We confirmed she's a girl but now she’s now breech which explains the kicking sensation in my butthole last night. She had her back to us so we couldn’t see her heart or face, got most other measurements though and the tech didn’t run out to get the MFM so I assume everything is normal. Go back in a couple of weeks to try and get what we missed. She’s now thoroughly pissed and kicking the daylights out of me. So mostly good anatomy scan?
Update: MFM read my ultrasound and noted an EIF on her heart. We need more measurements of it anyway so we’ll look at it again in a few weeks. Otherwise unremarkable/normal.
Thanks @MrsDho11 . They just scheduled my next U/S and they had a spot open right before my next OB appointment so we'll do the U/S and I'll see my OB and we'll review it then.
Had our AS today! It was so incredible to see her. A little girl just like our NIPT said! We got a great profile shot that I'm in love with; I keep opening on my phone to stare at it lol. She is super photogenic already - she shifted halfway through our appointment and the tech was able to get everything she needed. Even with the dermal piercing I have on my belly button - which is apparently sometimes problematic, lol oops.
Feeling super lucky to have had our OB follow up 30 minutes after the appointment, and everything looks normal! I do have a partially anterior placenta (a little to the right), but I've been feeling her so I'm not worried. Soooooo happppppy.
Yay @kianarain so happy things went well today! Our AS went well too (except our MFM was super weird) but the US tech was very technical and showed us everything, explaining along the way. Which makes up for her being the worst sonography picture taker ever! 😂 seriously I’ve had US of my kidneys that looked clearer, ha. But we got to see baby girl and she’s growing right on schedule, her heart looked great, she did some thumb sucking and swallowing while we were watching. And kept her little ankles crossed the whole time, so polite! We also visited our first daycare center ever and it was great — we had no idea what to ask or expect but the director was super nice.
We had our AS on Tuesday. We found out we were having a girl four weeks ago but were nervous about everything being healthy. They said everything looks good but she was hiding her face so in four weeks we will have another US just to check her face. They also said I had anterior placenta which explains why I was mainly feeling fluttering and not much more. However, every time I have an appointment we hit another milestone and now she is kicking up a storm. To the point DH felt her last night.
I had my repeat anatomy scan yesterday. I managed not to really freak out and worry until the scan was actually happening and I knew how close I was to answers. Thankfully my scans are at the MFM so at the end I get a visit with the doctor and results! She told me everything she already reviewed looked great, then she went through each picture again quickly, did her own quick scan, and said I was good to go! Such a relief to finally know it looks like I have a healthy little nugget growing in there. I was so nervous that because they couldn't get all of the shots a month ago that they would find something they couldn't see last time. But thankfully it was just confirmation that things are still looking great.

@BitterBetty12 I'm so glad your follow up went well! I have mine in a couple of weeks and I too am paranoid they'll find something they couldn't see before. Especially since the MFM noted an EIF on her heart(which can be nothing).
I'm about to see the pediatric cardiologist for what could possibly be a whole in the babies heart. Crossing my fingers it was just a shadow and if it is a whole that it resolved itself.
@BitterBetty12 so glad to hear your results were all good and also glad to hear that you didn't let yourself stress over it!
Had my anatomy scan yesterday and we found out we're having a boy! Now we just have to decide on a name lol
I think the scan itself went okay. The technician spent a lot of time looking at the heart, which made me nervous, but she didnt tell us we have anything to worry about or anything.
Edit: I actually just got a call from my obgyn office and they said that one of the kidneys looked dilated in the ultrasound. She said it's common with boys, but they want me to go to the actual hospital to get another ultrasound next week to look at it more...I dont know exactly what this means for the baby or his health, but I hope it ends up being nothing to worry about
@sarahsaurus-2 DS had the same issue with his kidneys. I ended up seeing a MFM several times for ultrasounds to monitor them. The issue resolved itself before he was born.

I had my scan a couple of weeks ago. Everything looks good. He has a soft marker on his heart Down Syndrome but that was the only marker and the quad screen came back fine so they don’t think he has it. If he does then we’ll deal just fine. I had this fear of getting in there and the baby would have missing organs but he’s good. She said placenta and cord were great too. Those were more of my irrational fears. They get everything they needed but because of my high risk status I’m going to be seeing the mfm much more often now. Growth scans often and NSTs starting in 3rd tri. So even though I’ll continue to be monitored closely I’m feeling good about this little guy.
The pediatric cardiologist said everything looked good, but he scanned me forever and took a ton of pics and clips to send to the doctor's, but he was confident there was nothing out of the ordinary.
@sparkymcgeee There are a few of us here that had EIFs found at our A/S. Although it can be a marker for DS, in the absence of other markers it's not thought to matter. They are found in a small percentage of healthy babies and are usually gone by 3rd tri. My DS had one too and he is completely healthy. If you're having other scans in 3rd tri, I'm sure they'll take another look.

@tosh24 yeah DD had a couple of markers and she was totally fine. I'm not too worried about it. MFM was concerned because of the Panorama results being inconclusive twice (which can indicate genetic abnormalities) and my overall risk. That said, it was only one marker and NT and Quad were fine so my risk is super small at this point.
We had our anatomy scan this morning! Our little girl looks great and I’m still cracking up about her antics while the ultrasound tech tried to measure everything. She gave us the finger, flipped around so all we could see was her butt (the tech goes “she’s mooning us”), and repeatedly punched the placenta.
Ohh my goodness this cracked me up so much lol. Sounds like you had an amazing experience with your A.S. I'm a first time mommy & all of my ultrasounds up until my anatomy scan of my little girl she was standing on her head backwards on 2 different occasions, and one time, bless her ♥ she had the hiccups and threw her little arms up a few times and then started bouncing up in the air every time she hiccuped. From then on my mom started calling her "grandma's little 🐸". It really is quite a miracle to be pregnant and experience every bit of the good, bad, & ugly. I never thought I would ever get to be a mother, or have any children. I didn't think it was in the cards for me and God gave me this beautiful amazing angel daughter. I'm so excited and happy and January cannot come soon enough!!

I love seeing the hiccups on the U/S. Feeling them in the third tri is another thing. It gets annoying but seeing their entire body jump with a hiccup is the cutest thing.
Had my repeat scan this morning to get some images of the heart, and everything looked great! They also rechecked some basic measurements and she's almost 2 lbs now by their estimates, which seems hard to believe. She was up and down (breech) today which made the scan much easier than transverse. She was sticking her finger up her nose, which she also did on the first one, lol.
Well, anatomy scan #2 was semi successful. LG proved once again that she is stubborn and camera shy. We finally got to see her face but still can't see her heart. We know it's there and she has one but they want to see the chambers/ventricles/etc. The MFM who reviewed my ultrasound wants to do a fetal echo but my nurse originally said we'd try one more ultrasound so I guess we'll see.
