@mamajojo1981 That is so sweet! I'm so impressed you haven't spilled the beans yet. I made it about 3.6 seconds after my BFP lol
It is SO hard, especially because I've been dealing with so many symptoms and feeling like crap and yet on the phone or video, pretending that I am feeling just fine. Ugh. 21.5 hours and I can spill the beans!!
@sleepy33 We started doing grocery pickup when we moved and it's AMAZING. The store is right by DHs school so he grabs them on his way home from work. Best thing every.
We just got grocery pick up here and I've only used it once and I'm so bummed about it. I use an app called Ibotta which gives me cash back on certain products and I can't use it with grocery pick up. 😭😭
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
@eatinwatermelonseeds yes! I use the savings catcher app too but I get a ton more back with Ibotta with their bonuses. I'm up like $85 in just a few months.

Another random: my kid fell asleep next to me, which is just the sweetest. But it's 6pm and I'm back and forth between waking him up and enjoying the peace and quiet 😂
It’s been a DAY! I worked out, checked some things off my to do list that have been hanging over my head, talked DS’s pediatrician into giving him a flu shot, had my OB appointment (everything looks good!), and have been spending the evening packing for our trip. We have to wake up at 3:15 😬 I’m going to try to catch up but have a feeling I won’t make it. Sorry if I’m kind of absent over the next ten days but I’m sure I’ll pop in here and there!
Also, we don’t have grocery store pickup where I live and it’s incredibly sad. I did a Shipt free trial for a while but couldn’t justify paying for it considering I stay at home. It was a nice two weeks, though.
@DuchessOfCambridge that's sad. We actually didn't have it, especially free from Walmart, until recently. It was really sad.. having to actually go into the store and interact with people... 😬😂
@eatinwatermelonseeds where I live has no drive thrus either. It’s SUPER family oriented here, really great school systems. But it’s like the people here WANT to lug all their kids in and out of the car. I don’t get it. I’m not about that life.
After throwing up all over me this morning, DD2 was back to her usual perky self and has been ever since. She took nearly a three hour nap and I was able to fold four huge baskets of laundry. Then once DD1 got home from preschool, they actually played together nicely, and I was able to not only put all but DHs laundry away, I also got to take all the girls summer clothes out of their dressers and put fall/winter clothes in, PLUS I got all my maternity clothes out of storage and hung up on my closet. Then I cooked dinner from scratch. Thank goodness because it's back to work tomorrow!! Tomorrow is the first of two birthdays this week for my preschoolers, so that means cupcakes!! 🎈🎈🎈
@DuchessOfCambridge Sheesh, what is wrong with those people? 😂 I can deal most of the time, my son has been doing really well in the store, but I have no idea what's going to happen when #2 gets here.
@thebobloblaw I just wear sports bras to bed. I actually dislike a lot of the nursing sleep bras that I've seen because so many of them are a low V that you just pull over to nurse. I find that when I'm sleeping on my side (so all of second and third tri) my one boob usually just slips right out of it. Not comfortable. My go to sports bra for sleep is just a cheap old Champion brand. Pretty sure I picked them all up at Costco. I wear them every night, pregnant or not. I'll swap it out for a wireless nursing bra once babe is here though.
I like the champion sports bras for sleep too; they're really comfortable. I got mine at Target.
My random news: I used my husband's beard trimmer to shave the mats out of the fur of my geriatric cat. I'm not going to tell him. I don't feel guilty about it. On the contrary, I feel like it was one of my greatest accomplishments from last week because my cat no longer looks homeless.
Y’all I ordered my groceries online today and scheduled to pick them up right after I got kiddo from school and they bring them right out to my car. What a time to be alive.
I need to start doing this! Especially once this LO is here.

Hi all! I just came on here to say that i haven't had much time to contribute, lately. But i am reading and lovetitting your posts. Holy baked potato! I was craving it all weekend and more you guys just made it worse. Mmmmm nom nom nom!
Where is everyone getting their motivation from? I was wildly productive last week, so have a little bit of wiggle room this week. I. Can't. Do. Anything. I'm going to regret it next week, but I just don't wanna.
I have officially grown out of my “pre-pregnancy” pants. I typically wear a 0 so I wasn’t expecting them to last long. Currently teaching with my pants unbuttoned and they are still too tight. Better start searching for maternity work pants! Does anyone have a brand the love or a belly band they can take live without? I’m having a hard time finding maternity pants that aren’t the full over the belly panel!
"a belly band they can't live without" - lol @mrskoz428 does such a thing exist?! I remember getting one from Target that was good for a while during my last pregnancy. I think it was their Ingrid & Isabel line.
I was away a few days (sans child!!!!!) so wasn't online much but I've learned that a) I need to start grocery pickup 2) I need a baked potato STAT.
2 hours until my first OB appointment. I thought I was totally cool and chill about it until the nightmares started last night. Ready to just get this over with RN!

It's seriously great. Plus, it helps me stay on track w/ budget by forcing me to meal plan and stick to eating that food instead of fast food/takeout. I have to have my order in by 10 am Monday to pick up by 5 that evening. So now, the whole week's food is waiting for me and I avoided any "Ooooh, I need THAT!" impulse purchases (or toddler-driven 'if I buy this for you, will you be quiet?' purchases)
@mrskoz428 I've just embraced the full belly panel. Mostly because it's what I've got.
I'm going to have a tough time when I'm actually going to need to do some shopping... we have ZERO maternity stores in my town. I think Old Navy has a maternity section? And we have some specialty mom and baby boutiques that might have some maternity clothes. But that's about it. And I suck at online shopping.

Yeah i do the toddker purchases too. We usually end up having to buy sugar cookies and a pack of m&ms do i can get him to shut up.
If i dknt get cookies and i ignore him he literally throws his head back snd screams mom at the top of his lungs.

Gap/Old Navy does have maternity! I just got an email 40% off and free shipping with the code STYLE, and an extra 10% off at Gap with the code BEST
@sleepy33 I'm pretty sure the Gap pulled all of their maternity clothes out of brick and mortar stores in Canada around the time I was pregnant with DD1 (5 years ago). They still sell it online, but you can't try it on first. Might be an option though, because I think I can return in store...

@k2k2tog I did call customer service last time I was pregnant and they told me I could return maternity clothes to brick and mortar stores, even if they didn't have a maternity section. They actually pulled Gap Maternity fully out of canada for several years (it wasn't available when I was pregnant in 2012/13 with DD1) and then when they brought it back in 2015ish it was only online. I just had a quick look and it looks like a few pilot locations across Canada do have a maternity section again! Chinook mall in Calgary is one, so I might swing in there next time I'm in Calgary
@mrskoz428 I loathe the full panel. I found side stretch and low panel maternity jeans at Old Navy during my last pregnancy. If you have a Ross near you, I found pretty nice, inexpensive maternity clothes there as well.
@fuscok88 I can’t do the full panel! I HATE tight things around my stomach and full panels just aren’t the solution for that! 😂 I’ve been walking around with my pants unbuttoned today! Maybe I’ll check Old Navy or Ross. We have quite a few “high end” resell stores that I may check out, too. I just can’t wear my pants anymore and they my be suspicious if I completely abandon pants for dresses and skirts.
I don't like the itchy-tight feeling of full panel, but the side/low panel ones all make me feel like my ass crack is hanging out. There is no good solution.
@sleepy33 yes! I have one pair of side panel jeans that I love and fit amazingly, but I can’t seem to find any other colors and I can’t wear jeans every day.
@Sleepy33 I gave up on pants by about 18-20 weeks with my son and just wore skirts and leggings until I had him.
@Mrskoz428 If you have a Motherhood Maternity near you they had a variety or styles. Ours closed when I was pregnant with my son though. We pretty much just hard Target left that carries in store maternity. I think I'm just going to order online with this one. Amazon wardrobe it all so I can just send it back if I don't like it.
I'm happy to report that I had a baked sweet potato last night
Which brings me to my next question: I always make them in the pressure cooker, but they never turn out the same as the soft creamy ones from restaurants. Any tips for making baked potatoes super soft?
@k2k2tog I’m terrible at online shopping too. The maternity dress pants I have are from motherhood maternity. I actually got them from Macy’s. They’re full panel, which I’m not a huge fan of, but they seem to stay up better. Side panels seem to slide down throughout the day and get a saggy look to them. Or maybe that’s just me 😂
Would anyone be opposed to starting a maternity clothes thread to ask questions, share good finds, coupon codes or sales, etc? I had a summer baby, so besides leggings, I’m not sure how to dress this time around.
@mrskoz428 have you tried on a full panel before? None of mine felt very tight/snug at all. I actually missed them when I put them away after having DS and can’t wait to wear them again.
