We are getting everything finished slowly! Just need to finish the wall decorating and hubby is planning on putting in a closet and shelves right now I have all the baby items stuffed into the corner (left that pic out) so it’ll be nice to have some storage and shelving eventually! I should have opened the curtain to let the nice morning sun in!
@KFrob It was! I definitely loved it...and it was hard to switch to the small closet in our bedroom, but it was time! We knew when we bought the house we would have to change it back to a bedroom eventually but man those 3 years went fast
We're at a standstill with ours at the moment. I'm waiting on some frames to be restocked at target and need to order some floating shelves. I'll probably work on it more again after our shower in a few weeks.
We are going with a travel/animal theme, which isn't overly obvious just yet. Our pup has been getting quite attached to the room too!
I’m just now catching up on this thread and oh my gosh, @kiwi2628 we have such similar taste! Our wall color, crib, and rugs are so similar you’re going to laugh when you see them! Great minds think alike
Are you also doing a travel theme nursery too or am I confusing you with someone else?
@ladyofarlington I'm doing a travel theme! Hopefully will have pics by end of August!
Yes, that’s right! Yay! Can’t wait to see how our nurseries turn out when they’re done!! While I have things ordered, the only things “done” in the nursery at this point are the paint (BM Woodlawn Blue) from when our painters painted it last year haha and the blinds (which now I’m re-thinking because they have cords?!).
The rest of our nursery furniture came today! Settling on an arrangement was more difficult than planned, but this is how we will have it for now until we figure out a flow. The glider/ottoman was more intrusive to the flow of the room than we had expected.
@bntfroggie I haven't! I move next Thursday so hopefully will be able to start soon. I have the crib, bedding and change table purchased, but other than that I'm flying by the seat of my pants!

Same here lol. We're moving next week then going "shopping" at my brothers house since he just had a baby in Nov. We'll borrow a bassinet, play mat, PNP and RNP. We'll get the baby corner set up and that should set us up for homecoming at least. I've got a car seat and just need a stroller. Done!
@bntfroggie we've started...we painted, installed blinds, and curtains. Glider is in the room. Other than that, nothing else. Crib is in a box, rug is on backorder until December, and dresser is still waiting to be delivered. Honestly I'm not that worried, it will get done, eventually. I'll figure out decorations...eventually...
@bntfroggie this kid isn’t getting his own room or a nursery of any kind. He’ll be in ours in a pnp until he’s about 1 then he’ll move in with his big brother. My daughter’s room isn’t even fully done yet and she’s 19 months
@cdepperschmidt yes, it actually just happened to be rotated a bit for the pic since it swivels. It was lined up with the ottoman before my husband gave it a test run!
@bntfroggie nope. This baby will share a room with DS and I haven’t bought a crib (we got rid of ours since we thought we were done after two). I bought a crib sheet on clearance a couple of weeks ago and the baby’s clothes are sorted into plastic bins, so that’s progress or something. He’ll sleep in the bassinet in our room for the first couple of months anyway. Poor third child.
@bntfroggie we haven't really started. We have our crib and glider, but nothing is put together. The dresser is arriving soon. Baby will be sharing our room since we live in a 1br apartment. We're going out of town next week. I hope the nesting kicks in when we get back.
Speaking of third child problems - this kid doesn’t even get a room right away at our house, lol. He/she gets a corner in our room. Once baby is here I think my older two are hoping to share a room with each other and then we’ll convert DSs room to the nursery but I can’t be bothered to do it before baby comes when I know I’ll keep baby with us for 3-6 months or so anyways.
We also have two more bedrooms in the basement that are fully finished but im not ready to have DD (who will be 8) be two floors below us!
@bntfroggie not started here either! LOs dont even have a room yet, were doing a Reno and its slowly getting there. Hopefully the walls will be up and able to be painted this weekend!
We have the nursery painted, and all of the furniture either bought or coming in the next few days. Once DH installs the new lighting we are ready to go with set up! The crib arrived yesterday and it’s taking all of our energy to not just blow off weekend commitments and stay in to set up. Will hopefully have some photos to post next week!
We only have most of our junk out of the nursery. We have the crib/changing table in a box, dresser, and end table for by the recliner are also in boxes (ikea). Recliners is on hold at the store. Need to pick paint color(s). Doing a sky on the wall. Dh wants to do a darker blue on the ceiling and get glow in the dark paint for stars Not sure about the ceiling yet. He will be putting stuff together and painting in August.
@elothair That was my plan too and DH vetoed it so we moved SD and DD in together already so we could start to get the baby's room put together. Just logistically having a place for the baby's clothes and gear I'm glad we did it ahead of time. I'm usually so obsessed with organizing and planning ahead I'm shocked DH took the reins on this decision!
@bntfroggie trying really hard to get a move on it! DH is getting a little better now and started the drywall patches this week. I think it freaked him out a little when I told him that someone in our October group has already had their baby. Hopefully he will let me buy the paint this weekend! I am such a planner and it is driving me nuts that everything is in boxes still.
@beccajean71 it’s from the Crate and Barrel kids line. My husband pretty much designed the nursery, but showed me before buying stuff and I was able to give him my input. Overall very impressed with him. The rug is already loved by my dogs. One walked right onto it as soon as we unrolled it and started rub it his face all over so we shall see how nasty it looks by the time October rolls around!
@bntfroggie I was going to ask also! I am happy we finally were able to just rent a place after not finding a house, so at least I know she will have a room! We move in next week though, and then need to wait for our stuff to be delivered.

And it freaks me out a bit that all of Max’s stuff is still in boxes too!!
Mom was a busy bee while I was in the hospital and cleared out the nursery. Painting commenced today. It will be ready when Max gets home, but yeah, still doesn’t help my anxiousness...
I’d been planning on painting the nursery this weekend since H is out of town. But by the end of the day when DD goes to bed my sciatica has gotten too bad for me to do it myself. Ugh. Another thing to be put off until later...
