  • oops!  Fourth option:

    - I want to stay on Bump for a few more months and make the move when babies are closer to term (Sept 23 for official move date?)
  • There’s actually lots of problems with polls.  :)

We could also just set up a separate discussion rather than an anonymous poll.
  • We can title it "Statistics 101".

@nasalot188 I LOVE it! We want to redo our stairs soon also and I've been looking for a grey carpet runner just like this, where did you find it?!
    BFP #1: due 6/17/2013, DD born 6/25/13
    BFP #2: due 6/30/2017, MMC found 12/7/2016
    BFP #3: due 10/21/2018
  • I’m definitely interested in moving to FB, just not yet. I didn’t move until after baby was born last time.
  • That's beautiful, @nasalot188! Well done to your husband.
  • @nasalot188 - that looks incredible!
  • @bel194 thanks!! The runner was the most frustrating part to find tbh. We looked on Wayfair, Carpet Stores, and everything was so expensive it was crazy. We finally found this one at Lowe's! It was cheap and you just buy it by foot. Was really easy to install too.

  • @knottieamusements @sliztee thanks guys! I'll let him know the bumpies approve ;)
  • Well, I hear that OB's are pretty flexible with writing out uncomfortable pregnant women...
  • I’ve started a poll.  Please both vote and leave a comment.  :)
  • @chopchop25 - FYI - you totally inspired the addition of the 5th option to the Facebook poll...

    I don't think that's a good thing...

  • @chopchop25 - Haha.  You aren’t the only one who does that.  :)  This is for Science!!

Well, I'm not sure you guys are aware...

I'm "taking maternity leave" for the bennies. I'm not suuuure if I'll return.

ETA: Meaning, I'm okay with taking my disability and PFL earlier, but some of you might not want to. Although, you could just forego pay or use your PTO if you go out earlier. In my situation, it makes no difference. @sammierose464

  • @nasalot188 Your stairs look awesome! Our stairs have a red runner that looks like rugs in my grandmas house. We talked about changing it but just have never gotten around to it. We will have to check out Lowe’s if we ever get around to it!

I finally got a little sleep after our stressful week with our dog being sick, and now today I am so hungry! I have eaten all my snacks and my lunch...I haven’t eaten as much as normal the past few days so I didn’t pack a second lunch and I’m terribly regretting that decision. And I’ve already decided we are getting ice cream tonight because I need a Heath flurry with chocolate ice cream...

  • Just catching up here... @chopchop25 ugh I’m so sorry you have to deal with your mom being like that! Whenever I have family acting like that, I just try my best to ignore it and go on with my own life. I tell myself it’s not worth my stress to get worked up because of someone else’s crazy. Hugs to you though!

Re: Facebook, I’ll head over to the poll on that one, but I feel like waiting a little longer is probably better. We’ll see what the majority thinks though!

I have wifi for a few hours!!
  • @spartan4life I love heath, I feel like it's such an under rated candy bar.

On a side note our architect came back with an estimate on just her portion of the cost.  $4500 that amount of money on an architect makes my heart cry.  That's not even having any of the actual work done.  Yes I know it's their livelihood and we get plans we can show to contractors and get estimates, but sweet baby gee, I don't think I can go through with that.  We will need to shop around.
BFP 2/11/15 (EDD 10/13/15). MMC 3/30/15 D&C 4/3/15 "We will always love you"
DD1 - BFP 7/23/15 (EDD 3/31/16).  "We believe in you rainbow" DOB 4/2/16
    DD2 - BFP 2/9/18 (EDD 10/19/18).  "Grow baby grow!" DOB 10/24/18
    BFP 11/16/20 (EDD 7/31/21).  "Round 3 FIGHT!"
  • @bntfroggie I may have accidentally reported you with my fat fingers. I'm so sorry! I'm gonna try to see if I went through and cancel it or do whatever. Ugh!

thankfully, if I get put on medical leave from my dr I get STD. Not sure how it affects my FMLA though...
  • @bntfroggie are there contractors that will do the architectural drawings as part of the project cost? I have no clue about any of this kind of stuff but we are planning on starting an addition project next fall so I feel like I need all the info!
  • Unless the contractor is a licensed architect, they need architect sign off on any designs over a certain size. I can't remember that size limit off the top of my head.
  • Right, @sammierose464, but I believe you still only get 6 or 8 weeks of STD, right? I'm a little shaky on the details and I qualify for an additional 10 weeks of Paid Family Leave because I'm in NY, so I'll at least have 16 weeks of paid leave + whatever PTO I use to supplement my income.
  • If I'm taken off of work early due to a medical issue, it does not count toward my labor STD weeks. It's considered a separate claim, but it does go toward my overall 6 months.
  • @sammierose464 thanks that’s good to know for planning purposes!

@sammierose464 do you mean architect there or engineer? I could be totally wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure you never need an architect, but for some projects if it is involved enough or large enough, you would need an engineer to sign off on the plans. It may depend on where you are and the town/city rules though, so I don’t know.
  • You're overall 6 months of maternity leave, @sammierose464? Do you know what the disability claim is called? Maybe I can research it.
