Hey hi, friends! Cautiously joining after a couple of weeks of lurking. Had a BFP 4/16 and started bleeding that day through 4/18. Went in for serial betas 4/18 and 4/20 which were trending appropriately. I go back again for another lab work up this Friday. Not sure of an EDD - I had my IUD removed 3/12 and didn’t have a period with it or after it. I had been testing the week before so my guesses are somewhere between 12/24-12/29.
Anyway, this will be baby #3 for me. I have a 7 yo boy and my daughter just turned 2 last week. I was super active in the A’16 board and still speak with a group of those mamas daily on our little FB group. One of them is in here right now.. here’s looking at you @AGK2015
My husband and I just found out (on Friday) we're expecting our first child on Dec 7th 2018. Current guessitimation is that we're about 7 wks & 4 days. Im 33, soon to be 34 in Aug and my husband will be 36 in June. We're thrilled and nervous. We have our first Drs appt on May 11th. We're hoping to get an ultrasound that day to announce to his family and the rest of mine that a little one is on the way. Really excited to get to know everyone on here. Also if anyone knows how to delete a discussion post, let me know. I accidentally created a new post when I was trying to post on here to introduce myself. Sorry! Lots of newness for me right now.
Hi @kadeephd Congrats! I’m in the same boat. Found out I was pregnant the week I was in Barbados! And that was a week coming back from Mexico. I’m so nervous about Zika too!
Hi All! Estimated due date 12/19/18. I’m so nervous because I found out I was pregnant while I was on vacation in Barbados and that was after coming back from Mexico! I’m so nervous about Zika. Nothing I can do now. I’m so excited aNd nervous!
@tata1231 Congrats! My bet is that we are both fine since cases are way down, though I'm still super anxious myself. @musicalmommy3 is along for the Zika ride with us too. Are you going to see if you qualify for testing?
@cmjenkies I've been stalking the intro thread waiting for your debut. You already know how glad I am that you're here! My Bump experience just isn't complete without a shade sister around
Hi everyone! We got our BFP a few days ago, and we are still in shock. This will be baby number 5 for us. Four boys so far! With our twins only being 10 months we are excited/

I have never been more happier to see the big beautiful blue plus signs! Been trying to conceive for a year! I'm 24 and had an MC 5 years ago with zero luck until now! Hoping this one is a sticky little jelly bean!
Congrats to everyone! I got my BFP Monday 16Apr, and you know when you are late, and you take a test just because, that's what you do, right? You never expect it to be positive... and then one day, it is! We were unprotected since Dec2016, and with our wedding coming this September, we decided to protect ourselves before & during ovulation (I chart BBT, CM and CP) starting a couple months ago. Well, apparently accidents happen, because now that we weren't trying, we're expecting! Monday morning I took the test I couldn't believe, and I was so excited that I took another Monday night, Tuesday morning, and a positive blood test Tuesday afternoon. We have our first appointment with the nurse on 02May. I cannot wait for an ultrasound to be schedule so we might relax a little bit!
Since I know my ovulation date was 29Apr, baby should be due around 21Dec. We're so excited!!
I graduate in May from college I found out April 18th that I'm pregnant with my first child and am ECSTATIC! (: I'm approx. 6 wks 4 days along and due on my birthday December 15th.
FTM here. My DH and I will both be 30 when the little one arrives. *TW* We had a CP two months ago so I've been a little hesitant to introduce myself, but figured it was time *end TW* Officially 5 weeks today with a edd of 12/26. First appointment inst until the 10th.
@NickNack11 I'm exhausted too. I dont know how I forgot that. Well I guess I do, lol. You have a twin? That's so cool. My husband swears that everything that should be going on with me is going on with him. He has heartburn, headaches, backaches, vomiting, extremely tired, etc. I'm like dude it's going to be ok. We have 8 more months of this
@ShilohRyan This is random, but how do you feel about having a December birthday? I have always heard people complain and am just cut about your thoughts.
@katy0990 I can answer this too, if you don’t mind. I also have a December bday. Lol, but early December. There are lots of December babies in my family. I like it, but when I was a kid it was sometimes boring to me because I love to be outside, but my birthday just wasn’t the right time of year for Park/picnic type parties. Overall, it’s an exciting month for me because it’s my bday and Christmas! I’m due on 12/26, so I’m a little more concerned about my baby’s birthday. The closer you get to Xmas, the harder it is to get non holiday events scheduled (and money is generally more tight). On the plus side, many people are off work/school.
Maybe we can have a thread about everyone’s feels over having a baby around the winter holidays?
@tumbleed-1 Thanks for the insight! I had always planned on avoiding a December birthday for our children, but after my loss I just decided that whatever happens, happens. It will be nice that my child will most likely always be off for his/her birthday and as a teacher, I will too. I’m due 12/31and I know chances are good he/she will not come on the due date, but I do think a NYE birthday would be cool. I just don’t want his or her special day to always be overshadowed or lumped with Christmas.
Hello! I have been waiting 3 days since I joined to be able to talk to all of you. My husband and I found out almost 2 weeks ago that we will be expecting baby #2 this December! 12.9.18 We have a daughter who will be 2 in Aug. Were very excited!
@byrdiebabee omg..my husband is the same way! LOL!! He goes.."well i've been pregnant my whole life then" when I tell him my symptoms. It makes me so mad! Lol. How funny. I hear husbands can have residual symptoms as well...maybe ours do!
@katy0990 ...lots of December babies in my family.
MH’s family has a lot of Decembers too! He said that LO is just in line with the family tradition. When kiddo is older I want to publicly celebrate their half birthday instead, because it’s easier to party in June. Besides, I'm a June baby who loves June parties.

My birthday is very near Christmas - growing up it was tough to schedule a birthday party because we were already out of school and families were well into their own holiday plans. I got a lot of "combined gifts" so I didn't get as many as my siblings, but looking back my gifts were more big ticket than the separate ones they received.
there are two motivations in sports, which is yours?
Hi everyone! We got our positive on 4/17/18. Super excited and nervous (see below TW). Due date of 12/30/18. I live in the sunshine state and have a 4 year old son. I am excited to get to know you all. :-)
**** TW **** I am here following a miscarriage at 10 weeks along on January 19th. Following the loss was a 70 day cycle then this cycle!
@NickNack11 right, right! I think my hubby is really having anxiety same as I am. Tomorrow is my first US and today I swear I've felt so nervous. My goodness...I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. So, naturally he's like "I cant sleep. I'm soooooo nervous." lol. Its hilarious and sweet at the same time. It feels good to have support.
I got my IUD removed last month, happened to be the day after my period started and I hadn’t started tracking anything since to TTC. So when I started thinking that it should be time my period rolled around, I looked up the date of that DR appt and yes I was a day late. I was like “ok just a day, it happens all the time” but I had this feeling that wouldn’t go away- same as when I found out with my #1. So I decided to get a test and BFP! I didn’t think I’d be one of those that got pregnant their first cycle after the IUD removal. Yay here comes #2. Our DS is 3 years old and we had been thinking about giving him a sibling for a while now. I’m 5 weeks along very sleepy and hungry all day
@echo-charlietango I have been thinking about doing a half birthday also. I always said I did not want a December birthday, and always planned to avoid it, but since it just didn’t seem to be happening we decided to not avoid this month. But, I think it would be pretty neat to do a half birthday, although not completely sure how to go about it ha ha
Hi everyone! Just found out I’m expecting my 4th baby soon! According to my LMP, the due date is December 28th! I’m 28, and my husband and I already have 3 girls. Our oldest is 10 (we got married/pregnant straight out of high school) and we have a 6 year old, and a 5 year old. Anyways, can’t wait to chat with other moms out there throughout this journey. Best wishes to everyone out there!
Hey there! I found out last week that we are expecting our first and I am over the moon. I just turned 31. Went in for initial blood work that put me around 4.5/5 weeks and I am going tomorrow for a 6 week ultrasound. I’m so happy but cannot help feeling overly cautious and scared to celebrate just yet.
I have never been pregnant before but my husband and I went through a failed IVF cycle for male factor at the end of January/February. None of the 24 eggs retrieved successfully made it to blastocyst due to sperm quality so this truly is a miracle. I feel a little traumatized from the experience so I can’t help but feel so weary and cautious with hearing this pregnancy is going strong. DH (36) actually went in today for vericocel repair surgery!
Looking forward to being a part of this group and having all this support!!! Nicknamed the baby Miracle Baby as I felt it was appropriate. ❤️ Good luck to everyone getting through the nervous 1st trimester!
Hey yall!! I got my BFP yesterday and according to my calculations I’ll be due on December 31! We’re on the fence of Jan and Dec, so we will see! My name is Heavne. This will be my second baby; previously a regular on the July 16 board with my daughter Brooke. Baby dust to everyone!
@kadeephd thank you! I’m going to see what my doctor says. I assume he will recommend some tests. I’m fine with that. Especially if it’s a simple blood test. My nerves were on edge with my last pregnancy...this one they will be even worse!!!!
I'm 8 weeks along, due 12/6 (@xx-stagemommy looks like we have the same EDD). We conceived with IVF after trying for years on our own. This will be our first. I'm 35 and DH is 41. We have 2 dogs (boxers).
@coybig DH will be staying home with our little one when they arrive....he's not much for forums and internet communities though.
@ChristenMA83 It's nice to see you over in this group too! It's a very active group (much more going on over here than in our other board). It's a great community so far! And congrats again on your bean!

Long time bumpie returning to the fold! This will be our 3rd, my due date is December 15th. I had actually called my GYNO to make an appointment because my periods had gotten all wonky in the last few months. I thought menopause was knocking on my door early and then SURPRISE! Our 9 yo is over the moon and wants a little sister so bad. We've decided to drive our families nuts again and not find out the sex of this baby. I look forward to getting to know you all and to the shenanigans that are sure to ensue.
Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a few weeks and I felt like I should finally introduce myself. My husband and I are 29 and are expecting our first due 12/4! We've been trying for 6 months and are very excited it is happening! Looking forward to being on this journey with you all!

Hey. Just a reminder, and I know we must have covered this on the July 16 board, but the term baby dust is incredibly offensive and hurtful. A lot of moms who have lost their sweet babies either before or after birth have actual ashes of their angel babies. Please don’t use the term. It’s really hurtful.
Hi ladies! My husband and I (31 and 30) have been trying for baby #2 for a few months and I got my BFP last week! EDD is January 2nd, but I'm mostly likely going to be having a C-section which means baby will be born in December. My son Everett is 18 months old and I'm so excited for him to be a big brother! I was very actively on my O16 board and I still participate in our Facebook group daily, so I can't wait to get to know you ladies!
