I just lost my mind on my candidates campaign manager. I manage social media content and I have a schedule and a plan for all the content that gets posted. So WHY did he decide to just publish a bunch of stuff I had drafted all at once? Like, do you want my job? Have it.
That is super annoying!!! Ugh. I don’t blame you at all. I would have lost it too.
Three posts, all in less than 45 mins. WHY? One of them was time sensitive which is why it was first on the docket but the others could have waited.
Guys, there's this weird glowing orb in the sky today. It seems vaguely familiar, like a memory of a dream from before the Eternal Rainy Times. It kind of hurts my eyes. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?!?

It's happening here too! Could it be the end of times? Is it the light at the end of tunnel?

This is a couple years old, but entirely on point:
We booked our newborn lifestyle photoshoot and I'm so excited were going to splurge and do it. I never even got the hospital photos when ds was born so I'm glad I planned wayyy ahead and booked this.
Here’s a super random: I technically became a great aunt yesterday. I’m not even 30.
Backstory: I have a half brother that’s 15 years older than me. He passed away when I was 5. Due to a lot of family junk that happened after his death, we didn’t have much contact with his daughter from the time she was around 2 years old until she started college. Now we’ve had a little contact, and I’m FB friends with her. She’s 23 and married now and had a baby yesterday. So, though I will likely not really know this baby, I have a great nephew.
Married: May 2012 DS1: May 2016 DS2: Jan 2019 Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
@ladystout08 and @AshVA there was supposed to be a SpaceX launch. Could that be it?
@snackheart I didn’t get back on to update last (West Coaster here). Baby #3 is another girl! DD1 is very excited and I’m excited for DD2 and this one because they will be so close in age.
FFThC: MH and I did have a little mourning period last night about the fact that we will never have a boy. It I think the excitement of watching my girls grow up together is taking over.
Last night at 10 pm I decided to browse for maternity clothes on pink blush and motherhood. By the time I got to motherhood it was 11pm and they were having a sale that only lasted until midnight. 50% off with an additional 30% with an additional 10% since I was new. I got 9 things for less then $60. I was so excited. I was going to post in the deals thread but there was only 30 minutes left of the sale by the time I was done. I got so many cute work items. I've been having a hard time with my weekend wardrobe so I am really happy.
@alexandraseattle RIGHT! Some of my favorite questions have been about the "dangers" of masturbating while pregnant, if you can get pregnant twice, "can I work in the first trimester?" etc... Do these people have a doctor? Clearly they have the internet can't you just....Google it? Not saying Google's a doctor, but these questions are absurd quite a confidence boost as a FTM I must say
@galactickates that's an awesome deal! I hope they work for you!
I just got my Motherhood order from last week's sale delivered this week (3 pants + 3 tank tops for about $50) and I looooove all of the items. The pants all fit great and are dark skinny pants/thick jeggings which is just my style. Ha. Wearing the Jessica Simpson jeggings now. I do have to pull them up on occasion since I'm not showing too much yet, but it's not bad. I look and feel so much better not being squeezed like a sausage into my normal pants. I thought I wouldn't "need" proper maternity clothes but just a few basics have honestly made a huge difference.
@kianarain there are SO many good ones. Right now there's one asking if chicken wings were safe to eat, another that "feels the baby kicking" even though the HPT and her Dr said she was NOT pregnant. It's basically yahoo answers.
@merostomata PARGNET hahahaahahahahaa. I legit had to think about "starch masks" for a long time before realizing I THINK he meant stretch marks?? I also saw one that 'felt the baby kicking' at 5 weeks... Like I'm not a doctor but 99.9999% sure that's impossible, unless you're growing something supernatural.
Outdoor prenatal water aerobics tonight (yay for sun shining!). Im glad I have fitness activities lined up, but I'm also salty because tbh I'd rather laze on the couch. Typical workout push/pull, lol
Just saw this article about "modern nurseries" in the Washington Post, and I'm giving major side eye to almost everything listed - especially the "splurge" items, but lots of the "save" items also:
Oh goodness.. the day I would ever spend that much money on nursery items.. and those mobiles are ridiculous.. I thought studies showed that young babies like brightly colored high contrast items??
I put a lot of thought/money into how we decorate our condo and that will carry over into our nursery but that design is all around pretty lame. That clear crib is terrible.
@AliKay20 yes, we will get through this together! My brain is starting to accept it and think he/him when I think about the baby. It is super weird for me since I was team green last pregnancy and have literally never thought of my own inside baby as anything other than "it".

I'm working half a day from Starbucks before taking my kid to his 15 month check up, and then DH and I are going to a Smashing Pumpkins concert tonight in Baltimore. I'm really excited! I also picked the Starbucks next to Target so I can wander over there and check out their maternity and new Harry Potter stuff.

@kns1988 yesssss HP target shopping! It's my fave.
Also I think I have a serious lemonade problem... I've been addicted lately. Everywhere we go 'do you have lemonade? what's the biggest size?" AND if they have the little mini Sonic-like ice (almost like snow cone ice, but a little bigger) it's game over.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they did it again today, only this time it was something I wasn't aware of, that wasn't on my schedule and is getting minimal views b/c they posted at a terrible time. I went straight to my candidate this time. Let me do my job.
Omg I just had the best poop. After weeks of bouncing between constipation and diarrhea, I want to shout from the rooftops!!! Oh pregnancy, you are disgusting.
I have the world's dumbest question, but I am a FTM, so go easy on me. My sister just asked me to babysit her 4y and 2y old kids tomorrow for 4 hours... is there something I need to do with them? We have toys, coloring books, a TV... They like me and I spend a lot of time with them, just not alone Any moms with advice on what I should do with them? Do I need to take them to the pool or something?

They have that kind of ice at most grocery store if you go ask back in the meat department.
@wkuandrea You'll be fine! Crafts, baking, some quiet time/storytime, walks, a trip to the park... Kids are easily amused. Just watch for that over-tiredness. We have our nieces and nephews over and it's really not difficult at all.
@libertymomrn best advice ever!!! My partner's work has it and I ask him to fill up his water bottle with ice only before he comes home lol. I've always been an ice lover, but it's getting out of control w pregnancy.
@kianarain yes to the lemonade!! I bought a pink lemonade mix so I can have it at home. A friend gave me her regular lemonade mix because she said she'd never use it. I was thinking JACKPOT! Lol

You don’t need to do anything big with them. Just make sure you have snacks or a meal if you’ll have them at mealtime. Orherwise just hanging out with them is just fine.
@kianarain I had to get a ton of that ice for my mom when she was going through cancer treatments; I would buy it from the meat counter by the bagful.
@wkuandrea like others have said just have food handy. You can do something or nothing. They'll be happy to be with you. I probably wouldn't do the pool with those ages alone though.
I'm all about the limeade! Wendy's is so delicious and the simply brand. Yum
to jump on the lemonade/limeade train: if you have a Blaze Pizza in your area, they have this amazing blood orange lemonade, OMG. I'm also a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A lemonade (UO: I actually don't really like Chick Fil A food). Sonic has some pretty good nugget ice lemonades too
@wkuandrea whatttt?! You don’t like chick-fil-a? In fairness I try not to eat there for moral reasons - BUT, that doesn’t change the fact that their chicken sandwiches are literally THE BEST fast food chicken available.

Their hockey sandwiches have definitely been among my more common cravings this pregnancy. But it may partially be because they are so delicious.
What moral reasons do you do you have for not liking them? I refuse to eat at KFC because of the disgustingly inhuman way their chicken are treated both throughout their life and when they are killed. Chick-fil-A does not have those issues, from what I’ve looked into.
