby. A bit aggressive.
@peachy13 one of my least favorite things after delivery was constantly feeling like people were checking out my stomach to see if it had gone back to normal. It made me really really sad, and they definitely weren’t discreet. My favorite people in the whole world are a stranger and an acquaintance who told me I looked like I had never had a baby 😂 everyone else just stared and did not provide compliments or try to make me feel good.
