Omg you guys are really the best!! I’d @ you all, but so many of you replied it’s a bit overwhelming! (Ive been up since 4am preparing for a meeting with my CEO, and just checked this thread. Bc why not ask for a past due promotion before you’re out for 4m!).
Really appreciate all your thoughts and kind words and advice. It’s a bad situation, but I see my Ob tomorrow, my husband is coming with me this time, and we aren’t leaving until we have firm answers and a clear plan. I’m even going to email the doctor today so she knows my expectations for the appointment and hopefully comes prepared this time. Not quite sure how it will all shake out... but something has to give and fast. It’s unprofessional and borderline unethical. FX resolution is ahead soon.
@zande2016 my first thought is - was the machine messed up, but if it then also went to a decent reading for 20 min that's weird. Hope MFM has some ideas or helps push to get it moved up. Also the random golf swing is hilarious.
Well the MFM was no help, he was basically just concerned with teaching me to use insulin. My BP was high when I got there, which I attribute to having just worked a few hours and being really stressed about letters due today and clients not getting back to me etc. More proof that my job is negatively affecting my health. Anyway, he said just to back for your next test on Friday. so I’m still not really reassured but I guess it’s good he wasn’t concerned.
Has anyone else noticed @acunamatada hasn’t been around the last couple days? Did you end up going into labor after all those contractions?? Still waiting to see when our first spontaneous labor will happen
@zande2016 well that isn't helpful - I would just do kick counts until then. Honestly they don't have me doing any NST's post hospitalization, just kick counts. And you're right! I feel like I was just talking to her but that's because of playing catch up...looks like her last post was 6/17.
Well I'm just going to try and jump back in after almost 3 months of lurking. I got laid off at 6 months. It was devastating. I was making 70% of our income plus health insurance. DH doesn't have a well paying job (his take home doesn't even cover the mortgage). I have applied to tons of places and gone on several interviews, but let's be real, no one hires anyone who is super pregnant. I am still unemployed, but I have come to terms with it. We are eating through our savings and DH's parents have been helping us out a little bit financially which has really helped my mental state. I was already suffering from anxiety and this has not helped. I ended up being eligible for unemployment which has helped a little too. We were able to get on DH's insurance, but it was really scary because his company was getting bought the same time I got laid off. His insurance started the day after my old insurance ended. Talk about down to the wire! It's not all bad as I have been able to rest a lot because I don't have to commute or work. Although in the past week my BP is high and the OB said she only thinks I will make it another week, maybe two (currently 35+5) and that freaks me out because I was assuming I would be going a week over as a FTM.
Enough about me, CONGRATS to all the ladies who have had their babies! The rest of us are in the home stretch!!
Sorry I didn't come back sooner, every time I was going to I lost the nerve (anxiety/stress? idk)
@moguippy Sorry to hear about your job and interviews. Hopefully you’ll be able to find something good after you have your baby. Happy to have you back!
@moguippy wow that's a lot! So sorry u got laid off, but it's good that you are getting some support from your ILs. Is YH able to get a better paying job or is he maxed out for his profession? It is so hard to find work while you're pregnant and I am sorry u put all that work in for no return. What were u doing before?
@moguippy So sorry to hear about the layoff! That's super stressful. My company is being bought while I am on leave and even the uncertainty of that is stressful. Glad to hear family is helping and you at least got insurance figured out.
As for me, I posted yesterday in the symptoms thread but I had a super bad headache/migraine yesterday that even woke me up from sleep the night before. I called in and they obviously had me come in. The labs and blood pressure in the office looked good but they had be do a 24hr urine collection and go back in today for another blood pressure check. The blood pressure still looked good, but I just got a call that my urine results came back high so they need me to be checking blood pressure at home now. I will be 37 weeks on Thursday and as of yesterday I just want this baby out....

@MrsMiller8588 oh man - keep us posted. I've been having a daily headache/migraine since Saturday but since tylenol cuts it they haven't been concerned...think I might push a little harder at my appointment on Thursday. I thought protein alone was enough to indicate need for induction?
@moguippy I’m so sorry, I know how stressful that is. My H lost his job back in February and it was honestly maybe the scariest moment of my adult life when he told me that. I really hope you find something soon and take advantage of any unemployment or family help you can get until then.
@gingerbride26 I think I've heard they need two things combined, but I am no expert... they just reiterated to call immediately if I experience any number of symptoms and to start the BP check at home, but said I would be fine until my appointment on Friday. I had a slight headache this morning but it went away with tylenol so they didn't seem concerned about it. I will br repeating labs Friday, but all my spot check urines have been fine, just the 24 hr one was elevated (which is more accurate).

Can I just spam this thread? I keep forgetting things to say... Got a text from my coworker/friend today that the staff want to throw me a sprinkle next week! I have been vocal about how I donated or sold all of my baby stuff last summer, but I never expected or asked for a shower. I did not decline, btw. I am excited for free breakfast food most of all. I was thinking of getting them each a small margarita mix with rum or something summery like that as thank you, and Red Stripe beer for my boss who is Jamaican.
Took the kids to the zoo today. I was happy to see some enclosure updates for some of the animals. The pubic bone pain made pushing the stroller around kind of hard but i powered through. My thought was if I can't get through this pain how would I manage a med free birth?? I am currently bumping from my phone in the car in the driveway while both kids sleep in the back. I have to take DH to get his car from the shop really soon and didn't want to go through the hassle of waking them up, getting them out for 10 min, rounding them up, etc. This is easier, and more relaxing.
@pretzellover I'm sorry about everything you're going through, I'm glad you and your H are standing your ground at the appointment tomorrow.
@zande2016 Sorry that you're not getting clear answers either. Ugh, don't medical professionals understand that this is a scary, stressful time for us?! I have noticed that @acunamatada hasn't been around. I hope all is well with her. I get anxious about people that disappear and worry about them.
@moguippy happy to see you jump back in but so sorry about the lay off and stress. I hope this turns out to be a positive and opens new doors in the end.
This morning I had a growth ultrasound, NST then a standard appointment with my OB. All these appointments are stressing me out. I am absolutely thankful for having access to all this stuff but it's a lot and I get so nervous every time. I still struggle with feeling a lot of movement some days while some days it feels like baby is trying to bust out. Yesterday and today were less active days and I got myself in to such a panic driving to my appointment.
They estimated the baby to currently be 6lbs 15oz, 68th percentile. I am shocked. No wonder I can't eat or breathe. Somehow fundal height is still measuring behind. I'm happy everything looks good but just feeling down and overwhelmed for no reason today.
@runsomewhere I understand how you’re feeling, even when things turn out normal, all the appointments are really stressful for me too. I feel like every time I walk in there, some new concern is raised, and even when it turns out fine my anxiety still goes crazy. Sorry you’re feeling down.
@zande2016 Yes! It's such a roller coaster of emotions for me, mostly nerves. I always say a little prayer for the baby being ok before going in then take a few deep breathes to calm down. Then I leave and I feel like a drama queen because I am low risk and I shouldn't get so worked up.
@moguippy glad to have you back and I am so sorry about the work and financial situation. That absolutely stinks. I hope that you can enjoy the upside of more rest and that you and hubby get back on your feet soon
@runsomewhere I used to have a lot more anxiety about this pregnancy and at some point it got better but I do still wonder about movement sometimes. i learned that if I am constipated even just for a day, baby won't move much! And usually nights are when he has his "Dance parties" like DH calls them. Some babies are in general less active. I have a friend who has a 6 mo old and she was telling me she really wasn't very active in the womb and always freaked her out.
@nimmle I am so lazy today. I really cannot finish this training material I had set myself to do today. Also, I am working from my friend's house and it's HOT. Like, 6F more than where I live. She has AC units but is turning them on like 5 min at a time. One of my biggest symptom with the pregnancy is that I am ALWAYS HOT.
I am forgiving her because she gave me my belated bday present and it's awesome. She got me an Ember mug and the Magnolia Story book from Chip and Joanna Gaines. So stoked to check out that mug!
Hey girls, I am jumping by in to update you. I’ve been getting weekly BPP tests they have been worried my fluid levels have been on the lower side of normal. Went in today and my fluid was at a 3, normal is 6-25. So here we are at the hospital getting monitored. Baby is doing fine but the doctor thinks my placenta is no longer doing what it should. We will be 37 weeks on Thursday- the high risk doctor is recommending we get steroids tonight and deliver at 37 weeks. Looks like my July baby really wanted to be born in June. Waiting on the triage doctors assessment and our plan. But wanted to jump on here and see how you all are doing and to get some love from you ladies. I’m just praying for a healthy baby.
@catftm2018 wow, please keep us posted! I know it's scary but it looks like you made it safely to 37 weeks which is a huge blessing. Praying for a healthy baby for you as well!
I’m still here! And still pregnant! Silently lurking and love titting because I’m cranky and miserable. I start writing something, get side tracked and then I’m behind again.. Been having contractions every 10-20 minutes that I don’t think are doing much... They went down to every 4 this morning... Turns out I just really had to poop. I’m over it. It’s so hot. I’ll gladly volunteer to be our first spontaneous labor..
I was supposed to be done with work but now my supervisors want to take me out to lunch, which sounds great and all but a) I’d have to find someone to watch DS and b) I just don’t want to be social- I don’t actually work in their office. I see them maybe three times a year so I’ll be bombarded with questions. She also asked me for the third time this pregnancy if I was coming back after my leave. I’ve said yes the past two times but now I’m seriously leaning towards going down to per diem or quitting all together. Not sure how to break it to her!
@moguippy I’m so sorry you’re going through all that, that sounds SO stressful. I hope it’s short lived after the baby and you can’t get back on your feet quickly.
@flockofmoosen3 he doesn’t have a college degree so it really limits his options. He’s staying put for now because his job is pretty flexible and he has a company vehicle
Currently sitting in L&D for the 2nd time in less than a week. Started a rash last Wednesday and OB checked my liver labs which were elevated plus high BP. Went to L&D Friday and both were normal. Went to regular OB appt yesterday, high BP and high liver labs again, currently sitting in L&D with normal BP and waiting on the lab results. Been checking BP at home and it’s been high. So why is it normal in the hospital but high every where else?! Makes me feel like this is such a waste of time. No tips for anyone else dealing with this, just commiserating with you all.
@moguippy I am so sorry for the layoff! I can relate with the financial difficulty though my decision to not work was a choice...by the time I got DH to agree that I needed part time work no one wants to hire me because I'm gonna give birth in the next 6-8 weeks! So we are stuck riding it out.
@acunamatada glad you're still here and still preggo!
@catftm2018 37 weeks is still a solid number of weeks to cook a baby! Good luck with delivery and I'm sure everything will be great!
AFM, got a potential part time job interview in the teaching field but will likely let them know I can't start on their date but not WHY, and see if that is a deal breaker before I waste DH's time off work to watch DS while I interview.
I was SO SO SO tired today, I took a 45 minute nap (was gonna be two hours but waited to see if I was gonna have to call the cops on my bro. I didn't) and woke up refreshed, got my pea trellis a little further a long because my peas are growing like CRAZY and needed more support, trimmed my tomatoes and got 3 tomato trellises made. I still have a lot of garden work to get done before Bernie gets here, and it was so nice out and not humid today I had to take advantage of the temp and get something done!
@catftm2018 best of luck! At 37 weeks your baby should be just fine, are they inducing you on Thursday or doing a c section? Keep us posted!
@acunamatada I’m sorry about the contractions, I’d be sooo crabby (I mean I Already am but it would be even worse). I hope it either eases up, or turns into labor, whichever you prefer!
@moguippy I hate the roller coaster of being sent to LandD, it’s awful. I hope you get answers soon and that it all turns out okay!
@SmashJam good luck on the job!! Also sorry to hear about your brother. I’ve been there with my own brother. it’s awful.
So the worst show of the year award has to go to the proposal on abc. It’s sooo bad. Basically this guy proposes marriage to someone after an hour long show. wtf? And yet I’m watching it....
@catftm2018 best of luck! @acunamatada so sorry - i've been there with DD i had timable contractions for a month before we induced - like you said they just didn't seem to do much to get the show started. SO FREAKING frustraiting @moguippy +1 to BP readings all over the place and starting to doubt the freaking machine is right. FX for quick answers and a plan you are good with soon. Congrats @tarheelgirl8 ! @SmashJam girl! where do you get the energy!? I laid in bed working all day and the 1 hour I spent trying to direct 2 men on organizing the kitchen chaos and reheating leftovers, followed by the 2 hours of watching DD and putting her to bed have left me completely wiped out. My front garden is a jungle and I can't imagine weeding net alone building a damn pea trellis and legit gardening! holy crap @zande2016 I say the same thing about every crap reality show on TLC yet i still can't turn away...I'm currently re-watching Glee because I haven't played as much music for this kid and I promised DH i'd watch nothing but musicals until baby comes :-) sounds silly, but it's like the only thing he's asked so why the f not...DH was all-state choir, I did musical theater and choir, and DD already loves singing so why not start DS's musical education early.
@zande2016 omg me too!!! is sister wives still around!? I can't find it anywhere streaming. We've been watching flip or flop on hulu for kitchen inspiration... did they get back together?? i saw an add for a new season and they seemed to be....
@moguippy I’m so sorry to hear about the layoff. I got a layoff notice back in November, about a week before I found out I was pregnant. It’s incredibly stressful trying to find work when you know you’re going to have to have that maternity leave conversation, and that clock seems to tick even faster than normal. A friend of mine who was also the breadwinner of her family actually got laid off (RIF) while on maternity leave, which was crazy. She and I were both fortunate in finding roles at other companies that ended up offering a much better culture and environment, so I’m hoping things will work out well for you too. Doesn’t make it any less stressful while you’re going through it, though, so do what you can on the job front but try to rest and enjoy Netflix or whatever can take your mind away from it for a bit. I was just starting my pregnancy so that absorbed me pretty well. Hoping the BP will come down and that you get some relief from L&D!
It's 10pm and I just finished deep cleaning the kitchen (including the oven, microwave, pantry and the fridge) and scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees. Now I'm laying in bed eating a bowl of peanut butter crunch. My overwhelming urges were satisfied...maybe this is my big burst of energy before the baby comes? I'm 100% okay with having this baby this weekend.
@gingerbride26 the internet says they are divorced as of may 31 2018!! So not back together. If it makes you feel better, when it comes to the garden I haven't weeded a lot lol and most of the hard stuff is gonna be done here soon...then I just wait for the food! Garlic scapes are coming soon!
@SmashJam thanks - yea I'm still impressed with you and @foxbaby2016 and feel like a slug lol I'm sitting here online shopping for kitchen pendants and corbels (the fancy brackets for counter overhang support) and just don't want to adult - if any of that can be considered adulting lol - I also demolished an entire bundt cake - any of you that have a Anything Bundt Cake near you, you HAVE to try these things. My bestie lives in NC and I've been craving these since I visited her in October...she brought me up three and snuck them into the hospital for me in a disney purse for my birthday. Closest one to me is near Albany and they don't ship...nom nom nom
@moguippy welcome back! That sucks about being laid off! I’m sorry that happened. I’m glad you have some support from parents and are able to get unemployment. I hope things start to look up soon!
@pretzellover that sounds incredibly frustrating! I really hope you’re able to get somewhere at your appointment tomorrow. Your doctor’s words and actions just seem completely unprofessional.
Speaking of tv shows, I’ve been binge watching shark tank for the last few days and I CANT STOP watching lol I had never watched it before and I’m just loving it!
Also heartburn is seriously sucking right now. It’s getting so bad at night. I’m having to sleep with my head at an incline which is hurting my neck
Thank you all for the well wishes! We had a steroid shot, and they monitored baby, we go for another one tomorrow night and they are inducing at 37 weeks on Thursday. So I’ll have another baby to add to our bunch!
@moguippy I am so sorry to hear about your job situation. My FX you find something soon.
@acunamatada I’m sorry you are so uncomfortable, my FX you get some relief ASAP
@pretzellover sorry to hear about your frustrating OB situation. I hope it gets resolved and you have a plan after your appt!
@moguippy I can’t imagine how stressful your situation must be. Sending positive vibes and a big virtual hug.
@catftm2018 hope all goes well with the induction!
@summermama18 a little delayed but we just went in to Buy Buy Baby today to get the car seat and asked the woman working the registry about the completion discount and she was able to let us use it without us receiving it yet. So we purchased the uppababy vista stroller and Mesa car seat with it. She was very helpful! And I feel a lot better knowing we have our car seat now.
@acunamatada how frustrating! Sending relief vibes your way!
@zande2016@gingerbride26 werenhuge HGTV fans. Tarek and Christina are definitely divorced but surprise surprise they are back doing the show together...the power of money! We just decided to switch to Hulu no ads and it's so much better! We love project runway and are currently watching season 12!
@catftm2018 you'll do amazing, I'm so excited for you!
@moguippy this BP business seems frustrating, hope it gets resolved soon.
So I went to visit a friend for dinner who didn't make it to my shower...she bought me a 4moms bath tub. We already have a Fisher Price one we got at the shower. Not sure which one I want to return now...I remember early on someone said the 4moms wasn't that great even though it's fancier. And I don't have the box for the Fisher Price anymore, not sure Amazon will take it back. Really grateful for the nice gift but so torn!
@krystlerr I plan on using the completion for the crib because the branswe like is excluded from the usual 20% off discounts. Good pickup with the Uppababy and Mesa! We have the Uppababy too!

Also heartburn is seriously sucking right now. It’s getting so bad at night. I’m having to sleep with my head at an incline which is hurting my neck

@zande2016 @gingerbride26 werenhuge HGTV fans.
