We have paint!! Way too may shades of blue and DH is partially color blind so some grey/blue looked purple to him so we went with more of a blue! After seeing pictures of other nurseries I think ours is going to be boring lol
I found the exact crib I want on the FB Marketplace for $45, so we’re picking it up on Saturday. This kid will actually have a place to sleep after the first couple of months!
We finally got some progress on our nursery! Just have to get the mattress, glider, side table and dresser. Then we can wash all the clothes we have and sort them. Nesting never felt so good!

Many of the items were used for DS’s nursery, which I probably shared in the beginning. I finally finished LO’s tiny nursery this past week! We do have a dresser/bookshelf that will go on the wall next to door eventually, but I’d like to refinish it first.
Love all these pix! I’m feeling so far behind and can’t wait to start putting things together after my shower next weekend! At this point we have, um, the rug... and that’s it!
@stagray4 i love the curtains you chose, where did you find those?! lovely decor!
@ladyofarlington i love the huge windows and little nook area. what a fun layout to start from.
We still haven't even moved the guest bed and dresser out of the room yet, lol. However....the closet is now EMPTY and I'm hoping we'll be able to start setting things up soon. I'm in awe at how elaborate some of these nurseries are. Very nice decorating skills ladies!!
Finished up the nursery! Loving how the darker wall color turned out the “hello” bubble is hiding a felt name banner, haven’t done the name reveal yet!
@lolo_0924 thank you! The book shelves are an ikea hack! You buy the Mosslanda picture ledges and use them for books. They cost $10 each and come in two sizes. Used the smaller of the two sizes.
@dellusion thank you! Found a DIY pattern on the internet, wasn’t too complicated and I used felt so it was super forgiven. Could be hand or machine stitched. Here’s a link to the pattern
i got my crib, sheets and when I got the mobile out of the box it ended up being pink owls instead of the white and navy blue ones. I was sad but they are sending me the correct one. I was so excited to get it put all together guess ill have to wait another week.
@alexa_94 found this - changing pad cover I used is Kushies brand on Amazon, it fits pretty well, not great but not awful The Graco pack n play changing pad toppers say they come with straps to hold them in place A pillow case This was from 2010 - Ikea sells a pack of 2 white w/ a blue heart and white w/ a red heart for 6 bucks...they are made for a thin pad.
