Re: Newbie Intro Thread w/o 07/30
How many months have you been TTC?: We are just starting, not really trying to prevent, but not actively TTC either just yet
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: just getting things back together to try again.....I was very active on these boards when we were TTC with our DS. I'm kind of on the fence about ovulation testing again & temping. I did both of them the first time, it was very helpful. I'm wondering if anyone has used the digital or the newest line of the clear blue OPK?? And has anyone recently had experience with the Ava Bracelets???
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
We have our son, he is 23 months old, growing so fast!! It's amazing and crazy and he's so much fun. I love to see the new things he learns daily!! He's constantly surprising us with a new word or phrase. We also have a chihuahua, he and our son don't really get along all that great. They have their moments......I work full time, my job is ok....nothing to write home about. I'm thankful for all of the knowledge I gained on these boards our first go round and hope that others will have some insight about the new OPK kits or the Ava bracelet and whether or not they were worth the $$.
How many months have you been TTC?: Just went off the pill and haven't started TTC yet
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, temping/charting - it took a couple cycles coming off the pill for my cycle to regulate before we started TTC with our first so I'm getting back into charting now. I'm also still breastfeeding and only just got my period back at 11 months PP so prepared for this to be a confusing/long process.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): DD will be one in a few weeks. I have always hoped for a 2-3 year age gap. I work in marketing at a tech company and I love to cook and garden (culinary herbs, fruits and veggies, not flowers).
How many months have you been TTC?: 2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Temping and charting
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): 1 child, no pets, work full time in financial services, love to be at the shore, go to sporting events and love to cook big meals for the family!
Ages (you and SO): I am 27 and DH is 38
How many months have you been TTC?: 1
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: just starting out, so watching cycle and not much else quite yet--i guess you could say getting used to all these acronyms as a start
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): no kids for now, but we have a puppy and two cats at home! I work in market research during the week and in a restaurant on the weekends so keeping pretty busy, all while trying to train for a Spartan race at the end of August. Looking forward to lurking some more on here!
How many months have you been TTC?: 12
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: BBT charting w/ FF, OPKs, PreSeed, Vitex (for Amenorrhea), Clomid (3 cycles - 2 ovulatory - without success), acupuncture, fertility yoga... everything? haha
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids yet - just our fur baby (cat) and a couple of chickens. Still trying for our first. Hoping for a lucky ovulatory cycle while we wait for our consultation at the fertility clinic.
Ages (you and SO): 23 and 27
How many months have you been TTC?: Here's where it gets a little hairy, because we actually aren't—no temping, no charting. We just stopped using BC a few months ago and are "letting the cards fall where they may" so to speak, and I'm currently in my tww
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Taking vitamins, drinking more water, eating healthier and staying zen because I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids, no pets because my SO has allergies. *TW* I had to take time from work and college for severe depression *end TW* I am better now and looking for work. My hobbies are all things beauty, sewing, making jokes, watching Netflix, and holding shower concerts with very few ticket sales.
Ages (you and SO): 33 and 37
How many months have you been TTC?: NTNP 1 but now I'm realizing I'm not easygoing enough to go about it that way
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: just started charting again - see above...
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have a DD who just turned 2, and our lovely dog who we rescued a couple of months ago after our beloved dog passed away. I work part-time as a personal trainer and group ex instructor. I love fitness, reading, writing, drawing, word puzzles, animals, astrology, fashion and beauty.
How many months have you been TTC?: 5mo/6 cycles, had Nexplanon removed in March and it's been a journey! We're going to try for a summer baby, but whatever happens is fine.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Temping/charting (I use Kindara instead of FF)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids, one pitbull/lab mix named Ellie, I'm a teacher and DH is a food and beverage director, hobbies are reading and baking. We just moved to a different state, so we're settling into our new jobs and life.
How many months have you been TTC?: 0 - I've been trying to recover from this amehorrhea first so that I can TTC. I guess I've been actively trying to get my cycle back for 2 months now.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: So far, just trying to gather enough information about overcoming amehorrhea and becoming as fertile as possible as quickly as possible. I read about FF in the pinned post so I'm installing that now hoping it can help! I also have an appt with my functional med dr. in a couple weeks to test hormones and who knows what else.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have two awesome little toddler boys and an amazing DH I've known since HS. My crunchy little family is my life. I do work full-time but I have the best of both worlds and work from home so I get to see my guys play and laugh all day while I type away. We're big on attachment parenting and boating in the beautiful Great Lakes!
How many months have you been TTC?: 19 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Just had our second IUI cycle this month (we’ve been dealing with unexplained infertility and recurrent losses for the past 5ish years).

Ages (you and SO): I am 36, DH is 37
How many months have you been TTC?: We just started this month.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I have Fertility Friend on my phone, using OPKs and I'm taking prenatal vitamins.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids, but we have a 9 year-old rescue lab mix who we adore. DH and I are both elementary school teachers, though not at the same school. I teach fifth grade and it's such a fun age group to work with! I knit, bake, and read as much historical fiction as possible.
Ages (you and SO): Both 32
How many months have you been TTC?: Starting to try this month.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: FF, OPK's and temping.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have 1 son (11 months) and DH and I are both meteorologists. Was very active on TB when we were trying for our first (took a while) and throughout our pregnancy. Still talk to the ladies that I met on here pretty much everyday!
Ages (you and SO): 28 and 34
How many months have you been TTC?: 3-4. I went off the pill at the end of April. We've been mostly NTNP until this cycle. We're actually going to try timing things this cycle, but so far I've had irregular cycles.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: HIO, trying to figure out CM, tracking with the FLO app.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Trying for our first! We have a 2.5-year-old dog. I love yoga, running, hiking, and reading.
How many months have you been TTC?: Just started not preventing a few days ago, and terrified.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Using pre-seed, tracking cycle on Fertility Friend. Also trying very hard to lose those last 10-15 lbs. to try and offset my age (I was much heavier when I had my daughter, so my warped brain tells me if I’m fitter this time around, I won’t feel the difference in my age. Ha! We’ll see about that if I’m lucky enough to get prego again).
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have one daughter who is 3, and always thought she’d be our only. For SURE. Then baby fever. I’m an author of young adult fiction (think Hunger Games and Twilight), and I run a company for aspiring authors. Hobbies include interior design, fashion, and eating Oreos.
Ages (you and SO): I'm 30 and H is 34
How many months have you been TTC?: Today starts month 5
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, temping, OPKs, SMEP, and tracking with 3 apps (which feels like too many but I just can't help myself)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have a daughter who is 21 months and a 5-year-old pup. I stay home with DD, and I love running, hiking, (some aspects of) traveling with the kiddo, and reading
How many months have you been TTC?: 8 (IUD removed in Dec 17)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Currently WFAF to return after *TW* a MMC on 7/11 & a D&C on 7/13. I may start charting after AF returns, or may just use OPKs.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have a 6yo DS & 4.5yo DD. I like traveling & cooking. I've spent quite a bit on time on TB boards in the past, although it seems lots has changed since I was super active years ago. I hope I can keep up!
DS - 7.5
DD #1 - 6
~ mmc 7.11.2018 @ 9w ~
DD#2 - born 12.24.19
How many months have you been TTC?: July was our first cycle.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I use OPKs and that’s it. I’ve read TCOYF, and understand how helpful temping is but the nature of my job doesn’t allow for any sort of consistency so my chart never really looks like anything.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have a son that turned 1 just a few weeks ago. Spend a fair amount of time star gazing, listening to true crime podcasts, and traveling. I was fairly active on my BMB and used to post here a few years ago. Thanks for having me
Ages (you and SO): I'm 37 and DH is 34.
How many months have you been TTC?: 11
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: *TW* Currently waiting for a normal cycle after a MMC and D&C last month. *End TW* Also taking prenatals, will use OPKs, and have an Ava bracelet.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have two toddlers, two Great Danes, and my husband, who is amazing. We spend our time hiking and camping, and I love to read. I've lurked on this board since last September, before moving to the February 2019 board. Now I'm back and I've decided to finally start participating.
Ages (you and SO): we’re both 36
How many months have you been TTC? 1
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Just prenatal vitamins so far
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We have a 4 year old boy and a pug. DH and I have been married for 6 years, together for 11. I went back to school to change careers when I was 30, and now have a job I love in healthcare. DS was a surprise, so TTC is new for us, but we finally feel ready to have another baby. I’m SO excited to be here!!!
ETA nevermind, looks like you already figured it out!
"It's time to try defying gravity."

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, temping/charting, acupuncture
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I've been lurking the board for a few months, and finally feel ready to jump in! We have an almost 3 year old daughter. I'm a graduate student and SO is a vegetable farmer. Love hiking, reading, dancing, and going to see live music. Looking forward to getting to know you all
Ages (you and SO): 27, 26
How many months have you been TTC?: 1
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: PNV, temping/charting with FF, OPK,
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a couple months and decided to finally participate. We're trying for our first. We have a cat named Dany (GOT fans). I'm an accountant and DH is an oil and gas landman. We love movies, board games, and traveling. DH is a huge football fan and has converted me as well. I'm excited to be here and to get to know you ladies!
How many months have you been TTC?: This will be our first month, my cycle is supposed to start next week, and first ov ttc will be mid-August.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Prenatal vitamins, was doing vitex for a few months to work on lengthening my cycles after a very wacky range of very short to very long since having DS. I have been tracking with Kindara for 6.5 years but stick mostly to entering AF and CM data.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Hello! I am really excited to be joining in. I have a 4yo DS who is eager for me to have "all the babies", and a big beautiful 8yo dog who is truly a furry baby (and sleeps in the bed with us). I am a sahm, taking hiatus from the hustle and bustle of digital marketing consulting. I love camping, have a book "problem" (a little too many in-progress) and have been spending some time this year learning a few arts like weaving and rug crocheting or just generally trying to figure out how to sew again.
**edit for spelling
Ages (you and SO): 31&35
How many months have you been TTC?: NTNP for several months, but really WFAF
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: **TW loss&child mentioned** I am still waiting for my first postpartum AF which could take awhile with BFing, then I’ll start temping and tracking. I have PCOS and I previously took metformin, thyroid meds and LP progesterone, had one early loss, and did a few monitored cycles of Femara while TTC#1. **/end TW**
I have no expectations for how the journey will go this time or how much support my body will need. I may be in a holding pattern for awhile before I start actively TTC but I’m happy to support others and share knowledge where I can!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Hey all, I was active while TTC #1 and am glad to be back here in some fantastic company. We have one DD who is almost 10 months and a Havanese (really our first child) who is almost 4. I am an ER nurse by trade and SAHM at the moment. We recently moved across the country so my hobbies include unpacking, indecisiveness in where to hang pictures and a steady rotation of beach, bike rides and pool time.

I stopped around a month ago because I have been taking a number of other supplements to improve gut health and build up my blood. I could ramble on about this quite a bit.. but it seems like my wonky cycle and health is tied to my inability to digest food or absorb nutrients properly. I am hoping that the combination of bettering digestion + taking my prescribed supplements and prenatal may equate to hormones balancing out a bit.

@virginiaham- Hey lady!! sorry about your loss, and congrats on your DD. Happy to see some familiar names still around!
@businessmama- Hi- it's nice to see some familiar names in the group! We aren't being anywhere near as serious as we were our last go round. It's nice to get back in touch with people who are on the journey though and have helpful insight!
How many months have you been TTC?: off and on for several years. Deployments, moving and some anxiety has forced breaks at times. I was a member years ago.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: working to get my cycle into a somewhat normal rhythm, finally having some success. PCOS is a joke. Tracking via Fitbit right now and of course sex.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No babies but we live on a farm so we have everything from bees to horses. DH is getting ready to start police academy and I work part time retail/administration and full time farm.
