@leilee101 No assisted hatching here. All my embryos were hatching before they were frozen. My last transfer, the embryo was completely hatched. Hope you have a great weekend as well :-)

@kristimh80 glad everything is fine with your results. I completely understand how you are feeling! I’ve said that too. I was tired of normal results but still failing. I wanted something wrong so it could get fixed!
@madasm0530 don’t stress about PIO. I agree with the others. Have your nurse draw targets. It leaves out the guesswork. Also try and alternate between the right and left side if you can. And yes! Heating pad!
AFM, I am tired of waiting for AF so I called my office today. If AF doesn’t come by Monday I will go in for an ultrasound to check to see if I even ovulated in my own this month. I’m pretty sure July is out for me for my FET. Still hoping for August.
@J1006 Awe hang in there girl! Does your clinic make you do BCP before starting meds? If so, and you get AF soon...seems like you'd still be in the running for July. Nothing else, maybe they can give you something to jump start AF.

@kristimh80 yes they do. I have been scheduled for 20 days on BCP and 30 days. I know they only do it for scheduling purposes. Then I’m on Lupron for awhile then I start my estrogen. Im going to be pushy this time and hopefully I can get my FET for the first week of August at the latest. DH is on vacation and it’s my last week of summer break. My nurse said they will check to see if I ovulated. If I did I just have to wait it out. If not, they will give me something to jump start AF.
@J1006 FX it works out and you can jump start AF an don't have to wait as long. I wish they didn't make you wait to be on their schedule

@kristimh80 Glad you are moving forward. Sorry you didn't get any answers. It's very frustrating. At least you know that you are timing it correctly. PGS seems like it should be a sure thing, but it isn't always, as I know all too well. There is so much science and so much doctors do know, but also so much that remains a mystery. @leilee101 They saw it in the baseline ultrasound. It was left over from the retrieval. Still waiting to hear back from them about what the plan is. @j1006 So frustrating to have to wait. It's like ...I made it this far lets get on with it already!
kristimh80 I totally understand how it feels to want answers when being told time after time, everything is normal. The frustration can be so overwhelming at times. I had my cervical dilation on Friday and pushed for my docs to just give me a hysteroscopy since I'll be put under anyway. That only showed my uterus was perfectly normal, too. Fingers crossed for you, me and everyone their next FET is a success
@bebesparrow Yes...the one time in my life I'd love to hear there is a problem That's great you were able to knock both out at the same time! When about are you planning your transfer?
@suziev3 So true...so much to all of this is such a mystery! I told my husband that part of me want to go ahead and redo our flooring an push back the transfer...only because I could see where my $$ went lol It won't happen...but after awhile I think random things

Hi ladies, can I join? We are scheduled for our FET in July. We did a fresh cycle in February and in the month our doctor made us take off after the BFP, we discovered one of our dogs had a super aggressive cancer and we had to put him down. We ended up taking a little break before trying again to reset emotionally. I didn’t really post last time but know I’ll need emotional support this go around!
For those of you that said the PIO was no big deal - do you have any tips or secrets that made it not suck? I struggled with them a lot last cycle I asked my nurse if we could do a smaller needle and she said no.
@missBrittBritt Welcome! So sorry to hear about your puppy I'm a huge dog lover, so I know that and everything else couldn't have been easy for you. As for PIO, the last go-around, I had my nurse draw small circles on each side for me. I'm glad I did because what I thought was the "right place" wasn't technically correct! For me, I always use a heating pad to heat the injection area, then heat the syringe with oil in it so it thins the oil and makes the shot quick! Then usually massage the area for a second. Unfortunately, I think no matter what, it's not the funnest thing! But I'll take it over having to wear pads, etc with suppositories

@MissBrittBritt Welcome! I agree with kristimh80 about the PIO. Definitely have them draw targets. It’s great if you are doing them in your own or even for someone else giving you the shot. It takes the guesswork out of it. Alternate between sides if you can. I had to do two daily so I would do the AM shots on my left and the PM shots on my right. Make sure you massage it after. There were a couple mornings I was in a rush and didn’t take the time to massage it and I could tell a difference later on in the day.
AFM, AF finally came!!! Calling this morning to schedule my hysteroscopy and getting this FET started.
@kristimh80 love your new avatar. So cute. LOL at seeing where the money is going.
@bebesparrow Very nice to get two procedures at once out of the way, even if no problems were found, it's good for peace of mind.
@missbrittbritt welcome to the July group. I am so sorry for the loss of your dog, I know they can be a huge part of the family.
Question for those that have had a hysteroscopy - did your RE make you wait a whole cycle before the FET? My OB/GYN that is doing the procedure asked that we prevent pregnancy following the hysteroscopy until the next cycle...but I didn't get a feel from my RE one way or another. Just curious about your experiences. If we wait out another natural cycle I'm looking at transfer around the first week of August....assuming the next batch of tests come back normal and there's nothing to correct.
@MissBrittBritt Welcome and I’m sorry about the loss of your doggie.. been there and it really sucks! We just had to put two dogs down in the last 2 years. It literally one of the worst feelings ever. Also agree with @kristimh80 with the PIO heat the area, heat the needles’!
@bebesparrow Glad everything looks normal up in your ute
@J1006 YAY for AF finally coming ... I started BCP last Thur .. ugh hate it but that will be my life for the next two weeks.
@ChristenMA83 Not sure they only time I had A hysteroscopy was when they did the septum surgery in Jan I was Told to prevent pregnancy for the month after surgery.
@madasm0530 Glad it’s finally at zero and you can move forward.
@leilee101 Not sure about assisted hatching All my embryos at 6 so I’m almost positive they are completely hatched.
@ChristenMA83 lol Thanks! Dogs are so much cuter and when I see one it makes me happy...so was time fo a change! As for the hysteroscopy, I don't see why it would matter honestly. I never had one right before a FET cycle, but all they are doing is looking to make sure there's nothing going on up there...nothing really intrusive unless they need to get rid of something they see. Your OB is probably just overly cautious. Maybe she said it in case anything makes your bleed / spot a little after. In that case...remember, lots of RE's will do endo scratches before FET's..so if anything...maybe it could help

@MissBrittBritt Welcome. Sorry about your pup. Losing a dog and friend is so hard. @kristimh80 Lol. I know what you mean. After my first cycle, I thought...wow, I invested so much and put off so many things, just to end up with heartbreak? Think of all the traveling or landscaping I could have done with that time and money. But obviously, we have to believe that one day it will pay off and be totally worth all the struggle. It will be worth more than any trip or material thing we could have had x1000. @J1006 AF! Finally.
I don’t understand how I fall
so behind here. Lol.
leilee101 I hear
you. I just wished for one healthy one. I
would’ve freaked if there were two. And now second time around, I’m freaking
out that the egg could split. Haha. Let’s hope not!
kristimh80 oooh
geez. That sucks. Why would they ask when they actually KNOW what you’re going
through? For me ***TW*** whenever I’m with my daughter I can’t/don’t want to
really drink because I’m not relaxed lol. A lot of people WANT to drink because
of their kids but I feel like I’m constantly running around what’s the point?
So I only drink when she’s sleeping or something. Haha ***END TW*** So glad to
hear that everything looks good but I hear your frustration. Me and DH TTC for
two years naturally. Then 6 IUIs and nothing happened. There was no explanation
for this. His samples were always impressive and there is nothing wrong with
me. So I hear you.
ChristenMA83 yay
for CD 1 coming! For my hysteroscopy, I got AF, went for baseline, went for
hysteroscopy when I was pretty much ovulating. Now waiting for AF once more to
actually start. They just told me not to have sex after AF and before
hysteroscopy. They don’t want you to be pregnant during hysteroscopy.
suziev3 I was
so bummed to read about your cyst. Please have hope. It will happen. I have
heard of some incredible stories from women where they were TTC’ing for longer
than two years and finally got their miracle. Please don’t give up!!
sidilly you
add ice to red wine or white wine?? Red wine, I agree with your DH. Lol White
wine I think it would be ok since it’s served cold anyway.
madasm0530 don’t
fear the PIO shots. What’s so funny about them is that you don’t want to do
them, you can’t wait to stop them! And then ***TW*** for me when it worked, I
didn’t want to stop them because I thought that was helping me stay pregnant.
My RE said we could keep doing it if it makes us feel comfortable. So we did
for about two days and then stopped and all was ok. ***END TW***
MissBrittBritt sorry
you find yourself here but welcome. And so sorry to hear about your dog. Losing
pets sucks! I lost my cat this spring. L and
dog two years ago.
AFM: Expecting AF tomorrow. But it’s always a day or two here
or there. I’m hoping it comes sooner than later so we can keep our July 4
plans. Otherwise transfer will be delayed and smack in the middle of July 4 weekend
and we will have to cancel our plans. Ugh.
@Drove2u You're so right! Being I'm always on some medicated cycle, etc it' rare for me to drink much anyways. My DH's family are huge wine-o's so they don't know any better...plus his parents have 12 grandkids, so we are just the weird one's! LOL I'm over here with you on AF watch. Stopped BC on Friday, so hoping some sort of "flow" happens soon!
@suziev3 You're totally right! Seems like everyone is getting married this year, so bypassing a lot of weddings. DH's bff is getting married March 29th and if July works...that's right at my due date, nevertheless. But who knows...I've stopped planning much anymore. In my head, a lot of it is knowing I shouldn't do things and wanting to rebel lol

@Drove2u Hopefully AF shows up soon!! You'll be one of the firsts for July FET! Do you have big fourth of july plans?? you can always have them put you on BCP for a week so you can push it back a week if you have plans???
@kristimh80 12!!!! grandkids?? OMG!!! FX for AF to show up soon
@ndz2018 we don't have any HUGE plans but being that my mom is in rehab now recovering from chemo and she lives 3 horus away we don't get to see her that often. Also my bro and sis in law have been asking us to come over but every free weekend we have we go to my parents. So we decided to go to my parents and visit my mom from July 4-6 and then my brother at his lake house which is only 45 minutes from my parents from 6-8. So I would just hate to miss a day with someone there. But we would have to. Honestly I don't want to take BCP to delay it for a week because there is something ALWAYS coming up that I would just delay and do that forever. lol
But anyway so...AF came! Still not full flow but will be later today or tomorrow. Either way I'm going to go for my CD2-3 on Wednesday morning for baseline. Will probably start meds then too I assume?? Timing works out perfectly as I work from home Wednesdays so can relax and not rush to work after...which is 2 hours away!!
@Drove2u Yep! My husband is 1 of 6 kids and everyone has 2 - 3 each. So they really don't get our situation. Yay for AF! Mine is slowly getting there but still not quite full flow. Just annoying spotting...I think I keep running to the bathroom hoping it's here!

ChristenMA83 Hello! I did my hysteroscopy on 6/15, got my results right away at post-op recovery. My doctor told me we can jump right into another FET when I get my period, and lo and behold, I got it the next day 6/16 when he expected it to come 5 days later or so. Now I am CD 2, and waiting on his instructions. Since I had a pretty difficult time doing PIO last cycle, we are opting for a natural cycle with only estrogen pills and progesterone suppositories. I am an RN myself, so I was doing awesome giving myself the injections until the 10th day when I poked a nerve and boy, was I reeling in pain. I got really discouraged at that point so my husband was doing them for me (bless his heart) up until we got word our first FET was negative. Good luck for your hysteroscopy! Now that AF is here, I'll be aiming for a early July FET.
kristimh80Looking at an early July transfer. I'll be doing a natural cycle so they'll go based off my ovulation.
@bebesparrow Awesome! The July FET spreadsheet is in my signature if you want to add your info to it It makes it easier for everything to keep up with one another.

Well ladies - got a call from my RE. He pulled a fast one on me and told me he suggests doing PIO shots over the natural cycle he led me to believe we were going to do this round. He said he can better control the cycle bc of this and doesn’t want to miss my ovulation with the constant monitoring of a natural cycle. Omgosh I cried bc I was blind sighted but I’ll do anything that he thinks will help. Got to keep the faith! I’ll just invest in Lidocaine patches, heating pads, ice, whatever it takes. So I’ll be going through the PIO shots starting July 4 for me. Starting estrogen pills today. My transfer is now scheduled for July 9! Am so thankful I found this board bc knowing am not alone, makes this cycle much more hopeful! July, here we go!
@bebesparrow YAY for getting your transfer date!! Sorry you've got to do the PIO but anything for a take home baby, right? Hey at least you dont have to do PIO and Endometrium suppositories like me .
UGH YOU GUYS I already ,6 days in , forgot to take me BCP last night! I am really , really hoping I don't start spotting! Last time I was on BC back in Jan I forgot to take it ONE NIGHT and spotted the next day and for the following two weeks!! Not that the spotting will make a difference its more of an inconvenience more than anything... My hate for BCP is REAL!!
@ndz2018 I feel ya! The whole time this month on BC, even after my period, I've spotted daily!!! Ugh! Yesterday it was slightly heavier, then today kind of whatever.
Edited: AFM Going in tomorrow for sonogram to see where my lining is and when to start my Estrace. Since starting BCP at my last AF, which was a week ago, I've spotted daily. Yesterday, was just a little heavier spotting, so didn't know if that would count as CD 1 or needed to wait for a real flow. So confusing!

@ndz2018 Honestly, I didn't even see the point of BCP's because the results only took 10 days to come back and should have been back before i'd start progesterone if there was any changes to be made. I sound like a broken record but I really need to practice some patience. I finally got the call from the scheduler today and she said to start BC on CD3.. welp, I've NEVER ovulated on my own so I have to go in tomorrow for bloodwork to determine if I can start provera now - FX I can and don't need to wait to start. This will likely push everything back by a couple weeks and am now looking at an August FET.

Just a quick update on me. Had bloodwork this morning for the NK panel and environmental panel...that can take 10 days to come back. Did the Hysteroscopy as well, the doctor was surprised to find some scar tissue, which she took care of...so I'm glad we did this procedure since that could have effected the success of the next transfer.
Will call tomorrow and schedule the follow up with the RE to review the hysteroscopy results. Definitely pushes FET to at least August, but ai'll stick around here since several of us are in the same boat.
@ChristenMA83 Sounds like you're getting everything in the right order going! I wish we had done the NK panel at least. I may ask tomorrow while at the doctor if they think it's something needed. Glad they were able to help with your scar tissue right away! Please stay around and chat with us! :-)

AFM, I am tired of waiting for AF so I called my office today. If AF doesn’t come by Monday I will go in for an ultrasound to check to see if I even ovulated in my own this month. I’m pretty sure July is out for me for my FET. Still hoping for August.

@leilee101 They saw it in the baseline ultrasound. It was left over from the retrieval. Still waiting to hear back from them about what the plan is.
@j1006 So frustrating to have to wait. It's like ...I made it this far lets get on with it already!
@suziev3 So true...so much to all of this is such a mystery! I told my husband that part of me want to go ahead and redo our flooring an push back the transfer...only because I could see where my $$ went lol It won't happen...but after awhile I think random things

I struggled with them a lot last cycle

@J1006 AF! Finally.
I don’t understand how I fall so behind here. Lol.
leilee101 I hear you. I just wished for one healthy one. I would’ve freaked if there were two. And now second time around, I’m freaking out that the egg could split. Haha. Let’s hope not!
kristimh80 oooh geez. That sucks. Why would they ask when they actually KNOW what you’re going through? For me ***TW*** whenever I’m with my daughter I can’t/don’t want to really drink because I’m not relaxed lol. A lot of people WANT to drink because of their kids but I feel like I’m constantly running around what’s the point? So I only drink when she’s sleeping or something. Haha ***END TW*** So glad to hear that everything looks good but I hear your frustration. Me and DH TTC for two years naturally. Then 6 IUIs and nothing happened. There was no explanation for this. His samples were always impressive and there is nothing wrong with me. So I hear you.
ChristenMA83 yay for CD 1 coming! For my hysteroscopy, I got AF, went for baseline, went for hysteroscopy when I was pretty much ovulating. Now waiting for AF once more to actually start. They just told me not to have sex after AF and before hysteroscopy. They don’t want you to be pregnant during hysteroscopy.
J1006 yay for AF and getting started!! Whoo hoo!!
suziev3 I was so bummed to read about your cyst. Please have hope. It will happen. I have heard of some incredible stories from women where they were TTC’ing for longer than two years and finally got their miracle. Please don’t give up!!
sidilly you add ice to red wine or white wine?? Red wine, I agree with your DH. Lol White wine I think it would be ok since it’s served cold anyway.
madasm0530 don’t fear the PIO shots. What’s so funny about them is that you don’t want to do them, you can’t wait to stop them! And then ***TW*** for me when it worked, I didn’t want to stop them because I thought that was helping me stay pregnant. My RE said we could keep doing it if it makes us feel comfortable. So we did for about two days and then stopped and all was ok. ***END TW***
MissBrittBritt sorry you find yourself here but welcome. And so sorry to hear about your dog. Losing pets sucks! I lost my cat this spring. L and dog two years ago.
AFM: Expecting AF tomorrow. But it’s always a day or two here or there. I’m hoping it comes sooner than later so we can keep our July 4 plans. Otherwise transfer will be delayed and smack in the middle of July 4 weekend and we will have to cancel our plans. Ugh.
