We are meeting up with some friends at the splash pad in a little bit. I am already dreading it because the high is 95 today. If one more person tells me how terrible it is to have to be pregnant during the summer...

@southernlady07 i 100 percent feel ya on the summer comments!! I am tired of hearing the same thing and people telling me their opinions on pregnancy during summer "down here" and how to stay cool. They get a shocked look and ususlly stfu when i tell them i know all about it bc this baby is due a week before my dd's birthday....been there....done that...got a tshirt thanks ha
Woke up to the best noise. Our noisy neighbors are moving!!!! Max may be barking up a storm because of the noise of them moving stuff up and down the stairs... but at least she won't be barking at them because of the loud music anymore.
im hoping for another productive cleaning/throwing stuff out Day. We had one day a couple weeks ago where we made progress but then no time to continue. We got up and about early, just got back from a target trip and it’s only 11, so I think we’re on track to make a dent in the mess!
.... me all spring: “we are not planting a garden, we are not planting a garden, we are not planting a garden” ... also me: hey look rogue romaine, and potatos from last year! DH: well let’s plant just pumpkins, and the 3 tomatoes i asked my sister for... and then he throws in the potatos and onions that sprouted in our basement,
... we just spent the day weeding the un-garden, and putting in pumpkins, 2 kinds of squash, and watermelon...

Today is DS's 2nd birthday party! Looking forward to celebrating with him and spending some time with family. It's going to be a gorgeous day, high of 81, mostly sunny (with a big tree in the backyard to provide shade), and yummy food and cake.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes for DS's birthday! He had a blast with his cousins and new water table and sandbox and played outside most of the day. We had plenty of food, everyone seemed to have had a good time so that was great. We forgot to get ice cream out with the cake, but I don't think anyone missed it too much considering everything else they had to eat beforehand. It was a great day .
@ashh2018 I hope you and your DH were able to get a lot done today, I know what you mean about trying to keep pushing forward.
@jhjocelyn ah even though you weren't planning on it I hope you enjoy the garden!
@nackie the zoo sounds like fun! We got tickets as a gift to one of our local experience zoos. Looking forward to going soon!
@nlc8424 glad the party was a success and your son had a great time. And how lucky that the weather was nice! We have season passes to the zoo since DS loves the animals, but I think this was our last trip for the summer. My pregnant self can’t handle all those hills in 90+ degrees anymore
@jhjocelyn even though it was kind of unplanned I’m sure you will love all the veggies/watermelon when they come in. I used to run a small non-profit and we had a 1.5 acre garden that I planted and the food all went to the local homeless shelter. I tried to plant watermelons, but when they were finally getting big something came and ate them. So sad!!
Nice work @jhjocelyn ! And here I am, proud of tending my little kitchen herbs and potted tomato plants this year. It's more than we did last year! Lol. I'm sure it'll allbe wonderful once it starts to come in...
