I will be 8 weeks tomorrow, 1st time mom. Expecting my rainbow child around 12/22/18...I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
Had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago, heartbeat was strong and all my blood work looked good. My next appt is Monday. Hopefully these appointment jitters will subside after the 2nd one.
I am still learning the abbreviations and do ajd dont's for posting. Please let me know if there's anything I need to know.

Just that we're glad you're here with us! Congrats!
My name is Brandi and I’m the mama of 2 amazing little boys ages 6 and 4. Found out I was pregnant with our 3rd right before Easter and due Dec 2nd. We just found out 2 days ago that apparently it’s number 3 AND number 4 so TWINS!!
I’m excited to see another twin mama on here!! We just found out we’re expecting twins making these 3 and 4 for us so in a similar boat. Would love any twin tips!
@BCutiePie Hi! I found out a couple of weeks ago that I'm having twins! I was planning on starting a Mom's of Multiples check in thread on Monday, so I'll make sure to tag you and @sheshae! Congratulations! We're in a for a wild ride!
@abyrdie85- what’s up due date twin! I also have an appointment on Monday, but it will be my first—I can’t wait for that ultrasound! Welcome and good luck on Monday!
Hello! I'm 7 weeks today, so due on Dec 31 (I think). Expecting our first, and a little nervous to share with family as our last ended in a miscarriage in Feb. Going to share our news at the end of June on our1 year anniversary!
Hey ladies. I'm new to bump. First pregnancy. Estimated due date 12/23. First OB appointment on Wednesday. My husband and i are very excited and nervous. We gad been trying for a while, so there is a sense of relief followed by anxiety. Nice to have this community. Congratulations everyone.
Hi there, im new! My name is Jo. Mom to a 11 and 9 year old, boy and girl. EDD 12/31. First appt this Friday. Pretty nervous. Had a miscarriage last November. Praying for the best. Though! I feel like this baby is so strong, getting hit hard with the symptoms. Crazy sense of smell to where any smell makes me want to hurl/gag, the sorest boobs and always so tired. Happy to be here and share with you all.
Hi everyone - I've been lurking for a while but wasn't ready to introduce myself until I knew more. Well, I just had my first ultrasound and everything looks great. Heard a strong heartbeat! The baby is about 8 weeks 5 days. Was feeling nervous and anxious for a variety of reasons including that I haven't had strong symptoms, just sore boobs and bloating. Starting to feel a lot more excited now. EDD of 12/22. I just turned 40 and this is my first, but I also have two awesome step kids. Happy to be part of this group.
@mysbecca due date twins! Welcome! I'm also incredibly nervous since this is my first, but this community has been very helpful. Congrats!
@angelo_in_va welcome! I'm with you in the lacking symptoms boat. Really haven't had anything major, and that was worrisome. Even after my first ultrasound, I'm still worried. I don't know that it ever goes away!
I'm a newbie here too, my EDD is Dec 27th. I'm a first time mom and I'm far away from friends and family too! Thank goodness for my boyfriends family for the support. Him and I are so excited to start this journey!

Hi all! Excited to be joining in on this forum. I'm due December 19. I'll be a first time mom. I'm finishing up my PhD and will be on the job market as well during pregnancy / with the baby -- if anyone else is in that boat too, I'd love to connect!
Hello all! Tying to read through everything and get to know you all as I get caught up. Little late to the party! I am currently 9+ weeks with our second LO, due Dec. 15th (first is 22mths). I am 37, and this is our statistical unicorn as both my husband and I have infertility dx.
Happy to be here a second time and hope it’s a great group of ladies again!
@AdorkablePixie it is!! We were in the infertility board together. Wasn’t your LO in May? I can’t remember if you were the cycle before or after me. Or am I misremembering? I’m so excited for you!! Hope all is well with your LO!
Found out a few weeks ago and confirmed at Doctor that DH and I are expecting. Surprise to both of us as we weren't exactly trying to conceive.
I'm excited, he is... Nervous?! All is well, as I trust God's plans for us. Current due date is 12/23/18! Yaaay for Christmas babies!
It's been rough so far and I'm waiting till the doctor tells me we're in the safe zone as I've had a history of loss. Fingers crossed and prayers sent up. Hoping that this one sticks, as it feels more real and right than it ever has before.
@LilGypsyMama I know where you're coming from. We were surprised with our pregnancy too. And I'm feeling excited now, and so is definitely more hesitant about it. We also share the same due date! Welcome, and I will be thinking of you and sending good vibes your way.
Hey! This is my first. EDD the 19th. Baby was planned and prayed for, but I've been getting nervous lately. Anybody out there with sagelike calm? 'Cause I'm jealous.
Hiiii guyzz I was a lurky loo with DS and DD (well hello again PGAL paranoia) but the BMB groups were awesome regardless and I want to try and come out of the shadows this time! Third ones the charm, right? Due 12/31/18
Hello! I'm part of team anxious and PGAL, so I've hesitated to post. We've been trying for 2 years and I was ready to give up. ***TW*** I had a loss in August of last year, and a CP in January, and I tend to protect myself by preparing for the worst. ***End TW*** Now, I've had two ultrasounds that look good. Due date is December 27th, so I was 8 weeks yesterday. I live in San Francisco with my husband, two sweet terriers and my "big girl" who is 3 (or as I like to call her, a threenager). Congrats to everyone and glad to finally come into the open and join in. I found my last BMB super helpful and supportive and I hope to be able to offer some of that here.
I’ve had the bump app on my phone for a couple weeks now and just noticed the community section. Anyway I’m expecting my 1st my due date is December 5th. I live in Scottsdale Arizona but I’ll be in Miami when the baby is born. Umm let’s see what else, oh I’m a personal trainer as well.
Hi all! I am also new to The Bump, but excited to have a community of other moms due in (or around) December. This is our first child (my hubby & I got married last year). EDD is December 10th. I’ve been to the doctor once so far and go back in two weeks for our next appointment. Heartbeat and U/S both looked good. I’ve been battling pretty intense morning sickness (which is actually more like afternoon/evening sickness), and have definitely started to feel some increased anxiety. It’s nice to know I am not alone! Looking forward to feeling better soon and gaining some energy back. Congratulations, everyone!
@ckonscider I'm a PhD student now, but I only just finished my first year of classes. I'm hoping I can handle the workload and new motherhood without too much help since we do not have family nearby. I know @Katzalia had a baby during a fellowship so she might have advice on how to handle interviews while pregnant!

@ckonscider happy to chat — feel free to message me. I’m a few years out now, but went through interviewing while pregnant with my now 4 year old. And welcome!
Hi. I’m in Vancouver BC. I downloaded this app looking for something different than what I used when I was pregnant with my son (2 years old). I have an 18 year old daughter as well. I’m 37 and am 11 weeks 3 days due dec 8.
@jessiestg1980 It is extremely odd to me that you would start off your participation here by calling many of the ladies on this board losers and trolls, and then introduce yourself here as if nothing happened. If you want to be a part of this community (that many of us have contributed to for months) you may want to at least apologize? And/or at least check out the Read This First post to see how this board is set up and what the culture is like?
@maureenmce I was defending a woman you all shamed for mistakenly making a gender guess post. Get over yourself. This is absolutely trolling now. You need to leave me alone
@jessiestg1980 It is absolutely not trolling (?) to point out you insulted a bunch of people on this board and then introduced yourself and started interacting like nothing happened. Apologize or not, it's up to you, but it's extremely odd.
@maureenmce I don’t agree. The discussion was higher up on the boards than this one at the time. I only commented because of the way she was treated, then I was treated poorly and defended myself. You can stop following me around now. Thanks.

@jessiestg1980 It's interesting that you call reacting to your rude behavior and you specifically tagging me "following you around" but yes, we are done here because you are clearly not going to apologize or make any effort to learn the board culture, and I'm not a huge fan of wasting my breath, so have a nice night!
