Had mine Tuesday! Confirmed it was a perfectly healthy little boy! He was stubborn and facing my back so the scan took way longer than it should’ve been.
@ladystout08 I’m due 1/29 & mine is on the 12th as well! I’ll be 20 weeks on 9/11 & they wouldn’t schedule any earlier. I actually don’t even have appointments until then, jumping right from 13 weeks to 20. But ehhh being 2nd time around & team green I’ve got more patience.
Me (28) & DH (35) Met 4/2010+Married 8/2014 TTC #1 August 2016. BFP 10/2016= DD Born 6.23.17
NTNP April 2018. BFP 5/2018 EDD 1.29.19 *Team Green*
I'm due the 21st so of course my 20 weeks is on labor day and she didn't want to allow me to schedule my appointment but I wanted a later afternoon appointment so I had to promise her I wouldn't schedule it before Sept 3rd. So it's on Sept 4th.
I had mine of Wednesday, everything went fairly well. The baby is measuring just a tad small but nothing too concerning. The placenta was also pretty low and bordering my cervix but they said that's common and will likely thin and stretch at the bottom so that I won't have placenta previa by the time I am in the third tri but I have a follow up scan at 28 weeks just to make sure. We are still team green so they turned off the monitor when it came time to examine the anatomy of the baby that would give away the sex.
I am due the 23rd and my midwife said at my August 15th appointment we will find out the sex. I am hoping we do find out because I would love to start calling the baby by the name we chose for either sex.
Mine is 8/14 and I will be 20wks on the nose. I'm excited and now a little anxious to make sure everything is looking good and on schedule growth wise. We had some growth scares with DS (his femurs didn't measure right and his nasal bone measurements were wonky at one point too) which is probably the reason behind my anxiety.

I have mine at 11:00 AM EST today. I am freaking the f*ck out. Had ultrasound dreams all night last night. I basically have two fears: 1) that they'll tell me baby is too small because there's an issue with the placenta (I had a low placental growth factor result in my 1st tri blood screening) or 2) that my cervix is shortening which is related to the cramping I'm feeling. I don't have my next OB appointment until September 4th so you best believe I'll be calling the office incessantly to get results before then. I hope the tech can at least give me reassurance today that things are OK...FX! I'll update this post this afternoon.
Edit to Update: Tech was pretty tight lipped (although she asked me if I wanted to know the sex which I was surprised about - I held strong and said no!) but she did say baby was measuring appropriately for gestational age, which is a relief! Baby was a-movin' and a-shakin' the entire time and we got some super cute pics. They also did a TV u/s to check my cervix, but I'll have to wait for my doctor for those results. Hopefully I hear back by early next week. There was a trainee in my u/s today so the whole scan took about 1.5 hours because after the trainee finished, the u/s tech re-did the entire scan for comparison. My poor bladder....

U/S 19May - one bean measuring on track with a HB of 125! EDD: 07Jan2019 Team Green My Rainbow Baby Boy born 03Jan2019
We had our scan this morning. Baby weighed exactly 1/2 a pound, HB was 146. And she's a girl! DS was a little disappointed he's not having a brother. In fact, he said he was going to run away and not share his toys. But he's come around to the idea already, I think. We're cutting a cake later to reveal the sex to immediately family!
@tosh24 hopefully since the tech didn’t say anything, your cervix was looking good! When I had issues with mine with DD, the tech stepped out during the scan and called the on-call doctor in L&D then came back in and told us that my cervix was too short and I needed to go straight to L&D as soon as she got the rest of the measurements she needed for the AS. So fingers crossed that it’s all good for you when you get ahold of your doc!
@tosh24 yay for good measurements and cute pictures! Especially after such bad dreams about the ultrasound. I get dreams like that before scans too and they are the worst. FX everything looks good with your cervix as well. Like someone else mentioned, if there was something wrong I’m sure they would have done something while you were in the office.

We had our anatomy scan this morning! Our little girl looks great and I’m still cracking up about her antics while the ultrasound tech tried to measure everything. She gave us the finger, flipped around so all we could see was her butt (the tech goes “she’s mooning us”), and repeatedly punched the placenta.

Had mine last Monday! Already knew it was a girl from the very beginning (IVF+) but this one confirmed she is still measuring about 4 to 5 days ahead. Anyone else have a big baby so far?
I also got my cervix checked due to previous biopsy and it looks good
AS was this morning and actually went better than expected. I had to have 2 AS w/ my DS#1 b/c he was not cooperative so I fully expected the same thing when this baby wasn't being cooperative for the first 10 mins but she was able to get all the measurements and everything looked good. It's also a little eerie b/c his measurements were spot on with DS#1 (big head and long legs) and their profiles looked identical to me so it was a major case of deja vu!
ETA comparison of their sonos - DS#1 on top and this DS#2 on bottom
Just had my anatomy scan this afternoon. There was NO question we’re having a boy. The tech gave us soooo many photos, a few of which included his very obvious sex. So that’s a first for the baby book (jk, jk, we won’t try to embarrass him *that* much at his HS graduation party). Everything looks great! @greenhillgirl Our baby is measuring 6 days ahead according to my LMP, the same amount he was measuring ahead at at the 12 week u/s. DD also always measured 1-2 weeks ahead and broke my water right at 38 weeks. Guess we’ll see if these big LOs also come a little early!
The anatomy scan went well today! We're waiting on official results from the OB, but the tech said she thought everything looked good. We're deeeeefinitely having a boy lol. He's measuring 4 days ahead, which isn't too surprising given our heights.
Had my AS yesterday. They confirmed again she was a girl. They said everything looked good except one of the kidneys. They see cysts on one of the kidneys. I've spent much of the last 24 hours trying to digest this. I go back in 2 weeks for them to check again, not a clue what comes after that. The doc did say "there is not a concern for fetal or childhood health" aka you can live with 1 kidney. Anyone hear anything like this either personally or from friends?
I'm trying not to stress, I slept soundly last night which means I'm at least partially succeeding with that. I am scheduling a reiki session or two because I can't do much else to impact the outcome of this.
@ersh1010 I don't know if it's helpful information in the case of your baby, but I have cysts on and in both of my kidneys and they still work pretty well even after many years of use A lot of times the cysts are completely benign (mine are, they just keep an eye on them over the years and check urine, etc). They will probably keep an eye on your baby's cysts to see if they grow, change, or completely go away (always an option). If the cysts wind up causing trouble, they can remove them surgically (I hear it's not that bad, but I've never done it). AND, as you said, we really only need one healthy kidney (not reassuring, but good to know).
@ersh1010 a friend of mine just had this issue, her son was born last week and they're just monitoring them via U/S for now. His kidneys are functioning fine so they're not too worried.
@ersh1010 DD had calcium spots (they had some long technical name but I can’t remember it) around her kidneys when we had our AS. They sent us to an MFM about six weeks later and by then, they couldn’t see them anymore. They said they had dissolved on their own. They did a scan on her abdomen after she was born before we were discharged to go home and everything looked good. I know that’s not the same as a cysts but things change quickly as babies develop in utero. Sounds like the doctor isn’t worried, so I hope you can feel some relief in that!
Baby's scan was great! They said everything looked good and baby is measuring just a little ahead but they aren't adjusting my due date. I resisted and remained team green but I did let the tech tell DH so he already knows. I do think I saw a boy body part when she was just looking around in the beginning of the scan so I'm pretty pretty confident it's a boy but I'll find out for sure in a couple months!
Had ours today! We already knew it was a boy going into it, but visually confirmed now as well. He’s measuring 2 days ahead and in the 60th percentile. We won’t get the report back until next week but crossing our fingers everything is fine. Also rocked my maternity overalls today and they are my favorite purchase of the pregnancy so far.
We had our A/S yesterday and they said that the baby looked great and was perfectly healthy. We found out we are having a little boy! He was measuring maybe a few days behind but said that is normal and leaving my due date the same (especially since DD was on the smaller side). He was napping pretty solid and doing yoga all in my belly. His position totally explains the pains and twinges I feel at night and the urge to pee all the time.
We had out anatomy scan on Tuesday and we found out we're having a girl! We already have a boy and if DH gets his way this could be out last baby, so I'm super super super excited to have a daughter! Our ultrasound tech was so great, I've have some terrible ones before so I was really grateful. She took a ton of pictures for use including some adorable profile pics of baby girl sucking her thumb! She's very healthy and measuring a few days ahead, about the 70% percentile. Due date is the same. She was so active in there and moving around a ton!
I had the anatomy scan today. There was a tense moment when the ultrasound tech said the nuchal cord was measuring on the high end of normal. For those who don't know, that's a strong indicator for down syndrome. She took several measurements, finished up and went to get the doctor. As soon as the doc came in I told her what the tech said. Then the doc steps in and goes right for the brain and head measurements, and she says out loud "that's bigger than I'd like it to be." Then I start crying. She takes several measurements of the cord and figures out why the measurements are all off: the position of the baby. She said I have nothing to worry about. I had the NIPT, which put me a low risk. I reconfirmed that I have nothing to worry about. I was emotionally drained after that appointment.
I realized something as I was waiting for the doctor to finish measuring. I cried selfish tears. We all want healthy perfect babies. An unfavorable test result wouldn't change the love I have for my child.
Eveything else looks perfect on this baby. Reaffirmed we are having a girl.
@CoastieGirl79 that sounds like an emotional roller coaster, I'm glad everything turned out ok with your baby girl. What you said at the end was very sweet and made me tear up.
