@laurengon82 Awe try not to beat yourself up too much right now. You still have time, maybe it just started implanting so hcg might not have had much time to increase just yet.

@laurengon82 congratulations!! Don’t worry about the line being lighter... different urine dilutions, different ink amounts... nothing is ever apples to apples.
About me: *TW*
Me:

TTC #1 June of 2014 9/14 BFP, baby boy EDD 5/18/15.
Elias (Eli) born 5/13/15 7lb0oz, 19 inches.
Surprise BFP 10/15, live
ectopic, lost ruptured tube on 11/5/15 at 8 weeks
Started TTC #2 2/16
HSG 1/18 after no BFPs- diagnosed w/ tubal infertility and referred to RE
@laurengon82 Agree with the other girls! A positive is a positive! Totally depends on time of day and how concentrated your urine is! Keep telling yourself every day. "Today I am pregnant!!"
As for me, please talk me off the ledge ladies...caved and took a hot today and got a bfn...like stark white cant even will the illusion of a second line this morning fmu st 6dp5dt. I know it's still kind of early but with the dropping estrogen level and the bfn I've been ugly crying all morning :-( My RE had basically said this wa as my last chance before we have to use a gestational carrier and I want to be pregnant so bad!

@mayflower513 thank you. @MSU_Girl1202 thank you. I wish I could help talk you off the ledge, but it is still early. I’m right there with you, I’ve been crying all morning.
I just have to wait and see what happens with the beta. It just doesn’t seem very promising. I’m just freaked out with the barely there line with a morning pee. Makes me think hcg is going down and here I go with another cp.
@lysslyss21: Don't give up hope yet! I have a friend with a 2 year old whose beta started at 7! Everything crossed for a great doubling number for your next one!

@mayflower513 I’m 8 days past a 6 day blast transfer. I’ve googled and YouTubed what it should look like at this point. Probably not a great idea. Doesn’t look hopeful.
@lysslyss21 I’m sorry it’s not higher. Does your re or nurses think it’s a cp? My first transfer in January my beta came back at 8. They told me to stop taking meds. Hopefully they have you get a second beta.
Thanks @laurengon82@MSU_Girl1202 I am to continue meds with another beta Friday. I'm so bummed. I keep thinking about how I should have my daughter here if I didn't deliver her at 20 wks due to incompetent cervix in November . My CP in April my first beta was 49 so this 15 isn't looking pretty. Plus the fact that I had positive hpts makes me think my hcg is on the way down.
@lysslyss21 I'm so sorry you had to go through that. IF and RPL are just awful! Just keep reminding yourself it's not over until beta says so and this is a different pregnancy! Easier said than done right? I've been depressed all day about my bfn this am and am trying so hard to listen to my own advice...

@lysslyss21 I am sorry, but like others have said it's not about the starting number it's about how much it goes up and how fast. I wish you all the luck I can give that the number will look good on your next draw.
@laurengon82 and @MSU_Girl1202 I wouldn't worry about the hpt quiet yet, generally I haven seen that at 9dpt is a fairly good tell but again some ladies don't get a positive til beta and go to have healthy babies. You aren't out til the Dr says you are out.

@beachbunnyxo123 good luck tomorrow, what time do they normally call after blood work? I usually get blood work done around 8am and don't get a call til after 1pm (pure torture when it's later). What do you plan to do to keep your mind busy while waiting for the call?
@MSU_Girl1202 7pdt is still early. Try not to count yourself out yet. Lots of things could be a valid reason for an hpt being negative still. One is the sensitivity, dpt, quality of the test ect. Like I said before you aren't out til your Dr says so. Not even with a low first beta. Hang in there Monday is right around the corner (though it probably feels months away) and you will get something then.

My next dilemma is my little brother gets married in Mexico in April so do we wait awhile to make sure we can attend or just keep going back to back.. ughhhh
@lysslyss21 Hahaha I thought that was the term everyone used since I've been using it for years...maybe it's just my girlfriends and I. It's the "what the f*#&" appointment after a failed cycle where your dr tries to explain to you what went wrong and what he/she will change for the next cycle.

@MSU_Girl1202 what type of HPT are you using? The wondfos are terribly inconsistent and are rated with a minimum sensitivity of 25 hcg. In my last cycle, I had betas: 6.5 (6dp5dt) and 24.3 (8dp). Pink wondfo didn’t pick up either. FRER did pick up both so I’m a FRER convert. Also found other documentation online that FRER could pick up HCG of 6.
To that point, which tests are you using @laurengon82? Although the FRERs were sensitive enough to show a line, the darkness was pretty variable and I drove myself crazy with lightening lines despite verified HCG increases. I hope it’s not a CP so fx for your beta tmw.
Finally, @lysslyss21, hang in through your second beta. My initial beta 6dp5dt was 6.5. I was convinced it was chemical (bc FRER line got lighter on 8dpt), but it did double to 24.3. I’m not sure what dpt you were, but you’re not out. I just hope it keeps doubling and you have an uneventful 40 weeks. *TW* my 2nd transfer ended with spotting at 6w and no HB at 7w.
@northbeach3 I’m using frer tests. I took a third test this morning that was even lighter than yesterday’s. I didn’t even think it was possible to get a lighter line than yesterday. I’m completely expecting to hear it’s another cp. That will be my 3rd in a row. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you’re doing ok. You have had a lot to deal with since our IVF cycles in January.
@MSU_Girl1202 I always get wtf appointments too! Lol
@lysslyss21 I’m definitely not going to be the exception either. I’ve spent the last two days being very upset. I just hope that I’m ok when I get the results. I hope it doesn’t trigger me again because I already know what to expect.
Hi all, my transfer is tomorrow. I’m so excited and full of nerves.
I like what you said @mandurz about it not being over till the doc says it is. Given that, we decided to not do any HPTs.... will be tough, but I’ll have to hide them away! Lol.
@mo777, Good luck tomorrow! Sending lots of sticky vibes your way!
@northbeach3 Unfortunately, I'm using FRER and they're all coming up as negative :-( So pretty sure I'm out (especially if tomorrow's 8dp5dt continues to be negative)

Well boo, I’m sorry to hear that you’re still getting BFN’s @MSU_Girl1202. Did you say your RE is going to have you move to a gestational carrier? Have you had RPL? IF is a beast and not for the faint of heart!
@laurengon82 I forget, did you do PGS testing? A third CP will be devastating, no doubt. And you’re absolutely right that any future positive cycles will only be riddled with worry and anxiety. My fingers are crossed that you have a wonky batch of FRERs and your HCG is still doubling. Will you have your second beta on Sunday or Monday?
I still have 4 frosties but they’re not tested. The idea of having positive beta after positive beta but never making it past 8 weeks is both scary and mentally exhausting to me. My WTF appt is in mid July. I’m hoping I can have the blood clotting tests done, but I’m also worried the remaining embryos are all abnormal. I think my doc is okay to do transfer after transfer but at some point I’d rather do a new IVF cycle and pay for testing this time around. IF is a cruel bitch. (((Shakes fist)))
@mo777 I plan on doing hpt and still have to hide it away lol. I have almost no self control when it comes to that so I am trying really hard to restrain myself til July 6th which will be 9dpt and will absolutely be using a frer. Good luck today! Hope all goes smoothly and perfect. What time is your transfer scheduled for?

@northbeach3 mine were not pgs tested. We absolutely cannot afford it unfortunately. It depends on what the beta comes back at. In January it came back at 8, but it was a full 2 weeks after transfer. They did not have me do a second beta. The re said at that point it should have at least been close to 100. I wouldn’t be surprised if my hcg has dropped below what is considered positive by now. Yesterday’s test was barely even visible. I’ll get the results sometime between 4-6:30. Probably closer to 6:30 if it’s the doctor calling. He usually calls with the bad news.
@mo777... What time is your transfer scheduled for?
12:30. I’ll go in early so my acupuncturist can do a treatment just before, and then again right after. I have my sofa and season 2 of Glow lined up for when I get home.
We have 7 pgs tested embryos and we are planning to transfer the #1 recommended one today.
Sorry I’m on mobile and can’t see your sig, @laurengon82 but do you still have embryos to transfer? Have you considered what your next course of action might be? I’ve seen that the ERA is supposed to identify best time to transfer for successful implantation. WIth a CP, I don’t know if it’s still considered successful implantation bc you still get a positive beta... so maybe ERA isn’t helpful? Has your doc given you any guesses as to what might be going on?
@mandapanda1421 I did ask my RE and he said it would be too risky to thaw, biopsy, and refreeze. I wish he would have told me that before I declined testing. Honestly, I don’t know if it would have changed my choice bc I was worried about not having anything to test and wanting to move forward with fresh transfer but I feel like I have seen ladies get testing after freeze. I’m hoping the genetic testing from this D&C will provide more info but won’t know until mid July. The results from the first one was inconclusive bc the results were normal female but he said they could have sample my cells. V. Frustrating.
Congrats on transfers @mandurz and @mo777! Fx for sticky embies.
@northbeach3 I have one embryo left. I’m always mobile too. I don’t even think I know how to set up a signature. The last time my re mentioned era testing, but he said he was giving me all options. He didn’t seem to think that it’s something I needed though. He said most people that didn’t have pgs done don’t do an era. He did say that there is still a greater chance that the embryos were abnormal than something else. I don’t know what he is going to say at this point. It seems unexplained right now. He said sometimes even after doing everything you can it still just doesn’t work. I don’t know. I think I’m going to try to use my last embryo in August, and if that doesn’t work I guess another full cycle asap to get more embryos. I’d love a break, but financially it is better for me to just keep going. My deductible is met, and I haven’t paid much aside from copays and meds for these last two transfers. If I have to do another full cycle, I need to have it done before the end of the year.
Re: June 2018 FET
@laurengon82 Awe try not to beat yourself up too much right now. You still have time, maybe it just started implanting so hcg might not have had much time to increase just yet.

Beta of 15... looks like another CP....

@lysslyss21 I’m sorry it’s not higher. Does your re or nurses think it’s a cp? My first transfer in January my beta came back at 8. They told me to stop taking meds. Hopefully they have you get a second beta.

Rooting for you ladies with betas tmw.

@lysslyss21 I’m definitely not going to be the exception either. I’ve spent the last two days being very upset. I just hope that I’m ok when I get the results. I hope it doesn’t trigger me again because I already know what to expect.
I like what you said @mandurz about it not being over till the doc says it is. Given that, we decided to not do any HPTs.... will be tough, but I’ll have to hide them away! Lol.

@lysslyss21 and @beachbunnyxo123 good luck on your betas today!
@MSU_Girl1202 when is your beta?
We have 7 pgs tested embryos and we are planning to transfer the #1 recommended one today.
@mo777 happy transfer day!!!! Let us know how it goes!
Sending strength to those with betas today!
